Virginia could not help but beam slightly at his explanation of what type of wood he would craft a replacement limb from. It was so much more worthwhile conversation than anything she had really experienced in London. Too many were concerned with gowns and social standing - but if you asked them what wood they wanted for a limb or for a casket, their answers fell short! While she already knew that she missed her parents dearly, Virginia did not realize how much she yearned for proper conversation.
His commentary on her name was interesting as well, as she pondered his phrases. She was named for the Virgin Queen of England, Elizabeth the First. She would have preferred that her parents name her after some sort of despicable murderer or suspected traitor of the Church, but the Virgin Queen, daughter of Henry the Eighth, was as good a choice as any. The connection with the ex-Colony could not be overlooked either, something that made her fond of the Americas before she even began her training there. "Ny, it's a pleasure," Virginia said, continuing to walk with him.
His words had moved her. She would complete this task, to aid her friend, and then she would embark on the journey she had always dreamed of. She would finally get to dabble with the Dark Forces, as every little Crypt girl and boy dreamed of doing. "Tell me more of this Parthenos? I'm quite curious," Virginia said, looking at Ny.
Maeve Brennan
Location: Annan Carriages Passing Skills: N/A
Maeve couldn't help but notice something slightly out of place. She recalled Lady Kirkpatrick's warning earlier, when she had first come into her employment. When observing a servant girl at an inn, Lady Kirkpatrick had commented that you first had to get things for yourself, then you could worry about helping family. Was that not the opposite of what Millicent was doing now? Perhaps Maeve's memory was faulty but either way, she didn't let the moment of confusion show on her face. She would have to contemplate this later.
"'ow many souls do yer 'av ter sell? I 'ope more than one," Maeve commented, looking at Millicent. She felt a bit of sympathy for her - being engaged to either man on the roof was hardly a pleasant fate. However, she couldn't help but feel it was short sighted. Whatever dark path she was sparing her family from, would marrying the man on the roof really be a solution? Or was it just a temporary fix? Maeve hoped for Millicent's sake, it really was a permanent solution. Otherwise, her sale of her soul may just be for nothing.
Location: Ville au Camp - Carnival Set Up Skills: N/A
Andromeda couldn't help but curious as Ruthie was talking to herself. She had to assume that whoever was in the trailer had some sort of power of invisibility - either that or they were able to select who could hear their voice? Her mind was buzzing with a thousand questions and she forced herself to not bombard Ruthie with all of them. It wasn't her place to ask, as much as she was filled with a burning desire to ask how the carnival had been founded, how many of them had powers, how many people with powers they had met before, how they knew Evelina, how they liked working in a carnival, if Management was new or had been there for a while, if they had ever been in a time loop before...
She had to take a slight breath. As much as she respected Gilbert and wanted to make him proud and do a good job... She couldn't help but be thrown off slightly by his approach. Maybe it was some sort of strategy that she just didn't understand? He was the Emendator and she was the Paradox... but he didn't even seem to care that Eve might have gone off to look for Drem and that these people somehow knew about that. Peter's grave was concerning as well, there was so much they knew and... She just didn't feel like the Emendator was asking the right questions.
Maybe it was arrogant of her to think that, but she couldn't quite shake that off. "It was nice to meet you, Ruthie - and the others there as well, I hope you all have a good rest of your day," Andromeda said, glancing at Ruthie and then the trailer. Her gut was telling her to go back and check out the grave... That or maybe Evelina's room. Gilbert had told her to watch and listen - so she'd do just that.
Gene winced slightly, seeing Lady Munn nearly get killed by a lifeboat. There was some irony there that she had to chuckle at slightly. Death by lifeboat? It was genius. "That is going to leave a mark," she then mused quietly. It was a bit pathetic in the same vein. She hadn't known Vera very long and this was going to leave a lasting impression of the woman. Perhaps George's attraction to her was out of some sort of desire to protect a frail and clumsy creature? Gene mulled it over for a moment. Not very many of the women her brother usually interacted with needed or encouraged protection - so there was something there, she felt.
