Guin Stark

Location: Galactus' Ship - Central Room
Skills: Telepathy, Electronics and Computers
Elizabeth definitely earned herself an invite to the wedding, Guin couldn't help but comment as one of the newest members of the X-Men managed to repair Pietro's feet. Agreed. It was something closer to alchemy than science, but she wasn't about to correct her on that. Alchemy was a precursor to chemistry anyways. She was right about one thing though - this wasn't supposed to be a fight that they could win. The anger and rage at the Surfer hurting Pietro and her friends was fueling Guin at the moment, feeding into her confidence. They were going to find a way to win this - they just needed to be clever.

"Wait - don't!" Guin shouted as Beth told Sara to copy her power and use it to go into the containment device around the nullifier. Sara was rather petite, but the nullifier was extremely small and it wasn't that large of a case around it - would she even fit? Guin winced, instinctively closing her eyes slightly as she didn't want to witness Sara's death. She opened them again a second later, relieved to see that Sara was outside of the containment case. The Surfer had saved her. Her stomach felt a bit like it was twisted up in knots. If Sara had died that way... it would have been a brutal way to go.

She bit her lip slightly. Pietro didn't have much luck phasing through to grab the device either. A shockwave then flew Guin backwards and she slammed against the ground. Even though she had an Iron Man suit on, it was still enough of an impact that her back would likely be bruised for days. As she lifted her head and forced herself back up to her feet, she could see Thor trying to shatter the case and Lance - no, the Hulk - fighting the Surfer hand to hand. Mira managed to take down the containment field and Guin broke out into a grin - now they just needed to grab the thing and ask Mister Fantastic to beam them out of there.

"Shit! I've got this, everyone else focus on getting the device or backing up Hulk Jr!" Guin shouted, rushing over to Mira. Her vital signs were incredibly low and Guin wasn't a doctor. However, she knew a few things about the heart. Her father still had a glorified pacemaker of his own - the arc reactor - keeping him alive. Pepper and Happy had made sure she knew a few quick solutions to try growing up, just in case something happened. "Alright, to correct a pacemaker I need to find a way to give you external pulses," she mumbled. "Luckily for you, you're encased in Stark tech, which happens to be my mother tongue..."

She then started accessing her heads up display panel, quickly working to send command code to Mira's suit. It took her a few seconds, but she managed to get the electric pulses running. The vital scans then showed that Mira's heart rate was beginning to recover. "Alright, rhythm seems to be restored..."

Neil Spellman

Location: Galactus' Ship - Central Room
Skills: Minor Molecular Combustion, Telekinesis
Neil's chest constricted painfully as he watched Sara copy Beth's abilities and shadow travel her way inside of the containment case. He couldn't make himself look away, seeing how she was trapped in a space too small for her to occupy - but there was then a silver blur and their enemy, of all people, had saved her. He let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding, his hands trembling as he realized that he had watched his girlfriend almost die. The mission became all the more real to him. This wasn't just a danger room exercise. The Silver Surfer was most likely the most powerful foe the X-Men had faced.

His fear only increased as Lance, the Hulk, went on a rampage against the Silver Surfer. Did Lance know who was his enemy? Would the Hulk turn on them and start pounding easier targets? Neil wanted to run away, to steal a pod and escape to some other planet. He was just a kid expected to save the world. He could scarcely breathe as Annie pointed out that they could grab the device and its containment case now. He didn't want Sara or anyone else to try traveling inside of it again. He didn't want to think about the likelihood that Mira was going to die right now, with her pacemaker failing.

"I've got it." Neil concentrated, ripping the device and its case over towards him with his telekinesis. As soon as the case was in his hand, he used his control over combustion to blow the cage apart, allowing him to retrieve the nullifier from within. Without a moment's hesitation, he aimed the device at the Silver Surfer. "Stand down," he said, trying his best to sound confident and stern. "Or I'll use this."

