Can we not rule lawyer in a casual game with an obviously lax DM. That'd be nice.
You seem really insistent on killing this goblin.
IDK why we don't let Haruki's character organically talk to it for a few cycles. Makes no sense to rush to kill here.
I mean, it is simply common sense.
Isn't Haruki waiting on the goblin to reply.
I do not think the rest of the party would appreciate you impulsively murdering the goblin, useful info or not, on a whim.

Location: City Sewers, The City-State of Thorinn, Aetheria

“I don't think so.” Rael uttered with a shrug, “Only thing people wanna do is hide in the city.”

Maybe it was a bit too blunt, but Rael could see the forest for the trees. She was certainly smarter than someone rushing into a dungeon by themselves, though deep inside Rael knew Alja was posturing; making up for the guilt she felt.

But her group wasn’t the only ones afraid of going into a dungeon again. The group that had gone probably hadn’t done a dungeon since the glitch happened and was getting jumpy. Had they gone with them who knows how they would’ve reacted? They could’ve been worse off than when they went into Arkaanus’ frozen tomb. Enos was one of the best healers in the game. Aaginim one of the best tanks. They still died. What if the other groups incompetence put them in Luci’s shoes? Would the group that went to save all of the villages from the evil dungeon even come back in one piece? or at all? Who was to say they were going to be successful?

The red-haired Japanese girl shrugged off the thought.

“Personally, I don’t think that’s going to work. If we don't go out and do a bunch of crap the world is going to find a way to kill us, one way or another.”

As for the sewers, it became evident. Three ways forward. Left, straight ahead, or right.

Small rats were mostly coming from the left and straight and narrow. She figured she’d put it up to a vote before a shrill high-pitched scream filled the depths of the sewers from the left pathway. A human scream.
Actually I'd be really into a Disgaea RP.

Would the grinding be as dreadful as the game's?

The Plymouth Lane was a long way from home.

She had arrived in the early morning, assigned to a new commanding officer far from Ypern and the constant fighting from Deventer to Tereschelling. There was an unease in her bones as she thought about it. If she was so successful and vital to the war effort why was she reassigned? She was a daughter of Ypern and her fight was in Ypern. It didn’t make sense to be reassigned. How many brothers and sisters of her people had she buried after fighting trench to abhorrent trench? She belonged pushing the despicable imperials out of their holes and putting them up on pikes. Yet she was here waiting for orders.

She had her back pressed against a nearby barrier in one of the observation posts, lamenting her thoughts as people began chattering.

They spoke of some kind of technical wizardry. One of them, Elliot, caught her eye for a moment as she kept herself at the ready and on post. Her shift was hours from being over, though she supposed she should have gotten rest when she arrived but her own stubbornness refused to do so. Not like she could’ve gotten rest, anyway. Sleeping after the last burial had been difficult and that was before the inevitable reassignment far from her countrymen. She chose not to respond to the group, not even a greeting. For the time being she just looked at them with a weary smile before keeping her attention focused on anything suspicious. Her husband had been good with the sort of things these men were. Mechanics of things and how things worked. Lubna by all comparison was an idiot. The only thing she was good at was shooting and staying alive.

The air smelled raw. It would not stay peaceful for long. She could feel it in her bones.

Took me a little longer than I thought, but I think this new opening is a bit more tangible. Hopefully it is not dumb.
