Lataniva paused briefly as she was met with the new crewmember. First impression was that she wasn’t spectacularly impressed with her, though yet again, she was difficult to impress. Given her circumstances, there was likely a good reason Taleste was here. Still. Lataniva spoke the first thought that hit her before properly responding.
‘They’re quick to replace the fallen, I see.’
Having said that, Lataniva extended her hand to grasp Taleste’s. Shaking hands wasn’t a Dalentian gesture, but she had learned of its purpose in her journey through the galaxy. Her eyes locked unshakingly at Taleste’s own, Lataniva’s black eyes and neutral expression showing no particular emotion.
‘Indeed. I am Lataniva, hunter-warrior of Dalentia. The surety in the statement makes me believe you’ve met my kind before. Then you already know what I am capable of. What areas of expertise can I entrust you to, Taleste?’
Lataniva asked, distracting herself from the ship by making small-talk. Lataniva honestly didn’t mind a friendly conversation once-in-a-while.
There had been a time not too long ago when she never could have friendly conversations, when there had been a pressure on her to always, ALWAYS be wary and threatening… but here that was no longer a requirement. Which was nice, and a silver lining to all that had happened to her. Yeah.
collab between Banana and PlatinumSkink, using characters Kyoshi and Viola Hopkins/Speedrunner
That was besides the point right now though, as a phone ringtone buzzed from Kyoshi's bag. Someone was giving a call to the Minutemen, and Kyoshi was the one who had to take it. She became the involuntary secretary of the group when she joined, and she had to take some of the calls that she had received. She walked over to the side of the building and answered the call, trying to sound proper as she did. "This is the Minutemen. Kyoshi speaking."
‘Ah.’ There was a note of realization in a young, female voice on the other side. ‘Hello. This is- a-actually, I’m unimportant. My sister isn’t. My sister is Wisp.’ She said, sounding nervous. She hesitated to continue, giving Kyoshi time to potentially respond.
"Wisp? I apologize for sounding dumb, but I'm a bit new to the cape scene. What's going on?" Kyoshi responded with a slightly surprised tone. She needed information to go off of if she was going to get the rest of the crew on board the mission.
‘Oh, alright.’ She took a deep breath to start explaining. ‘She's a Rogue, and a Stranger. She bends light around her and can hide herself from sight. She never allows herself to be seen in the streets. … But, despite this, the Rockers somehow tracked down our home.’ It became quiet for a bit as the girl on the other side was figuring what part to say next.
Kyoshi was slightly taken aback by this. Normally someone would go to the PRT for this sort of thing, but in any case it was a welcome thing to do. "That... that doesn't sound good at all. Do you need us to rescue her?" asked Kyoshi concernedly. If she needed help, then it was the Minutemen's duty to provide that help.
‘Um, yes. But it's a little bit more complicated than just that.’ The voice said. ‘My sister... has been using her ability to steal in order to keep us alive. She's been skirting the line of becoming a villain, herself.’ She breathed in and out a bit, a bit nervous. ‘The Rockers came to recruit her.’ The voice clarified that bit from earlier. ‘And in order to protect, well, me... she might let them. I don't want to see her become a real villain. So yes... I need her rescued.’ So she said.
"Well... Okay. We need a place to go to and we'll be on our way." Kyoshi replied. She wasn't too keen on helping someone who was going down the path of villainy, but who knows? Maybe the team could put her on the path of justice and good... or whatever. That sounded really cheesy in Kyoshi's head.
‘I don't know where they are. She didn't tell me where she was going, but I'd assume they're in the part of town controlled by the Rockers. And, um, you might want to bring something to be able to detect her, as she's normally invisible. Maybe G4M3R could fashion up some... some... some thermal goggles from Metal Gear Solid, perhaps...?’ She asked, a tiny bit of hopefulness in her voice as she asked.
"Hm... I'll ask the others about it and we'll go find her." Kyoshi came back with after the other line finished speaking. It'd be a bit tough to get the others on board with this random call, but maybe they'll have it as a sort of test for Outsider if he's joining.
‘Thank you...’ The other line went silent for a bit. Then... ‘I should probably mention. Before leaving to meet with them to discuss terms, she also mentioned something about potentially just killing them all to be done with it if they didn't agree. Since she's a "Stranger with a knife", as she put it, she reasoned she could. I don't want her to do that, either. If she fails, likely since she has no experience fighting, she'll be in real trouble. And even if she'd succeed, she wouldn't be the same sister that left. This is partly why I'm not calling the PTR, they might overreact if she's already started.’ There was a bit more silence, before the voice started again with a bit more sad and genuine plead to it. ‘I don't want her to become a murderer or a villain. ... Please, save my sister.’