Raynor Blake

Location: the Quinjet
Skills: Small Aircraft Piloting

"No, no he did this!" Raynor snapped, refuting Maria's notion that Sparky had been exposed on Earth. He couldn't have ruled it out. It was just easier for him to blame this on Oliver, rather than acknowledge that Sparky could have been dying far earlier. Oliver was someone for him to hate - someone for him to brutalize in revenge. He didn't even respond to Matt's request for them to punch Oliver later, although Raynor was intending on doing far more than just punching the new agent.

"Right, because the people of Cardiff need someone so fucking selfish that they couldn't wait a damn minute for everyone else to get suited up!" Raynor raged. In his opinion, the people of Cardiff would most likely be better off without Oliver going anywhere near them. How many times had they been warned to be careful with the Terrigen Mist? How could someone be so careless as to expose their entire team? It made him miss Novikova. She had hurt people and doomed the world, but at least her methods made sense.

He took a huffy breath, admittedly comforted a little bit by the fact that Tinley threatened to blast Oliver out into space. He approved of that option. And as Tempest gave her diagnosis, Raynor just wanted to scream at the universe again. He knew why Tempest felt Sparky's case was different - she wasn't an ordinary mutant. Her biological father's condition made sure of that. He stared at her, wanting to drag her to a hospital, but would they be able to help her?

"Fine," he told Sparky, piloting the quinjet now as they left the surface of the Moon and he plotted a course for Cardiff. "But after this is all over, we're going to see Dr. Pym. And then I'm going to call in a favor and get Dr. Banner to look at you too. The radiation in the Quantum Realm might have something to do with this." The very last bit was a white lie. He knew that it was gamma radiation that was the problem.

Bonnie Chase

Location: the Mirror Dimension
Skills: N/A

"Yes, it is remarkably similar to the processes that Spirit uses with her mutant abilities," Strange commented. He knew very well who Carolina Reed was, yet it wasn't due to her status as a member of the X-Men as most would suspect. She had been unfortunately caught up in a scheme plotted by the demon Mephistopheles prior to the tragedy of Altsoba - a school for those with unnatural talents. Her presence in Coventry during Hel's brief rise to power also drew the attention of the sorcerers.

"Your condition will continue to worsen here - yet at a linear rate, rather than the exponential one you had been experiencing," Strange explained. "As your doctor, I must recommend that you stay in the mirror dimension."

Bonnie's head was spinning slightly - mostly due to the ever changing nature of their surroundings. It was like they were working on Cass' health inside of a kaleidoscope. She couldn't help but feel powerless to aid her best friend. Her thoughts couldn't help but go back to the Ultron incident. She wished they could just turn back time to save Cass, but what if doing so destroyed the world again? She couldn't choose Cass over the human race. "Your magic - there has to be some treatment for her, something," Bonnie reasoned. "Even if it's just something that can alleviate her symptoms... Like her lifeforce, can we somehow... put it back in her? Or could I give her some of mine, like a transfusion?"

"Some beings do feed off of the life force of others - psychic vampires is the term for them. What you are proposing is not unheard of, but just as not all blood types are compatible, the same is true for life forces," Strange answered. "What species are you, doctor? Mutant? Inhuman?"

"I'm human."

"Ordinary, then," he sighed slightly. He then reached forward and took Bonnie's wrist, scratching it with his fingers. Bonnie gasped a bit, not accustomed to the strange chilling sensation that took place. Her wrist began to glow slightly as some of her life force was exposed, allowing Strange to examine to see if she was a suitable donor for Cass.

"Well? Is there a magical... blood typing test?" Bonnie asked, pressuring the sorcerer as much as she could. She wanted to save her best friend. If using her life force would help Cass, then she wasn't going to hesitate. It also meant that if they could somehow cure Cass, they might be able to produce a cure for others and eliminate the threat that M-Pox posed not just to mutants, but to the world.

"You're in luck - you match perfectly," Strange said. He then waved his hand and life force from Bonnie seemed to travel through the air, heading into Cass' body. As the transfer process occurred, the symptoms of M-Pox were dramatically decreased in Cass. "You're no ordinary human, Dr. Chase."

