Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 9:00 PM

Chthon was quickly losing patience with his host. The Elder God generally completely took over the body, mind, and soul, not leaving a trace of the person behind. They were gone and only Chthon remained. He had taken a liking to Rhys, allowing him to have some semblance of control. And now, Rhys was too focused on some petty vengeance of his own to satisfy Chthon's desires. Fine, I'll do it myself! Chthon hissed in Rhys' mind. Why do you fret so over a weak wizard when there are real threats present?! Why do you defy me, mortal?!

Arya was becoming more and more invigorated. It was as if something was weakening the Sickenesse and she felt more at ease with her powers. Little did she know, but it was Fleur's work on the Witch's Road that was beginning to ease her suffering and increase her prowess. "We should Seal him in the Stranger Chamber - it can contain him and any other Darke thing," Arya explained. She could tell that the energy Rhys was using, while empowering him, it was also destroying him.

The ExtraOrdinary Wizard then muttered an incantation, designed to Seal Rhys' tongue to the roof of his mouth but Chthon was faster. Speaking through Rhys like a doll, the Elder God used one of his more powerful spells from the Darkhold. "VAN-"

However, the god was cut off as Runa blasted him in the face with a bolt of darkness. It did not deter him for long. "-ISH!" Chthon cast, finishing the command. In one moment, Arya was there, standing with the rest of them.

And then she was gone.

"Oh gods..." Runa whispered. There was hardly anything left where Arya had been. Energy was radiating from Rhys as Chthon performed another spell, yet nothing happened upstairs where they were. It filled the Goddess of Lies with dread, realizing that it might the God of Chaos was targeting those in the Great Hall - where most of her family was.

Rainbrook nodded, beginning to feel incredibly cold. It spread throughout his entire body, starting at his toes and working his way up to the head. He doubted that it was a good sign, but he was acutely aware of the danger that was building. More and more of the gods were heading upstairs and he could hear distant muffled noises that could have been fighting or crying.

I don't know... Antonije mumbled into Sylvi's mind. He protectively put an arm around her, feeling more and more on edge. His sisters seemed to sense it too and he hoped that Bruce wouldn't be reckless enough to let them stay and help. They needed to run and get out of there while they still had the chance.

"Cuyler, you can't help with this," Halley said bluntly.

A Darke energy then swept over the Great Hall, seemingly originating from the ceiling. It looked as if it was raining black paint - or either that the wedding guests were about to be smothered in tar. The goat let out a frightened baaaaa and Baldur held out his hand, sending a ball of light up towards the substance. It did nothing to deter it however. Forseti protectively stood in front of his mother. Thor and Lady Sif readied their weapons.

And then suddenly, in a blink of an eye and at such a speed that Marya and Medea could not see it happen, all of the pureblooded Asgardians were gone. The goat's rope had been cut somehow and it frantically made its way for the exit, pushing its head against the door as it scurried out of Wizard Tower, not even bothering to look down at the greeting from the Floor as it left.

"Hey, everyone... Where'd they go?" Astrid whispered.

She did not receive the answer she had been looking for. "Hey, hey look!" Navi screamed out, the little girl staring with wide eyes. Lance's father had been relatively quiet but he had stumbled from his seat, holding his head. The threads on his shirt were snapping as they were stretched out, the scrawny looking man expanding in size as his skin turned a monstrous green.

"HULK SMAAAAAASH!" the man roared, now a towering creature of approximately ten feet in height. Only his pants had somehow remained on him, as the towering beast glared at those assembled and his eyes narrowed at Myrus. Snatching up the prince, the monster began to strangle him as Myrus gasped for breath, unable to do anything to defend himself. He couldn't make any explosions without hurting himself severely.

"H-h-help..." Myrus squeaked, gasping for air.

Halley threw her hand out, yet nothing happened. She tried again and then looked frantically at her siblings. The black substance that had drenched on them and caused the pureblooded gods to disappear - it had temporarily repressed the powers of the Myth of Four. "Brucey, Astrid, Novie... We're powerless," Halley whispered.

It would be up to the natives of this world to stop the beast and free Prince Myrus.