"If G4M3R and Artificer won't save her, then I'll try my best to get her out. I am the real fighter of the crew after all." Kyoshi stated before turning back towards G4M3R, closing the cellphone in her hand after hanging up. "G4M3R, I got a call about the Rockers and a sister that needs saving. What do you want me to do?"
@Banana So, I should post the collab, was it? I thought it kind of made sense that you do since you'll be turning to the others by the end of the post, so you could combine it with yourself talking. But, otherwise, sure, I could post it and then you respond to it with talking to your companions or so. That works, too. So?
Was he telling the truth? That it had been just luck? That would… be extremely relieving, it just meant she had suffered the consequences of staying in a villain-district a bit too long. There was always the possibility that he was a good liar, but he had spoken about it so confidently, she felt it was the truth. Or maybe she was just easy to trick, but she didn’t want to consider that.
That said, if that was it, then her initial purpose with coming here was complete. They wouldn’t be able to find her again. Their new place was a lot harder to find for the Rockers. So, she could just vanish right now, and then that was it. No more trouble with villains. There was a numerous second silence and nothingness for Shatterpoint as Wisp considered this.
… … … No. Not yet. She had a unique opportunity here. She had to look into what she could find out on this road. Just in case she found an opportunity to cause real damage to the world of villains in Denver. Unearth some conspiracies or so. If it turned bad, she’d just vanish. Yeah. She could always vanish.
As for the difference between Wisp and the robber…
i will say that while i’m invisible myself i don’t have the means to find someone else who is invisible as well
That said. Onto the matter about communicating.
i will not permit you to have a technological link to me as it could be traced and so i cannot permit immediate communication we will meet up at predetermined times ensuring i know the next time and place before i leave
as such, when and where would you like to meet next?
It was possible for them to put a trap for her if they knew where they were going to meet up. Wisp was aware of this, but, this’d have to do. She wanted no links whatsoever with this team. She didn’t know what kind of orders they’d have for her, but their nature would determine her future with this cooperation. There was a very real chance they’d say her orders and then never hear from her again.
I've been a little disinterested in what's currently going on for a while, but here's a post of Lataniva doing nothing to show I exist. Just give me a call if anyone wants to spice anything up or what-not. Otherwise, I'll be waiting until action happens.
Lataniva started to look exceedingly disinterested after Arex latest reply and then proceeded to just turn around and walk, deciding that she didn’t really need to know.
She was present at the different meetings. She had probably put an order for a few extra knives, and it’d be nice to have a few laser-knives or something she could throw at enemies with shields that could go through, because shields would block most of her other capabilities. She’d also attempt to get herself some high-quality gemstones for her equipment. Likely fail.
On the freetime she’s be found sleeping in different positions free beds across the ship, seemingly randomly picked, or she was exercising her muscles / polishing her gems and armor / sharpening her blades somewhere. She wouldn’t seek out contact with someone else unless she had an intention with it. Currently, she didn’t.
When it was requested that some help them unpack, Lataniva did find herself sufficiently free. Besides, having a psionic who could unpack with her mind could likely be of considerable use in plenty of situations down there. Otherwise, Lataniva would just be around as usual, not really intent on claiming any area for herself and being around.
Amelia kneeled down, though given that the Pumpkaboo came in sizes from 0.3 to 0.8 meters tall, it was quite a choice of height to level with them. After she had said her piece, the different Pumkaboos exchanged glances while still lying in a pile. No shinies lie among their number, however. A small discussion seemed to start taking place.
‘Kaboo?’ ‘Boo.’ ‘Kaboo?’ ‘Pumka?’ There were a few frowns among them, eyeing Amelia. Some of the voices sounded a little more heated than other curious voices. Then, a tiny little pumpkin rolled off the pile and onto the proper side. The little creature was the tiniest of its kind, at barely 30 centimeters tall, and looked kind of happy. Now, it should be noted that among Pumpkaboos larger size are usually favored for bragging purposes, but, well. This one seemed intent.
‘Pumpka-!’ ‘-PUMPKABOO!’ A suddenly much larger Pumkaboo broke free of the pile, rolling out and blocking the way of the smaller one. This one was the full size, 80-something centimeters tall, super-sized and many times heavier. It frowned at Amelia, looking as if to defend the tiny and surprised Pumpkaboo. ‘Pumpkaboo.’ Didn’t look like he wished to leave the tiny one to Amelia. Or he was issuing a challenge, maybe, glaring at Amelia’s Pokémon. That he was protecting his fellow pumpkins.
… But, it was quite notable that a few Gourgeists were floating closer to the scene, their ghastly song filling the air and cursing those who hears it, their smiles wide under their gleaming eyes. Not that the additional ghost-typing the song was adding had much effect on those present, but…
Laurinda frowned, looking at the gheists.
