October Crypt

Location: the Alucard Institute @Nallore

"Potentially," October mused. Since Carolina had gone over to his desk, she went over to the filing cabinet in the corner. There were five drawers and she opened them all up, quickly skimming through. For the most part, the drawers seemed to just contain records on the students and she used her powers to set them ablaze, shutting the metal cabinet drawers in an attempt to keep the smoke from going all over the place. S.H.I.E.L.D. hadn't specified that as part of the mission, but October didn't care. Registration of people with powers never ended well, in her opinion.

The last drawer she looked through in the filing cabinet, however, contained something she hadn't quite expected: a deed to a cemetery plot. It was incredibly ancient and October glanced at it for a moment, her mind turning. "Carolina...Emmanuel George Whitney, born in 1610...." October mused. Her family had extensive burial records, but it struck her as curious that this was the only one in the file. Her mind continued to mull it all over until she came up with an answer. "Faust is a demon," she concluded. "So all we need to do is smoke him out of his flesh suit, then...And I believe this is the location of his bones, for insurance and or threatening him with."

Jenna Westbrook

Location: the Silver Mine

Jenna deliberated for a moment, looking at her cousin."...I've never been straight before, no reason to start now," she said, before she took the diverging path. She used her phone as a flashlight in order to see in the darkness of the cave, not afraid of her surroundings. Her thoughts went to Declan and Finley for a moment. She doubted either of them would miss her when she left Red Lake. No forwarding address - she'd just be out of their lives.

And maybe, Finley would finally hook up with Declan and do them all a favor. "And if someone wants to wait for Robert, go ahead," Jenna said, not patient enough to go and hang back herself. She was certain Riley was in this mine and she didn't want to wait another minute.

Jack Newnan

Location: Headland: E. Main Street D8 (inside Hordebuster)
Skills: Athletics

Jack reached out to Riley, giving her a hand and getting her inside the Hordebuster. He was a bit wary with the nun on a personal level, but she was also a potential source of information about his wife and beggars couldn't be choosers. Sister Genevieve - it was a bit of a mouthful, but also struck him as a good name for a nun. Beyond the obvious choices of Mary, Ruth, Rachel, and Judith. He was about to say something to the nun, closing the door since Amelia had gotten in as well, when he heard an ominous sound.

(Not to be confused with the ominous sounds outside, of course...)

"Did yah baby just die on us?" Jack shouted forward to Ash. Part of him blamed the nun for this. They'd stopped to help her and now, the Buster seemed to be in bad shape. The very thing that was keeping them alive and helping to close the distance between Tatiana and him....He clenched his hand slightly. It wasn't rational to blame the Sister, but he did silently anyways. At least they were safe from the elements inside of Buster at the moment...And hopefully whatever happened could be fixed. They'd made repairs before. He was just crossing his fingers that this would be another situation they could remedy.

...Might be a bit longah, Solovey...Stay safe...

Beatrice Decker

Location: Quincy: Inside House (D13)
Skills: Stamina, Climbing

Beatrice stared at Thalia, a bit in shock and surprised with what had started to happen. The last person she had had any sort of encounter with had been Richard back in Newnan - and that was just one night, purely physical. How had Thalia figured out that she liked her? It was running through her head, but now wasn't the time to ask that. Her friend was dying. Hopefully Manny could save her, but...She then blinked rapidly, as Thalia's words changed drastically, bringing up the O Wars again and Beatrice rolled her eyes. "Eres una perra de cebo queer enferma1," Beatrice whispered to Thalia. She gave her hand a squeeze.

She glanced up at Manny, raising an eyebrow. Manny seemed to almost be going into hysterics, but Navy ran into the room a second later and gave her an order. It also seemed to be a more rational one. And then, as if she had been a dominatrix before all of this happened and the process-server story was just a cover, Beatrice easily straddled Thalia and had her pinned down, essentially making Thalia into her bitch. "Ahora, si te hubiera estado mirando, estarías demasiado adolorido para caminar, demasiado distraído para dormir, y estarías rogando por probar mis O ahora mismo2," Beatrice whispered to Thalia.

