The Kingdom of Attilan - the Moon: February 14th, 2021 - 10:50 A.M.

Bonnie Chase and Raynor Blake

Location: the Palace
Skills: Trivia Knowledge, the All-Tongue

"Just a bunch of Celestial brats," Raynor explained to Maria, shaking his head slightly. He didn't really like Celestials. They were annoying and egotistical, fond of speaking in riddles and just letting others do the busywork of saving the universe. Raynor had been lucky to recognize Thanos as being one of the eternals from Titan, since he only remembered the names of a few. One was called Thena - he knew that. And there was one called Ikaris as well.

"She just confessed to basically trying to commit genocide of the mutant race, I think I'm entitled," he whispered back harshly to Cass. "She's the reason you're dying, Reed." Raynor didn't want to pretend that M-Pox was just a mild inconvenience - something that could be easily forgiven and overlooked. Their planet was suffering because of Medusa's actions. Since the inhumans had apparently been attacked by the Black Order, they should have understood pain and suffering. They should have had empathy.

But instead, Medusa and her sister, Crystal, looked on without compassion. "Can your healers treat the dead?" Medusa asked Cass coldly. "Can they reverse the flow of time and bring back those who perished fighting the Black Order?" she added, rising to her feet. It would be apparent to everyone in the room that the blood covering Medusa was not her own. "Where were they when our children were being murdered by outsiders?"

"With all due respect, Queen Medusa-" Bonnie began, only for Medusa to cut her off. The inhuman's hair was writhing around like snakes and her expression was fierce, the sort that could seemingly turn someone to stone.

"I am not finished speaking," Medusa interrupted. "Less than one percent of the inhumans of Earth have undergone terrigenesis. I owe them protection - I owe them the granting of their abilities in order to protect themselves from the Mad Titan's wrath. If the mutants die from the mists, then so be it, as long as my people have a chance to live."

Crystal rolled her eyes at Oliver. "It's the same mist, idiot. Most inhumans never go through terrigenesis in the first place. The Genetic Council decides who can turn."

Bonnie curled her toes inside of her shoes. She didn't really like either Crystal or Medusa. They were both incredibly haughty and defensive, and while she could excuse the latter given that they had been attacked and their kingdom was crumbling, the former trait rubbed her the wrong way. They clearly didn't care about hurting an entire race of people. They were acting like anyone who wasn't inhuman was less than - that they were dirt, not worth concerning themselves over. They reminded her of Magneto.

"I'm sorry, but we can't accept this. No one's life is worth more than someone else's - the mutants and humans of Earth deserve protection from the Black Order just as much as the inhumans do. I know you don't think that we're capable of much, but we can stop Thanos and we're going to get rid of the mists poisoning our planet," Bonnie declared. "Feel free to join us so we can work together to save everyone."

"The Terrigen Mists are sacred, child - to destroy them would be to declare war on Attilan and all inhumans across the galaxy," Medusa warned. Lockjaw growled.

"And I'd say poisoning all the mutants is pretty much declaring war on Earth," Raynor pointed out. "Also, Percy Jackson called, he wants his Greek Mythology references back."

There was a lengthy, tension filled pause.

Medusa then produced a small device, covered in blood. "I will make a wager - if you can expel the Black Order from this system, I can remove the terrigen from your atmosphere," she offered. She then pressed a button and a holographic projection of strange numerals and symbols floated in the air above them. The symbols were kree.

The symbols translated in Raynor's mind instantly, as he spoke the All-Tongue. "...Thanos has an inhuman son named Thane?" he asked. "...Thane? Really?"

"Yes, really," Crystal scoffed. "Flatscans, unbelievable..." she then muttered under her breath.

"Before he... Black Bolt and I were able to determine using the Inhuman Codex that Thanos' Black Order is demanding the tribute of younglings for a terrible reason. Thanos knows that his child is of inhuman lineage... Thanos means to murder Thane, driven mad by a prophecy that Thane will kill him," Medusa explained.

"And according to the Codex, Thane was born on Earth," Crystal said softly.

