@Peridot Day 6, turning over to Day 7 soon

Nancy Parker

Location: Ville au Camp: Main House (Room 202)
Skills: None

Nancy raised an eyebrow at Giouse. He was attempting to argue efficiency with her? She was the Emendator who had once made a decision because it would be less efficient than the other choice. She enjoyed the spontaneity that a lack of efficiency could sometimes bring. She didn't want to just stop and smell the roses - she wanted to run through them and see where her whimsy led her. She then pondered his set up. She had been imagining that Giouse would just bring the Paradoxes out into town - but this was better, she had to admit.

"That's brilliant, Gio," Nancy said with a wide grin. "Costume won't need too many modifications as well - neither will the script. Little chance Alicia or one of the others could ruin it. Let's do that, then - I'll stay out of sight while you go convince Eve and Gilbert that the Paradoxes should go on an outing."

Drem would have loved this. She tried to shake the unwanted thought from her mind. She had been dying for a chance to leave the loop anyways. When a mission had been created to bring back the strayed Paradox, Nancy had been a bit jealous that she hadn't gotten to go as well. She had lived in that area for quite some time and she was confident she'd have little issues blending in. Sure, she did seem to be a bit on the young side - but with a little help from the Hat, she was usually able to pull off clothing that'd make her seem to be more in the early twenties than the late teens.

"The Wild West dialect, in my experience, isn't too different from out in the Black anyways," Nancy observed. "The Chinese makes all the difference between those two. It's entirely feasible that Ashley would have been the ideal Paradox for that mission - just with a bit of a primer on cursing."

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp: Main House (Sitting Room )
Skills: None

Andromeda leaned forward slightly, transfixed as the Hat changed forms. If this ability was called Alter Form, and the Dice's primary ability was called the Dice, she imagined that this had to be the Hat's secondary talent as well. What was the first, then? What ability would grant someone the nickname of the Hat? Or the Cards or the Watch for that matter? She had to bite down on her tongue slightly to remind herself not to ask these questions - not yet, at least.

All of the skills Lady Luck spoke about, however, reminded her of deviances - extreme deviances, however. In her world, deviances were subtle powers, though there were some cases where they were more powerful than normal. She arched an eyebrow at Lady Luck's listing of the Paradoxes and their capabilities. While those powers astonished her, it raised another question. Where were these other Paradoxes? She had only seen Alicia and the other new Paradoxes. Yet she couldn't resist the urge to speculate as to what her own skills could be. Andromeda looked down at her hands, as if there would be an answer there somehow.

She looked up once more as Evelina mentioned a recess and she couldn't help but feel disappointed. She wanted to learn as much as she could as quickly as possible - it was in her nature to do so. But at least the break wouldn't be long - they'd be told more shortly. Her eyes then flickered over towards the Hat, awaiting instructions on where they were headed next.

Scott Rydzynski

Location: Outside Jade's Place - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Isley @Ellion

Scott chuckled, shaking his head. The girl had spunk - he liked that. He hadn't considered that she'd imagine he was the one responsible for the nightmares he had glimpsed. He didn't set up the girl's murder in Philadelphia - hell, he was a merc but he wasn't a murderer. He got paid for everyone that went down in his type of work. He held back in a laugh as she held a phone comically to her ear. He half expected it to be the wrong way around and visibly show that no one was on the other end of the line. "Sweetheart, listen, I want a lot of things. A good steak, a nice beer, maybe a feisty redhead at the end of the day...But this isn't about that."

He glanced back, noticing the arrival of another man who called her Reddy. He raised a bit of an eyebrow, giving her a clear really? look. "I don't get a choice in this. I didn't want to watch her die - I've watched people die before, took a few of them out myself, not the type to take pleasure in that. I'm messed up, but not that kind of messed up." His mind flickered back to his daughter briefly. He wondered if she was watching the news as well, seeing the deaths and the murders. He always found it cliché when mercs said they wouldn't want their kids to see that kind of stuff - even if he didn't know his daughter, he knew that she was Rydzynski stock. Maybe he'd send her a letter - see how she was holding up, what sort of person she was.

"Wait...You saw the murder last night too? Like, not on the news, but you saw it saw it?" Scott asked, color draining from his face slightly. Was she just like him? "I can move things with my mind - can you do anything like that?"
@Nallore@Peridot: Your current counters are being adjusted. I'm marking you both down as on day 4 of a standard counter.
@Peridot I'm thinking that Damon was acknowledging Pietro, from what I can tell - and yeah, not replying directly to Nina.
@RoccanIronclad Day 6 - you've been plenty active on the forum so I know that you're getting these. Please get a post in before day 8 or you'll be removed from the RP.

December 28th, 2016 - 9:15 P.M. EST - 0 Days Since Hel Returned

Main Tent - Cirque Anomaly, Coventry, Massachussetts...

Nothing of note is happening to Seraphina - which is arguably a good thing. She can hear all of the conversations on angel radio and she'll manage to use her powers to track down the others. They're back at the Coventry Horrors Hotel, not too far from Cirque Anomaly.

Lobby - Coventry Horrors Hotel, Coventry, Massachussetts...

Folly shook her head. It was unlikely that she'd know someone whom Lilith or Thalia did not. They all were members of Cirque Anomaly - or at least, they once were. After all of this bloodshed and death, she wasn't sure if there'd be a circus to return to once the dust settled. Fairfax was similarly clueless. Everyone he knew, present company excluded, was from 1929. The odds that he would know someone of interest in 2016 were slim, to say the least.

