Superhero 1x1 iCheck

Since the genre seems to be dead as far as Casual and Advanced RP's go, I figured I'd toss my hat in with the 1x1 crowd and see what happens. I'm a big fan of both DC and Marvel comics characters[and not just because of a movie, been collecting comics about two decades now] but I can make originals as well if any interested parties prefer. I can go with Casual or Advanced standards if need be, and I enjoy collaborating on posts in titanpads as well. Right now I really just need an active RP. Not something where half the cast is waiting for another person to reply or make an action, or with a bunch of bickering over nonsense in the OOC's. I just want to write and collaborate on ideas to keep my skills on par or above so when I finally break into the business I won't be out of practice. My last two interest checks were based on Amalgam Comics and a new take on them, as well as an Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy RP called Guardian Fall. Both didn't seem to have enough interest to move beyond an iCheck.

So there it is. Lately I've really wanted to RP using Cyclops from the X-Men for some reason. If you can't tell by the s/n I'm also a BIG fan of the Green Lantern [just not lately as far as the comics go]. Also I should go ahead and point out I'm not actually a kid, it's just a screen name I've used for well over a decade and a half on various message boards and social media outlets. So don't let that discourage any of you from showing interest!

Alias: Cyclops

Powers/Skills: Optic blasts capable of ripping through steel and destroying skyscrapers, solar energy absorbtion, skilled fighter, tactitian, pilot

Weaknesses: Too much energy output can drain him and make him exhausted and tire quickly. Same general human weaknesses for someone wearing light bodyarmor.

Personality: Quiet, calculating, blunt, honest, loyal

BRIEF Bio:

Scott Summers was considered the first X-Man. Scott attended the Xavier Institute from the age of sixteen forward, becoming a teacher to younger mutants and students around the age of twenty-four when the superheroics and being an X-Man slowed down. Recently after the brawl between the X-Men and the Avengers over the return of the Phoenix, after the entity returned Jean Grey to life only to cast her out in the stars once more, Cyclops was labeled a terrorist by the government after the discovery of his black ops style X-Force. Taking full reponsibility for his crimes he was arrested and has served four months in maximum security superhuman prison.

When Cyclops got wind of Ironman's plan to save the Guardians he got word to Stark which led to his early release. Joining Stark and piloting the space vessel built for this particular type of situation, Cyclops has redemption on his mind. Saving Kitty, Starlord, and the rest... it's just another day at the office for this seasoned hero.

Additional Notes:

* A vs X ended differently with Jean just coming back to life in the end and shooting back
up to the stars. Scott was labeled a criminal after his X-Force was made public following
the assassination of a shapeshifter posing as the governor of New York.

* In this reality Scott was never married to Jean, however the romance was still there and
a man claiming to be their son from the future [Cable] still showed up in this timeline.

I think I will go with cannon and use John Jameson AKA Man-Wolf. If this team is going to space then they will need somebody who is an actual astronaut.

Because there are only few symbiotes that would be in space helping, at least symbiotes that we know of curr?ently wouldn't being do it.

The Life Foundation symbiotes are out of the question. So is Carnage, what about Toxin?

And it matters on how the Spider-Man CS is? Okay.

The Life Foundation symbiotes would be cool, could always just pass one of them on to another host somehow. You could use a version of Mania aka Kid Venom. Toxin/Eddie Brock would depend on the CS, as that's a hard enough sell [for me anyway, Brock will always be THE Venom], but if you have the right feel for the character based on what I've read up on then I'm game. Or if you want to make him the other guy who used the Toxin symbiote.

We could pick this one back up if enough of you guys are game. Anybody that would want a new character could go ahead and knock out a character sheet by weekend's end. Start back maybe a month or two since the last posts, situation is more dire. We'll have lost several young heroes, Leaguers, and mentors...