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Oak Park
Skills: N/A

"Supposedly, more than we know about ourselves," Megan said softly as she drove. An old cold case came to mind though - the disappearance of Bobby Dunbar. "In the early 1900's, this kid went missing in Louisiana... Bobby Dunbar. They looked everywhere for him and couldn't find him. Eventually, they found some other boy and more or less convinced him that he was Bobby. It was only recently, practically a hundred years later, that DNA testing proved he wasn't the missing kid... But this kid, he said something that I think is beautiful and a little bit haunting, to one of his grandkids. I know who I am, and I know who you are."

"I know that you're my brother - maybe not by blood - and I know that I'm me... So no matter what we find out from the wizard, that's all that matters," Megan concluded. It was practically perfect timing as she reached their destination. It was an old, decrepit building - the sort that drug addicts and the homeless would end up seeking out for shelter. What little paint it had was peeling off to reveal the brickwork underneath. "We're here," Megan announced, parking the car in front of the building. "Are you ready?" she asked her brother, turning in her seat to look at him. She clicked the red release button for her seat belt.

Washington D.C.: September 10th, 2020 - 3:30 PM

The Luxury - the Washington D.C. Waterfront...

"Oh please, you want to help the humans? They aren't worth the time or effort, everyone would be better off without them," the Scarlet Witch scoffed.

The Three in One nodded their heads in agreement, disembarking from the yacht. "They're agents of mutant suffering," the girls explained in unison. "If humans were fundamentally good, then we wouldn't exist. They made us to be weapons, to hunt and kill and destroy." They then turned all at once, looking back at everyone, those on and off of the yacht. The humans had killed two of their sisters. They had plans to rectify that - plans that Leighton and Ana would help with, whether they wished to or not.

"I'm not here to kill humans. I'm here to save mutants," Polaris said strongly. "But if you two are here because you want to help humanity, you'd be better off with the X-Men," she told Leighton and Max. "Xavier's team rarely helps mutants anymore. Just humans."

"Humans aren't worth the trouble, how many of us do they have to kill before you naive children learn that?" Wanda asked them, and she seemed to be sticking around, and was going to head back with them. Polaris had disembarked the yacht and with a flick of her wrist, the sewer grate cover opened up again for them. They'd return to headquarters the same way they had come - through the Morlock Tunnels.

"They're too young to know suffering," the Three in One said. "Leighton only realized she was a mutant this week," they added, their eyes glowing bright blue. "And Maximilian dreams of being a superhero."

"Oh please, I learned what humans were capable of when I was a lot younger than them. And if you want to be a superhero and help humans, I can't help but agree with Lorna. Go run off and join the X-Men like my brother did."

Polaris' body language shifted, the sewer grate bending abruptly in half. "Don't call me Lorna."

"Then don't call me Wanda."

Polaris descended into the tunnels. "Fair enough, Scarlet Witch."

Aboveground - Mutant Underground Hideout...

"Respect his boundary, Casper," Ben said in a dry, almost disinterested tone. "Not everyone uses heroin to solve their problems. And not everyone should."

Casper sighed slightly. He really just wanted to comfort his brother. He knew better than anyone what it was like to have a monster for a father. Casper had been grappling with that his entire life, whereas Jack found out less than a few hours ago. Maybe what Jack needed was to go home to New Orleans, to confront their mother about her horrible life choices. "You don't wanna talk about it, we don't have to," Casper said.

Ben was surprised - and a bit proud.

"We'll get some rum doughnuts and maybe we can watch YouTube videos on the computer at your office... But I think afterwards, we should come back here... My father is evil and horrible, but... There's this really cute guy here. I'm going to be honest. That's most of my motivation for wanting to stay. He seems super sweet and I bet he's a power bottom, too."

"Eww, Casper!"

The Dining Room - Mutant Underground Hideout...

"So, seems as if Emma has found her niece then," Xavier mused, before looking over at Cayden's response. "That is not too surprising, Shaw is well connected and Sinister has ways of appearing to be someone he is not and tricking others to do his bidding rather easily. As for David... If you do come across him, be careful, as his powers are not exactly... Stable... And neither is his personality... As for the files, see about sending them to the mansion if you could."