And then she heard George call out, confirming Vera's safety. It was all falling nicely into place and then Gene glanced over at the Lord Major. She could torment him some more, poking fun at his British ego - but that wasn't really what she felt like doing. "Come on, old man, let's go and see Vera yah?" Gene said. Could she have said Lady Munn? Yes. But Lady Munn, to her, sounded like an old woman who drank tea and fraternized with mummies. And from what Gene could tell, maybe only one of those things was true about Vera so far.
Nora Kingston
Location: The Ferry - Sun Deck -> Elite Deck - Lauren's Room Skills: N/A
Nora nodded, hurrying after Lauren. Vera was going to be positively soaked. Dresses never really mixed well with the water, especially in this day and age. As they changed decks, she was relieved to find that her ticket was still where she had put it on her person. It would have been horrible luck and timing if it went missing during all of this chaos. "Poor Lady Munn..." Nora whispered to her friend, as they reentered Lauren's rooms.
Luckily, it didn't seem to have changed since she and Lauren had been inside shortly ago. From what Nora recalled, Vera and Lauren had roughly the same proportions with a few variations. "She left some clothing here, yes?" Nora then said. She wasn't too certain which pieces of clothing were Lauren's and which were Lady Munn's, but she trusted that her friend would know. She just hoped Vera would get back onto the ferry alright. Disaster and clumsy misadventures seemed to be following Lady Munn and it reminded Nora briefly of the details Neema had told her. Defending this Bastet was going to be a challenge...
Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 7:45 PM
@KazAlkemi@Nallore@LadyRunic: As could be predicted, the crowd did not take kindly to Arnora ordering them around. They changed their targets, throwing rocks at her. Luck was not on their side, as Arnora would manage to easily freeze them, their torsos and legs encased in ice. "It's Halley!" one of them from the Land of Long Nights cursed. Some of them looked at Ahote, taking in his words and if they could have walked off to disperse, they would have.
Ahote would be able to notice the subtle shift in auras. His words had compelled them - a few, but it was enough that the crowd's tension was gone. The young wizard with the M looked up at Arnora in wonder. "...Are you a seraphim?" he asked her. The poor thing was dazed, seemingly having a concussion as well as his other injuries. However, he didn't have much time for Grimspound paused the rocks telekinetically and redirected them, turning into a dragon and scooping him up.
The young wizard fainted, as did a fair number of people in the crowd.
"It's a bleemin' dragon!"
@LadyRunic: Chthon apparently decided that he was going to attempt to be helpful. "They think themselves to be gods - but they are nothing more than the children of real gods," he explained. Rhys would have no problem making it to Wizard Tower and the doors were open. A few wizards were welcoming people as they came inside, directing them towards where the wedding itself would be happening. Most were incredibly early still - just close friends and family of the happy couple. However, that didn't mean Rhys couldn't go and grab a seat early himself.
@LadyRunic@mnkee: Becky glanced over and chuckled slightly. "Good evening to you too, Miss Navi," she said, addressing the child. Navi stuck her tongue out at Becky and blew a raspberry. "Your brother is here!" Navi then proudly announced and Becky couldn't help but smile slightly. How Navi knew that Rowland was there was behind her, but she did enjoy any chance to go see her brother. They were rather close.
Navi then returned her attention to Lyra. She looked at Lyra suspiciously. "That's dumb. Amarantha is aaaamazing! She's like a fairy godmother of death!" Navi shrieked. She was so pleased with her own analogy that she started to do a little dance, only it also involved poking Lyra a lot. "So what are you supposed to be? Huh? Huh? Tell me, tell me, tell me! Hey tell meeee!"
Navi then looked at Skaoi and shrugged. "Amarantha said to come here!"