"So we defeat the Black Order, protect Thane, and you'll destroy the Mists?" Bonnie confirmed. She didn't know if the inhumans were even capable of that - but at the very least, if Medusa and Crystal dispersed the harmful terrigen mists, they would avoid a war.

"You have my word," Medusa promised.

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Oak Park
Skills: Forensic Pathology

"Of course, I'll not spare a single detail - it's a chilling story, a tale to astonish no doubt," Megan mused. She was about to give Jack all of the information, when forensics arrived on the scene and quickly asked for her assistance with the bodies. Torn between her urge to tell Jack what had happened and her stubborn belief that most people were incompetent when it came to bagging corpses, she sighed. Isabella wasn't there, so at the very least there were still small miracles. "I'll be a moment."

She then went to work, snapping a fresh pair of gloves onto her hands as she bagged and tagged all of the corpses. Some of the bodies were more intact than others. She labeled them appropriately, so that way there wouldn't be any question as to what crime scene the stiffs were from. Of course, it wasn't like their sleepy Kansas town had mass murder events orchestrated by wizards occur every day. Finishing her work, she took off her gloves and disposed of them appropriately. "Come on, I'll give you a lift," she told her brother, before leading him over to her car. Once they were both inside, she turned and looked at him seriously.

"I met a wizard," she told him bluntly. "He claimed that we are the children of fairytale characters and that we are in grave danger due to some sinister foe... I imagine the Maleficent cosplayer we saw on the tapes... Though I suppose it may not have bene cosplay after all."

At the end of the train, near compartment 30, there were five loud cracks! as the team of aurors apparated onto the halted train. These five were being assigned to track down the escaped Death Eaters and while no evidence indicated any of them were on the Hogwarts Express, they were not going to risk the children's safety. The team consisted of Lyra Burke, a former Head Girl and Quidditch Captain; Bonnie Flynn, another former Head Girl and Prefect; Frederick Flynn, a former Slytherin; Lionel St. Willfold, the senior auror of the team; and Callum McFenwick, a former Hufflepuff.

Bonnie pursed her lips, gazing down the corridor, the ghastly green light still shining. While only one of the children on the train was her daughter, she was already prepared to protect them all as if they were her own.

"Shall we?" Burke asked her companions. She pulled what appeared to be a spray bottle from her pocket. It contained the same mist used at Gringotts as a security measure against Polyjuice Potion. All of the aurors had their own individual bottle today.

"Yes, let's," Bonnie agreed, producing her own bottle. She opened up the door to compartment 30 and sprayed the mist. Bukre did the same in compartment 29, Frederick in 28, St. Willfold in 27, and McFenwick in 26. No Death Eaters were there - the closest thing was Merula and her gang.

Compartment 1 -

Clearly, the prefects had not been alerted in advance that the train was going to be searched. Talbott had pulled out a Sneakoscope from his pocket and placed it in his lap, watching it attentively. It had been still the entire train ride thus far. And now, it was whistling, lit up and spinning. His eyebrows were furrowed as he studied it.

"...Is it broken?" Penny asked timidly. Her baby sister was off somewhere else on the train and she stood up, instinctively wanting to go to Beatrice but they were forbidden from leaving their compartments during the search. "Madalyne - please tell me you saw Bea, is she alright?" Penny asked her fretfully.

"There's a dark wizard here," Talbott muttered, finally tearing his gaze away from his dark detector.

Compartment 15 -

Some of those in the compartment must have been first years, as while they were in their Hogwarts uniforms, they didn't have any house colors yet. Two of them were girls - one of them with short blonde hair and a striking resemblance to Penny Haywood, another with almost pure white hair and a moon pendant on. The latter seemed rather withdrawn, having pulled the sleeves of her sweater over her hands.

"It'll be fine, the aurors are going to keep us safe - they'll take care of any Death Eaters and throw them in Azkaban," Barnaby reassured the frightened kids. "They can even say hullo to my parents," he joked.

"Aren't you two scared?" the blonde girl asked Fae, tilting her head slightly. "Are you.... Mintfree?" she then asked hesitantly. "I'm Beatrice Haywood. My sister's mentioned you."