"Escucha a Navy, ¿de acuerdo, cariño?3"

Virginia Crypt

Location: Carlisle
Skills: N/A

Virginia was in deep thought for a moment, as they ascertained their whereabouts. As much as she wished to marvel at what had occurred, Mary seemed to be confused and Virginia's mind offered up a few possibilities. The realm of the impossible became more and more real as time passed on, and she took in a breath of air, still musing at what had just occurred. "There are several explanations," Virginia began. "The first is that it is an illusion - that we have gone mad and shared in some hallucination - yet I feel as if we have moved unnaturally quick," she said, pausing as she considered the sick feeling in her stomach. "Another possibility is that some unknown Soulless or Trained person has caused this effect. And of course, that as you suggested, a deity has decided to take a stake in these circumstances."

The poor horse lost its last meal and Virginia felt a twinge of pity for it. "The town does seem to be on alert - I suppose news of Almack's must have spread here," she told Mary in a hushed tone. She did not know much about horse care herself, and as of such, did not know if they should dismount or if they could press onwards. Yet they were closer to Millicent, that much Virginia was in certain - or at least, closer to where she may be or may have been.

Maeve Brennan

Location: Kirkpatrick House: Tea Room ---> the Carriage
Skills: N/A

Once Lady Kirkpatrick indicated her approval for consuming the scone, Maeve ate it as delicately as could be whilst Lady Kirkpatrick looked over what Calum had given her. She didn't want it to go to waste and she was glad to have consumed it quickly, since it was time to be on the move. As Lady Kirkpatrick met her eyes, a bit of nervousness came but she didn't let it show. She had a bit of difficulty reading the father, but he wouldn't have sold her out. It didn't make logical sense for him to go through all of this effort, just to expose her.

Nodding, Maeve rose to her feet and followed Lady Kirkpatrick out. She registered the nephew having a bit of a fit, remembering his instructions to her pertaining his aunt, as she went outside and shook her head slightly as Calum offered to help her inside. She didn't want to make physical contact with him and she wasn't a wilting flower that needed to be helped into a carriage. Once seated, she turned and gave Lady Kirkpatrick her undivided attention, allowing her to speak first since Maeve worked for her now.

Alright folks, since the death of Queen Meliscente has been solved IC, we are now in arc one wrap up! In order to do this efficiently, please complete the items on the check-list below:

  • In Character: Wrap up any interactions/scenes you are in.
  • Skills: All characters who were active for a decent portion of this arc have received 1-2 skills: two for those who were essentially here from start to end, one for those who joined at the start of our current day, and none for those who joined at the tail end. Please edit these skills into your CS within the next 48 hours or they will be considered lost.
  • Ages: Some of your characters will have had birthdays. We are jumping from December 21st/22nd, 12507 to May 4th, 12508. If you've had a birthday in that time range, please adjust your character's age accordingly.
  • Personality/Appearance/Other: If you want to edit any portion of your character's sheet, please tag me to let me know so I can approve it - this is a good time to update these!
  • Relations: Grab the relation sheet code in the OOC and update it! You MUST do relations for every character you have met. Either get together to discuss these or just go with your gut and put down what makes sense.
  • Between Arc Collabs: I am estimating we will have 1-2 updates of wrap up, so you have about 2 weeks before arc 2 goes into full swing. So I suggest starting these now if you wish to do them.
  • Between Arc Notes: Don't forget to look over the note sheets I sent you all!
  • Sickenesse: I will be PMing those afflicted next arc and telling them when they fell ill, that way between arc collabs can be accurate if the time overlaps.

