Outskirts of Birnin Zana - Wakanda: July 16th, 2021 - 3:40 A.M.

Susan went through the portal along with Niah, causing the force fields to fall down as she left the Birnin Zana outskirts. Bonnie's body was limp on the ground as Cass destroyed the Ultron drone that had killed her best friend. The other drones though were still swarming them - Roman would have been hurt, but the blast headed towards him hit a nearby tree and set it on fire instead. "Get through the portal!" Shuri shouted, her temper mostly directed at the young inhuman, as he tended to not be as much of an offensive player as say Cass.

Strange took more shots, staggering backwards and the portal closed. He started using eldritch magic, sending enchanted discs at the drones nearby as he sliced them into pieces, taking out a fair number of them. There was blood trickling out of his mouth but he didn't stop. They needed to buy Susan and Niah time to get the vibranium that they needed - hopefully they'd manage in the laboratory without Shuri, as he wouldn't be able to make another portal until the drones were gone. "We're turning the tide," Strange informed his teammates, trying to lift their spirits.

Shuri waited for a drone to head towards her and she then jumped on top of it, ripping open a side compartment and exposing its wiring, ripping out a few key wires and the drone shut down. Three drones then circled her and she launched herself up into the air, escaping the blasts and firing blasts of her own from her vibranium gauntlets, destroying them. There was a reason she was the Black Panther, after all.

Underneath Mount Bashenga - Wakanda: July 16th, 2021 - 3:40 A.M.

Shuri's laboratory was the main location for the Wakandan Design Group before the Age of Ultron began. Located underneath Mount Bashenga, named for the warrior-shaman who united the tribes into the Kingdom of Wakanda, the laboratory had state of the art instruments that not even the heads of R&D at major companies like Stark Industries and Pym Technologies would dream of having access to on a regular basis. Beyond the tech, there was also access to the unrefined vibranium within the mountain, allowing Shuri and her team to use it as the basis for each of their groundbreaking designs.

And while the laboratory was nowhere near pristine as it had been, as Niah and the others would be sure to note as they crossed through, it wasn't unoccupied. Wearing his metal mask, Victor von Doom was seated at Shuri's workbench. He was tinkering with what looked like a water filtration and purification system, coughing horribly from time to time. "Susan," Dr. Doom greeted, getting up from the bench with shaky legs. "You're," he paused, coughing profusely again, "three months late."

"What do you mean by three months late Victor?" She asked, looking at him, she was wondering why he was coughing so much.

He laughed slightly, but it sounded painful - as if each breath he took was causing him some amount of pain or agony. "Please. Even someone as simple minded as you should be able to answer that one," he said patronizingly.

"Wait... You know why we came here?"

"Obviously."

"Are you planning on stopping us? Or are you going to let us get what we came for?"

Maybe he was smiling underneath that mask. "I want to see the end of Ultron as much as you do, my dear. It would be my pleasure - but.... I will require something in return."

"And what would that be?"

He coughed again. "I was in the Raft when this all began - when you create the machine and travel back in time - don't look surprised that I figured it out, little one, I am the smartest man alive," he added, looking at Niah, "I want you to give me a full pardon and release me. It's what the kids call a win win situation. I go free and so does humanity."

"You were in the Raft for a reason Victor!"

Serval Industries - Virginia: July 15th, 2021 - 8:40 P.M.

There was only so much damage a synthezoid like the Vision could take before his processes glitched, mechanical parts broke, and structural integrity failed. The Scarlet Witch was ripping him apart, Flynn was blasting him with flames, and Tinley shoved an electric baton in the Vision's eye. He was sparking and trying to phase, but he could only hold it for a fraction of a second. "Убићу вас, господине Макимофф," the android said, before switching through a series of languages. "Quem atirou primeiro? Han Solo. Enwere m ike ime nke a ụbọchị niile. Nāṉ irumpu maṉitaṉ. ellā manuṣyarkkuṁ paṅkiṭān oru light ṣmaḷa veḷiccaṁ. You cannot simply ghost Nick Fury. Manē mārā khātāmāṁ lāla maḷyō chē. Je suis toujours en colère, capitaine."

The Scarlet Witch's eyes narrowed, hearing the first thing he said. She spat in the direction of the robot, before she tore out the gem on his forehead, as it had looked important. "Bastard," she cursed, agreeing with Tinley's sentiments. He may not have been the one to kill her twin brother, but he was just another extension of Ultron. She was going to kill him and every other thing out there if she had to - in order to avenge Pietro. It had taken the end of the world, but here she was - a mutant terrorist turned Avenger. Her brother would have been proud of her.