Veil nodded, her arms still folded. She didn't like this at all. Jack turned out to be the son of Mister Sinister. Casper was the son of Professor X. Leighton was the niece of Emma Frost. She half expected Max to turn out to be the son of the Scarlet Witch somehow at this rate - it was all too connected. The Washington D.C. Mutant Underground cell had never been this... connected before, even with Havok around. "What do you want us to do next, X?" Veil then asked, mentally proceeding to the next order of business.

"Da... Do you want us to continue shepherding mutants to other cities? Or concentrate on Emma Frost?" Colossus asked.

"Do not get involved if you can't help it. Report any information you come across. The Underground is primarily meant to help mutants escape to other cities where the laws and such aren't quite so bad as they are in certain areas. Continuing doing that, you all have done well so far with it, so keep going, there are people out there who do need you, more than ever considering the Purifiers marching today especially."

She wasn't entirely surprised to hear that was Professor X's directive - they weren't the X-Men. They didn't have the skills or training to take down sinister plots. At best, they took mutants to safety and delivered information to Xavier that they overheard around the country. At worst, they ended up running from the police themselves, trying just to make it by another day. "Alright. We'll have the information we gathered sent to you soon. And we'll look out for your other son."

Medical (Room 10, Second Floor) - Mutant Underground Hideout...

Havok sighed, his shoulders sinking slightly. He hated not knowing if Lorna was okay or not. He knew that she was more than capable of taking care of herself, but he knew her. Her bipolar disorder could cause havoc on her life, for lack of a better term. Had it been a manic frenzy that caused her to leave the Atlanta Station? Had her father come after her with another telepath in an attempt to brainwash her to join the Brotherhood? Why hadn't she reached out to him? "Do you think you could keep an eye out for her?" Havok asked. "I'm worried this might be a... well, a Magneto related incident."

"Sure thing, I'll let you know if I hear anything," Cyclops said, giving his brother a smile before he heard Waverly's comment and he couldn't help but chuckle slightly at that. "Yeah, last I checked I was Cyclops, it hasn't changed for a while, but usually I'm fine with people nowadays just calling me Scott or something since I kind of went away from the whole superhero thing, but when the Professor mentioned that he was heading down to DC I took the opportunity to come by and see my little brother and what trouble he's causing and getting into. Xavier is talking to Veil about everything that has happened regarding Sinister and Shaw and a few other things."

Sunshine paused in her devouring of the pizza for a moment, staring at Cyclops for a moment. She knew that a cyclops was only supposed to have one eye - but he had two. His ruby shades had two lenses, meaning he had two eyes. "Why's your name Cyclops if you have more than one eye? Shouldn't you be called Normal Number of Eyes Man? It'd make more sense," she argued. She then took another gigantic bite of her pizza, not even beginning to feel full yet. She had the appetite of a teenage boy after gym class.

"Because..." he said to her, before he reached into his pocket and pulled out something that would definitely be more familiar from any pictures that generally were shown of the X-Men, and it was his visor. "When I wear this all you see is one eye. My powers make it a bit difficult to not be wearing something covering my eyes, and the visor was made specifically for me to be able to shoot the beams through it in a concentrated blast. If I wasn't wearing these glasses right now and had my eyes open I'd do a whole lot of damage to this place without really trying."

"If only there was a visor so we wouldn't have to see you at all..." Negasonic muttered under her breath, still playing on her phone.

"She does have a point - is that an option, Scott?" Havok asked with a smirk.

Sunshine finished her pizza, still looking at Cyclops as she tried to decide whether or not that was stupid. "So if you have that visor on, do you just blink or something to stop the beam? Do you see everything red? If you had to find someone with red hair, do you just panic and ask one of the other X-Geeks to do it? Do you know what green is?" Sunshine asked, before trying to swipe the visor to look at it.