@LadyRunic: Emma hesitated, before he nodded and led Skaoi through the maze once more. The temperature was cold, as if the walls were concealing ice. It might have been in order to preserve some of the texts that required cold conditions to keep their age from showing. A few Charms had been known to require frigid weather, otherwise they would be gone within a year and a bit of knowledge would be lost.

Eventually, Emma led Skaoi into the private rooms of the CHS. There was a strong looking girl with dark black hair and sharp features asleep on the floor. "This is the girl," Emma whispered. By her clothing, it was impossible to tell where she was from.

@FantasyChic: Jadis grunted in pain. Gruesomely, the daggers seemed to slowly integrate themselves into her, becoming a part of her body. But just as Jadis was feeling more and more weak, Fleur would sense herself growing stronger. The Sickenesse was slowly leaving her system. "You lack the power you need to restore the one you love," Jadis spat. She then sent overwhelming images into Fleur's mind, detailing Nera's mortal soul in what seemed to be hellfire and torment. "Chthon will destroy all that you love." Her fingers snapped and Jadis set fire to the portion of the Witch's Road Fleur stood on.

"...Chthon?" Wanda asked, a bit startled. She looked at Fleur and then at the apparition. "Of course he's behind this..."

Leda Storm

Location: The Canoe Lake

"Or it's godly budget cuts," Leda joked. It reminded her slightly of a sketch a friend had told her about from some comedy show, where they poked fun at the fact that there was no Greek god of finance. However, Leda was more or less certain that the job would have fallen to Athena. Economics and wisdom went hand in hand. Just as she was about to head off to the pavillion to get some food with her sister, the limnade doused her and Tammy in water.

"Wow, rude..." Leda huffed a bit. She really didn't want to head back to her cabin and change. They'd be getting pretty filthy with Capture the Flag anyways, so she tried her best to just wring out her hair but it didn't really work. Eventually conceding to the fact that she would need to get changed, she headed back to the cabin along with her sister. Sitting in the pavilion soaking wet wasn't exactly one of her favorite things to do.

Jia Li

Jia Li took all of the clothing that needed to be burned and held it in her hands. She created a small but controlled flame, burning the items until nothing but ash remained. It felt cleansing to burn the remnants of that horrible place. The prison - although her stay there had been brief - was not filled with fond memories. Her countrymen hated her, thinking that she was a traitor... but she rebelled in order to save the nation that she loved. The first nation that the Fire Nation invaded was there own. Not very many people remembered that.

"The Avatar is too young at the moment to help, no matter if he survived the massacre or was reborn into the Water Tribe," Jia Li pointed out. They couldn't rely on the Avatar to restore peace and balance. With the large loss of Air Nomads, there likely never would be proper balance to the four elements again. She then put on her cloak that had been offered her. "We should pick new names and make sure we all know them, just in case we have to say who we are... Call me Lei Ying - Jyun Lei Ying."
Honestly, I think a lot of it stems from the fact that it's incredibly easy to just not resolve issues. If you don't like someone, you can just avoid them and complain to your friends about them. You'll never really end up in a situation where your actions have consequences, as new GM's put up new RP's every day and you can just make a new account. Grudges are easier to hold and often times when you complain about someone somewhere they can't see, you'll exaggerate and blow things out of proportion because you can.

Yes, societies have evolved and we know that people can get past differences - but there's no real need on RPG to do that. We aren't depending on each other for survival. If we hate each other, we can cuss each other out and act as toxic as we want and worst case scenario, one or both of you leaves RPG. You might make new accounts or you might go somewhere else. The anonymity of a username and the fact that any consequences are just so feeble makes it easy to be assholes to each other.

On a more positive note... I think for integrating new RPers into a group, it's key to make sure to keep them involved. I try to tag new users in my discord general chats, ask them how they're doing, what their hobbies and interests are. You can't force people to become friends, but I think that just actively making sure they're included is the best way to go about things.

@BlueSky44@Kirah@Nallore@FantasyChic@BrutalBx
The Playground - Location Classified: October 24th, 2020 - 1:45 P.M.