Captain Marvel started to stir, her eyes opening first and then the familiar cosmic glow returned, surrounding her as she pushed herself to her feet. Her face fell when she saw Spider-Gwen and she knew that she was dead - thanks to her cosmic awareness, her perception was extraordinary. She took a large breath, her eyes burning with pure energy - like supernovas - as she glared at the synthezoid who killed her friend. "She was SEVENTEEN!" Marvel screamed at the machine.

As for the Asgardian, Raynor knew that Spider-Gwen was in Valhalla now and her soul would remain there until Ragnarok. His fist clenched as he remembered that Sparky, since she hadn't died in battle, would have been sent to the halls of Hel. His eyes were shrouded in pure light similarly to Marvel's and he blasted the synthezoid, sending the Vision flying backwards. He let out a blood curdling scream, releasing the anger, frustration, and pain. He wanted to die and join Sparky.

The Vision was sparking all over and a large portion of his machinery and circuits were useless - he couldn't even use his right arm. His face still had Tinley's baton embedded inside of it, causing the synthezoid to only have visuals from one eye. However, with the glowing control gem gone, the machine seemed... confused, somehow. "That was... odd," he said, breaking the silence.

He glanced at the fallen web slinger and did not move his eyes away from Spider-Gwen's form. "I am... sorry. That... That was not me."

"Like hell it wasn't!" Raynor screamed, too blinded by anger and rage to use his abilities to tell if the Vision was lying or telling the truth.

"You removed my control gem... Thank you..."

The Penthouse - Hellfire Club Headquarters...

Emma Frost nodded. Using her telekinesis, she opened the filing cabinet near the elevators and a file came over. The contents of the file opened up and hovered in the air so that way everyone could see the photograph of the dead asset manager. "Everything we have on him is here in this file. His name was Gabriel Summers, though he preferred to be called Vulcan," Emma Frost said smoothly. "And yes, he was the younger brother of the X-Men Cyclops and Havok - although I do not believe they were aware of his existence. A pity. The three of them together would have been formidable..."

"At any rate, Vulcan was raised by Moira MacTaggert off the coast of Scotland. He attended my school in Massachusetts and once he graduated, he took a position here with us - ensuring the safety of Sebastian's more interesting technology. His powers were similar to his siblings, dealing with energy absorption and manipulation... He was at least an omega level mutant.." She hadn't answered where Sage was or made a comment on Requiem's opinions on what made an individual a traitor, but this was understandable. She had a lot of information to divulge and could only respond to so much.

The Elevator - Hellfire Club Headquarters...

Veil eyed Glimpse for a moment and her perception told her that Glimpse wasn't trying to lead them into a trap. While she was willing to trust Glimpse and work with her, Veil's trust wasn't blind. There was a reason she brought Havok and Sapphire along on this job - not only were they some of the strongest mutants that the Mutant Underground had ever seen, but they didn't trust Glimpse and Tome at all. If anyone would be prepared to be betrayed and have to get out of dodge in a moment's notice, it would be those two.

She saw Tome bring out the notepad and it was adorable - he was a bit like a puppy. Veil pointed at knock out and run for pieces of protocol, before writing down what they were looking for: information on Shaw + Hounds. Glimpse entered in the correct passcode for the elevator and it opened up, letting them all pile in. Britain's daughter went in first and motioned for them to follow.

Havok's eyes narrowed, having a bad feeling about all of this, but he went inside, as did Veil. He was just waiting for someone to give him a reason to start blasting everything in sight and to get his friends - his family - out of there. Glimpse pressed the button for the penthouse suite and Veil took a slight breath. She glanced at Sapphire and nodded, ready to throw up a force field as soon as the doors opened. While she had decided to trust Glimpse, that didn't mean she trusted Shaw and his minions. They were walking into the lion's den and if Glimpse's information was true, these people were kidnapping mutants, drugging them, and turning them into weapons.

Casper's hands were trembling as he reached behind him and added on additional pressure to the head wound. Jack's shirt was soaked with blood - he probably wouldn't want it back after this, assuming they both survived. He was lucid enough to notice the gaping hole in his brother's teeth and he giggled slightly. "You're Toothless - the dragon baby!" Ben shook his head, trying to smack Casper across the face. "Focus or you're going to die!" he scolded urgently.

Before any help could get to them, the sentinel moved forward rapidly. It was practically on top of the brothers - there was no way that they would be able to avoid the blasts. Lady Luck must have been pulling for them however, as the sentinel misfired and hit the wall behind them - was it secretly a stormtrooper in disguise?

Ward rubbed his jaw where Jack had hit him, chuckling and shaking his head. "We're taking that one alive," he told his men. His men took out what looked like radiation detectors, but they were in fact designed to detect the presence of mutants. Seeing a bunch of signals from behind a wall, they covered a portion of the tunnel wall in explosives and blew it up, before swarming into the Morlock training grounds and killing all of the Morlocks there with ease. Most Morlocks didn't have combative powers and the Purifiers were armed to the teeth. They never really stood a chance.