Cyclops easily held the visor up above Sunshine's head so she couldn't mess with it. "Haha Alex, at least I don't use my powers by looking like I'm using a hoola hoop!" he retorted with a laugh at his brother, before thinking about Sunshine's questions. "I do actually know what colors look like, I didn't always have to wear the red lenses. As for wearing the visor and using my powers, there is a button on the side that I can use for manual operation to activate it, which honestly is the way I typically use it, but if I'm ever suited up there is a small switch in the gloves that I have that allow me to fire it off. But back to the whole colors thing and about finding someone with red hair, my wife is a red head, so not too sure what you mean by that, since I can still see everything in the world clearly."

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈 and ✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III
Skills: N/A

Rebecca smiled brightly as Demetri inquired about her craft. Not very many demigods beyond the children of Hecate attempted to learn the ways of magic and the mist. There was no rule against teaching them however, as far as she was aware the main sources of reluctance were a lack of innate ability or the time and dedication it took to mastering the craft. "If you are asking if I could teach you magic, then I would be delighted," Rebecca answered him at a whisper. "Come to my cabin this evening. I imagine since you are a changeling, you likely will have the aptitude for the craft."

She couldn't help but grin a bit wickedly as he thanked her for not skinning him at the end of the tour. "Don't thank me yet," she warned him ominously, just messing with his mind. That was something she was fond of, something that had once upon a time endeared her to Leda. Her mind wandered over towards Mona's question. In her experience, there never really were a usual sort of monster. They always came in great variety and numbers. Sure, aerial based ones would make sense given their location, but even then there were thousands of options as far as she was aware.

"Joint promise," Leda whispered to Mary. She then rose her voice to a normal volume. "I'll see about doing some preliminary prayers, sacrifice some food to Zeus and the other minor gods of the sky... That should help us at least with their threats. Unless of course some of them decided not to play Team Olympus in this debacle," she added, thinking aloud a bit at the end there. Not all gods were thrilled with Olympus - especially the minor ones. She couldn't blame them. They were often overlooked and mistreated. Sometimes they even faded away into nothingness. Her own mother, the messenger of the gods, hadn't even had a cabin at Camp Halfblood for too long.

Of course, her mind flickered back to Zeus. She really hoped the presence of his two children on the Argo III would be enough to keep him from slamming them with a lightning bold, but they also had a child of Poseidon on board. That wouldn't help at all. She didn't want to get stuck with the worst cabin though, so she hurried off to go find one to move into. She hoped it would have a window at least, that way she could have a nice view. Rebecca went off to select one as well.

⚡John Watts⚡ and 🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Smallville?
Skills: Molecular Oscillation
"I don't like anyone in my lab either," Watts agreed with Evelyn. He assumed it had been a Freudian slip for her to say lap instead. In his experience, letting someone into his lab was a lot like taking a small child into a glassblowing museum. It just set the child up for failure. How could they be expected to understand the fragility of everything around them? Would they know that the heat of the blow torch would burn them? It was much the same for those at Serval Industries. They didn't know what could be touched, what had to be avoided at all costs. He didn't even allow his own children into his lab on visits, even his son who wanted to pursue a career in the sciences.

Arthur hesitated for a brief second, before accepting Casey's hand and he rose to his feet. "Thank you," he told her curtly. The tide of the battle had yet to switch to their side. Longshot was problematic, but so was the inexperience of the group. He saw Elara's weapon knock both Andrew and Watts down, rather than hitting their foe. He sighed, looking down for a brief moment. The odd child's suit was sparking more and more. Arthur's inherent distrust and dislike for technology advised him to stay clear. That suit was going to blow. One of Longshot's shurikens hit him in the shoulder and Arthur grunted with pain, but it wasn't the worst he had experienced in his life.

"Andrew! Get out, now!" Watts snapped, fearing for his friend's life. This was another situation where he felt the little boy was set up for failure. Just as children shouldn't be allowed to pilot a fighter jet, they also shouldn't be given advanced weaponry to wear. It took him two tries, but he managed to vibrate the molecules fast enough that he phased Andrew out of the suit, freeing him. The suit fell to the ground and Watts looked at the sparking contraption, getting an idea. He wanted to keep Andrew away from the thing. He wanted to hit Longshot.