‘Chandelure. Be ready. Even with her affinity, the Gourgeists of these woods are still malevolent beings…’ She cautioned her fire-type ghost, who clearly was there for exactly that purpose.
‘Chandelure…’ And Chandelure did make ready, lowering its arms and the fires on the arms lighting up, making ready for a potential encounter.
Mia made a thankful nod before heading off with Allan down the hill. Now, then. Lucian heads into the cavern, and…
Wet Caverns
Above is an accurate representation of the average traveller trying to go through Wet Caverns, assuming the bats are Zubats
The Wet Caverns, known so for the sheer amount of water drenching the contents. It’s a large series of tunnels with no real large open rooms, dividing itself up into a fairly simple maze going from one side to the other. The water inside the tunnels thankfully lit up the contents due to some shining mineral in the liquid, giving rise to a mildly lit set of tunnels. Many people prefer not to travel through the Wet Caverns due to them being long and easy to get lost in, in addition to the large amounts of hostile Pokémon which might attack at any time. Yet, here you are…
Still. There are those who travel through it on a regular basis. Those who have learned the trick finds it a fairly easy shortcut between Lakewatch Town and Pureplain City. For enthusiasts there are always the options of delving deeper into the caverns, fishing or surfing to find out what kind of Pokémon might inhabit the depths and the shallow rivers that flow along the underground corridors. It is known to be fairly diverse when it comes to the Pokémon inhabiting it, giving trainers both water- and cave Pokémon to pick from when they want to catch something.
… The cave has a damp smell to it, due to the water further in. It’s a rocky corridor, with rocks and creatures, but up ahead the road splits into three. To the left, there’s a tunnel in to a rocky tunnel which is dry but still lit somehow, if he wished to avoid getting wet. To the right was a wet, partly drowned tunnel which a person would have to wade to get through. Straight ahead starts a fairly sharply inclining tunnel descending downwards, into darkness.
While Houndour likely yet doesn’t know the smell of a Ducklett, he can smell where Mia and Allan came from. They definitely came from the wetter tunnel, and along with that was the smell of other creatures, one likely that of a bird of some kind. They headed to, and came back through, the wet tunnels to the right. If Lucian wished to pursue, he’d have to get a bit wet.
But before that, did a new person just enter the Wet Caverns? Here comes the welcoming committee! Venipede didn’t have to look for long as a couple of swift movements could be seen overhead almost immediately. Small flapping noises filled the cave as the Zubats came descending rapidly towards them.
Pokédex Entry #41 – Zubat, the Bat Pokémon. It lives in colonies in dark places. It has no eyes, but when flying it is constantly emitting ultrasonic sounds which it uses to navigate through echolocation. As sunlight burns it, it’s usually only found in caves or at night.
Lucian could engage them, if he wants to. Or, he could simply press on, because engaging every Zubat in the cave would be a long and gruesome venture. If pressing on, they’d be flying about much like mosquitoes, very annoying but not really able to do much. Just snarl at them or wave them off when they try to Leech Life occasionally and everything’s fine. As such, here are options as to what to do, anyway.
In addition, Martin and Dawkin was entering the cavern about thirty seconds after he did, should Lucian wish to interact in some way. Though, the Zubats will still be there.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Specify further if you know where you’re going. 2.1. Dry. At the split ahead, you take the rocky, dry tunnel with lots of cover. 2.2. Wet. At the split ahead, you wade through the flooded, soaked tunnel. Houndour can feel the smell from there… 2.3. Deep. At the split ahead, you descend into the very dark, inclining tunnel. 5. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 6. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 7. Familiar Faces; Dawkin & Martin. Just entered the cave behind you.

‘Oh, this guy?’ Larry asked, as the question of where he found his Geodude. ‘There’s a ton of ‘dudes in the Wet Caverns. If you head for the drier areas, they’re literally everywhere. A lot of them may be disguised as normal rocks, though. Kick or have a decently tough Pokémon knock on round Geodude-sized rocks, and you’re bound to run into one eventually!’ Larry smirked as he showed off his knowledge of Geodudes.
‘Ooooow… I-I’ll try…’ Carol said in response to Dawkin’s criticism, before pulling back.
Then, the two headed on, and nothing stopped them from arriving to the Wet Caverns. The road became a climb upwards towards the looming mountain, and soon enough they arrived at the famed hole in the wall.
Entrance of Wet Caverns
It’s just a hole, anyone can go in and attempt getting to the other side. It remains wild, just like the Pokémon that await within. And, this time, there was no event awaiting them at the entrance, so they were free to simply head in.

And, straight ahead is Lucian. He entered the Wet Caverns just before them. He’s currently reacting to three Zubats in some way that isn’t detailed until his next post.

Yupp. Otherwise, the two of them can move as they please. No sign of Virtue or Amethyst yet.