The sentinel had understood Ward's order and left the brothers and the Purifiers behind, marching towards where Erg, Membrain, and Sunshine were - it was a junction. One direction would take the sentinel to the Morlock hideout, the other to a dead end. Erg spotted the brothers behind the sentinel and he knew that they would need to lead the killing machine away from the hideout, as well as away from Jack and Casper.

"Sentinel," Erg muttered, the color draining from his face.

"It looks more like a Terminator thingy to me," Sunshine commented unhelpfully.

"Stay behind me," Erg said, as the sentinel opened fire on the small group of mutants. The first few shots hit the walls near them, but the fourth shot hit Erg and he staggered slightly, absorbing the energy of the blow. He then removed his eyepatch in order to shoot back with a blast of his own, but the sentinel just kept on firing at him, hitting him with blow after blow. It was too much energy for Erg to absorb and each time he tried to release it in a blast, the sentinel shot at him again.

Erg made eye contact with Jack for a moment. "Protect... them..." he grunted, before he exploded. The force sent Sunshine flying to the side, with Membrain being thrown back into the other Morlocks. The sentinel took a fair deal of damage as it was essentially decapitated - the head having been cleaved off of its body from the explosion. It may have killed Erg, but Erg had brought the machine down with him.

The second Mutant Massacre had begun.

Moonwalker accepted Spark Plug's hand and went back up to his feet, seemingly fine despite being shocked. He smiled slightly at James' plan and then said something along the lines of, "Cayden or Moonwalker, by the way," when asked about his name. Colossus' arms are crossed and he seems to be waiting for them to do something. No matter what happens, he never strikes them first, meaning that they could technically plan all day but that wouldn't help anyone. They needed to ring that bell in order to end the training session.

"Booooring," Negasonic taunted, still playing on her phone.

They were currently in somewhat of a triangle formation - there was the line of heavy hitters in the front (Strange, Susan, Shuri, and Cass), followed by the geeks without muscles (Roman and Niah), and then their healer in the very back (Bonnie). However, it was probably easy to forget that Bonnie actually had a decent amount of combat experience of her own, meaning that Roman and Niah were comfortably sandwiched between a lot of badasses, all intending to do their best to keep them safe. It was the best they could ask for these days - and with Roman taking out a few of the Ultron bots and the weather returning to spring, they weren't making too shabby progress towards their goal either.

Susan nodded her head, gritting her teeth slightly as she concentrated and made the best force fields she could at the moment. The bots were swarming towards them anyways, so it made it a little bit easier - but with the extensive space they were dealing with, she more of was able to construct two force field walls. "On it," she said, before starting to work on making a better enclosure - she needed to make a sphere around the bots for this to be truly effective.

"Strange, my laboratory," Shuri said, rattling off the coordinates quickly to him. The Sorcerer Supreme nodded, tracing a circle in front of them with the sling ring. On the other side, they would be able to see Shuri's state of the art laboratory. It didn't seem to be in the best condition at first glance, but they didn't have a lot of time.

"Through the portal, quickly," Strange urged. He was so busy keeping the portal open that he didn't have a chance to react and block one of the blasts sent at him by the Ultron bot. It hit him in the stomach and he managed to power through, though he was visibly bleeding and his hands were shaking from an old injury. Shuri was hit as well, but she managed to deflect and absorb the majority of the blow with her gauntlets, before redirecting the blast back and destroying an additional drone.

However, one of the drones had managed to move towards those in the back. Bonnie saw the blast headed for Niah and she didn't have time to shove her out of the way. All she could do was jump in front of her and she took the blast directly to the chest, her heart stopping before she even hit the ground. The bot then resumed firing on Niah and Roman, missing them for the moment but if they didn't get a move on, they could be the next agents to fall in this age of Ultron.

Serval Industries - Virginia: July 15th, 2021 - 8:30 P.M.

Intense light began to emanate from Raynor's hand, as he cauterized his wound and stopped the bleeding. Once that was sorted, his thoughts were a little bit clearer and he emerged from the elevator, noticing that the Scarlet Witch was clutching her side. He hesitated for a moment, before he cauterized her wound as well wordlessly. Her eyes flickered over towards him and she nodded slightly. It was the closest she had ever been to telling someone thank you.

For Maria, siphoning off Captain Marvel's powers was likely more than she had bargained for. One of Carol's lesser known powers was a sort of precognition or cosmic awareness - and in that moment, she'll be able to see everything happening in the outskirts of Birnan Zana in Wakanda. She'll see Bonnie Chase drop to the ground, dead from taking a blast to the chest in order to save Niah and Roman's lives. Maria will also be able to tell that Strange is seriously injured and that the so-called geek squad is in serious trouble.