"We could ask a demon," Folly pointed out. "If Fergus is so significant that the spirits know his name...Perhaps the demons will as well." Their last encounter with a demon hadn't gone too well.

"Yes, yes! But Amiyra, what about those O.M.E.N. chaps? I'm sure they'd have a record on this Fergus fellow," Fairfax said earnestly. He didn't know all too much about O.M.E.N. and he was unaware of the deaths they had caused. He didn't know that Hanson had been gunned down by O.M.E.N., that O.M.E.N. had killed Seraphina, and the other crimes.

St. Septima's Veterinary Hospital - Clearwater, Florida...

The sigil works perfectly. The angels are scattered away to various corners of the world, giving Jessica the time she needs to escape and relocate. However, she still needs to get out of Clearwater quickly. The angels know her last known location - it won't be too hard for them to think through where she would have run off to. Now, she does have Sayuki Chikashi's business card on her. Perhaps she could give him a call and find a place to lay low. He's an O.M.E.N. mole, a lawyer who leaks information about O.M.E.N. raids in order to allow the good hearted necromantics a chance to escape.

As for angel radio, Jessica can hear the following:

Azrael's daughter. She has the cloak. We must destroy it before Hel can obtain it, brothers and sisters...

On Route to John F. Kennedy Memorial Airport - Ashland, Wisconsin...

The trip to the airport is a relatively brief one. The airport itself is only two miles outside of the business center - and given the urgency of the situation, Alec is entirely within his rights to floor it. Once at the airport, three people in suits come forward from the drizzle. Their badges identify them for what they are - O.M.E.N. agents. "Agent Fletcher, we're ready for you now," the leader, a dark skinned man, explained. "You'll be in a video conference while on route to D.C., where you can join the others in person."

Another agent stepped forward, holding her hand out for Alec's keys and belongings. "I'll take care of this, Agent Fletcher. This is an Altsoba Level Event - we need you to debrief us on what happened to Agent Murphy as soon as possible." The third agent then motioned for Alec to follow him, before heading over to a private government jet. The door was open and the stairs were down, in order to allow for quick and easy access to board.

Fergus

Location: O.M.E.N. Secure Prisoner Facility - O.M.E.N Headquarters - Washington D.C.
Interacting With: Rita Evans @Witch Cat (also @FantasyChic)

Upstairs, Cornish turned and spotted Brownyn with a bit of a frown. Who was she? She hadn't been included in any of the debriefing packets. He pulled Irwin aside and although their conversation was inaudible to the others, the tension was palatable. Cornish wasn't at all pleased that an outside had been brought in during this desperate time. "She has no business being here!" Cornish protested.

Irwin shook his head. "We've already started to call in candidates for Project S.P.I.T.F.I.R.E.," Irwin argued. "We need all of the help we can get."

"Yes, all of the properly vetted help," Cornish protested, rubbing his face. He then turned and looked at Brownyn directly. "So - tell me, what do you know about the Norse Goddess of Death? Hmm?"

Meanwhile, downstairs, Fergus was chuckling to himself. "If you're a witch then you aren't normal, dollface," he pointed out. "So what - O.M.E.N. has you thinking that you're one of the good guys? That you'll be spared? Because face it, sweetheart, they'll come for you one day...They'll come for us all and who's going to stop them? A little normal?" He stood up from his spot on the ground, pouring himself another glass of scotch.

The doorknob would burn Rita's hand. "That's iron, love," Fergus reminded her. "Didn't they send you with...with a key or something?" he snorted. "Look, what's got them so scared anyways? With Lucy dead, they have nothing to worry about."

Robin Ramírez

Location: Room 307 - Hunter Hotel, Omaha, Nebraska
Interacting With: Aloise Zamora, Mariana Garcia @Nallore

Aloise shook her head. "There's no contracts involved - no deals - nothing. The Aesir - she's better than that. She's not one of those bastards who think it's fun to rip families apart, to kill and rape and maim, to pilfer their black guts out...," she paused for a moment. She understood that it was hard to comprehend - that not all necromantics were bad. There were plenty of hunters out there who believed anything abnormal should be put down - yet she had hoped that these cousins would be different.

"The souls in hell - they'll be released," Aloise said. She then gave Mariana a bit of an odd look when she mentioned the souls in heaven. "As for heaven...No one goes to heaven. Every resurrection case indicates the opposite. We all burn in hell - but now, now we can change that. We can change the tide, change the way the world operates...Change life and death."

"You didn't answer her question - who is the Aesir?" Robin asked. Aloise's information seemed too good to be true. She felt uncomfortable, as she just waited for the other shoe to drop. Nothing in the world came without a price. It was true even for hunting. With each witch, each demon, each ghost they put down, two more seemed to pop up to take their place. They would never be done with their work - they'd never finish hunting.

"Hel, the Norse Goddess of Death," Aloise replied firmly. "She's been imprisoned in hell since the dawn of Christianity. She tried to save humanity...but she failed. Yet this time...this time we have a real chance at succeeding. Aren't you tired of seeing more and more people - more and more good people dying? We could stop that - for good. Get our happy ending. One where everyone lives."
@mnkee@BlueSky44@Nallore@FantasyChic:

The OOC has now been updated to show the current status of characters. This reflects the resurrection performed by Millicent/Hecate. However, the status of Margot and Alisanne Riviere are unknown. So they are left as being noted as alive for now until seen in the IC. Any questions, just ask.