Jeffrey totally looked like it’d continue with an attack after Ralia’s interference, but Yvonne held the Snubbull back with both her hands and could eventually get the dog-Pokémon to calm down seeing as there were no immediate danger.
‘Tsk. I’m sorry about that.’ Yvonne said with a frown, picking up the Pokéball to return Jeffrey into it.
‘Snubull.’ Jeffrey stated before he was returned to the Pokéball. Yvonne then stood up with a sigh and corrected her pose, running her hands through her hair to ensure it was still in perfectly good and orderly twin-tails as she made sure to regain her confident smile and become ready for more adventuring.
‘Well. If that was all, then I’ll be on my way. You have my number.’ Eugene said, the first part to them both, and the latter to Yvonne. He returned two of his Skarmories and then sat up on the remaining one, looking to the girls. ‘Thank you for travelling with the Freecape Ferrymen. I hope to see you again. … Good luck, girls.’ And unless stopped, he’d make his Skarmory take off and they flew away into the skies in the direction of Mt. Strength. Yvonne had nodded to him and then waved him away as he left.
‘Hmgh. If I am to actually afford the trip back, I might actually have to earn some extra money.’ Yvonne complained with a frown on her face as she looked at where Eugene was flying off to. But then she made a decision, gaining a little smirk, and turned to Claire.
‘Alright. I am going to spend some time at the Redcoast City Pokémon Gym. It’s Minor League, as far as I heard, so there should be a few underwhelming challengers. I’m going to challenge the challengers, or maybe just the gym itself if there are none. We could meet up in the shopping district by the Contest Hall in the afternoon? I should have regained a bit of my funds by then, ready to spend. Ho-ho.’ Yvonne suggested, smirking as she spoke to Claire.
So, now it was possible that Claire changed her intended course of action due to Eugene’s or Yvonne’s words. If she did, then post about that and work from there. If she didn’t, Claire and Yvonne parted ways there and Claire headed eastwards. Where she found…
Route 11
Those heading to Route 11 by any other route than from Rainrock may receive a warning of the weather conditions by the clouds gathering overhead to release before climbing over Mt. Strength. Route 11 is comprised mainly of one big road leading in-between Rainrock City and Redcoast City, two cities with very close ties and bonds due to many reasons. Aside from the main road there are farmlands below as well as plenty of small patches of forests and plains around, all under the spotty clouds that sometimes shower the area in a blanket of light rain, sometimes shine down with a hopeful sun through the cracks in the sky but mostly both at the same time.
Route 11 is somewhat of a crossroad. To the east lies Rainrock City, and the path there leads on an incline to the high altitude of the mountain-laid city from the coastal Redcoast City in the west. Should one decide that one does not wish to head in either direction, the path north to Route 12 exists and is considered the main road to bigger places like Bigfjord or Worldedge City or perhaps out over the seas of Route 27. Route 11 is also fairly known for a high amount of abandoned buildings, as those who lived in them moved to neighboring cities in recent times. They stand, looming, free to explore for those who rejoices in emptiness. But, one famous building that perhaps isn’t as abandoned is the Pokéball Factory in the north-east, just off-road in the direction of Route 12.
The route is decently well-trafficked, with trainers and others coming down from Route 12 to Rainrock or Redcoast or onwards, and as such trainers might want to stay off the main road. Plenty of side-roads, though. Due to the rains many hurry past these terrains… but perhaps they’re missing out on a few rare Pokémon in the process?
And it was here Claire arrived to, fortunately spared a shower for the moment, but the main road is still heavily trafficked, the side-roads beckoning to trainers. Lone buildings and patches of forests around potentially attracting to find more Pokémon in… or perhaps she wanted to move on as well? All up to Claire at this point.

Seek trainers. There should be some trainers among those walking back and forth in the area. 4. Talk. There’s plenty of travellers around. Maybe seek answers to any burning questions you have. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Area Specific: Explore Buildings. There’s abandoned buildings. Why not have a look?
Connected areas: Redcoast City. Right behind you. Rainrock City. Requires crossing Route 11, but it’s a pretty well-travelled and safe road. Route 12. Requires crossing Route 11 on the way north, also pretty well-travelled. Pokéball Factory. A turn east on the path north should bring you there.
@Pink Madness Very well. It's been good to have you, then. I hope you've enjoyed your time here with us. We'll be here if you want to come back~!
Well. With that, I think I should take a peek into the waiting list.
So, a lot is going to happen today and tomorrow, due to Easter. In fact, I shouldn't be sitting here right now, but I did want to say that you shouldn't expect any posts during this period of time. I'll see if I can get something up on Tuesday. See you then.
In the meantime, is there anything you'd like to call attention to with my methods of GMing? Anything you'd like changed or so? If you say it, I can take it into consideration. Haha.
