Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Carnival Set Up
Skills: N/A

Gilbert and Giouse's discussion was bothering Andromeda - really bothering her. At first, she assumed it was just her own pride. They were the Emendators and she was the Paradox, she reminded herself. They had more experience in the bizarre and a better success rate at surviving it - especially given last time weird things happened at a circus, she had died. Yet they were continuously being rude to Ruthie and only paying attention to each other. It continued to bother her more and more, until a potential explanation came into Andromeda's mind. No, the Emendators couldn't be sexist, could they?

She tried not to think too much about that thought. It was too easy to see things that weren't there sometimes, but it continued to nag at her as Ruthie accepted the offer of a drink. It was just that they were Emendators and used to knowing everything, right? That had to be all this was. She was reading the situation incorrectly and was getting a bit bothered over something that wasn't there. She didn't think the Cards or the Dice were the sort that would tolerate sexism either and Gilbert and Giouse had to have trained Alicia at some point. Sexist people wouldn't do that, right?

However, the idea still was nagging away at her. "Would you like me to accompany you all?" Andromeda asked, looking at Ruthie and the two Emendators. She didn't want to overstep a boundary and insert herself into this if it wasn't the place for a Paradox.

@BlueSky44@Kirah@Nallore@FantasyChic
The Playground - Location Classified: October 24th, 2020 - 1:30 P.M.

@Kirah@Nallore: Oh microwaves, so much fun! As Cass puts the left overs inside the microwave and begins to heat them up, it seems that the setting was off or something as the food begins to splatter everywhere inside of the microwave. It's going to be a disgusting mess to clean up, especially in a communal space. But hey, it could have been worse!

@FantasyChic: "...I've been eating speed for the past three days and every time I close my eyes I see centipedes..." Casper mumbled to himself. He glanced around, seemingly staring at nothing as he had a bit of a heated conversation with... no one. Huffing a bit, Casper turned back around, looking around in circles. "Look, if you are a god... How about we just go our separate ways? If you want to fight someone, then maybe try my brothers. They love that stuff! I'm Casper, by the way. Casper Xavier Theriot, it's lovely to meet you...It really is."

Tinley is clear to proceed - nothing noteworthy happens and no one will intrude on her.

Dominika Novikova

Location: The Playground - Shooting Range
Skills: N/A
Novikova hesitated, glancing around the room for a moment. She knew that Tempest had surveillance everywhere on base - it was to protect them, but it meant that what Novikova had decided to tell Maria couldn't be shared here. Dominika then looked back at her girlfriend. She gently put a hand on the fabric of Maria's sleeve, the closest thing to contact that the two of them could get. "Yeah, let's go off base for a while," Novikova said.

She then leaned in, her hair blocking her lips from view of the security cameras. "I think I have a way to rescue them - but it stays between us for now, okay?" she whispered softly. She felt that she could trust Maria with this, but she didn't know about the others in the base. Tinley had stopped her from helping Sparky the first time and she wasn't about to give Agent Abercrombie another chance to doom her friend. She had had to go to Sparky's funeral and it was killing her on the inside, knowing that there was a chance she could still be alive.

"I can take you to see it..."

Bonnie Chase

Location: The Playground - Bio-Engineering and Research

"Long enough to know that you'll come in here and eat food again anyways, and then I'll have to scold you for it, and you'll ask me that question again, and we'll be stuck in this endless cycle," Bonnie pointed out to Harry. She rolled her eyes as instead of spitting out the food or getting rid of it, he finished eating. It was the opposite of lab safety and had it not been so recent, she might have pointed out that his robot hand wasn't helping his case that he was safe and responsible. He had had a real hand up until recently, after all.

She then shook her head slightly, letting the Raman do its thing. "No - workload is pretty light at the moment. If you want, you can try to find a material that'll keep Flynn from bursting his shirt into flames. Everything we've tried so far has given him bad chaffing or rashes," she explained. She glanced away from Harry as she talked about Flynn and his shirt problem. It felt weird, liking someone else even though her husband was long dead. She and Flynn weren't even an item - but there were still times where she wondered if James would be mad at her. Would he have wanted her to move on?

