I... have an entry. I'm not very proud of it, I didn't get the inspiration I wanted that I sometimes get, but it'll be in on time.

Edit: ... Yeah. That'll do. Hah.
@Rune_Alchemist

Uxie stayed at a distance hovering from them, watching. Upon Claire's question, it merely gave a small nod and told ‘Uxie,’ in an okay-sounding tone.

Having confirmed that Chikorita, Pip, was indeed alright, Meganium decided he was done for the day and lay down on the grass to relax nearby. The place is pretty quiet and still, except for whatever Claire and co got up to.
@Dusksong I take it you mean "Scratch", not "Tackle"? Otherwise, yupp! Nicely posted. ... The word of describing another person closest to a compliment in the entity of Oaken's vocabulary still sounded like an insult. XD

@Old Amsterdam@Gardevoiran Wooo. Strategy. Yeah, here's some basic examples of how to play Pokémon in a roleplay, haha. Nicely posted.

@Eklispe Yupp, time for me to get this desert ready, haha. Well, it's already pretty ready, I just need to arrange the key details that actually make it postable, heh.

@Rune_Alchemist Nicely posted. Though, heh, Uxie's reaction can be summed up as nodding, going "Uxie" in a decently okay tone, and then watching you quizzically, and that'd be the entity of my post to you. Perhaps the Meganium lying down over there for right now. Haha.
@Rune_Alchemist Here you go, a little continuation of that.

And for you others, the battles are on.

@Dusksong Here's an opponent. Have fun with that one.

@Old Amsterdam@Gardevoiran So, in my initial nine rivals I created, these two might just be the two I was taking the least seriously, and you've teamed them up, hahaha. Not to say they won't be serious eventually, but right now? Yeah, heh. I had a scene I wanted to play out with each of them, and because you had the two team up I had to include both of them like this. XD

@Demon Shinobi So, what will you do in this predicament? Heh.

@Joshua Tamashii Oh, hi. You posted too. Nicely posted. Teh-heh.
@Rune_Alchemist

Uxie looked on patiently and still as Claire was surprised by it, looking at her and evaluating her. It stayed still as she scanned it numerous times, and had her reaction, including to her mission. It did not appear to react to being called a “squinty-eyed nerd looking thing”.

Now, from Ralia’s perspective a bit.

Uxie was still feeling unsure, when Claire went and reinforced that unsurety by talking like that.

"I gotta be honest here, Uxie. Not sure why you'd pick a noob trainer like myself for this sort of thing... … Here Uxie’s eyes suddenly opened wide and Claire froze mid-speech, unmoving. She had been wiped blank for a couple of seconds as Uxie changed its mind. Having done that, however, the unsurety got stronger in a way that felt like “wait, that doesn’t feel right either”. Uxie closed its eyes again and Claire continued talking like nothing had happened, because Claire had no idea Uxie had just wiped her memory for two seconds and then restored it.

Uxie let her continue, showing absolutely no reaction to being patted and I have no idea how Uxie feels to touch, though Ralia could feel over there it wasn’t entirely comfortable with it. When Claire finished on a more positive note, however, Uxie seemed to have decided this was probably good after all. So, when Claire says she’ll give it her best shot…

‘Uxie,’ the Knowledge Pokémon replied, its big head nodding slightly to her, acknowledging her words. After that, it simply hovered where it was. As it informed her, it cannot leave here, so.

At Ralia offering him flowers, Meganium looked at her for a bit. He then proceeded to take a bite out of the ground, spitting out the dirt to the side. He then took the bouquet of flowers with his mouth, pulling it and placing the flowers into the hole it had just bit out. It used its head to push the dirt back around the flowers, and then blew on them. The flowers used the breath of life a Meganium held to take root, becoming a little patch of live flowers in this field. Maganium didn’t look any further at Ralia after that. From the emotions, Ralia could feel that the damage had been mitigated and apology accepted, though she wasn’t entirely forgiven as Meganium was still suspicious of her. Meganium instead focused on the situation in front of them, with Claire, Uxie and Chikorita.

Now, Rhyperior’s kinda huge, two and a half meters tall and with those arms and tail even wider, but he offered his rocky arms to Alice and Skylar. Axl and Tank found that hugging Rhyperior was very much like hugging a living mountain, and so did Skylar a bit after. A mountain that appreciated the hug, at the very least. The huge rock with a drill on it smiled proudly at Axl’s statement of how cool he was.