He yeeted the suit, only to fall short of hitting Longshot.

Arthur realized what the yellow speedster was thinking. It wasn't a bad idea. The suit looked like a ticking time bomb. He darted forward and picked up the sparking mess (Watts hadn't managed to throw it far at all). With practiced ease from years of surviving alone on a monstrous island, Arthur threw the suit at Longshot. The suit exploded on impact with Longshot, blasting him backwards. Their foe was still conscious, but he was in poor condition.

Guin Stark

Location: Galactus' Ship - Central Room
Skills: Telepathy
Bethany's powers were shut off? Their situation went from bad to horrible in a second. But that wasn't the worst of it - Pietro's feet were turned to stone. Their speedster was crippled. Iris' schizophrenic fire power show didn't even really do anything at all to the casing around the Nullifier. Guin's head was still pounding, but it was to the point where she could finally think and feel again. Her primary emotion? Beyond the shock of seeing Lance start to go green? Rage. "Like hell are we just going to lie down and let your boss destroy the planet!" Guin shouted at the Silver Surfer.

"My whole damn life, I've been told what I can't do. You can't join SHIELD, you're too young. You can't fight the Brotherhood and go toe to toe with a hot speedster, you have no powers. You can't stop a sentinel, your powers are too lame. You can't stop Mesmero, his psychic powers are too much. You can't fucking fight, go hide in a closet! Well I've got news for your pal, I've done all of those things! I don't need powers to be a pain your ass! I never have! And I'm not going to stop because I'm with my fucking family right now and I swear, I'm going to beat you. I can do this all fucking day!" Guin screamed. "And once I'm done, I'm going to take my fiancé to the beach and we're gonna do it. Because we're not going to stop. And by the way, he pulls off silver waaaaay better than you, you piece of shit!"

...Wow that was an interesting rant Guina...

Guin quickly fiddled with her repulsors, charging them up to the max. They were glowing with energy, overflowing almost. She then used the propulsion system of her suit and flew straight at the Silver Surfer, a human cannonball, as she then reached her hands out as two fists and knocked him backwards, hard. There was a BOOM! when she connected with him, her repulsor gauntlets smoking from the power she had just used against him. "I don't need any powers to do that to you again and again and again, Chrome Dome!" Guin shouted. "We're not surrendering. So it's either you step aside or we go through you."

Guina please calm down a little bit, Pietro said to her mentally, starting to more or less use the mental link to try and calm her.

He turned your feet into stone! Guin argued. I think I'm entitled to using my rage. It worked for the Empire! The Sith!

Sith is bad! Bad bad bad!

Okay, but it works for the Hulk too!

...Not sure if Banner is a good example of that working either...

....Your sister?

Still not the best example either.

Harry Potter did it once! To defend McGonagall!

I feel like you are just looking for excuses...

Are your feet okay?

I mean yeah, considering the fact that I can't move, they are doing decently well.

This guy freaking sucks.

Oh yeah no, figured that out fairly quickly.

Neil Spellman

Location: Galactus' Ship - Central Room
Skills: Minor Molecular Combustion, Telekinesis
"It's Spellman," Neil corrected Iris. She was so confusing. But she also did seem to be fun - maybe he'd invite her to join the DnD group after this was all over. Every group did need a bard, after all. His eyes widened though, seeing that puny little Banner was turning green. There were two powerhouses in the world that scared Neil more than anything else - the Hulk and the Juggernaut. His nightmares usually consisted of a fusion between the two of them if he had eaten too much sugar during the day - the Hulkernaut.

Mira was talking about how they needed to disarm the security system. He tried to blow up the undamaged console, but nothing happened. And he was probably lucky that nothing happened. He didn't really want Mira to yell at him if that turned out to be the wrong choice. But then again, what else could they really do in this room? Neil then spotted the surfboard. His mind was going a mile a minute, especially since the Surfer had hurt Sara. He hated that. Maybe the only thing they could use to get to the device was going to be something else from this ship - like destroying like.