"I've been trying to get Fury to give me access to some of the clothing samples we got from Luminous - but no luck there. It's too bad, since whatever material she used probably would work for Flynn..."

Raynor Blake

Location: the Quantum Realm
Skills: N/A
Raynor nodded, giving Sparky a smile. He hadn't registered that he had called her Lana - and it was probably for the best that she hadn't asked, as he wouldn't have told her. She wasn't ready for that information yet. It would bring on too much all at once - to know more about who she was and who her family was... He wanted to give her time to just be Sparky. To be free of life changing and potentially threatening secrets. "How many, Janet?" Raynor asked.

"Just two," the Wasp said. There was a bit of distance between them as the creatures came into view. Imagine giant hairy spiders. And then make them even more terrifying. That was essentially what the trio was looking at. Raynor coughed, blood coming up but he quickly hid it. He pulled his dagger, Lyting, and was so happy he hadn't lost it yet.

"I got the big one," he said, trying not to sound too weak.

"No, I do," the Wasp said, not having any time for his need to be manly as she calmly walked forward, weapon at the ready.

Jia Li

Jia Li couldn't blame Yumiko for not wanting to stick around. It wasn't an ideal situation to be in and not everyone was ready or willing to take a stand against wrongdoing. It would have been all too easy to be annoyed with the water bender, but Jia Li instead just nodded slightly at her. This path was not for everyone - and there were many hardships ahead that they would face. She knew it was likely that they would die or be imprisoned once more, but Jia Li was willing to pay that price. She could not help but wonder if the others were as well.

Jia Li bit her lip as Takuma peeked out the window and announced the presence of Fire Nation soldiers. It was to be expected, but it still caused the blood to start pumping and for her heart to pound with terror. If they were discovered now, they would put this entire village in danger. They would be taken again and Takuma would be imprisoned for helping them. "Yes, I committed treason against my country for the Order," she answered the man.

She took the clothing offered to her, glad to hear that others were willing to help. Heading to one of the spare rooms, Jia Li changed quickly and used her prison garments to wipe off any bits of blood or sweat in an attempt to make herself more presentable. She then fixed her hair, putting it back up, and she headed out into the main room. "I can burn the clothing," she said simply.

Leda Storm

Location: Thalia's Tree

Leda raised an eyebrow - had Apollo just admitted that he fixed the contest by ensuring the judges, the Muses, would vote for him? She wouldn't have been too terribly shocked if that was the case, but the subtle remark was what surprised her. She figured a god with the ego the size of Apollo's would have denied needing to fix any sort of contest - especially relating to the thing they had dominion over. She then couldn't help but huff slightly - that rule was dumb in her opinion. She understood the no helping, but really, a lift was against the rules?

"A quest revolving around cheating at a contest," Leda added to Kristin's explanation, her eyes darting over towards Zeke. She was more than certain he probably had experience in cheating as well. Meeting back up in an hour seemed a bit like a waste of time. They were demigods - they were pretty much always ready to go. Or at least, in Leda's opinion, it only took a few minutes for her to run around and pack everything she would need. Zeke and Kristin would have to learn to catch up.

Leda Storm

Location: The Canoe Lake

Leda nodded slightly - it made sense that Ares and Athena would be the leading cabins. They both had godly parents relating to warfare. Leda's mother, on the other hand, had the reputation for being a bit of a hippie - she wouldn't have been shocked to find out that Iris had protested the Vietnam War back in the day. And probably a million other wars that Leda had never heard of as well. Sure, in some situations it sucked having one of the most minor goddesses for a parent - but it all ultimately came down to propaganda. People had more name recognition of the main twelve and that was one of the reasons why Leda liked taking care of shrines. Everyone got to be remembered, then.

"Yeah, I could eat," Leda said. She ran her hands over her braid for a moment, making sure that it wasn't too terribly messy this early in the day. "Oh really? We're going out on scouting missions now? I thought that was a Satyr thing," she pointed out. However, it would be nice to leave camp and have a change of scenery. Capture the Flag was fun, but it also was incredibly fake. Getting out there, seeing the world, doing some good... It could be nice.

