Vinnie's eyes widened, hearing Zarina spout off some fact about arteries and blood flying. She didn't know what her own occupation had been before - nothing was really a clue to it that she had seen - but she was fairly certain Zarina was a professional psychopath. Maybe she was a serial killer. It would explain a lot, especially with the way she had taken the jaw and the eyeball out from the zombie robot and now was parading them about like some sort of creepy princess. Vinnie barely held back her scream this time as Zarina cut herself with the jaw, the thing still covered in the green goo. Her mouth was covered by her hand and Vinnie just couldn't believe what she was seeing. "You're fine, you're fine, you're fine, she's just a kid," Vinnie mumbled, trying to reassure herself.

At least she could rule out Zarina being a robot zombie - though she didn't know if that was comforting.

Raynor shook his head slightly, putting a strong hand on Zarina's shoulder. She was slippery as hell, covered in blood and green fluid, and his grip wasn't as strong as he would have liked. However, he managed to drag her to the galley. "95%, help the kid," he said gruffly, more of an order than a request. He let go of Zarina, pretty certain she wasn't going to run off. She'd probably want to see how 95% was going to patch her up and ask him questions about it.

Vinnie went to the galley as well, not because she was eager to see more blood, but because she hated the alternative. When they neared the corpse, she diverted her eyes, squeaking a little bit as she finished off her walk with a bit of a sprint, moving into the back corner of the galley. "Could I get a cherry soda? I think sugar would be very good for me right now, but I don't wanna walk over there and have to look at the gross mutilated robot zombie! I'll love whoever gives me a soda forever, I promise, or at least for the next few minutes! Just... just not Greenie," she finished, referring to Zarina.

Bottom Deck, Front -

The rocking and the swaying didn't impact Georgina as much this time, as she managed to stay firmly in her seat. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for those around her. Hagrid was by no means a small person and Georgina had moved into range so to speak. He tumbled forward and would have crushed her, had Penny Haywood not pulled Georgina out of the way quickly. "Wotcher, Georgie!" Hagrid exclaimed. "Whatcha mean, yer saw someone die?" he asked, confused.

But unfortunately, he didn't have much time to talk. He picked Chiara up from the ground with one hand, holding his puppy Fang with the other. "I got to dash - first years and all, they need lookin' after... But come by me hut, okay? I've got tea and rock cakes any time, Georgie," he promised, before disembarking the Knight Bus. The vehicle seemed to shudder as he got off. "First years, follo' me!!" he shouted, waving his hand and indicating that they go to follow him.

"You're going to love the boats," Penny promised Chiara and Beatrice. "I expect you both to be Hufflepuffs, but if you're not, I'll sneak by during the feast and check on you," she promised them.

Bottom Deck, Back -

Poor Fae, abandoned without so much as a word. With the final series of lurches and bumps as the Knight Bus materialized at Hogsmeade Station, Fae lucked out. She managed to stay in one piece, not going flying, not hitting her head, everything was coming up Fae! Maybe it was her beating skills, eh?

Middle Deck, Back -

They weren't quite at their destination yet - the Knight Bus was still thundering along, rapidly changing size to squeeze in through a narrow gap. There was another loud BANG! as they suddenly appeared at Hogsmeade Station, the bus screeching as they barely stopped in time. Outside the windows, everyone would be able to see the stern yet worried expression of the Gryffindor House Head and Deputy Headmistress, Minerva McGonagall.

For this round of bumps and bounces, the locks on Mary's luggage burst open, threatening to spill her belongings everywhere. Madalyne was sent flying, hitting the windows with her face, hard. One of her teeth was knocked out from the impact. Apollo was unscathed. His twin, though, was having a positively horrible day. With the rocking and wild motion of the bus, he ended up hitting his broken wrist against the side of his chair.

"That was positively wicked!" Tonks cheered, her form shifting as she once again looked like an eleven year old girl, although now she had spiky blue hair and golden eyes.