Guin Stark

Location: Stark Tower: Sidewalk, About to Climb the Magic Beanstalk

Guin nodded, about to grab her phone when she remembered she had the smashed versions of PHIL. The one from the future had played a video message, so she was guessing that it'd work enough to function as a speaker phone of sorts. She didn't feel like running with a cellphone in her hand. Putting the slightly broken watch on her wrist, she crossed her fingers and prayed to Alexander Graham Bell, before she double tapped her watch - it was a short command to call her emergency contact, Tony. "Dad? Please pick up, damn it..." she muttered.

When they got to Stark Tower, Guin stared as Mary went into the store, but she was mostly hoping her father would answer so they could get an idea of the status quo inside. Muscles hadn't suddenly vanished from existence, which was a relief. "Guin? Now is not the time to be calling me!" he responded, the sounds of the fight at the top of the tower could be heard.

She bit her lip. "Dad, what's the sitch? Are you okay?" She then stepped onto one of the vines Mary had made, really hoping that Tony would say that everything was fine and they were just playing a very violent video game - with breathtaking realistic sentinel holograms.

"Yeah, fine, never better."

"Dad, we need details. How many hostiles? What condition? And is anyone injured or..." dead.

"Uh, well... No one is dead... Some are injured... Uh, 6 or 7 Sentinels left up here..."

"....Anyone critically injured?" Please don't be Pietro, please don't be Pietro...

"Uh... Well the one girl who can shriek really loudly hit her head pretty hard from a Sentinel shot... Not to mention that the weapon that we had been making blew up in her hands so... I think a lot of people have basically cleared out of this room..."

"Alright, I'll be there in a second, Dad." Tony acknowledged that, before Guin terminated the call and turned to face the others. Future Pietro's condition was freaking her out and she felt like she was about to have an anxiety attack - or maybe she had been having one this entire time. She took a deep breath, her hands shaking slightly. It seemed like so far, they hadn't made the future better - they had just made it come sooner....

Folly Valeska

Location: Stark Tower: Sidewalk --> Up the Magic Beanstalk! --> Roof

Folly looked skywards, her lips curling with distaste as she saw the Sentinels. She hopped onto one of Mary's vines, a bit impatient for it to start going upwards. She was an acrobat, she had no fear of heights and she enjoyed moving quickly through the air. She sighed slightly, though she did appreciate that Mary was at least taking in some feedback and changing her fighting style slightly. "Mary, would you mind shooting me up? I could use a bit of a spring," Folly mused, twirling her knives.

Forged out of adamantium, they could cut through practically anything. She doubted these Sentinel models would be well guarded against them, but it was the joints she was interested in. Yet of course, she recalled the way Mary had taken down some when they first arrived back into the past.

"Why do you want to do that. I can't guarantee that you'll for one, make it up there, and two even if you do, you might overshoot it and fall down the otherside of the building."

Folly stared at her. "...I meant just propel me up with the vines quickly. And if I fell, it'd be no issue. I'd heal, remember?"

"True but you do realize you could still fall? And it might take a while for you to heal, but alright, whatever, I hope you don't fall though," she said, before she had smaller vines wrap around Folly to hold her in place, before she sent her sky rocketing up to the top of the tower. The vines got a bit unstable the higher she went and the farther away from Mary she got. The vines let her down at the top, right behind a few sentinels. The vines as soon as she was off shot back down, and Mary actually looked somewhat tired from that, she wasn't used to controlling plant life from that far away.

"Pa, târfă!" Folly shouted with delight, springing off of one sentinel and onto another. She landed on the back of it and stabbed her daggers in at the exposed portion of its neck from the hinge, the sentinel sparking and collapsing to the ground, damaged. Nothing cut quite like adamantium. "Heeeeere's Folly!" she then said with a laugh, looking at the remaining six robots.

Dean Kesseli

Location: In a (White) Van (With Candy) ---> Area 51, Probably

Dean stared at Allison for a moment. She had gotten caught before she could tell Jakobsen anything? He couldn't fathom what Allison would want to tell Jakobsen - he thought she wasn't a fan of that plan anyways - so it made just about zero sense. It made as much sense as algebra would to a toddler. "You know, I'd feel a lot more appreciated for my bravery if you could tell me what was so important," Dean muttered. He wasn't even going to respond to Charlie's assertion that the only people you could hate apparently were dictators. There was just a lot to unpack there and he had more important things to focus on.