Unfortunately though, Bonnie isn't the only member of the resistance who drew their final breath. Spider-Gwen succumbed to her injuries, her blood staining the floor around her. Captain Marvel had just been knocked unconscious from Maria's abilities - understandable, given that the last time someone used power absorption on her, she had ended up in a coma (thanks, Rogue).

"I must say, I admire your courage," the Vision complimented. While Tinley's idea of using electricity would prevent him from phasing, each electric shock would only last for a minute or so at most. She would need to throw her weapons when she wanted to stop the android and keep on repeating this process until she took him down. The synthezoid crushed the baton that he had caught, dropping the remains down to the ground. "But this is not a fight that you can win. You must surrender - it is imperative for your survival."

"You see, that's what you just don't fucking get..." Raynor snarled, walking forward. His hands were holding two gigantic glowing balls of light and there was murderous intent in his eyes.

"We don't care if we survive," the Scarlet Witch finished for him, her own eyes actually red with hatred. She had chaos energy swirling around her and she shot it forward at the synthezoid, wrapping him up in it. She pulled her hands apart and started to pull the Vision apart, piece by piece. This wasn't her eliminating an enemy or a foe - this was torture, revenge for her lost family and loved ones.

Guin Stark

Location: The Palace - New York City, New York (Outfit - Day 2)
Skills: Telepathy (Mental Link)
Guin had fallen asleep in the lab, having been pouring over databases and the information she had collected. No matter which way she tried to approach it from an alternate angle, the results were clear - Princess Wanda had to have been the one to change the world. She wanted to know why she had done it. Perhaps her future sister in law had a good reason, such as adverting the end of the world by making a new one? But with what Allison had told her, about King Erik being a criminal... she couldn't come up with an explanation as to why Wanda would put a criminal on the throne that still allowed her to view it all with Wanda acting towards the greater good.

She jumped slightly as she woke up to Pietro more or less yelling at her, demanding to know what she had been up to and why she ditched her guards. "They aren't really good at their jobs, more of their fault if they couldn't find me..." she muttered. Her neck was a bit stiff from the position she had slept in. Still though, she didn't want to go to the execution. She wanted more time to think all of this over. "I'm not feeling well... I think I need to rest."

"You are a horrible liar Guina..." Pietro replied, clearly not buying it.

She bit her lip slightly. She knew from experience that Pietro wasn't going to let her out of his sight for a while, but she needed to be able to sort all of this out before Allison did. She didn't trust that Allison wouldn't just find Wanda and force her to change things back, without examining all of the options and figuring out what everyone wanted. Allison was her friend, but her self righteous behavior was a bit annoying at the moment. "Look, I need to talk to you in private," Guin requested. She would just need to trust that he could keep a secret from Wanda.

"Uh... Sure?"

Guin nodded, heading to their room and she got changed into a new outfit. She really wanted to just be in a pair of leggings and a t-shirt, but that wasn't in the cards. She shut the door and locked it, before glancing around suspiciously. "Okay, you can't tell anyone about this but... Your sister, I think she changed the world. Made your family royalty, made mutants on top... None of this existed twenty four hours ago."

Casper Theriot

Location: Thieves Guild Jet - Louisiana
Skills: Mediumship
Casper had managed to sleep better than he had in years. Normally, his brain would be craving some sort of narcotic in order to shut out the ghosts, as they became more active at night, but that problem was gone. He had a greater control over his powers in this world than he had imagined possible. Seeing his brother doting over a little kid was a bit weird, but then again, he always liked to help people. He didn't know what would happen to the kid if things were put back to normal - would she die or just cease to exist?

At least the night had given him time to talk with Ben and to come up with a plan - he just had to sabotage the Baton Rouge mission and ensure that no one here got their hands on an infinity stone. Hopefully someone more qualified to deal with them would show up - maybe an Avenger or two? - but for now, he'd have to assume it would be just him. By the time they were on the jet the next day, he realized that the someone more qualified would be a member of SHIELD / the Red Guard... and that they were going to use lethal force. Fantastic.

"Hey, where's the Incest Twins?" he observed, noticing that the brother-sister boyfriend-girlfriend pair was absent that had been there the day before - Richard and Ayita. The femme fatale and the eccentric hammer enthusiast were both present, along with Gambit and Rogue, his brother, and one of the ginger twins. He knew that Gambit and Rogue had been a part of his father's X-Men and he didn't have too high of an opinion about that team, so he wasn't worried about needing to sabotage them in order to prevent them from getting the stone. His brother was a marshmallow, the ginger seemed quiet and maybe traumatized, and the hammer chick honestly just looked like she was here to have fun.

The one he was worried about then? Anastasia. She was made out of steel and he didn't doubt that she wouldn't let anything get between her and that stone. Ben had similar thoughts. "You could go with the Iron Maiden and sabotage her directly... Or if you take the goofballs with you, then maybe you guys can mess things up enough before she can even get near it," Ben suggested.