Location: the Knight Bus: Top Center -> Carriage One
Magic: Pocket Sneakoscope

The Knight Bus suddenly squeezed before there was another dramatic BANG! and the brakes squealed as they came to a halt at Hogsmeade Station. Outside, Professor McGonagall stood waiting for the students. A little further down the road were the thestral drawn carriages, although only those who had seen death could see the creatures that pulled them.

The sudden change in momentum didn't mix well with Paige. "It's like they think you're their-" she began, before she was flung from her chair with impressive air clearance. She hit the floor roughly about ten feet from her chair, her luggage at least staying in one place. Hestia didn't even meow, unaware that her owner had been tossed like a rag doll. "...mum," she groaned. Paige waited for a moment to make sure that the Knight Bus really had stopped moving, before picking herself up. She knew her knees and elbows were going to have horrid bruises on them from that tumble.

Unfortunately, Zelda was also tossed from her chair and ended up going smack into Andre Egwu, ending up on top of him in a compromising position on the ground. The Ravenclaw seeker and keeper giggled a little bit, as the two beaters started whispering rapidly, no doubt having made bets on when this would finally happen. Elizabeth was almost thrown out of her chair, just barely catching herself in time, though the sudden motion would hurt her neck.

She then heard Professor McGonagall's voice booming, clearly under the influence of an amplifying charm. "The following students are to report to Professor Dumbledore at once. Georgina Locke, Artemis and Apollo Harrington, Mary Winthrop, Zelda Flynn, Paige Atwell, Elizabeth Flame, Madalyne Crane, and Fae Mintfree. The first two carriages are reserved for those nine and they are to go straight to the headmaster's office upon arriving at Hogwarts. All belongings will be collected from the Knight Bus by staff."

Paige raised an eyebrow. "Why would Dumbledore want to talk to us? And with those losers too, really?" she said with a sigh. She made sure that Hestia was secure in her carrier before walking down the staircase and stepping off of the Knight Bus. The carriages sat four to five students and Paige took a seat in the back of the first carriage, where the bench was a bit roomier and could deal with three (with two sitting in the front).

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Merlin's Warehouse
Skills: N/A

Megan took the rapier from Merlin, pulling it up slightly from the sheath and looking at it, before she slid it back in firmly. It was a bit heavier than a fencing foil, though she had no doubt she could make it work. She wasn't much of a gun person - she never had been. Her brother she was fairly certain carried one or at least knew how to use one, given his work as a cop. It would have been silly for him to not be skilled with one. But then it struck her - he didn't use one. He had a pocket knife. "I'm sure your pocket knife will go on swimmingly," she teased Jack.

She followed him out of the warehouse, feeling a bit wary as she unlocked her car and got into the driver's seat. "What's the address?" she asked her brother, placing the rapier in his lap once he got in. She always handed her things over to her brother to "manage" when she drove. Maybe if a bee flew into the car he could use the rapier to defend himself. "And... how are you dealing with... everything?"

The Hangar...

Doctor Strange was deep in concentration as he continued his magical rituals, floating easily twenty feet in the air now, entirely unaware of the events developing below.

"Leave us, please, " Hill instructed the other agents. Those remaining vacated, leaving just Flynn, Tinley, and Hill (and of course, Oliver was still on the quinjet). Whether the Director of SHIELD noticed that Flynn was still there or if she was so focused on Tinley she didn't was up for debate. "From what our intelligence could gather, your team went to make contact with the inhumans as requested. No information was relayed back to us. Nothing. Our satellites then found you all in Cardiff, where you significantly damaged a historical landmark. One of your agents is unaccounted for - Raynor Blake. We then found your agents again at a prison, where the majority of the guards were slaughtered and you illegally broke out a criminal, Thane di Angelo... I don't doubt there's more to the story, given that the Sorcerer Supreme is here, so I am withholding judgment until you explain."

"But before you do, Agent Abercrombie, know that I took a lot of heat for your promotion. The council thought you were too young and naive - they wanted me to promote Agent Reed. She has more experience, better performance reviews. This is your only warning. Next time, I will need to seriously reevaluate your capabilities as a lead."

Interrogation Cell 72-A...

