Yes. Welcome!

"Farewell, my unexpected, mysterious friend. May our paths cross again in the future."
Freyr

The Lilim chuckled before launching into the air. "Likewise, Sir Freyr." She then disappeared in a puff of black smoke.

You returned to the guild with no more incident, the road back being quiet save for the buzzes of night insects. You arrive to an assembled group of the other guild members, some of them being covered in dirt and soil for some reason. The Beelzebub that aided you earlier, Kira Gigas, was there too and already talking amongst the guild.

Kira had probably already told them what happened between the two of you but it perhaps would be best to approach with an explanation ready.

"Hey Talia. It was... you know. Lots of zombies."
Ozzy Skyway

"We went to dig a map outside a church! Which was scary and cramped, also plenty of zombies. Ech. Not fun. Was scary. Neil got caught but Ditzy pulled Neil out."
Ditzy Stoneclub

"Lots of Zombies? You guys must have quite the luck to run into an undead horde there of all places." Talia remarked, noting the proximity of the graveyard to Pravar. "Were they already there when you arrived?"

"No, no. We, uhh, we awakened them. Not intentionally. Just making that clear." Neil answered. "But we made it out, though, so not that unlucky. And trust me, it could've gone way worse." He added, referring to their almost miraculous escape when the escape tunnel collapsed and it was all improvisation from there.

Talia giggled. "That's true. That's true."

"You guys are covered in dirt too." Haley then flew over to Ada. "Hey Ada, wanna take a bath together? I'll wash you. Who else wanna come?"

"Meanwhile, I shall go ahead and prepare dinner." Talia said before heading inside with Neil nodding to the guild before following her.
Hey guys, me and my sister just got Skyrim Legendary Edition to play for the quarantine and now we can't put it down. Thus, updates will be delayed a bit.

Also, I finally found a song that embodies Varjo as they slaughter and pillage. Link
@ShwiggityShwah

I recommend posting as soon as possible, but no rush since I've already delayed the update.
Hey guys, since no one has posted yet, the update will be delayed to next week.

Y'all stay safe in these trying times and don't forget to wash your hands.

"This is nothing like home for me. All of my trees were evergreens, the whole forest was different. When I came south for the first time I was astonished. I couldn't understand the warmth, the sun, how many colors could be found in nature. That was a couple years ago, now, but I still love to see new places. I think it drives Tristram a little nuts how excited I get."
Sieglinde Driessen

"It's like a whole different world, isn't it?" Jane could give this one to Sieglinde. Nothing sensitive was being broached here. Save for the first questions which she was trying to avoid. "Head into somewhere far enough and everything's different. The people, the buildings, the customs, all that. My homeland may be similar to here but I noticed all the differences."

"I'm glad you're enjoying your stay here, Sieglinde." Jane finished. "Do you miss your home, though?"

Rose certainly did. But there was no way she could return there and even if she did, it would not be the same. She would never enjoy Thaln like she did before. However, that was Rose's story. One that Jane would take to the grave as much as possible. Meanwhile, Jane did not miss her cruel homeland at all. She was glad to be away from there.

"Would you mind telling me a bit more about yourself? I couldn't help but get a bit curious... Your words... It seems like you went through quite a lot of things, just as I did, haven't you?"
Freyr

"I have. That's because I'm a daughter of the Demon Lord, a Lilim. Druella, in particular. Leader of the Demon Army's Radical faction which means I bear a lot of responsibility." She introduced herself proudly placing a hand on her chest.

Right before laughing out loud. "Do you really believe that, though? Meeting a child of the Demon Lord herself here of all places?" Returning to her normal posture. "But you're not wrong though, I've been through a lot. But this is the path I chose to walk and I don't regret it. It's grating sometimes, though. Hahaha!"

The dusk sun had finally set, its last rays of light fading. Slowly, the orange sky turned dark. "It's getting pretty late, Sir Freyr, and I'm afraid this brief respite of ours must come to an end." From underneath the woman's cloak, majestic black wings emerged and she unfurled them to show off its dark splendor. They looked like the wings of a demon or a succubus, but much more elegant and beautiful.

"The paths we walk are painful, Sir Freyr. But tell me, do you regret it? Do you regret leaving your forest home and seeing the outside world? If you had the chance, would you undo the events that led you to here?"