Once he felt the truck stop, Dean couldn't help but be apprehensive. He half expected sacks to be thrown over their heads before they were lead into the facility, ending their journey within glass cells. It reminded him of the movie Race to Witch Mountain with the Rock and the alien kids in it. He looked around, trying to get their bearings and find a way to escape, only to spot a similar silver wing across the hallway. "Thalia? What are you doing here?" Dean blurted. He was incredibly confused. First Allison wanted to talk to Jakobsen, and now, Thalia apparently had decided the best place to be injured and wounded was....Area 51?

"Huh? Who are you?" she asked, sitting up and coming over to the edge of her cell. Her wings looked a lot worse when you saw both of them together. The one wing had the hole in it, but they were both battered and burned, not to mention there was blood coming from her shoulders at the base of the wings.

"We're...the X-Men...I think..."

"How'd you know my name?"

"Uh, you told us..." Dean said, making a face at those in his cell and the girls in the cell next door. Had Thalia hit her head or something? He was so hopelessly confused...

Damon Fawkes

Location: Stark Tower (Floor 93): Main Area
Tattoos: 1 Dragon, 1 Wolf

Damon took in a deep breath. He could feel each of his tattoos as they went into action, each of them a living being that seemed connected to his own soul. At times, he wondered who was truly the parasite - the tattoos or himself? While he remained closed off and guarded, they were vibrant and filled with life. Were they not the ones worthy of love and passion? His thoughts flickered to Ayita for a moment, before he shook his head. He had had his chance and he ruined it.

There wasn't any point on dwelling on that. "Damn it...damn it..." he muttered under his breath, looking around wildly as the dragon flew around the room, shrieking. "Guys, Dean isn't back yet..." he called out, spotting Mira. And where the hell had Ayita and her friends gone off to? He didn't need to really watch the dragon as it struggled against the Sentinels, eventually managing to land a solid hit on one and it started sparking.

"Go find more people," Damon told the wolf, running over to Mira. He felt like he was becoming the Battle Nurse (TM) all over again. And while the wolf could tell some people had recently left the area, it wasn't able to immediately figure out where they had gone. At least the dragon seemed happy for the moment.

Okay, time to gush about the cast of Darke Magyk!
@Nallore@BlueSky44@FantasyChic@mnkee@LadyRunic@Dragoknighte@KazAlkemi

I had no idea if this RP would work or if it'd be a flop. Before Darke Magyk, my only successful RPs had been horror RPs and they certainly did not still have seven RPers in them by the time they hit the 200s in posts! Plus, building an entirely new world and hoping that it makes sense? I am so chuffed to see how well it's turned out, especially as each and all of you helps to flesh out and contribute to that world. Hell, we've got people making flags and making traditional songs for different countries!

I am so excited to see this first book drawing to a close, knowing that the next book will only be even better, since it's improved upon what doesn't work and kept the best parts about this RP. You are all simply Magykal!

Ellie Theriot

Location: Xavier's Home

"Ya sure we aren't about to create a plan for Mandy to take Erik's shirt off?" Ellie teased, smirking. She could have sworn that Miranda looked disappointed when she didn't have to remove Erik's shirt to get to the bullet wound. She was a bit surprised that she hadn't done it unnecessarily. Of course, she was shocked to see that everyone else seemed to still be here, largely. She could've sworn that Charles would've bored them to death by this point. "Did we miss anything excitin', mes amis?" Ellie then asked.

However, it seemed everyone just wanted to know about her adventure with Erik. "Eh, if we were followed, they're dead now," Ellie said simply, her hands twitching slightly as she wanted a smoke. "And we're mutants, we can kill anyone who threatens us, ma cherie," she said to Myth, giving the girl a wink. She was drunk on her own power after that chase. Thoughts of mutants being superior to humans were dancing in her head. They were the ones destined to rule the Earth - and the humans? To serve them. What else could their purpose be?