Thane di Angelo was booked, his cell guarded by two armed agents. The helmet Matt had placed on him had been removed and no atmospheric precautions were taken in the holding cell. Thane remained in his prison uniform with magical bonds. In addition, the SHIELD agents added handcuffs and chains locked into the interrogation table. The interrogation room is rather empty otherwise, with dark blue walls and a one way glass wall facing Thane, the sort common in police stations. The door to the holding cell is adjacent to Thane.

Location: Virology Lab
Skills: Jack of All Trades (Medicine), Enhanced Surgery, Enhanced Physiology

Simmons let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding, as Niah revived Sparky using Wolverine's blood. Tempest's additional use of her healing powers to help stabilize Sparky made her patient's prognosis all the better. Her patient was by no means cured, still suffering from the ravages of M-Pox, but at least she wasn't about to make a trip down to the morgue.

Her patient regained consciousness and Simmons removed the oxygen mask quickly from Sparky. "Agent Renroir is correct. You're in the virology laboratory at the Hub," Simmons explained. She reached into her pocket and handed Sparky a lolly. It was small and grape flavored. "You're in no condition to do anything of any sort at the moment... We almost lost you, sweetheart." Simmons pursed her lips slightly, before she noticed that the man standing next to Agent Reed had a broken wrist. "Tempest, would you mind mending his wrist?" she asked.

A few seconds later, the doors to the lab burst open. Goose had gigantic tentacles coming out from his mouth, wrapped around Agent Chase. Simmons yelped in surprise. "What the?!" she screamed. She had never seen a cat quite like that - and a moment later, she realized it was Nick Fury's cat. She briefly wondered why Goose hadn't left with Fury when the president removed him from his position.

"It's fine, Goose was just helping me get here quickly - my ankle's broken," Bonnie explained, as Goose gently set her down. "Cass has dermal armor - we'd need to use a vibranium needle to penetrate her skin in order to get her blood and look at her antibodies," she then said quickly.

"... We don't have that," Simmons said.

"Then we'll have to go in through her optic tissue - or through her mouth or, erm, one of the lower openings," Bonnie explained. It wasn't something that she would wish on her worst enemy. The eye would definitely be traumatizing, yet in her experience the mouth wasn't much of an option. The tongue had a way of misbehaving. And the other openings... Bonnie didn't want to put Cass through that.

Simmons agreed. "The eye it is, then," she said, quickly getting the equipment gathered as Bonnie hobbled on over to an empty work station.

"Cass, if you could lie down here, and remain as still as possible," Bonnie requested. Simmons handed Cass some pretty strong painkillers, since putting Cass under would prove difficult for the very same reason taking her blood was challenging.

✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III - the Galley
Skills: Mystiokinesis

Rebecca nodded, continuing the Mist illusion of the dog. "Yes, you can pet him," she told Andy with a smile. "Star Wars is a sci-fi fantasy saga... In simpler terms, magical warriors called Jedi are facing a cruel and indifferent space empire." It was an oversimplification, but Andy was young. Perhaps someone at camp would have a copy of the films and a working system for Andy to watch them on. It'd be nice to give the young daughter of Zeus something normal.

She tilted her head slightly, noticing that Arthur was rather quiet. They would have plenty of time for her to begin to tutor him in necromancy. Lauryn's suggestion that they play a game to get to know each other could be nice, especially since Arthur was no doubt still processing the death of his half-sister. "A game sounds fun - perhaps two truths and a lie?" Rebecca suggested. She had been at camp for a while now, staying there year round, but she remembered having to play icebreakers like those at mortal school when she was little. They had been annoying, but Lauryn was likely right. The three new, fresh faced demigods could probably use that sort of game right now.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: Argo III - Upper Deck
Skills: N/A

Leda gasped as the other brunette informed the blonde girl - Leandra - that she was going to be putting in a request for impeachment. She didn't know what impeachment meant, but the drama coming over the Iris message was positively delicious. It reminded her of Downtown Abbey. She half expected someone to start taking out a cane and hitting people with it, all while saying fanciful turns of phrase such as Well, I never! and I do declare!