@FantasyChic: Wanda nodded slightly at Fleur. She had her own suspicions about what was poisoning Magyk across time and space. "Forgive me, but I do not think a cure is what we need - I think we might have better luck battling the source," Wanda explained, looking at Fleur. "There's a legend in my time that if you walk the Witch's Road long enough, you will find what you need... If you would care to accompany me, I would appreciate it. Our combined strength should be plenty to defeat whatever this infestation is..."
When: 8:30 PM - arrive by 8:15 PM on May 4th Where: Wizard Tower - Great Hall (First Floor) Who: Bruce Banner and Myth the Muse Ceremony:
Invocation and Dedication to Thor, God of Thunder (goat) - to summon the attention of the gods
Sword Presentation - the groom must present his bride with a recently recovered sword of his ancestors
Second Sword Presentation - the bride then gives the groom a sword that she had carried with her down the aisle. It does not need to be a familial relic (note: the bride must also wear a crown at all times)
Exchange of Finger Rings - the bride and groom recite vows and petition for a blessing from Thor. The rings are placed on the tip of the exchanged swords
Post Ceremony:
Bride Running - all guests will run from the Great Hall to the Auxiliary Hall where the feast has been set up. It has direct access to the courtyard. The group that arrives last has to serve spirits to the other group (i.e. bride's side v groom's side). We
Wedding Sword - when the bride arrives, the groom puts his sword on the threshold. He picks her up and carries her over it, so that way she cannot stumble.
Luck Test - once everyone is in the hall, the groom has to plunge his sword into either a supporting pillar or roof. The luck of the marriage is supposedly correlated to the depth of the scar he makes
Nanna, Goddess of Joy and Peace (Bruce's maternal grandmother)

Arya Rincewind
Location: The Palace - the Library
Arya heard Cuyler's words, but they pained her. He had come to apologize to her, but it felt strange to Arya. She was no master of psychology by any means but... it just didn't sit quite right with her. She could not help but note that Klara, the woman from before, was nowhere to be seen. She just hoped the woman had not broken Cuyler's heart.
"Cuyler, may we speak in private later?" Arya asked. It wasn't really a suggestion however - more of her telling him that she didn't want to talk about this right now. She needed time to collect her thoughts, to allow logic to win out over emotion. She couldn't help but feel a bit deflated when Queen Valda left the library. Now there was only Rowland there to act as a buffer. She didn't want to deal with this yet. Of course, she knew that he likely wanted to speak about this now but...
Rowland seemed to understand Arya's hesitation. "We do have quite a lot of reading to do," Rowland agreed with his apprentice.
"Perhaps after the wedding ceremony at Wizard Tower..."
Myrus Silvers
Location: The Palace Boat Launch
Myrus hugged his sister back, his hands shaking slightly as he made contact with the back of her clothing. Klara's water therapy had helped him greatly however, as her cloak was not charged and there was no dangerous explosion. He was able to just be a teenage boy again, hugging his sister. It was so odd to think that just half a year ago, one of their largest problems to deal with was that Mavis Moll had dumped him.
He then laughed slightly. Lyra never did give Mavis that book, did she?
"Y-y-you're not marrying Tristan?" Myrus stammered, his eyes wide. However, Luna's next revelation caused Myrus to bite his lip and he hugged his sister tightly. Guilt washed over him that Luna had been dealing with this and hadn't had anyone to talk to about it. Tristan couldn't have really helped matters out. Dealing with a voice and being pressured to marry?
A message rat then scurried up to the prince and princess, and once having confirmed Luna's identity, it recited: "I wish to speak with her when she feels ready to. This alliance is very important to me and my kingdom. Many innocent people will die without it. I'm willing to make this work, if you are. I give you my word that I will remain loyal to you. Just please hear me out. End message."
Myrus looked at Luna. He hoped that she wouldn't change her mind, but it was up to her. However, he took the bracelet he wore from the Land of Long Nights and he threw it into the water. "Let's find our own path... Together, like when we were kids. Tristan doesn't get to make decisions for us..."