@BlueSky44@Kirah@Nallore@FantasyChic@Peridot
The Bus - Somewhere Over the Atlantic Ocean: August 30th, 2020 - 12:30 P.M.

@BlueSky44: Raynor gave her another smile, kissing her hair. He didn't like it that she was going on this mission since, in his opinion, she was far safer in a laboratory than out of the front lines. Fury saw potential in her to be a leader, to one day be a peer of Abercrombie and others when it came to mission strategy, and Raynor saw it as well - which worried him. Leaders were the type to make suicide plays, to sacrifice themselves for others. "So, we should probably go see the others..." Raynor recommended softly to her.

Dominika Novikova

Location: the Lounge (Level Two)
Skills: Dimensional Energy Perception (Passive)

Novikova smiled slightly, feeling Maria run a hand through her hair. She supposed that they couldn't exactly be friends with benefits anymore, not with Maria's new abilities. Or maybe after enough time, she'd be able to control it enough to the extent that it would be possible. It was one hell of a stress reliever, that was for certain. Of course, Novikova always wondered if there'd ever be a day where one of them would catch feelings for the other.

"I feel like that's a mild personal space violation," Novikova commented to Maria softly, a hint of a smirk on her lips from the sarcastic comment. She was referring to the breaking into his room suggestion. Yet when Tempest started nonchalantly talking about hacking and just chilling while she did it, Novikova couldn't help but find herself becoming more and more interested in the agent. "SHIELD's security does seem to be awful lately...Since apparently Quicksilver managed to beat up the Director..."

Of course, there was a chance that wasn't really Fury and it was an LMD, the entire reason he would have then let the speedster beat him up. Novikova wasn't certain. She honestly found LMD's creepy. At what point did the person just stop...living? And let robots do everything for them? Griff and Nikolai hadn't shown up yet, both of them currently busy down in the cargo hold, using it as a makeshift training room. "Looks like it's everyone here but leadership...And Raynor and Sparky..."

Director Fury

Location: C.O.'s Office (Level Three)

"Exchange insurance information and get an accident report," Agent Kennedy joked, grinning at Cassandra. There was just something about hearing the Brit describe finding the hostile as bumping into them that just amused him, reminding him of the phrasing used for minor car accidents - the type a kid just learning how to drive would get and have a meltdown over. Fury gave him a disapproving look, before he snorted slightly.

"In the event that you encounter Von Bardas, knock her out and have SciTech use a memory loss serum on her. There should be some stocked in the laboratory of the Bus," Fury answered. "Bag and tag the gear. Tony Stark broke his agreement about eight years ago, so we need to take what we can get," he replied, being purposefully cryptic as to what that agreement entailed. The bill would come due, eventually. He then nodded at Tinley and briefing packets would pop up on her phone a few seconds later, detailing the background, training, experience, and abilities of the new recruits.

"Agent Raynor Blake, Operations. He's got light manipulation and what he calls Charm - which as far as I can tell, means he's the best damn liar there is. Tempest Renroir, Communications. A badass healer who could take down almost the entire civilized world with a few strokes of a keyboard. I recommend not pissing her off if you have electronic bank accounts. And Nikolai Vasyutin...Be careful with this one, we left a kill switch in him, Soviets did a number on his head. He's got pyro flight and can turn himself into fucking fire."

"So, you know, totally normal and stable people," Jim muttered.

Fury sighed. "One of these days, I'm going to find the off switch on your mouth, Kennedy. Anyways...Now that the briefing is covered, Agent Abercrombie, you should be aware that Agents Blake and Sparks have entered into a relationship. I caught them fucking in the seat you're in right now. Nasty. As field commander, I'm leaving the punishment up to you - just don't kill them, that's a lot of paperwork..."

The screen then went dark before displaying the SHIELD logo, as Fury ended the call.