The bit about discrimination towards the minor gods did sting - Leda hated it when people saw her as less than just because her mother wasn't an Olympian. She didn't know how Rome's hierarchy worked, but if that was the case, then that was just another reason to dislike the Romans. However, every other word that came out of Leandra's mouth reminded her of snake venom. From what they had overheard from the Iris message, Leandra and Miss Parker were fighting over whether or not they should discuss an ominous prophecy or budget cuts? Had she understood that correctly?

"Sounds grand," she said, referring to getting a landing site. Part of her was very excited that Leandra was going to be the escort, just since there was bound to be more tea to spill there. Another part of her was irritated - Leandra struck her as incredibly manipulative. "We're going to pop off, then. Lovely chatting with you all. Definitely enjoyed the entertainment. Also, blondie? You seem like a bit of a bitch, minor god thing aside. Might want to work on that. Ta!" Leda then waved her hand through the Iris message, ending it. She was giggling like mad.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: New Rome - the Senate House
Skills: N/A

Nancy was a fiery ball of pure rage and anger, mirroring her father's crueler traits. Apollo wasn't just the Roman god of medicine - he was also the one that brought plagues and disease, destroying towns and potentially civilizations. It was taking all of Nancy's self control to not scream and use her demigod abilities to amplify the sound until Leandra's head exploded. She barely heard Niah inform Leandra that she was going to begin impeachment proceedings on her. The praetor wasn't a huge fan of all the bureaucratic nonsense the Senate had going on, but impeaching Leandra was something she supported wholeheartedly.

Leandra then back pedaled so fast that Nancy almost got conversational whiplash. The Senator was now asserting that Nancy only became praetor because minor gods and their descendants were discriminated against? That was complete bullshit. Nancy had been elected praetor due to her success in retrieving an important magical stone from a dragon with Niah and Madalyne roughly a year prior. Apollo hadn't had anything to do with it. The only thing he had ever done for her was write her a letter of recommendation for the First Cohort and give her the tarot cards to help manage her curse. Hearing Leandra discredit everything Nancy had done, as if her accomplishments weren't her own... It just fed her anger even more.

But then Leandra had to make her out to be a barbaric fool to the Greeks. The laugh was the last straw. Had Madalyne not ordered Leandra to be silent - one of the abilities of the praetors and one Nancy kicked herself for not using already - she would have called for a vote for Leandra's immediate probation from the Senate. A quick glance around the room saw that half of the Senate was silent, yet the other half seemed to be in agreement with Nancy and Madalyne. Good. Even the Greeks seemed to be in agreement, with the blonde making a comment about Leandra before the Iris message ended, leaving them alone in the Senate House.

Nancy took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Now with that minor grody little problem dealt with... The prophecy." Her hands started to shake again, forcing herself to go back through the images - she didn't have any trouble recalling them. They were burned into her psyche. She looked down at the cards she had drawn.

"I'll start with the vision," she said, her voice heavy and serious. The anger was replaced by concern, worry, and even a bit of fear. "I saw a battlefield. The air was thick, heavy, and smelled like farts. A ship in the distance was being wrecked... probably the Greeks ship, actually... Titans, giants, and monsters stood together against a group of thirteen demigods - fourteen if you include myself. The Romans I saw were my fellow praetor Madalyne, Niah, and... Leandra... All of these demigods were chained up at the shrine to Apollo."

She paused for a moment, before continuing. "The cards that I pulled range from the past, the present, to the future... In the far past, I drew the High Priestess, reversed. That card deals with secrets, disconnected from intuition, withdrawal and silence. In the past, I drew the Lovers, also reversed. That usually means self-love, disharmony, imbalance, misalignment of values... In the present, the now, the Hanged Man. Feeling trapped, confined, self-limiting, uncertainty, lack of direction, needing release, letting go.... In the future, I drew Death. This doesn't necessarily mean we'll die, but it deals with endings, change, transformation, transition... And in the far future, the Tower, meaning danger, crisis, destruction, and liberation... Sometimes also unforeseen change."