Casper nodded slightly. Anastasia scared him, so he liked Ben's idea of ruining everyone's odds of getting to the stone by just designing an incompetent trio. "I got dibs on Bobbi and Jackie!" he called out.

Dominika Novikova and Runa Blake

Location: Human Resistance HQ, New York
Skills: Eldritch Magic
Her brief time spent unconscious from overextending her magic had been the extent of Runa's sleep during the night. Her insomnia stemmed from the drastic timezone change and the knowledge that the fairytale she had been enjoying had come to a decisive end. She couldn't just be a university student in Australia anymore, sleeping over at her boyfriend's house. As much as she wished to be anything but Asgardian, it just wasn't in the cards for her. Runa had spent the night basically just staring into the darkness, thinking over everything and wondering if this was her punishment for believing that she deserved happiness for just a second - to have it all and then have it swiftly taken away from her.

In the morning, her cousin didn't return either - another blow to her psyche. Had Klara remembered the monster Runa was in the real world and decided to run away? She wouldn't have blamed her if she had. Despite not having eaten in almost twenty four hours, she didn't have much of an appetite. Runa heard Lance ask her if she was okay, but her ears were ringing slightly, as if someone had stuck cotton in them in order to drown out noise. "I'm fine," she said softly, crossing her arms slightly. She didn't like that Klara hadn't returned and she was worried, so Runa walked off to an empty corner and performed a tracking spell, paling slightly as she saw the results. Her cousin was in the dungeons of King Erik's palace...

Meanwhile, Novikova was over near Barton and the others. She still had her glasses on, since she didn't really want to be bombarded with images of everyone's alternate lives. Some of these people she recognized and knew who they should have been - others, she had no idea about. There was a slightly charming, slightly clumsy young man who seemed to have the ability to create costumes. As silly as it sounded, that actually would have been a useful skill for a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent - instant disguises. "I can manipulate metal, so I'll go with the group fighting Magneto," Novikova said, stopping any pretense of Magneto being a king. Sure, she remembered both worlds but she knew which one was real. This one, as great as it was, was wrong.

"Maria should go on the stealth team," she then recommended. Her girlfriend had been trained by Barton himself in the art of stealth - she had heard stories about those lessons, with Hawkeye more or less popping up silently right behind her. Novikova didn't want to be separated from Maria, but they needed to play to their strengths. Tinley probably ought to go on the stealth group as well, just in case they encountered resistance, and since Magneto most likely had something on his person that would block out mind control.

John Watts

Location: Serval Industries - R&D Lab (4F & 4F)
Skills: Superhuman Speed, Speed Clones, Hand to Hand Combat
"Keep the twins separated," Watts instructed over the comms. He knew that having Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in the same location never ended well. While Quicksilver was an idiot and had speed, his sister was more dangerous with an entire cocktail of destructive and manipulative powers. He heard that the junkie was going to come assist him without her handler - great. "You sure you're cut out for this?" he asked Bobbi over the comms, derision clear in his voice. "I agree with Psylocke - send the handler." At least if Martin was there, he wouldn't need to worry about Bobbi messing up. She was Martin's problem as far as Watts was concerned. He was running so fast to the lab that he slammed into a barrier and went flying backwards, his head pounding for a moment.

"Would you stop monologuing?!" he snapped, glaring at the Scarlet Witch. With his eyes glowing red from the serum, he probably looked something like the devil. He heard Andrew doing his best to sound tough, while not even doing really much to stop her. The Scarlet Witch wasn't someone that could be beaten in a straight fight. However, at least Andrew's actions got the barrier down and Watts sped into the room. He went so fast that he was able to create a solid after image of himself - something called a speed clone. Not only was the speed clone able to attack, but it was also able to take damage.

Together, Watts and the speed clone rushed forward, punching Wanda and sending her flying backwards.

Leda Storm

Location: Camp Half-Blood 1F -> 4C
Skills: Superhuman Speed

Leda rolled her eyes slightly as her sister ran off and left her with Kiera. It was a little bit annoying that Kiera was being put on scouting, mostly since she would slow them down. She glanced at Kiera for a moment, debating if she should just run off without her but she decided against it, instead picking Kiera up bridal style. "Hold on tight, try not to puke," she said, before moving one hand to be on the back of Kiera's head so that way she wouldn't get whiplash. It was difficult to run at top speed while carrying another person and Leda was really regretting not just ditching Kiera. Sure, she wanted to flirt with her and maybe get lucky, but Leda loved to run above all else.