Paige Atwell

Location: Compartment 13
Magic: Charms

Paige forced an exaggerated grin on her face, as she rolled her eyes at Zelda. "Very funny, Zelds." She snapped her diary shut, not wanting to get more ink on Hestia's paws. Snape would kill her if she let Hestia wander all over the Slytherin Common Room with a little ink trail of kitty paw prints. She could just imagine seeing the paw prints on the glass that let them see underneath the lake, with the majestic Giant Squid obscured by Hestia's handiwork. As she went to put her diary back in her bag, though, she noticed a faint whistle. Her eyes narrowed slightly and Paige dug around in her bag, until she found the source of the problem.

Her pocket sneakoscope was lighting up, spinning, and whistling like crazy. She hadn't seen it behave like that since... well, since her brother had last come home. It didn't even behave that way around Merula and her goons. Hestia hissed at the device, batting at it with her paw in an attempt to shut it up. "Uh, guys?" Paige piped up, glancing up at Andre and Zelda.

Andre had been petting Goose, pulling his hand back with confusion. He hadn't seen a pocket dark detector before, even with attending Hogwarts during the war. "Paige... Is that a new game or something? Did you pick it up from the muggles?" he asked, obviously confused. He knew that Paige's father was muggleborn and that she lived in a predominately muggle area.

"Not even. It's a pocket sneakoscope. When it lights up like this and spins and makes noises... it means someone untrustworthy is about."

The Quidditch star forced himself to relax slightly. "Oh well, Merula is on this train, right? It's probably just her - I bet the aurors are just here to take a break from looking for the dark wizards, convinced their bosses to let them hang out on the train for a bit."

"If it were Merula, then this would have gone off earlier when she was in here," Paige reasoned. "And since I share a dorm with her, I'd never get a wink of sleep." She then rose to her feet. She had promised her father that she wouldn't get in trouble. And she knew that it would be incredibly stupid to go out looking for it right now. She walked over to the open compartment door and poked her head outside, looking up and down the hallway. There were a bunch of adults down at the very end, but otherwise, she didn't see anyone.

"They've got to be close by... Maybe in one of the compartments near us," Paige reasoned. Pulling out her wand, she twirled it around herself and whispered the incantation for the disillusionment charm. She shuddered instinctively, as it felt like someone had cracked an egg over her head, but it worked. Paige was blending perfectly into her surroundings. "Come on, let's go," she whispered, before leaving the compartment.

"...Paige, don't!" Andre shouted after her. Hestia meowed loudly and tried to jump into Zelda's lap. The sneakoscope was gone - Paige must have taken it with her.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈 and ✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Camp Half-Blood - Dining Pavilion -> Ship
Skills: N/A

Leda had the urge to throw something at Zeke's face. Feeling Kiera place a hand on her shoulder wasn't comforting or soothing - it only set her nerves more on fire. When she was angry in a mood like this, she just wanted to run and kick something, not be pulled in for physical comfort. The son of Zeus, the shapeshifter, turned into a cat and rubbed himself up against her. If it wasn't for the fact that Leda loved animals, she would have kicked him as far as she could. It was probably for the best that the cat ran towards the ship and started to climb up the rope ladder. She looked at her sister, Tammy, for a moment and she sighed. "I'm fine, just not chuffed with all of this - I'll see you soon."

She then climbed up the rope ladder and got onto the ship, standing not too far from Mary. "Oh this is going to be bloody brilliant," she muttered. A small part of her did want to geek out over how incredible the ship was. Another part of her wanted to flip off Chiron from her vantage point, since he could hardly reach her and drag her down for a lecture. Kiera seemed pretty bubbly about all of this and happy. Leda let out a huffy breath. "Let's do the tour then!"

Rebecca didn't need to be Leda's ex to see how bothered the speedster was - it was plain as day. She elected to remove herself from that situation, instead moving over towards the cat that needed information about the evil eye. Rebecca knelt down next to the creature and gently offered her hand for the cat to sniff, noticing that Demetri appeared to be behaving as a cat and not as a person in this form. "Black cats are the most beautiful," she told him with as slight smile, before scratching him behind the ears. "It's quite a shame that mortals have such an aversion to them... They're disproportionately killed in shelters."