~@Restalaan (YNG), @Rezod92~

"Okay, long story short, George, the guy we saved from being raided, turned out to be wanted in Ambran for smuggling illegal drugs. The guy said the drugs were harmless, wasn't hurting anyone and needed the funds for the situation at Ravager's Nest. Freyr was a quite conflicted about it, but I wasn't have it and informed the local guards. After George was arrested, Freyr was still...troubled from the experience and wandered off to be alone somewhere. At least, that's what I saw before I flew off."
Kira Gigas

"Well on one hand, props to locking up a criminal. On the other hand, I think he's instrumental in the effort to finally take down Ravager's Rest once and for all." said Haley, giving Kira a conflicted look. She then shrugged and sighed. "Oh well, I'm sure a man of his shady caliber can find a way."

Just as Haley finished, a group of familiar faces arrived at the guild's main entrance. "Oh look, they're back." Talia was the first to move to greet them.

Neil chuckled at the attempts to lift his spirits back up. "Don't worry, guys. I'm not hung up on it... much. I may just be an average boy but that doesn't mean I won't do my best to help you guys and the guild." He finished by patting Ada on the back to let her know that he appreciated the pat.

"No! This will be my 3rd outing in a row with nothing to show for! Master Bart is going to kick me out! Gah! MWwwraap..."
Ozzy Skyway

"If that rat was here, we'd give him the map and take our pay, but since he's not, he'll have to pay us for the original quest, as well as a 'delivery and holding fee' if he wants this map, since we went through so much trouble to get it and now we have to hold on to it for him because he abandoned us. So in a way, you wouldn't be going back empty handed! If anything, we've increased the price of this particular quest! So I say we head right back. No sense waiting around here in the cold for Forde to show up, if he even will.
Vivian Altissima

"Vivian's right, Ozzy. Once we give the map to Forde, whom I'm sure will come by the guild tomorrow, will get our reward and we'll charge him more for the Zombie menace we had to deal with." Neil got up and faced the road. "For now, let's just get back. I'm in dire need of a bed right now."

------

The night was already at its darkest when the party got back to the guild. Upon arrival, they were noticed by a group of familiar faces at the right side of the guild. There appeared to be some sort of construction happening at that side. Nothing remarkable could be noticed yet, only foundations for now.

Talia the Cyclops was the first to come over.

~@Restalaan (YNG & DIT), @Rezod92, @Stern Algorithm, @13org (ADA), @ShwiggityShwah~

"Good evening, you all." Talia greeted the arriving party. "You all look like you've been through quite the scuffle. What happened in your quest?"

"It's... It's a long story." Neil said, tiredly. "I'll-I'll let the others tell it. What about you?"

"I spent the day building the Altissima sisters' greenhouse. Haley also helped but it's still pretty bare right now. It's going to take a while. I hope you two don't mind." Talia's last words were for the Liliraune. "Oh and we have a new guild member. Come and introduce yourself, Miss Gigas."
~ Crown Of Thaln ~

After talking with Tyaethe, Jarde followed Fanilly towards the subdued Nem assassin. She had ordered to secure the perimeter, to increase the security already provided by the Crown Knights. Jarde would obey but then everyone else assumed their positions. Sure, he could join them but his presence would only make those places crowded and possibly reduce its effectiveness especially considering Jarde was not the person you want to stand and hold a position. Besides, he could just make it seem he was just passing by on his way.

That and he was also curious to what was going on with the intruder. Maritza had removed the scarf around the Nem's neck to reveal a nasty scar, one that indicated a terrible wound was inflicted upon it. Jarde grimaced at the sight but now they knew why the Nem was so quiet. He felt pity and wondered what story was behind this little intruder. Fanilly ordered for writing implements and once the assassin got them, she had but one, shaky message.

'YOU KILLED HER'

"Well that's not ominous at all."

Jarde felt a slight chill at the words and what they could mean. What was clear, though, was that this assassination attempt was one of vengeance. A passionate one from the looks of it since the Nem had tears welling up in her eyes. She was probably angry and sad that her attempt failed. At least, that was what seemed to Jarde.

The 'Her' was probably someone near and dear to the would-be assassin. 'You' was the more vague question. The Crown Princess was the closest candidate, but could it be her? The Princess was beloved across Thaln. "Who here wanna bet that she's talking about the Princess?" Still, Jarde put it out there to begin the conversation.
@Haha

Well crap. I was in the middle of creating a character that belongs to a family of Summoners. Guess it's back to square one.

Were there past Mirror Fantasias? Like how there were past Grail Wars in Fate/stay night?