@Kirah: When Niah returns to her room, nothing will seem out of place at first. However, she will eventually notice a small little postcard set down on her nightstand. The postcard is clearly vintage and there doesn't seem to be anything written on it, with the exception of a date - March 5th, 1984. The most alarming thing about that, of course, is that Niah will recognize the handwriting. It's her own. And she has never before seen this postcard in her life. The writing itself is faded, enough that it even looked like someone had written that on the date indicated and somehow, it had found its way into her bedroom.

@BrutalBx@FantasyChic: Feel free to proceed, you two! Nothing evil from the dice yet!

@FantasyChic@Nallore: From Cass' position in Technology, she also will be able to see the guy hovering around outside. Of course, since she isn't in Tempest's room, she doesn't get nearly as much information displayed on him. Her computer does run facial recognition, but just pulls up the following name: C. Xavier-Theriot. It doesn't even give a full first name, criminal record, or anything like that. She will be able to also hear Tempest messing with the poor guy.

"Hey, did I ever tell you about the time I waxed my ass with chocolate pudding?" Casper said, as if he was talking to someone just a few feet away from him but there was nothing there. He then gasped slightly, pointing into space and he turned, somehow managing to look straight into the camera. "I'm sorry, my brother is normally not that vulgar. Being dead has not done wonders for his sense of humor... I love you still though!"

He then shook his head slightly, clasping his hands together. "Can I call you Betty? All Powerful God seems a bit... tacky," Casper mused. "But Betty, my dear, I am here because I need to pee."

Dominika Novikova

Location: The Playground - Shooting Range
Skills: N/A
Novikova nodded - Maria was right. The stealth suits would be a good idea. She had been making trips out of the Playground by herself and had managed to not be caught so far, but with the two of them leaving, it might draw more attention. She really didn't want Tempest to hack their phones and send them angry messages asking what they were doing and why they were keeping it a secret from everyone else. She didn't like lying to people she considered friends - but this was the only way that they could get Raynor and Sparky home. She knew it from the bottom of her heart.

"I think those are in technology right now," Novikova whispered. She was trying to think who to expect in there. Agent Chase wouldn't be there - she specialized more in squishy things. Harry was a possibility, as was Cass and Tempest. Everyone else that came to mind she doubted would be in technology. And if they were to take two suits...

"Do you think we can get them without anyone noticing?" Novikova asked Maria. This sort of thing fell under the expertise of those trained in Operations.

Bonnie Chase

Location: The Playground - Bio-Engineering and Research
Skills: N/A
"Someone has to be a party pooper around here," Bonnie said with a shrug. If everyone was all fun and games and no rules, then they'd both get nothing done and likely end up dead. She knew that a lot of agents had been lost in HYDRA's uprising - she didn't want to see a return to that number of fatalities. She liked having her friends and colleagues living and breathing - rather than ending up on the table for her to perform an autopsy. It always was both tragic and awkward when she had to do that. "But actually, no, I haven't... Maybe I'll give him a call, do you think we have his private number in our files?" Bonnie asked. She doubted that it would just be obtainable from a simple Google search.

She felt the heat of Flynn's flames before she spotted him come into the room. Her eyes swept over his chest for a moment before she looked up at his face, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks. "Not yet," Bonnie admitted. There wasn't really anything in the lab she could give him, but they did have supposedly flame proof lab coats so she grabbed one and tossed it to him. "If you can handle looking like a nerd, we can see if that works for now. Harry's on the case however."

She bit the inside of her cheek, hoping that she still seemed professional. Even though Flynn had kissed her during the heist on Creed Financial, they hadn't really discussed it or anything like that.

Raynor Blake

Location: the Quantum Realm
Skills: Jack of All Trades (Bladed Weapons)
Raynor grunted slightly as Sparky shocked him. He didn't even have a moment to be impressed or wonder how the spider like creature had doubled in size when she zapped it. "I'm okay," he muttered. He could taste something metallic in his mouth - blood? He wasn't even sure anymore. His vision had briefly doubled, before it resolved itself.