The young witch then rose to her feet again, excited at the prospect of a tour. The ship was so large and grand that she imagined they each would have a cabin of their own. She adored her siblings, but the potential of true privacy was tempting. It would allow for her to meditate and study her magics as she pleased while on this journey. She had no doubt that she would need to do so, especially given the immense importance of their task - she didn't dare think of what might happen if they failed to reach Camp Jupiter.

Washington D.C.: September 10th, 2020 - 2:45 PM

Outside Shaw Industries...

Polaris arched an eyebrow at Max, wondering what he was playing at. Everything about him was extreme. "Sure, kid," she ended up answering. "Try not to set anything on fire," she then added. Once they reached the bottom floor, she exited the building, immediately seeing the large crowds marching for Stryker. They were bearing anti-mutant signs and wore Purifier shirts. They had megaphones and little kids raised up into the air. "Fucking Christ..." Polaris cursed.

She quickly made her way over to the nearest alley, trying her best to keep her head down so that way her green hair wouldn't attract too much unwanted attention. Just as she was about to open up the sewer grate so they could descend down into the tunnels, a rock flew at her and hit her in the back.

"Hey, you!" a voice in a crowd jeered. "You aren't welcome here, fucking mutie scum!"

Polaris turned on her heel, her eyes blazing. "Oh you are going to regret pissing me off!" The sewer grate flew up from the ground and snapped into Polaris' hands, before she lobbed it at the crowd like a frisbee, knocking them to the ground. The metal disc then flew back up into the air as Polaris got ready for another blow.

Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean...

"Good, I can't stand to be in this machine any longer myself." Wanda muttered, still using her powers to enhance their speed. "Wonder whose going to be on the team that meets us there, just pure curiosity on my part.

"Actually, I can answer that," Phoebe said with a smirk, walking over towards where Jinx was manning the torpedos and the corridor where Wanda was. They both would be able to see her. "Your darling sister - not the one who betrayed you all for S.H.I.E.L.D. No, the bipolar one - Polaris."

"Oh? What is Lorna doing? Thought she much like the rest of my family it would seem was off playing hero. This certainly does make for an interesting situation now doesn't it?" she mused at the thought, nodding her head slightly in response to her.

The submarine began to slow finally as they reached the Washington D.C. Waterfront. Sophie joined Phoebe, leaving Esme to continue to pilot the sub. Shaw had his yacht, the Luxury, parked at the waterfront so they could wait there until the team meeting them arrived. "Right, daddy dearest didn't tell you - Polaris joined the Hellfire Club," Sophie explained. "He named her the White Rook, his second in command."

"She's what?" Wanda said, sounding more then a little bit annoyed with that news. Unlike Lorna, she had been by their father's side the entire time, and he named Lorna as the White Rook? She said nothing more regarding it, but it was more then a little bit obvious that this seriously bugged her.

"Relax, Wanda - I'm certain you're still his favorite," Phoebe reassured her with a smirk.

The Dining Room - Mutant Underground Hideout...

Colossus glanced over at Glimpse, surprised that she wanted to talk to Kurt - and a little bit worried. She hadn't made the most favorable impression on him of the newcomers to the Mutant Underground. "Kurt, do you want me to stay?" he asked his friend gently.

Kurt shook his head, taking shuddering breaths. "I will speak to the fraulein alone, Piotr..." he told him softly.

Colossus hesitated, before nodding and he stepped away, heading over towards where Spark Plug and Blink were working with the kids. The kid gulped down the pill from Spark Plug without needing water, as if they were used to routinely dry swallowing medicine. With the work done on them by Mister Sinister, they probably were.

"...I thought hiding with the Morlocks was the answer," Blink admitted to Spark Plug. "I can't help but wonder if I hadn't left the Atlanta Underground, if I had stayed... Maybe I would've been able to do something to help," she sighed. "I come from a long line of some seriously messed up mutants... I should try to give back, to right their wrongs... To at least protect kids."

Medical (Room 10, Second Floor) - Mutant Underground Hideout...