Nancy's heart was beating furiously. "Taking the cards and my vision together, this is the next great prophecy - the next crisis, combining the threats faced by the Seven with those we fought in the Titan War... A crisis is coming. With the Greeks on their way in a ship, I think it'll be soon. We need to drill the Legion, do harder War Games, anything to give them a fighting chance to survive. Most of us in this room will probably be dead by the time the prophecy runs its course. I don't mean to scare you but... it's just being realistic."

🌻 Runa Johansson 🌻

Location: Hotel Valhalla - Reception
Skills: Norwegian, Wicca

The afterlife's default mode seemed to be English. Runa instantly felt wary and crowded as a brunette came up to her, welcoming her to... wherever she was, Summerland or something else entirely. The dark haired woman holding her spoke in Norwegian, which helped to reassure her slightly, but it didn't make her any less overwhelmed. A man with a warty face, wild beard, and a bellhop's uniform came over to her and gave her the name of this place - Hotel Valhalla.

Her mind was buzzing, making it difficult to focus. Another person came up to her - she was really feeling incredibly flustered and cornered with everyone coming up to her at once - in a green suit with untamed hair almost like a lion's mane. The words Ragnarok and Valhalla kept buzzing around in her head, as she tried to remember what they referred to. Everything here was norse - originating from her homeland of Norway. It finally clicked. Ragnarok was the death and rebirth of the world, the twilight of the norse gods. And Valhalla - or Hotel Valhalla - was what she thought of as the Summerland, the afterlife, home to the Vikings.

"Jeg er Runa... Sorry, my name is Runa," she said quietly, switching to English. Her accent was rather faint. Her legs felt like jelly as she walked over with the others - Nadia, the brunette, and Hunding. Nadia's explanation matched most of what she knew from Wicca - that Valhalla was where Odin's army lived until the twilight of Ragnarok. It didn't make sense to her that it was a hotel, although she couldn't really imagine an alternative for it.

The giant's words echoed harshly through her mind again - they had called her a child of Balder. She decided to keep that information to herself for now. In the elevator, she moved into the back corner, trying to carve out a bit of personal space. "... Why me?" she then asked softly. She didn't understand how she was worthy of being a part of Odin's army.

Dunkin' Donuts -

"Oh you know, Miss Queen's got a good point about comfort," Pyro told Anastasia. "I'd be more comfortable on my bike." He had a motorcycle that he used pretty much all the time, liking it since it was good for weaving in and out of traffic - and tailing people. They had a tracking device in Desiree's car, so there wasn't anywhere she and Ice Queen could go where they wouldn't find them

"But I want to hear it from the lass 'erself - why doesn't she come on out and tell us what she wants, huh?" Pyro gambled, flicking the lighter in his hands on and off. He didn't budge from his position, still leaning up against Desiree's car.

Veil

Location: the Old Underground Hideout
Skills: Leadership, Perception
Veil was extremely proud of Spark Plug - she hadn't even thought of asking her to make a fog cover and here it was, the perfect way to cover their escape route. She didn't mind that Spark Plug threatened Tome slightly - he did deserve it, she had to admit. No one was attacking him yet. That was good. She wanted to hear what he had to say for himself before they vanished into the fog. Sage hadn't sent any updated communication as well, which was doubly troubling. "Tome, Casper wasn't available. Additionally, if I'm going to help protect this innocent, I need my team with me - I can't do it by myself," she said unapologetically.

She returned her attention to her brother, Echo. "That's Tome. He's... an experience," she told him carefully. "And my hair isn't a priority right now." She avoided answering the question as to how she was. She was incredibly stressed out. They had walked into what seemed to be some sort of trap or a diversion tactic to keep them from helping the innocent. Sage's information had said Jinx and Ice Queen were involved - not Tome. Glimpse was having trouble getting into his mind, another fact that made her wary. Feedback had more success though, finding that there weren't any trackers of any sort on Tome.

Feedback destroyed the gift basket, making Veil wince. They were so low on resources at the Underground that she probably would have inspected the items carefully first and then ended up bringing them back. Sapphire was showing a surprising amount of restraint by not attacking Tome.