Using his telekinesis and the fact that Guin had knocked the Surfer back, Neil managed to fly the surfboard over to himself. He got up and sprinted to the case, hitting the case with the surfboard in an attempt to damage it enough to open it up, but it was futile. The surfboard flew out of his hands and went back over to the Surfer, like a lost puppy running to its owner. "Sara, you okay?"

Lionel maneuvered his way into the next compartment, checking around. Callum came running back just in time to be busted. "Now see here," Lionel began, "You can't just run off. For all we know there are Death Eaters onboard, what." Callum shrugged. "Thought I saw something, turned out to be nothing, mate." Lionel stroked his beard in ponderance. He didn't fully believe the young Scottish man, but he had no evidence to the contrary. "Well..press on then. And keep an eye on the ladies, yes?" Lionel meant that as a sign of distrust, but Callum merely grinned. "Oh, I always do, mate." With a pat on Lionel's shoulder, Callum returned to check the nearest cabin, which was 16.

Burke made her way out compartment 20, rolling her eyes slightly as she overheard what Lionel said to Callum. She elected to take it more as a sign of concern rather than distrust. "It's 1984 - the ladies can keep an eye on themselves."

Bonnie then came out of compartment 19, having thoroughly checked it out. "I don't want to know," she said with a sigh, shaking her head. She spotted her husband go into compartment 15 and she moved along, peaking into compartment 13 and she couldn't help but smile slightly.

"Hello, luv," she greeted her daughter. "Oh, sorry, I'm Zelda's mum - you can call me Mrs. Flynn," Bonnie introduced herself to Andre.

"Isn't it a bit early to be meeting your parents?" Andre teased Zelda with a bit of a wink. "Charming to meet you, Mrs. F."

Compartment 1 -

"I just hope she isn't too bad of an influence on Bea... She's awfully impressionable," Penny lamented, looking down slightly. She was comforted though that Fae was in the same compartment as her sister - she might not be able to hex a Death Eater, but she could certainly beat them with her fists. "An invisibility potion? Those aren't too difficult... If I had a chicken on hand, I could probably brew one."

"It's not Merula," Talbott disagreed, shaking his head dismissively. He wasn't going to be dissuaded from the idea that there were dark wizards on the Hogwarts Express. He had his wand at the ready as he stared at the doorway, waiting for a fight.

"But yes, we should go after this - I'd love for you to meet Bea. If she's in Gryffindor, you'll watch over her, won't you?" Penny asked. "Keep her out of trouble?"

Paige Atwell

Location: Compartment 15
Magic: N/A

Frederick checked on compartment 17, making sure it was clear, before stopping by compartment 15 and hearing the conversation inside. "Well, that could be the case, however," he said to the group, looking at them before he sprayed the mist into the room and nothing happened. "That's not the case, and just because someone is related to a Death Eater means nothing. We make our own choices in the world. Otherwise, I'd be a Death Eater instead of an Auror if that sort of thinking was true. And who knows? That sort of thinking and those sort of comments might make that more likely to happen if you aren't careful and don't give people a chance. Anyway, name's Frederick Flynn, how's it going? Oh, and Paige, you left your sweater at our house, do you want me to send it to you at school or do you want me to send it to your mom?" he said, turning to look at Paige and giving her a smile.

Paige's blood was boiling. She had been so chuffed to see Barnaby, swooning a little bit from his hug. And then, it all had to be ruined by Fae Mintfree. She was the worst witch Hogwarts had ever produced. But if there was something that got underneath Paige's skin more than anything else, it was the accusation that she would grow up to be a dark witch like her brother. Zelda's auror father being here barely managed to cool her temper and her rage.

"Paige can stay - if you don't like that, then you can leave, Mintfree," Barnaby said. Paige was his friend - good friend, even. Beatrice and the other girl were relatively quiet, although since Paige was good friends with Penny, Beatrice was looking at Fae and seeming confused.