She stopped once they were at the base of Zeus' fist and she set Kiera down, figuring that they were close enough now and that the Ares people could be nearby. "This is Zeus' fist - I figure it might be a good place to start searching for the Ares team," she explained. She was willing to listen to input from Kiera and had the Hermes people not had speedsters of their own, she would have just run around at superspeed until she found them. She just needed to be a little more careful with her scouting this time.

The Small Wet Country Across the Sea: Date Unknown

Stepping out into view from behind a fallen pillar was none other than a Frost Giant. With light blue skin, a bald head, and scare amounts of clothing, it's no wonder that the tales of the Frost Giants were made to frighten the children of both Midgard and Asgard into behaving. Carrying a spear with fresh blood on the tip, the Frost Giant advanced towards Ahote, looking at him curiously - the way a cat looks at a mouse before striking. They hadn't been on Midgard in eons, so what on Earth is one of them doing here now? Well, Ahote won't really have much time to question this, as the Frost Giant charges at him and throws its spear, aiming for his heart.

The Old Port Witch Coven Home - the Port...

Nera nodded for a moment, considering Fleur's words. "The Queen used to tell me stories when I was young, of a time before ghosts were forced to Remain here... I do not know which is better - to exist forever or to cease to exist at all." It was something she thought about, from time to time, which was to be expected as her ghosthood had been rather lonely so far. Aside from these visits from Fleur, most of her interaction with the living consisted of scaring children who dared each other to sneak into the old Port Witch Coven house.

"When will you find peace?" she then inquired, after Fleur described the power she had rapidly amassed. "When will you be able to rest? As that is my hope for you." Fleur would be able to detect a few Magyk users of significant power nearby - though she won't be able to identify them.

The Dragon Boat - Draggen Island, the Marram Marshes...

The Dragon Boat didn't protest as Titan climbed aboard, but she didn't start to fly them back to the Castle or anything like that. Instead, the magnificent creature just hovered above the cracked island. Maybe she needed to have some sort of specific instruction told? The Dragon Boat could need someone to say Appa, yip yip maybe?

Antonije and Myrus

Location: the Palace Grounds D6 -> E6 / Palace Grounds C9 -> Entrance Hall F5
Skills: Telepathy

Had Antonije been gifted with his siblings' speed, he would have pulled Sylvi back over to them before she could have blinked. Instead, his gifts came from mental control. He didn't want to lose Sylvi and he wasn't going to let her out of his sight. He focused on her mind for a moment, trying to gain control - it was difficult to get inside of her head, way more difficult than it should have been, but he managed to do it. Stay with me, he commanded her telepathically. The ends would justify the means. Sylvi wouldn't be able to resist the order.

He then moved away from the fire, doing as Myth asked - for now. "We can go to Sylvi and I's place," he suggested. They had a room in the Ramblings, since Myth and Bruce had moved back to Asgard with his siblings. He didn't want to live in Bruce's empty home on Alchemie Way, despite the demigods insistence that no one else would be. Maybe Bruce would have an answer for how to fix Sylvi, but at the moment, Antonije blamed his adoptive father for everything that happened. If Bruce had been there, Sylvi might not have been bitten. His sisters wouldn't have gotten mixed up with the Port Witch Coven. Maybe their parents never would have died in that accident.

Myrus allowed Lennox to guide him along for the moment, his hands shaking with fear, sorrow, and rage. He was a naive and innocent boy when the day had started, but who knew what sort of person he would be tomorrow. Loss had a way of changing people and the prince had lost so much - his father, his mother, and now his best friend. He very well could be heading towards his sisters' corpses as well... There was only so much that the mind could bear before it snapped. "Mona, isn't it?" he said softly, but there was an intensity in his violet eyes.

He fell silent, not saying anything else then as Mona went off to deal with yet another vampire. Erasmus was just a decapitated head and he stared up at Mona, attempting to talk but it seemed speech was beyond him at the moment. It would be simple enough for her to just pick up the head and throw it into the fire, but perhaps keeping Erasmus alive could be beneficial - after all, they needed to know who was behind these attacks and why.

Myrus went into the Palace itself now, emerging in the Entrance Hall. His eyes somehow managed to widen again, looking around and seeing all of the carnage. His family's priceless heirlooms were smashed and so many of their loyal servants had been slain. Just one man stood against what seemed to be another pack of vampires and Myrus bit his lip slightly. He wanted all of them to burn for what they had done to Mavis.

"What are you?" Horatio hissed at Bruce. "I heard there was a new ExtraOrdinary but well... I thought you'd be older." The vampires then pressed forward, not quite closing the gap between them and Bruce yet, but getting into a more easily defensible position than the bottleneck they had been in. They spotted the prince not too far behind Bruce and Jett smiled. "You brought us a snack!"

As for Amarantha, she would soon come face to face with a corpse as she entered the Long Walk. There were blood trails everywhere and no signs of more vampires, but they could have easily been in hiding. However, in this moment her resolve will fail her - and she will be unable to stop herself from feeding from this corpse.