As James brought up the mention of food, Sunshine's stomach started growling. She couldn't remember the last thing she had eaten for a moment. Had it been food at the Cherry Bomb earlier? Her mind went to fantasies of chicken fingers and french fries, of cherry cokes and apple pies. She wanted nothing more than to eat everything in sight like a human Pac-Man. "Get me something too!" Sunshine called out after Sapphire, as she left to go find some food for James.

Havok was quiet for a moment, before he clapped James on the shoulder. "You're a real bro," he told him, giving him a grin. He didn't consider James to be a newcomer anymore. He was part of this crazy family and from this minute onwards, Havok decided he would be there for James if he needed him, no questions asked. "I owe you one - I'll see if we can get you something better to eat than whatever's lying around here."

"You mean dead rats?" Negasonic quipped.

"They taste better than spiders, at least," Magik replied. "...I'm going to go talk to Piotr," she announced, leaving the room. She knew that she had been brushing Colossus off and she probably owed him a little bit of an explanation. She loved her brother, even if she didn't show it.

"James, here," Sunshine then spoke up. She had cleared off a dusty cot of sorts for him - it was the closest place they had in here for him to sleep. Sunshine had grabbed one of the blankets set aside for the sick too and she held it up for him, figuring he could use it to keep himself warm.

The Entranceway - Mutant Underground Hideout...

"What do you think Jack wants to talk to you about?" Ben asked, a little bit curious. Quicksilver hadn't really given up any new information, whereas Jack was being fascinatingly melodramatic. Casper shrugged at his un-dead friend in response. He had no idea what Jack was going on about. Maybe he needed some recommendations on how to stop using so much Axe body spray? Or maybe he was going to ask Casper for ideas on where to find the best raves in D.C.?

"Sure, Jackie," Casper said. "And Ben really does want to go to a movie, I'm not lying about that."

Pietro thought for a moment before he held up his hands and looked like he was counting something, before responding to Cayden's question. "For 1 year, 8 months and 2 days, since the Hansen Power Plant blew up, joined them then after the whole debacle," he said with a bit of a shrug before he pulled out yet another Twinkie and offered it to Veil, "Want one? I always stash a bunch of food around since super speed and a normal amount of food do not mix at all. Anyway, as I was telling Waverley here, Xavier is going to stop by later to essentially check up on what you people are doing or something like that. I don't know, wasn't really paying attention since since the old man tends to drone on and on about everything."

Veil jumped slightly, seeing Sapphire come down the stairs, drenched in blood. It was a horrific sight and Veil instantly felt responsible for it. She had been the one to lead Sapphire on the mission into hell. Her brain short circuited from pure stress and guilt for a moment, before she realized she needed to say something to Quicksilver. "I'm good, thanks," she told him with a forced smile. She didn't even hear Waverley try to call her attention from behind her.

Her eyes narrowed for a moment, sizing Pietro up. "I need a favor from you, however. As you can tell, my family's been through a lot in the last few hours," she began. She was taking a leap of faith here. Xavier trusted him and she trusted Xavier. "I need you to go buy a bunch of pizzas and beer," she told the speedster. She wrapped the money in invisible energy and yanked it out from Jack's pocket, the bills flying into her hand. To those who didn't know her, it wouldn't look all that different from telekinesis.

"$200 should cover it," she said, holding out that amount to Pietro.

"Uh, sure, I can do that, give me a few minutes, be back soon," he said, before he took the money she gave him and he took off in a flash.

Casper couldn't help but giggle slightly. "You just made Magneto's son be your delivery bitch!" he exclaimed. The giggling didn't stop. It was infectious and Casper's body just couldn't fight it off. He stumbled backwards slightly until he was up against the wall, still just laughing his head off at the image.

"Sapphire, mind giving me an update on... well, the blood?" Veil asked, ignoring Casper.

There was suddenly a gust of wind as Pietro came back, stacks of pizza were in one of his hands, easily balanced and not falling, and stacks of beer as well as soda for some of the younger kids in the other, still not falling. "Here you go, just got standard cheese and pepperoni pizzas, and figured some soda for the younger ones around here who can't legally drink and what not," he said as he set them down.