Scott Rydzynski

Location: Pike's Place - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Isley and the Kids

Janelle was so naive and innocent, it almost made Scott reconsider his world view. Almost. The problem with her was that she was taking people at face value - a horrible practice in Scott's opinion. "That's what she wants ya to think, so she can lure ya in and get ya killed!" Scott snapped. "And even if she's innocent, she isn't our problem. Stay the hell away from her - she'll probably get butchered next anyways if she isn't careful." He then threw his hands up in the air slightly at Isley's comments.

"Is this ~say whatever dumb shit comes to mind so we get killed~ day or some shit?!" he asked through gritted teeth. "Honestly, did evolution mess up your survival instincts?!" Jace was calling Quinn and Scott was tempted to snatch the phone and crush it, but the damage was done. He instead decided to glare at the kid. "Hang up. Now." If Jace didn't hang up, then he would grab and smash the phone and Jace would only have himself to blame.

As for Trevor... Scott was certain he'd need to ask the man a few more questions and then kill him. They couldn't afford loose ends.
Bumping this~

Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 8:30 PM

Runa smiled slightly at Myth, admiring her spirit. "Of course. Now go and get married. I can handle this - it's your wedding day and I want you to enjoy it. Besides... Chthon is here for a reason and I do not wish to have him target you as well."

"Mother, you can't miss Brucey's wedding!" Halley protested. She was attempting to keep calm. Although she was not considered a goddess, Halley had control over Chaos Magyk. It was the very same Magyk that the Elder God, Chthon, controlled. She knew that he could only be a manifestation, as a full appearance of Chthon in this world would have destroyed reality. His power was almighty.

"I have no intention of doing that," Runa said truthfully. "Astrid, dear, I need you to Summon Gandr for me."

"But that's Brucey's..." Astrid protested, only for her mother to give her a look. She sighed and held out her hand carefully, and suddenly, the air seemed to ripple. A portal appeared and Runa stuck her hand through it, grabbing the staff. It had been forged for Runa's grandfather, a gift from her grandmother to him. He had given it to Runa and Runa had passed it down to Bruce.

But with Chthon here, she needed all of the extra power she could get. "Hello, old friend," she whispered to the staff. "Vis meg Chthon," she whispered. The staff glowed with a dark energy, before in its open circle an image appeared of Rhys ascending the stairs of Wizard Tower. By the unnatural markings on the man, Runa recognized him instantly as the latest victim of the Elder God.

"Go, protect the others and ensure the wedding proceeds to plan," Runa ordered her daughters.

"Mom... Why is he here?" Astrid asked meekly.

"He must have been Called to Appear. As long as he is manifesting, we cannot prevent him from taking a new host," her eyes then flickered to Halley and her eldest daughter paled in understanding.

Everyone wishing to attend the wedding was present and accounted for. In the first few rows of the Great Hall, family of the bride and groom were seated. It was essentially just family of the groom. Each row was ten seats across, with an aisle parting the rows into two down the middle. Some of the seating arrangements had been predetermined - others were up for grabs in a free for all. To make things easy on us, everyone except for the group at the top of Wizard Tower who wished to attend the wedding has made it to the Great Hall.

At the altar, where normally a minister or priest would stand for a traditional Castle wedding, there was a goat tied to a post. The first portion of this psuedo traditional ceremony was arguably the most important: Bruce and Myth needed to invoke the gods and dedicate this goat, this sacrifice, to Thor so that he may bless the wedding. Of course, it was a bit of a formality here as Thor was seated in the front row, beaming as he sat next to his daughter Klara. His wife, the Lady Sif, was on the other side of the All-Mother.

Even the family of dragons had made it on time, thanks to Thalia bending the laws of reality so that way they would not arrive late. Rainbrook looked a bit glum and pale, but that was to be expected. His parents broke up and he knew that since he was fading, the odds of him ever being born were slim. His heart ached, not for them truthfully but for his sister. Sweet little Apollo would never be born.

Nanna, Bruce's maternal grandmother, sniffled slightly. Her little baby boy was all grown up and about to get married. Her husband, the God of Light, put an arm around her and held her close to him. "It seems like he was born just yesterday..." Nanna whispered.