'Rhy!' Rhyperior called to Alice’s hopes for battle and fun in the future, and then looked after her as she was on her way out. He then grinned as well as a Rhyperior possibly could at that she’d win quickly and come in to give her company, lifting the “thumb” on his three-fingered hand in a way that somewhat resembled a thumbs-up, then let her move out with the rest, Rhyperior left standing where he was.

@Dusksong

Oaken turned towards Eryn as she approached him. Through his glasses he held an expressionless stare, looking her and Dei over for a second or so. He wasn’t didn’t have the same somewhat dark look that he had when he was speaking to Kalmia. Eventually he nodded.

'Alright, you look agreeable enough. Let’s do it on the street, so in case your Charmander gets knocked over he doesn’t lit the grass on fire,' Oaken said, though that isn’t actually a danger for Charmanders so Eryn would not have to worry. He took a number of steps before retrieving a Pokéball from his clothes, looking towards Eryn as he stopped.

'I’m Oaken, and I plan on defeating this League as efficiently as possible. … But that hardly matters right now.'

Pokémon Trainer Oaken wants to battle!

'C’mon, new partner. Show me what you got,' Oaken said in a calm and analyzing tone as he opened the ball in his hand, a flash of light as a purple creature took shape before him. One with claws and a long, poisonous tail…

'Skorupi!'

Pokédex Entry #451 – Skorupi, the Scorpion Pokémon. It can be found in arid areas as well as in swamps. It is known to bury itself in sand and await its prey, after which the tail claws grips onto a target and injects poison. It tenaciously holds on until the poison has taken effect. It can live for a full year without food.

'I don’t believe Charmander knows any fire-moves at this level, does he?' Oaken asked, looking between the Pokémon. 'Fortunate, I would have been in trouble otherwise,' he said, and then flipped up his Pokédex to check Skorupi’s moves. After a bit of analyzing…

'Poison Sting… is too risky. It requires chance to be on my side, to manage to poison the enemy. I will not rely on something so uncertain. Skorupi! Leer once, then Knock Off!'

'Skorup!' the scorpion sounded out, before its blue eyes lit up, intending on shining out and lowering his opponent’s defences. Since all moves take roughly the same amount of time, except for without counting the time to cross the distance between the Pokémon, Eryn can make two commands too. She knows what Oaken has planned, as efficient as he is. What will she do?

@Old Amsterdam@Gardevoiran

'Oh. Um. Good. Uh,' Simon started in response to Skylar’s statement, though was still left standing there somewhat dumbfounded.

'Oh. Huh. Me and…?' Simon asked, blinking a bit overhearing the words of Alice and Skylar.

'… Me,' Vivia filled in, walking to stand beside the smaller boy, working to overcome herself. Simon gave her a look-over, then grinned in determination, his vigour returning.

'… Alright! We’ll be the very best team, like no team ever was!' he announced proudly, grabbing his Pokéball, and throwing. 'Go, Simon #8!' he called, looking excitedly as the Pokéball opened wide and with a flash, an oblong tube of a creature inside a small bubble of simulated water took shape.

'Barbo…?' the Pokémon looked about itself while her trainer opened his Pokédex to check something.

Pokédex Entry #339 – Barboach, the Whiskers Pokémon. It buries itself in mud with only its whiskers visible, awaiting prey. The whiskers are very sensitive and serve as a superb radar-system, giving it awareness of its surroundings. It is covered by a slimy film which prevents intrusion of germs and is very slippery if a foe tries to grab it.

Meanwhile, Vivia took out her Pokéball from her bag that we’ll say she was carrying, and-

She took a pause.

She inspected the Pokéball in her hand, then she inspected her bag closely.

Looking suspicious, she still decided everything seemed fine, and turned to face Alice and Skylar.

'Alright, let’s go then!' she said, making a motion of lobbing the Pokéball. 'Go, Scr-''Rooo~!'

There was two different flashes of light and one distressed wide-eyed expression on Vivia as one Pokémon came from the thrown Pokéball and the other came from her bag without any form of solicitation. From the thrown Pokéball came a yellow creature with big head with large white eyes and teeth, wearing its skin like oversized trousers, while in front of it a small armless orange spirit with blue eyes and an electric aura smiled brightly.

Pokédex Entry #559 – Scraggy, the Shedding Pokémon. It stretches its saggy skin up to its neck to protect itself, as it has a rubbery elasticity which reduces damage. They have a skull heavy enough to destabilize it, but it’s proud of its sturdiness and is known to headbutt anyone who makes eye-contact with it. They’re known to travel in small groups, where it gets more respect the saggier their skin.