Halley Banner

Location: the Docks - the Port
Skills: N/A
Halley thought about it for a moment, staring at the wall. Why would there be a concealed palace complex here in the Port? She hadn't spent a lot of time on Midgard lately, so she was running short on ideas that weren't more than just educated guesses. It could have been built by her uncle, he did love palaces and other things of grandeur. Maybe it belonged to the Castle Queen? Or maybe it was the palace home of some other player that she wasn't thinking of? "Cuyler.... Your axe acts as a compass," Halley said, noticing something.

It was something that was easy to overlook, but Halley adored rules and logic. The axe pointed in the direction that they needed to go - so why would it be wavering between two directions? Well, she saw that simply as meaning that there were two locations they needed to visit first in order to get through that wall. "Do either of the directions it pointed mean something to you? It's possible that the key to getting through this wall will be achieved by going to one or both locations," she explained.

She then hesitated for a moment, before deciding that it was time. "Cuyler... I must tell you something... It cannot have been Arya Rincewind that you Sensed - she's dead."

The Penthouse - Hellfire Club Headquarters...

Emma Frost stared at Jinx for a moment, a bit surprised at his outburst over Reeva simply leaving for a dinner reservation. "Jinx, sweetheart, that is not a good look on you," she said constructively. Part of her duties as Hellfire Club leadership meant that she needed to mentor and teach. While she lacked competent mentors, that was not the case for these individuals here - they had her. Who else better to teach them? It was a subtler approach than Anastasia's direct scolding but in Emma's experience, the delicate touch often proved far more effective.

At Requiem's offer of a drink, Emma raised her own glass. She was already set. "I have my suspicions as to who would have done this, but nothing substantive. When you rise to a prominent position as us in the Inner Circle have, you acquire... history with various players. I do not wish to bias your investigation, and as for resources, please do let me know how I can be of assistance." She took a calculated sip from her drink, before the glass remained suspended in front of her. "I know as much as you three do on this matter - but since Sebastian is unavailable this evening, I do not mind. It has been a while since I got to expose a traitor in our midst."

Outside the Hellfire Club Headquarters...

"Huh, haven't heard that before. Unfortunately Invisible Woman was already taken - but I like Veil. It's similar to my birth name," Veil explained. She rarely went by Valery these days, finding that the name she chose for herself had more meaning than the one her parents gave to her. She liked that it described her powers, while allowing her to retain something of her childhood in Canada - it merged her two worlds, mutant and human.

"I thought you were on my side?" Havok muttered, irritated with Sapphire. He didn't like these new people at all. They had a princess and a jester with them - and just the day before, Spark Plug had nearly died on a mission. Two days ago, Veil and Sapphire were captured. He was a perfectionist at heart, though most didn't realize it, and Glimpse and Tome were unknown variables that he couldn't control. "I can blast plasma," he then told Tome, a bit reluctantly.

It wasn't long until they arrived at the Shaw Industries building - which just so happened to double as the Headquarters for the Hellfire Club. The top dozen floors were private, listed on the company directory as being Dr. Shaw's residence.

"Okay guys, I'm cloaking us now - you'll still be able to see each other, but well... You'll see," Veil said, before making their little group invisible except for Glimpse. Everyone would still be able to see each other, but they looked more like faint ghosts, just hardly in focus. At least it would keep any of Shaw's people from seeing them, so it would be worth it. Glimpse wouldn't be able to see them, though. "Lead on," Veil told the rich mutant.

They could either go in through the main entryway, requiring them to pass a biometric scan to enter the elevator and take it up to the penthouse - or they could go around the back to the garage and use Shaw's private elevator, though it would require a passcode to be inputted and a fingerprint scan taken.

The Morlock Tunnels...

The sentinel was more advanced than the ones that O.M.E.N. had used to attack Xavier's Institute in June. Made out of secondary adamantium, also called adamantium steel, this weapon of death is more durable than the ones who came before it. It is better able to adapt to various mutant powers, analyzing attack patterns on the fly and identifying humans, mutants, and inhumans within seconds. Its power source allows the sentinel to operate for twenty four hours before needing to be recharged - and if that was not enough to make this mutant killing machine fearsome, perhaps the fact that the sentinel was not alone would be enough.

"Ouch, that's gotta hurt like a bitch," Ward commented, stepping forward with a gas mask on. There were nine other Purifiers with him, standing behind the Sentinel, all wearing gas masks and clutching what looked like heavily modified rifles. It would be plainly obvious to the brothers that these were military grade weapons - how had they gotten them? The Purifiers were essentially a largely disorganized hate group... so how did they get a sentinel and those guns?