"Tome is the name he chose, so we're using that to talk to him. Even if he's a villain, we're not dead naming him unless he asks us to, Feedback," Veil told her sternly. Some people used their mutant names exclusively, some used them interchangeably. She herself defaulted to using mutant names. Casper was an exception - he had told her he didn't really want to be called Spirit Box, preferring his given name. Jack similarly went between Stretch and Jack. "We're also not attacking him unless he attacks first," she told her people.

"Our priority is the innocent... Tome, if Ice Queen doesn't show up in the next ten minutes, then we're leaving and we'll track the innocent down ourselves." Her gut told her that Tome was telling the truth - that he didn't know what was going on and that this wasn't meant to be a set up.

Sunshine and Casper

Location: Mutant Underground Hideout - First Floor: Training Room
Skills: Mediumship, Disease Manipulation, and Enhanced Accuracy
Ben instantly retaliated against James for poking him, poking the living mutant back on the arm as hard as he could. He wasn't mad that James had touched him. In fact, it was thrilling to have some semblance of normality back - he felt like Voldemort in the Harry Potter universe, rejoicing the ability to be able to touch again. "I've been dead almost as long as I was alive... If you mean if I feel like I'm alive again, I honestly don't remember what that feels like. I can't recall the feeling of air rushing into my lungs or what the sun beating down on my neck is really like. But if you mean compared to normal death, I dunno, it's like I've just been energized. Like every part of me is buzzing."

Ben was so excited to be able to interact with things that he nodded, high fiving Cayden as hard as he could. There was pure ecstasy on his face as his fingers connected with Cayden's. Sweat was pouring down Casper's forehead, the blue glow stills surrounding his hands and his eyes glowing. It was clearly taking a toll on him, keeping Ben anchored to the physical world. Maybe he'd be able to get better at it with time, but it was clear to everyone there he would need to stop soon and rest.

"Shockingly, Casper can hear you all still and can answer questions about ghosts," he quipped, his voice sounding a bit weary. "I could try to summon Erg, kid, but Jackie's right. Erg probably won't show up for me. He wasn't exactly my number one fan, y'know? Ben's easy. Ben's obsessed with me and he's my best friend, so he likes hanging around... But... I lost my train of thought."

"I got this. I'm the resident ghost, after all, even if he's the one named Casper," Ben interjected. "If Erg wanted Casper to summon him, Erg would have come around by now. Like how Waverley's mother was lurking, wanting to use him to talk to her child and tell her to murder Max."

"Yes, exactly! Ugh, Waverley's mother was a nightmare... Not that she was unpleasant, which I guess she was because she kept asking for Feedback to murder someone on her behalf without any regard to the consequences that would have, but like... She was covered in blood. People look the way they did at the moment of death. Erg might... He might not be all there. Also, I don't want to summon Erg! He liked to brand people! With a red hot poker! He hated me! I don't want to find out if he can brand my face from the afterlife!" Casper was starting to panic, getting a bit hysterical. Somehow though, Ben was hanging on, still visible and tangible.

Sunshine was quiet for a moment, listening to what they were saying. When it came to the afterlife, she believed that people were judged and the wicked ones went to the Fields of Punishment, the normal boring people went to the Asphodel Meadows, and heroes went to Elysium. She could speak Greek fluently and sometimes in the winter months, she would go to the library and watch videos on Greek beliefs in an attempt to feel closer to her dad. As long as she didn't look completely filthy, the librarians usually would be nice enough to help her find a video and get it set up for her on the computer.

"Your power is summoning ghosts and now that you aren't doing drugs, your excuse is that you don't think Erg liked you!!" Sunshine exploded. "He sacrificed himself for all of us, for you too you asshole, and you won't even try! What is the point of keeping you around?! No wonder your brother doesn't even like you!" She didn't have any weapons on her - the closest was the nearly empty Cheez-Its bag.

She threw a small glowing green ball at Casper, hitting him in the face. He instantly started sneezing, his eyes looking red. "I hate you!!!!! You can't just abandon and give up on people!!!" Sunshine screamed, though she was looking at Jack now and not Casper.

