Yea, I figured it'd take awhile. Which means Erika is probably going to go her own route for now, heading East and then North. So I'm sure there is a place somewhere that'll put both of them close enough.
Although, Erika will soon begin her quest for a Dawn Stone, which may take her another direction so who knows.
And yes, that Poliwag is definitely what Erika is looking for! I was prepared to write a whole monologue of her needing a rock or water type to counter her weakness to fire and debating whether or not the Wet Caverns were worth the investigation or not. But yea, that totally helps!
”...Powder Snow! …” Erika gave her command, holding her breath as Sno performed his move. Erika held her breath as she waited to see the result and it felt like she was holding it months before the attack hit and Venonat was felled! Erika gasped as she finally realized what had happened...
"Whew... Sorry Vivia, maybe next time!" Erika breathed a sigh of relief, though sounding generally satisfied, with her first battle's conclusion. Erika bent down and gave Sno a pat on his cone top. ”You did great out there!” Erika gleamed and Sno matched her expression. She returned to her feet and walked over to offer her hand to Vivia in a friendly exchange. ”Thank you for the first battle and seriously, I hope you challenge me again!” Erika encouraged her rival, feeling the sudden weight of her first battle being lifted already.
Now it was time to begin her adventure! … Well… At least she thought so. After exchanging final goodbyes with the Professor, she was unexpectedly stopped by the last person she thought she’d see. ”D-dad! What are you still doing here?”
Turns out, Erika’s father had a meeting that morning but it got out early and decided to treat his daughter to lunch. His primary goal was wanting to know everything about how the meeting with the professor went. What Pokemon Erika had recieved, and so on. To Erika, who had a previous commitment, could only hastily respond to everything. She couldn’t say no to her father and things seemed to drag out until finally he wished her off again…
Erika hurried off to Route 2, stopping to occasionally train Sno up who seemed just as eager as her to get this adventure started, although less frantic about being late…
It took Erika awhile but she finally reached the entrance to the Infested Forest. ”Well Claire.. Here I am… Late…” Erika huffed as she dropped her head, remorseful that she had been late and for the moment, forgetting entirely about the phone she had received. Though Sno was doing her best to cheer Erika up by parading around Erika’s feet. ”..Well.. At least you and I can get started. I don’t think I’m brave enough to run in that forest with all those bugs but maybe we try heading somewhere else and meet up later, huh Sno.” Erika glanced up and surveyed the Route trying to formulate her next move...
Awesome. Important question though: how do you feel about power armor? I was going to make a guy who's quirk, while handy, doesn't directly assist him in combat so he relies on power armor to help him in a fight. He got it from his late dad, who my dood help build said power armor.
Have your chara's senior project be something like Power Armor that he slowly improves throughout his career at Kosei. Starting with something cobbled together but ending with a full suit. Kind of like how the Support Class people are like.
Truthfully, it didn't matter how Four-Eyes answered her question, Severa wasn't going to be completely satisfied with the answer in any way. In fact, Severa had found a way to take offense to the way Four-Eyes had worded his response. Completely unnecessary offense, but offense nonetheless. Severa clenched her teeth and scowled. In the back of her head, she knew it was excessive but with her thoughts mainly dwelling on her friend being a no show. However, she couldn't help but lash out at the closest being. "That's a dumb reason, but if you want to quit early and say you aren't going to win competitions, I don't care."
Severa paused for a moment, eyeing a group of students that had suddenly burst out in laughter. "Besides, everyone is taking the time to get all chummy with one another so they can team up later. You could be doing that too instead of reading..." Severa added sternly but started to drift off towards the end of her statement. She never was the best at making friends, even before she got her temper. She was always so shy to meet new people that it felt crippling. Now, she tried to tell herself she didn't care and for the most part it worked in fooling her into thinking that.
A few awkward moments of silence descended upon the pair, Severa pretending not to notice as she glared venomously at passerbys before finally caving and chiming in again. This time, she did better in sounding halfway decent. "So... You're confident in your skills but think you'll lose, huh. Why do you say that?" Severa inquired, as she honestly didn't believe in quitter talk like that.