The Wasp, meanwhile, was having no trouble with her monster. She expertly zipped around it, looking almost like an adult fairy, and she skewered it with her weapon. The limbs splayed out as it fell to the ground and Janet tugged her weapon out. "Theresa, it's just a quantum beast - nothing to be afraid of," the Wasp called out. "And besides - we now have food for dinner. I cannot remember the last time we ate..."

"Somehow, I doubt you'll enjoy that," Raynor quipped slightly to Sparky.

Raynor took Lyting, his dagger, and he threw it at the second monster - the one Sparky had caused to double in size. His aim was as good as it could get, hitting the creature and the beast fell to the ground near the second one. Holding out his hand, the dagger then flew back to his grip and had he not felt so worn out and exhausted, he would have smiled.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: N/A

Beatrice chuckled slightly - she hadn't been certain what Thalia's reaction to her quip would be, but the results were entertaining at the very least. She smirked a bit, not saying much in reply. She was too busy looking around the room, sizing things up as best as she could. The color coding system on the wristbands was interesting - she wondered if they had a color for those they suspected of lying on the intake forms. The shouts for someone named Shears, though, that was interesting.

"Codenames - and very obvious ones too," Beatrice mumbled under her breath. "I wonder if yours will be Lesbian," she quipped to Thalia. The groups were separated more, with those who didn't have green wristbands going off to another room. It was almost sweet to see how people instantly started trying to entertain themselves - Thalia included. And Beatrice had to admit, as soon as she heard Pac-Man, she was tempted to give it a whirl as well. It had been so long since they had been able to even contemplate doing things for fun.

And while Thalia hadn't invited her, Beatrice got up and followed her over to Pac-Man anyways. "My entertainment is going to be watching you play this with this hand," Beatrice said with a cocky smirk.

Jack Newnan

Location: Quarantine (W: Conference Room)
Skills: Russian

Jack nodded in agreement. These people - they really did know exactly what they were doing. Newnan had been pretty decent when it came to taking in newcomers, but compared to this, they practically had let people waltz inside, no questions asked, and gave them leadership positions as well. It was intimidating as it was comforting - leaving Jack with a paradox of emotions. If these were good people, they were exactly the types he wanted protecting his wife and son. And if they weren't... Then they had just waded into a new level of hell.

"Khorosho, solovey,"1 Jack said softly. He watched Tatiana with Jamie for a moment, before his friendship signals started tingling and he realized he most likely needed to talk to Ash. He still had no idea what had happened to Thana, if she was alive and if she was here somehow, and having spent what felt like an eternity searching for Tatiana, he could relate to that pain and uncertainty. The wounds were fresh, not even really formed into scars just yet.

He saw a man with a limp head on over to Ash. He figured it would also be a good idea to get to know the rest of these people. Jack made his way on over as well. Sure, he loved music and this record brought a grin to his face, but mostly Jack just wanted to be there if Ash needed him. Besides, he could see Tatiana out of the corner of his eye. This room wasn't too big. "This place... it's somethin' else," Jack said, once he reached the two men. He then looked at the old man with the limp, the one he didn't know. "I'm Jack, by the way," he said, his Boston accent thick and obvious.

@BrutalBx Tagging on you here as well as discord - need you to move your post over to the back up forum ^^

Guin Stark

Location: First Sub Basement - Medical
Skills: Deduction, Perception, Investigation, Mental Link w/ Pietro, Agility, Archery

Guin took the gauze from Beast. It was one of the benefits of having short hair - she could actually put gauze on her head without giving a huge clump of hair in the way. Back when she was younger, she had hair like Rapunzel and it had been a pain on those few occasions where she had ended up with head injuries. Patching herself up, Guin managed to get it secure and had the right amount of pressure to stop the bleeding. "...Lance and I were just talking, when Dean showed up and started attacking Richard. Mary was messing with something in the Electronics Lab before she then came out and attacked us too..."

She winced slightly, still freaking out over what was going on. It felt like a nightmare that she was never going to wake up from. Her thoughts started to race faster and faster, going into overdrive as her Stark brain figured out what was going on. "They're being mind controlled, Hank. I don't know who by but they have... Dean, Mary, and Pietro at the very least. I don't know who else," Guin explained. It had been a simple series of deductive leaps.