Antonije Magnisky
Location: Wizard Tower - the Great Hall
Marya sulked a bit, looking at Lance. What was the fun in someone who could turn into a scary green monster if they didn't, y'know, turn into a scary green monster? "Lame!" she scolded, before there was a gust of wind and Lance would find himself covered from head to toe in pink sparkly ribbons. They seemed to have been securely fastened to his clothing and Marya smirked, coughing up a bit of blood but in her mind, it was worth it.
Poor Antonije... Whatever Sylvi did to him, the enchantment wasn't wearing off just yet. He looked at her, before he started walking off to where he had seen broom closets earlier. Glancing around, as if challenging anyone to stop him, Antonije set her down inside of the closet and started to barricade it, that way Sylvi couldn't get out and no one else could get in. It was clearly the safest place for her at the moment as far as his mind was concerned..."Stay," Antonije told her gruffly from the other side of the door.
Back with Myth, Runa nodded understandingly. "The Magnisky line is... troubled," she said softly. "Just as they have extreme talents - typically in terms of swiftness or intellectual capacity - they are also marred with madness... I do not say this lightly or in an attempt to distress you, but you would be wise to keep an eye on the Magnisky siblings affairs. Violence comes naturally to them... even if they themselves are not yet aware of it."
Astrid rolled her eyes at her mother. "So negative!" she said, shaking her head. "You know Mum, people said the same thing about you because of You-Know-Who," she pointed out, referring to one of Runa's uncles.
"Why am I the only sane one in my family..." Halley mumbled, shaking her head slightly before she nodded a bit at Myth's question. She gave Myth as best a breakdown as she could, starting with how the officiant would do the invocation to Thor, how she and Bruce would exchange swords, and then exchange rings. After the ceremony, the only thing Myth really needed to know was that Bruce would carry her over the threshold into the feasting hall. The other traditions either were for the groom or for the guests.
"I am never getting married," Astrid said, wrinkling her nose.
Hey guys, we need to do a little housekeeping. I have been letting some little things slide rule wise, and this message is going to be posted to all of my RPs. Please take a moment to go reread the rules, as I have updated them. However, these are some ones that I particularly want to highlight -
Cases: You have 24 hours to respond or acknowledge in discord that it is your turn. If you go over 24 hours three times, you will be removed from the RP.
Editing: NO ONE is allowed to edit a post without GM permission. I will almost always be online and able to say yes. If I catch you doing this from now on, it's removal from the RP.
Copy + Paste: NO ONE is allowed to copy and paste something from someone else's post. I don't care if it's just one line of dialogue, it's against the rules. Doing this will require an edit of your post or it will be considered invalid.
PG-13: This RP can get gory and be filled with language, but no nudity or sex or anything like that. Fade to black if you have to. If you are uncertain if something crosses the line, ask the GM.
Chat: Remember, you need to check the chat at least once every 1-2 days as I put most of the announcements up there.
Please upvote this in the next 24 hours to let me know that you've read this. If you do not, I will remove you from the RP.

@Bee: Hey, letting you know here since you have not been on Discord today. You are up in your team's collab. If you do not post within 24 hours of it being your turn (according to the guild, it has been 9 hours), you will be skipped and I will roll to see what happened to your character (it won't be fun).
"These villagers are from the Earth Kingdom," Jia Li said as they walked. "Most of them hate the Fire Nation - they've probably lost friends and family to that prison," she finished. Of course, there were also ones who would not hesitate to turn them in for the reward money, but she was choosing to have an optimistic approach to all of this. However, her theory was going to be quickly put to the test, as they got closer and closer to the village.
Seeing the old man, Jia Li hesitated for a moment. Was he a member of the resistance? Did he know her teacher? "Takuma... Do you play Pai Sho?" Jia Li asked him, knowing it was a code that had built up use. She nodded at the others, in agreement with their decision to trust the old man for now and she walked forward after him. Her nose still hurt a bit from the events that had happened earlier, but she chose to ignore it for the moment. If she was right - and her gut told her she was - he might be able to help them out... a lot.