⚡John Watts⚡ and 🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Smallville?
Skills: N/A
"...You let the Sisterhood escape?" Arthur snapped softly. He had been operating under the assumption that Spiral had sent them off to prison or that they had gone to rot somewhere. Hearing that she had no idea where they were - that his father's killer was at large backed by a nefarious group of murderers - it made his blood run cold. Vengeance was the only thing that gave his life meaning. He couldn't let his father's death go unanswered. His rage made him not want to help Spiral at all now, to let her feel the same anger coursing through him. But Spiral didn't answer him. She just stepped through a portal and left after telling them they had to play along.

He grabbed his bow from the ground, his throat feeling oddly constricted. He needed some outlet for this anger and knowing that Spiral had screwed up everything for him, he didn't want to do anything to help Longshot. He didn't want to play along with all of this. He wanted to scream and run off in a huff. In the stages of grief, he had skipped denial and gone straight to anger. He didn't care that Longshot was associated with the X-Men. He wanted Madalyn Pryor's head on a pike and now he knew she wasn't even suffering. Spiral could have thrown her in jail. She could have tied her up at the bottom of a well.

But instead, the devil was free, still breathing - and Arthur's father was rotting six feet under.

"If Longshot is so lucky, then he shouldn't need us," Watts grumbled. He didn't like this situation at all and he didn't want to play along with Mojo's games. But he also enjoyed living and he had to get back to Earth - he had to get back to his kids. Leda had her mother and her grandparents, but Stephen was all alone. He hated the thought of Stephen thinking he had been abandoned. The only other person they had found stuck in this reality was the evil kids show villain, so Watts assumed that was Longshot - the person keeping him away from his kids and preventing him from finding a solution to Andrew's predicament.

He nodded. Casey was right, he figured. "That's him - there's no one else around, we're in the middle of BEEP nowhere." With time frozen, he decided to take advantage of that fact and reposition himself. He ran around the sentinel until he was behind it, figuring that he might be able to nag Longshot and take down the robots better from that vantage point. He had his speed anyways to help him. And then they just needed to find an exit and get home.

Guin Stark

Location: Galactus' Ship (Team 1)
Skills: Telepathy
"Pluto's only a dwarf planet, we need to send something meatier at him," Guin joked. "Maybe Jupiter. I think it'd have a good crunch to it, leave Galactus satisfied and smiling." Of course, she was also certain that removing a gigantic planetary body would most likely have long term repercussions for the Earth. The cosmic physics might alter to such an extent as to change the orbit of the Earth around the sun - she'd have to do the math to confirm her hunch, however. Allison's concern was compelling too though - Pluto was probably just an appetizer.

She raised an eyebrow, hearing that the Silver Surfer had powers over illusions. "So we are going to be fighting a roid raging magician?" she scoffed. "Does he do birthday parties?" she asked Warlock, not expecting a serious response from him. He was cute, acting like a toddler. The fact that he was a robot didn't bother her too much - she had been partially raised by an AI after all. She peered through the gigantic windows they were passing in the observation area of sorts that they had entered. She could see a few more aliens, some of them looking almost birdlike. The predator lookalike sent a shiver down her spine.

We could book him for the wedding, Guin nudged Pietro, trying not to let herself wallow in uneasiness. It felt like it had been an eternity since they started looking for the Herald but also at the same time hardly seconds.

Bad joke there Guina, Pietro said with a small laugh.

I'm serious! He even has a stage name and I bet Galactus could be a reference for him.

Neil Spellman

Location: Galactus' Ship (Team 3)
Skills: N/A
"They are kinda cute," Neil agreed with Sara. He kept expecting the Lorax somehow to burst out from among the tree people and lecture them all about sustainable living habits. The ents only seemed to be capable of saying one sentence, with Neil having trouble detecting any variations in tone or meaning. Mira was probably right, that they were somehow saying more - like how cats were conveying different messages when meowing - but he didn't hear it. They had returned his wave and they hadn't attacked, so maybe they were friendly?