"J-J-Jackie, your boyfriend sucks!" Casper complained. His voice was trembling and he felt like the walls were closing in all around them. Sure, he had run into the tunnels without thinking much about it, but the Purifiers and the sentinel were cutting off the primary exit to the surface. He could have sworn the air was growing thinner and he moved backwards slightly, taking greedy breaths in an attempt to get as much into his lungs as possible.

"...I totally forgot you were claustrophobic," Ben commented. "Look, you guys can't lead them back to the Morlock tunnels - it'll be a massacre! You need to either stop them here or find a way to get rid of them."

Casper nodded slightly, his hands shaking and his eyes were almost comically wide. "Th-the only other exit is through..." he didn't finish the sentence. Ben realized what he meant - in order to lose the Purifiers, they had to run through the Morlocks main hideout. And with the sentinel, they didn't even really have the time to sit here and talk. The sentinel fired off another energy blast, hitting Casper in the chest and it sent him flying back behind his brother, hitting up against the wall hard. All he knew was that his head felt very warm and sticky and the world was spinning all around him.

The sentinel then shot Jack again, hitting him in the shoulder. He wasn't lucky - this time, it was a third degree burn. These ones are the most painful and take the longest to heal, penetrating the layers of the skin and doing severe damage. "Jackie..." Casper mumbled, losing consciousness rapidly.

"I gotta tell ya - Schmidt really delivered!" Ward boasted, his men chuckling in agreement. "Now let's go find the nest and get rid of these monsters before they can hurt anyone else."

The Morlock Hideout...

Not too far away from the brothers, the various Morlocks were going about their business. Sunshine was uncharacteristically quiet, sipping water and contemplating what Jack had told her. She didn't know if she was ready to take a brand - sure, she knew logically that it was a good choice, but the thought of searing an M into her flesh? She just anticipated the pain and it was clouding her judgment. Blink at the very least was understanding, despite not having to go through that process herself, as she had a visible mutation.

"Purifiers! They're in the tunnels - with a sentinel!!!!" Grimlock screamed into everyone's mind.

Erg instantly grabbed his gun, holding the red hot poker in his other hand. While he had intended to brand Sunshine's face with it, he could double up and use it as a weapon against any Purifiers that managed to get their way. "Everyone, stay calm. We have prepared for this," Erg reminded them. "Blink, evacuate the children, sick, and elderly. Everyone who can, prepare for a fight."

"There's ten of them," Grimlock added, as Blink opened up a portal and a bunch of the Morlocks started to panic, rushing towards it. The Mutant Massacre that happened in New York at the hands of Sinister's agents was fresh in their memory. One of the Morlocks, Membraine, hurried over to Erg while Grimlock was evacuated with the rest of the children.

"Kid, get through the portal!" Blink ordered Sunshine. People were still trying to get through as best as they could. Most Morlocks didn't have offensive powers. If the Purifiers got in here, they'd be sitting ducks.

Sunshine shook her head. "I want this to be my home... I'm not gonna let some assholes take it away from me - from us, I mean," she said, conjuring up two little green balls of disease in her hands. She ran over to Erg and the other mutants who had decided to fight, her heart beating nervously. "What's the plan? You do have a plan, right?" Sunshine asked, doing her best to not accidentally make one of the Morlocks sick.

There was a fiery feeling in her stomach. Just as she had found someplace safe, the Purifiers were going to take it away from her - again. She wasn't going to let them do that, however. She didn't care what she had to do. She didn't care if she had to kill them. It was for a just cause - defending her fellow Mutant brothers and sisters. Of course, there was a certain amount of hatred motivating her actions. They had taken so much from her, it would be nice to make them bleed and hurt for it.

"We go into the tunnels. Keep them from finding the entrance at all costs," Erg instructed, before leading his strike force out.

"No killing," Colossus responded to Spark Plug, as she asked what the rules were on using their powers. "Rule number one of being X-Men, er, hero." His movements were careful and constrained, allowing him to keep his balance despite the ice that Leighton had created on the ground. Negasonic wasn't being very helpful, still just leaning up against one of the walls and texting. At least she wasn't looking up and making snarky comments, but she wasn't offering any advice.

Since this was a training exercise, Colossus was not lunging at them to attack them. Unfortunately, only Leighton had actually made an attempt against him this time. "On line," he repeated, more or less indicating that that attempt was over and it was time for them to try again. He was in his steel form and he stomped, breaking the ice that was immediately beneath him. There was still plenty on the ground which could be used to their advantage.

"If you guys don't start trying, he might shoot you in the back with an arrow," Negasonic quipped, noticing that a few of them seemed to have doubts. Doubts like that would get them killed out in the field. And even if they weren't all suited for combat from their powers, there was no reason they shouldn't be able to fight. If Hawkeye could defend New York from Loki and an alien invasion with a bow and arrow, then these mutants should be able to ring a bell.