"...If you could send it to school, that'd be fine..." Paige said. It took every ounce of self control for her to not turn and cast a nasty hex at Fae. Yet even with the auror standing in front of her, she couldn't help but tell Fae off. "You know what's sick about you, Mintfree? You spend all your time worrying about me when you should just focus on yourself. Maybe you wouldn't be failing so many classes if you minded your own damn business!"

Raynor Blake

Location: the Quinjet
Skills: Small Aircraft Piloting, Light Manipulation

Raynor didn't see a point in chastising Medusa about fighting alongside the inhumans down on Earth - from what they had seen on Attilan, Medusa had already tried fighting the Black Order. She had failed. The fact that they hadn't seen anyone besides her and her sister spoke volumes. Sure, he hated them for what they had done to the mutants down on Earth... but he also recognized he would have done the same thing for Asgard. His heart constricted briefly at the very thought of it. He hadn't been able to save his planet, his people. He couldn't blame Medusa for failing to save hers.

Taking his seat in the pilot's chair, Raynor started pulling up the coordinates for Cardiff, Wales. It had been a while since he had gone to the United Kingdom. They had a lot of Brits on the team though, something he found amusing. From what he recalled, Cass, Oliver, Matt, and Tinley were all from the UK. He didn't have long to ponder this though. Sparky's news hit him like a bucket of ice to the groin. Every muscle of his froze, as terrifying flashbacks to seeing her body, dead and broken, came over him.

Had they changed the future just for him to lose her again?

"Tempest.... TEMPEST!" Raynor screamed, his voice hoarse and terrified. "Tempest, we need a medic, now!" He was physically shaking. He spotted Oliver and instantly, he knew that he was to blame. He had exposed everyone. Raynor tried to shape a ball of light in his hands, but the light dissipated almost instantly.

Fuck it. He tried again, sending a blast off at Oliver that hit the new inhuman in the chest. "You! You did this!" Raynor raged. "Give me one goddamn reason why I shouldn't rip your skull out of your head!"

Bonnie Chase

Location: Operating Room -> the Mirror Dimension
Skills: N/A

"No, you're going to check on her yourself. You're not going to die, Cass," Bonnie reassured her, gripping her friend's hand. Hardly any time passed between Cass' assent to being taken into the Mirror Dimension and Doctor Strange wielding his eldritch magic, drawing a circle in front of them with a peculiar ring on his finger. He then unceremoniously dragged the two girls on through and shut the door behind them. Everything was distorted in this realm, moving at odd paces and speeds. It looked like a mirror to the true reality, allowing Doctor Strange to place Cass on the operating table.

"Nurse, remove her suit - she won't need it. There's no Terrigen Mist in the Mirror Dimension," Strange instructed. He was making complex hand gestures, seemingly conjuring magical energy in the shape of tools.

"Nurse?" Bonnie objected. "I'm a doctor. I won't take disrespect from you, Strange," she snapped. But as much as she had to defend her principles, she also wanted to save her friend's life. She worked at getting the suit off of Cass as quickly as she could, starting with the helmet that way Cass wouldn't have to stare at its bloody coating. The rest of the suit was a little more difficult, with Bonnie having to tug it off of each of Cass' arms first and then her legs before she could remove it in full.

"Good, now I can assess the damage," Strange announced. He reached forward and pulled Cass' astral form out of her body, able to do so even within the Mirror Dimension. "I find that removing the astral form is more effective than using painkillers," he then mused. The strange instruments of pure magic that he had conjured were then inserted in through Cass' mouth and forced down her throat. When Strange pulled them back out, they were coated in an unnatural blue slime.

"....What... is that?" Bonnie asked, her eyes wide with alarm. "Is that her blood? Or... the magical version of it?"

Strange chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "Close, my dear. This is her life force. I have made the application of magicks to medicine my area of expertise. My diagnosis - Miss Reed, if you wouldn't mind focusing as best as you can at the moment - is that I am afraid any further exposure to the Terrigen Mists will prove fatal. If you leave the Mirror Dimension, you will die."