He flinched slightly as one of them poked Sara, but it didn't seem like they meant any harm by it. They brought him over a bowl of water with some herbs floating in it as well. "Uh, thank you," Neil said awkwardly, accepting the bowl of water. His gut was telling him that it probably wasn't poisoned. They seemed nice and friendly. "We're trying to get through to the other side," he said, hoping the ents would part to allow them passage through. He forced a smile and took a tentative sip of the water from the bowl. "Could we pass, Groot?" he asked, assuming that might have been the tribe name of these ents or something of the sort.

With Mira's voice so hoarse, they were already at a disadvantage if they needed to fight their way on through the ents.

The Kingdom of Attilan - the Moon: February 14th, 2021 - 10:40 A.M.

Bonnie Chase and Raynor Blake

Location: Outside the Palace -> the Palace
Skills: Trivia Knowledge

Crystal gave Cass a sharp look. "We were," she snapped. "Thanos sent his Black Order." The haughty princess did snort however at Maria's explanation to Oliver as to what was happening to him. "I already have had my genetic potential fulfilled," she told Oliver. "The terrigen mists cannot bring out anything more for me."

Bonnie frowned slightly at Oliver's apology to Matt. It was a pretty weak one in her opinion. She had already said her piece about Oliver's recklessness, as had just about everyone else here. Given what happened to the last agent to be that irresponsible, she had to wonder if Oliver would still be an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. by the end of the day. Maybe Oliver was the next Novikova. She gave Goose another pet, hoping that he wasn't about to jump out of her arms to "play" with the inhuman dog. She was fairly certain Goose would end up eating Lockjaw and she didn't think that would be the best for a diplomatic mission. "I'm sorry," Bonnie said, expressing her sympathy to Crystal. "Who is Thanos? What did he want?"

The group then entered the palace. The palace interior largely consisted of black marble floors, white stone walls, and numerous statues of inhuman royals. Each statue was adorned with a simple placard with strange symbols - seemingly identifying the individual depicted. One of the statues they passed had a striking resemblance to Crystal, depicting her as wielding the four elements as if she was the Avatar. "Thanos is one of the eternals," Raynor answered Bonnie gruffly. "Not the Midgardian ones." As far as Raynor knew, Thanos was from Titan. He hadn't seen anything about the eternals come up in a long time and he had little to no idea who the Black Order were, beyond guessing from context clues that they worked for Thanos and they were hardly friendly.

"He's the Mad Titan," Crystal said bitterly. "He demanded a tribute to spare Attilan - the heads of those between 26 and 30 Earth years of age."

The blood drained from Bonnie's face. A horrible idea was forming in her mind. The Earth wasn't very far from Attilan - since Attilan was just on the Moon. Was Thanos going to do the same thing to the Earth? She tried to imagine the death toll they would face if all of those between 26 and 30 were killed at once for some titan. Millions of people would be slaughtered. She was certain that the terrigen mists in their atmosphere had to be connected somehow. Was it to give everyone with an inhuman gene a fighting chance? "...That's horrible," Bonnie said softly. "Is there anything we can do to help?"

They entered what appeared to be a throne room. Seated was an elegant woman with lengthy red hair. Her locks were slowly moving as if they were alive. On closer inspection, her purple form fitting suit was blood stained. There was a nasty gash on her head. The throne room around her was partially caved in. As much as she radiated strength, the Queen of the Inhumans was grieving. Black Bolt was dead - the King was dead.

"Are you the one in charge?" Raynor asked, feeling antsy. "Look, it's simple. What the hell did we do to deserve you bombing us with terrigen?" he accused. "I get it, it sucks, Thanos' goons came here and killed Black Bolt and probably a lot of other people... But why take that out on the Earth? Why poison all of our mutants and give powers to idiots like Oliver? No offense, but the world was better off when he was just a dweeb and not a super powered dweeb."

"That's no way to address a queen," Medusa scolded, rising to her feet. Her hair was fluttering around her. "Who are you?"

"They're flatscans from Earth," Crystal answered her sister, walking up to her. "Two of them are inhuman."