"I don't think it's Kilgrave though," Guin murmured, looking at Lance. They had had a run in with someone with the power of mind control before. It hadn't been pretty. Are you okay? Guin reached out softly to Pietro. Her head was pounding slightly. My ear's are ringing Hey, maybe we have matching head wounds. No, it is more likely the sonic screech that just blasted my eardrum. Oww... I'm going to go help Richard. Then I'm coming for you. You are going to do what now?

Guin then drew a few arrows from her quiver, having them at the ready. They had tips that froze the target on impact. "I'll be back - expect a popsicle soon," Guin told Hank. Speedsters tended not to do very well in the cold.

"Ms. Stark, I must insist that you stay put." Guin shrugged slightly. Pietro had taught her a lot about how to be more agile and as Beast went to keep her from leaving, she expertly ducked underneath his arms and slipped out into the hallway, the door shutting behind her.

Dean Kesseli

Location: First Sub Basement - Hallway
Skills: Superhuman Agility

Dean was already beyond pissed at Richard - Mesmero was only fueling that fire. Where Dean's emotions stopped and Mesmero's commands began was a hard line to define. As Richard brought up the name of his biological sister, Max, and the fact that he knew information about her that he had withheld... Dean let out a scream of rage. "Don't you fucking dare talk about my sister!" Dean snapped. He phased his hand into Richard's stomach again, grabbing onto the other kidney, but then his hand got stuck.

"What the hell?!" Dean muttered, tugging his hand around in an attempt to phase it out but it just wouldn't work! He looked at Richard, almost apologetic for a moment, as he kept on tugging and trying it at different angles but nothing worked. From down the hallway, Guin came out from medical and she notched an arrow, aiming at Dean. From what she could tell, it looked like Dean was getting a little too friendly with Richard.

He didn't notice Guin release the arrow. It hit him dead on, freezing what it touched. For a speedster, cold is the natural enemy - it slows them down. If he was having trouble phasing his hand out before, it would be practically impossible now. "No wonder Pietro calls you the wannabe speedster. He could have dodged that," Guin taunted Dean.

"Fuck off, bitch!"

Neil Spellman

Location: First Floor - Formal Sitting Room
Skills: Telekinesis

Neil couldn't hear as they were thrown against the wall again. His ears were ringing - so in a sense he could hear, just nothing useful. Glancing around the room, he tried to read lips to see if anyone was saying anything, but it wasn't in his skill set. However, he knew that he had to accomplish his mission. They needed to get this done with, with or without hearing. "I've got the screamer," Neil said, hoping that Sara or Pietro could hear him.

He tried to throw Mira's head against the table, only succeeding in shoving the She-Banshee back and Mira managed not to hit her head. He stumbled forward slightly, having lost his sense of balance without his hearing. He never had spent a lot of time thinking about how connected those senses were until now. And even though Rogue and Gambit had run outside, he still felt like they were outnumbered. Storm and Mira, both of them were incredibly powerful. He tried again, this time banging her head against the table but it was just a small wound.

It didn't take Mira out of the picture like he had hoped.

Scott Rydzynski

Location: Pike's Place - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Isley and the Kids

From what Scott could tell, their killer wasn't confined to the same laws of time and space as the rest of them. He huffed a bit, looking at Isley and the kids. He hated what he was about to do. He hated the fact that he cared about what happened to them - well, to Janelle. If Isley and Jason got hurt, he wouldn't lose any sleep over it. They were two annoying assholes in a world full of more annoying assholes to take their place. Scott would know, as he was an annoying asshole himself.

"Fine, damn it," Scott cursed. "Come on, let's head out to SeaTac. If we're lucky, we can get on the first flight out - if not, well, hope you enjoy Starbucks for your dietary needs." He wasn't going to return to their homes. The killer would expect them to go there to grab supplies, to stock on up. He crossed his arms, looking at the trio and expected them to make more dumb arguments that would ultimately get them all killed.