In front of the Royal Family, Antonije glanced over at Sylvi. They had made plans to do something drastic as soon as the ceremony itself was over. However, a throbbing pressure was starting to build up inside of his head. Something's here... he whispered in Sylvi's mind. He didn't voice it aloud, mostly since he was scared of the unassuming man sitting next to her.

Myrus was looking around the Great Hall, feeling bewildered and unaware of the crisis that was about to unfold. He had turned to religion to explain his powers and he was able to vaguely identify some of the gods and goddesses present. He couldn't help but notice that the "purebloods" as he thought of them were almost all seated on the right side of the aisle, while those with partially human ancestry were two rows in front of him! "That's Forseti - God of Justice and Retribution," he whispered to Luna, pointing out an arrogant looking man sitting next to Cuyler.

"Hey, hey listen! Hey hey listen!" Navi screamed, tapping Amarantha's back. "Pee boy is here!" she exclaimed loudly, pointing at Cuyler.

Astrid and Halley hurried into the hall, taking a seat in the front row with the rest of their family. However, Bruce's mother Runa was missing. "Where's your wife?" Marya asked Lance, kicking at the back of his chair. "She's gonna be laaaaaate!"

Halley then couldn't take it anymore, getting up from her seat as she walked over to her father with tears in her eyes. "Daddy... It's Chthon. He's here. Mom's trying to protect me..."

Arya Rincewind

Location: Wizard Tower - Moving Staircase

As the unlikely trio make their way down to the 20th Floor and open the door, they come face to face with Rhys. The man, wearing the disguise of Ernie cleverly enough to fool the demigods and mutant, seemingly radiates pure terror and chaos. There can be no mistake: something unnatural is there. For Arnora and Grim, Rhys' power seems to be more ancient than their parents. For Ahote, he never will have seen a more terrifying aura - one of pure destruction, rage, and torment.

Arya was right behind him. There was a purple aura to her, shining with pure Magyk. She carried herself very formally, almost regally, as if she was more comfortable with official work than she was in the more intimate relationships life had to offer. She was tired as well - that much was clear in her eyes - and although she held her head high, she was ill.

"You three do not belong here," Arya said to the trio that had broken into her rooms. She wasn't in the mood to be understanding, kind, or lenient. She then turned her eyes to Rhys. She could Sense the Magyk coming from Chthon's host, as well as the disguise. "And you are not Ernie. He is not skilled enough to disguise himself like that," Arya said, drawing her hands up.

Two discs of pure Magyk ignited in her hands. "I, Arya Rincewind, hereby Bar you from this Tower," she said. Unless she undid the command, the four would not be allowed back inside. She looked at Rhys, prepared for a fight to the death.

There was then a woman who jumped over Arya, landing on the landing. She had flanked Rhys and was only focused on him, knowing two of the three standing there to be demigods. They were distant family to her. "Flee, ExtraOrdinary. This is Chthon, the Elder God of Chaos," Runa explained. She pulled her staff at the middle and it broke into two, each end sharpening like a dagger.

@LadyRunic: Skaoi had a good idea, keeping out of the wedding business and going to the Manuscriptorium instead. The clerk, a boy named Emma, nodded at Skaoi as he looked at her. "If you follow me, I can take you to the Darke section... It's where all the serious stuff is kept," he offered. One of the other clerks had told him that Skaoi was one of the Royal Physicians, allowing her access to volumes and works that they did not allow the general public to access.

Emma hesitated for a moment, before he nodded for Skaoi to follow and he began weaving his way through the maze of the Manuscriptorium. Eventually, they reached a staircase and he started to descend flights upon flights of stairs, as if they were journeying to the center of the Earth. "We had a break in early," he whispered to her apologetically.

@FantasyChic: Wanda nodded, cracking a slightly nostalgic smile. The burning/melting blobs that Fleur had dispatched smelled almost like marshmallows. She gingerly stepped over the remains, brushing aside a bit of her brown hair that had turned white. She was using her own life force to enhance her abilities. "The road has never been boring - I would like to have an uneventful visit once before I die," Wanda mused. The temperature on the road dropped suddenly, as snow began to fall.

Alright, sounds good ^^