"I see..." Medusa paused, sighing slightly. It had been a long day. She wanted to mourn. "Very well. I was the one to flood the Earth with the terrigen mists - to give our people a fighting chance. The inhumans of Earth don't stand a chance against the Black Order without powers... I will not allow them to be massacred. No more."

Suddenly, the train lurched to a halt. The compartment lights flickered off for a brief moment, before becoming illuminated once more. Everything was bathed in a ghastly green glow. The compartment doors all slid open, a silent whoosh traveling across the train. The air then began to crackle, as if some sort of static electric charge was building up all at once.

"Pardon 'he in'errup'ion, folks," the conductor's voice boomed in an atrociously thick cockney accent, filling all of the compartments at once. "Some auraws from 'he ministry are 'ere 'o make sure every'hin is safe. It'll be a few befawe we con'inue on 'o 'ogsmeade s'a'ion."

The trolley witch grimaced. She had hoped with the downfall of You-Know-Who there would be fewer instances of aurors stopping the Hogwarts Express to search the train for fugitives - it always upset the children. But she also knew better than to protest. If there were dark wizards on the train, she'd rather the aurors chased them out before they reached the village. "All of you, get in your compartments, nothing to fuss about," she said.

Within compartment 15, Barnaby Lee glanced up and couldn't help but be surprised to see Elizabeth wanting to join in. She hadn't exactly been the kindest person to him during his time at Hogwarts. "Uh, sure, come on in?" he said, looking a little bit confused. With the exception of Andre, the other players that had gone out to get food had returned to the compartment.

Paige Atwell

Location: Compartment 13
Magic: N/A

Hearing the conductor's announcement and then the trolley witch's instructions to get back into their compartments, Andre decided to take a leap of faith. Rather than returning to his own compartment to keep on playing Exploding Snap, he entered compartment 13 and took a seat next to Zelda. "You know, I could always make a costume for Goose," Andre mused. "I fancy he'd be a smashing mascot for the team."

Paige rolled her eyes slightly. She knew that Zelda had a crush on Andre and had she anywhere else to go, she would have scooped up Hestia and headed into a different compartment. She almost wished that Merula would come back, as it least it would give her somewhere else to talk to. But she took her seat again in compartment 13 and picked up her n-melt ice cream, taking it out of the plastic packaging and licking the cone as she tried to think about anything but Andre and Zelda flirting in here while she was stuck at the third wheel.

The news that aurors were searching the train was enough to occupy her mind for now. In her opinion, only an idiot would come to the conclusion that they were looking for anything other than the escaped Death Eaters. Maybe Zelda's parents were about to board. They were nice enough, since Paige had met them a few times during summer holidays. "You two chat Quidditch and dresses all you want - I'm chuffed with this," Paige said, licking her cone as she dug her diary out of her bag and began to write an entry. It was pure stream of consciousness, as well as pure anxiety over the thought that maybe dark wizards were on the train.

Maybe her brother was here.

Maybe the aurors would question her and rumors would spread about how she had a dark mark underneath her robes.

Hestia meowed, butting her head softly up against Paige's hand, causing her quill to fly across the page and ink smeared on the side of her palm. "Hessie, why..." she grumbled. The unnatural green light caused Zelda's skunk streak to look mint-green and the pages of Paige's diary to seem mossy.

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Oak Park
Skills: N/A

Megan thought for a moment whether or not to mention those heading to the diner. As much as she would have liked to give more information to the officer, she didn't want to throw them under the bus. They were annoying, but they didn't deserve to get caught up in a police investigation. "No, I was a bit distracted by the explosion," Megan lied. Her brother was on the way and once Jack got here, they could head to the address indicated on the card. They'd figure out more about this together - and hopefully he would be able to ditch Isabella in the process.

"Please don't touch anything, it'll be a nightmare to process the scene if you do," Megan couldn't help but comment. "Forensics should be the only ones handling things here, unless you want to come back as a result for the killer." Sure, the office hadn't started to touch anything yet but Megan felt it was only a matter of time. People couldn't help themselves in these situations in her experience. She could have offered him some gloves, but she didn't want to encourage it.