🐺 Asha Jabari 🐺

Location: Hotel Valhalla - Reception
Skills: N/A

Asha had a simple smile on her face, though her eyes shined with glee and delight. While she was a rather proud and mischievous soul, she tended to be a bit muted and restrained as well, an aura of mystery about her. She had a bit of a flair for the dramatics, probably taking after her father in that regard. "You're welcome, Hunding. Since he's grody to you, you can decide if you want to hide a fake rune somewhere or if there shouldn't even be a fake one for him to find." It wouldn't save him from Helgi forever and Asha wouldn't be able to likely distract him again soon for Hunding, but it was at least a partial reprieve.

She then looked at her fellow einherjar. Klara seemed pretty enthusiastic about it all and Asha blushed faintly. "Anyways... Do you two have any interesting ideas on what to do today? I'm not really feeling like doing Tennis to the Death. It just gets a bit repetitive, y'know..." In truth, she didn't like any of the activities that ended in death. She would much rather be the one building the weapons and forging them than the one being run through with them.

☀️ Nancy Parker ☀️

Location: Amtrak - North Dakota
Skills: Sleight of Hand

Nancy's legs felt stiff. She had chewed her way through almost her entire pack of bubblegum. She had even looked through the drawings on all of her tarot cards out of sheer boredom. The train didn't have any sort of instant entertainment. All she had to do was to talk with Niah and Madalyne (which was rather fun, but she couldn't fill all of the time constantly talking with them) or staring out the window at the scenery that blurred on by. She had spent decades in a place where time stood still and now, on a train speeding towards their destination, Nancy was beginning to chaff at the inactivity.

When they were just a few stops from their destination and the train came to a rest stop, Nancy instantly leapt up out of her seat, thrilled to be able to stretch her legs. They could probably buy some more food with the rest of the cash she had "borrowed" earlier - but first things first, Niah needed a phone. A smart phone. She still didn't get how those small buttons were usable, but that wasn't her problem. She went into the aisle and was about to bump into a businessman, when he turned and saw her going for his pocket.

"What the hell are you doing?" he said, clearly annoyed.

Nancy thought on her feet. She could have been a child of Mercury. "Argh, I'm... I'm so sorry... Is it... is it hot in here?" she mumbled weakly, stumbling forward as she pulled off a near perfect performance, acting as if she had been caught by a dizzying fainting spell and was not trying to pickpocket the passenger. Her plan was to get enough people asking what they could do to help, ask to borrow a phone to contact her parents so they could bring her some medicine when they picked her up at her stop in Fargo, and then pass along the phone to her sister, Niah, to contact them. "H-help..." she gasped, about to hit the floor.

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈

Location: RV Camp -> Outside Wendy's - Atlanta, Georgia
Skills: Driving (Car)

Leda carried 20 golden drachma on her, with one lucky silver drachma that she never spent on principle. She pulled five drachma out of her pack and handed them over to the naiad. She really hoped they wouldn't meet baby Heracles again. Leda liked to imagine that Heracles would grow up to be a decent cyclops in the forges under the sea - not one of the horrific monsters that tried to turn demigods into stew. If she never met him again, well, she would never know how he turned out, allowing her to choose the version of reality that suited her. And if Leda were to be completely honest... She didn't care about Heracles - she just felt she had an obligation to him, as she had killed his parent. Once he was someone else's responsibility, she could move on, forget about the little bugger. "Thanks again, luv."

She made her way back over to the truck with Kristin, her stomach growling loudly again. Her mind was already off the baby cyclops and onto burgers. She had a little under $100 on her, with 50 quid (though she doubted they accepted British currency here) as well. Once Zeke and Kristin were both in, she drove them over to the nearest strip mall area, parking in front of the Wendy's. "Let's dine in, yeah? Gives me a chance to recharge, inhale some double cheeseburgers and a shake, before we hit the road again." It made them prime targets for monsters, sitting in one place, but they needed to eat. That wasn't negotiable.