Washington D.C.: September 7th, 2020 - 2:45 PM

@FantasyChic: If I could describe Leighton's luck, it would be lukewarm. (Alright, I can feel you glaring into the screen at me for that pun, so I'll stop lol). The police sirens are getting closer and closer, but the vehicles are speeding off in the direction of the Target, where the initial distress call was placed. They don't seem to notice the modern day Elsa running away like mad, leaving an icy trail behind her.

Eventually, Leighton will come to an intersection. To go straight ahead, she would end up running near a public high school. To go east, it would take her past the police station but would be on the way to her hotel. To go west, she would end up in what seems to be a cool little park. It's not too busy at the moment. There are some cars parked on the side of the road, the windows cracked down slightly due to the heat. There is also a sewer grating not too far from her.

@FantasyChic: "What do you want?" Reeva simply asked Anastasia. She had been at this game for a long time, long enough to know that everyone had a price and it was only a matter of knowing what it was. With the resources of the Hellfire Club, she could make anything Anastasia desired a reality. "Beyond, of course, helping to found a nation - becoming royalty," Reeva said with a smile. Anastasia reminded her so much of herself at that age. And with the crisp blonde hair, Anastasia easily could pass for one of her girls - a fourth to the triplets.

"Name your price, Anastasia."

Veil

Location: Apartment Complex - the Parking Lot
Skills: Leadership
"Good thinking, Little One," Colossus praised Spark Plug, after she managed to cauterize her own wound. He then quickly carried Spark Plug into the car, getting her settled, and Havok jumped in as well. Colossus hesitated for a moment, looking back at Veil and Sapphire. "Come home safe," he told them, before he gave the car a good push to get it going and he jumped inside. The sled worked magnificently and they were speeding down the road. The clinic was coming into view and Colossus shifted back into his normal, non-metal form.

"Spark Plug, hey, hey wake up," Havok said, incredibly worried and stressed out for her. He gave her a kiss on the forehead, before glancing out the window as Colossus stuck his leg out, turning it into metal, and he made contact with the road, forcing the car to a halt. "Can you walk?" Havok asked.

Meanwhile, back at the apartment complex, Veil sighed a bit and rolled her eyes. "Honestly, you are terrible at following orders Sapphire," she pointed out. The police had the two girls surrounded, aiming guns at them and canisters that contained aerosol temporary inhibitors.

"PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR, YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!"

Veil glanced at Sapphire from the corner of her eye.

"WE WILL OPEN FIRE!"

"We don't have a way out of this," Veil whispered, raising her hands slowly. She just hoped that Spark Plug and the other mutants they had helped would be fine.

Sunshine

Location: the Morlock Tunnels
Skills: N/A

Erg and Blink were dutifully leading them through the sewer, knowing the place like the back of their hand. At one point, they even walked through what seemed like a solid wall, later turning out to just be an illusion. Eventually, they walked into a large clearing. People were all over the place, some of them at little repurposed picnic tables playing what looked like cards. Little kids with powers were running in and out of tents, scolded by the occasional grown up as they went by. It was a small little community in the darkness and Erg smiled a bit.

"This is our community - we are the Morlocks," he said, turning to face the three mutants he had found. "You are welcome to stay for the night. Should you wish to join, we require that you take the mark if you do not have a visible mutation such as Blink's," he said, tapping the scarred M on his face. Blink's alien like green eyes and purple markings made it no doubt that she was a mutant.

"You said you know electrical engineering?" Blink asked, curious. James would recognize that the power set up here wasn't great. They were mostly relying on out of date, barely working generators to keep things powered, that way they wouldn't be sitting in the dark. "We're kind of about to collapse into the stone age around here," Blink then joked.

Erg laughed slightly, shaking his head. "At least we have Glow to keep us out of the dark."

"Okay, this is awesome and all and I definitely want to stay, buuut I am also starving," Sunshine pointed out. Her little face was a bit scrunched up, mostly because she was resisting the urge to go and fight someone for a chocolate bar. Her stomach was audibly grumbly and Erg nodded, leading them over to a little table. Once they were sat down, he returned with a few bowls of what looked like chili. He then handed each of them a juice box.

"Now this is more like it!" Sunshine exclaimed, before she started wolfing down her food like a wild child.

"Your daughter's cute," Blink said to James and Grey with a smile.