Pokédex Entry #479 – Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon. Its body is composed of plasma. It is known to inhabit abandoned buildings. It is a mischievous Pokémon, known to possess machinery to play pranks and cause destruction. Its type changes depending on the machine it possesses.

'ROTOM! NO! BACK!' Vivia called desperately, but Rotom was already out, turning and looking into the eyes of Scraggy. Scraggy blinked a bit, noting the eyes of Rotom before it… and had the predictable reaction.

'SCRAGGY!' the yellow Pokémon announced, promptly thrusting its head at Rotom, and predictably fell straight through the giggling ghost-type which drifted away unharmed. Scraggy scrambled to get onto its feet and then charged after Rotom… who was leading it away from the battlefield.

'STOP IT! BAD ROTOM! BACK!' Vivia grabbed the ghost-type’s Pokéball and dashed after the fleeing Pokémon, which was an expert at dodging Vivia’s attempts to return it to its Pokéball while leading Scraggy away…

Meanwhile, Simon wasn’t even noticing, just staring into his Pokédex with a grin.

'There… finally…' Simon spoke, before thrusting his Pokédex into the air with triumph. 'I FINALLY HAVE A POKÉMON WITH AN ATTACK MOVE!'

'First I was given a Hoppip (#2), but it only knew Synthesis! So first thing I did, I went oceanside fishing, and caught a Magikarp (#3)! Of course, that one only knew Splash, but I had it Struggle until I could catch a Wailmer (#4)! But, IT ONLY KNEW SPLASH AND GROWL! Then I headed into Infested Woods instead and caught a Burmy (#5), BUT IT ONLY KNEW PROTECT! Then I somehow fell down into a hole into some form of vast underground, where I met this cool Cubone (#6) which I caught, BUT IT ONLY KNEW GROWL AND TAIL WHIP! I climbed out into the Silent Forest, where I met this cute little Ralts (#7) that I convinced to join me, BUT IT ONLY KNEW GROWL! Finally, FINALLY I’ve come back here and #8 FINALLY has a damaging move! Finally, FINALLY!'

Simon proceeded to point his Pokédex at Skylar and Seabreeze excitedly.

'I hope you’re ready! Because me and #8 are going to Mud-Slap your bird into-' Simon suddenly paused, his excitement frozen. 'Mud-Slap your bird into…' He brought his Pokédex back in front of him to read. 'Mud-Slap…' Then he looked at Seabreeze. 'Bird…' Simon proceeded to look back and forth a couple of times. 'Oh, you gotta be kidding me.'

Somewhere in the background, Jacques had to walk back into the lab a bit to not laugh out loud at the expense at his hopeful.

A second or so of contemplating life afterwards Simon spun to look after Vivia in desperation. 'VIVIA! I NEED SCRAGGY’S HEADBUTT!'

Vivia had just precisely managed to grab onto Scraggy, lifting him away from Rotom and holding one arm for Scraggy to stand on and another covering Scraggy’s eyes so that he didn’t see Rotom abusing his headbutting instincts.

'Scraggy doesn’t know Headbutt yet!' she called back, walking back with a Rotom giggling and pestering around her.

'What do you mean, “doesn’t know Headbutt”!? The Pokédex clearly states he headbutts anything that looks at him, and he just tried to do it on Rotom!'

'He tries to Headbutt, but it becomes Struggle, he can’t do it properly! His only attack right now is Low Kick!'

'Low K- That’s also bad against the bird!'

'I’m sorry, but I can’t help those things!'

'Roootom~!' Rotom called in unhelpfully, trying to cause Scraggy to go after him, which he would have had not Vivia held onto him.

'Oh, you little-'

Vivia then let go of Scraggy, who blinked in surprise as he fell down and fell over on the ground because of the lack of balance in his body due to too heavy a head, and Vivia then grabbed another Pokéball and threw into the ground between her and Rotom. A purple furrball with antennas and red eyes popped out.

'Venonat!'

Pokédex Entry #48 – Venonat, the Insect Pokémon. Its many small eyes function like radars and detect insects at night which it eats. A coat of thin, stiff hair that oozes poison covers its body for protection. Its eyes are capable of shooting beams and enable psychic powers. It's attracted to light.

'Venonat! Foresight!'

'Ven!' Venonat focused her eyes, and a red glow emitted from it, focusing on Rotom. Rotom felt an odd change on him as he was identified.

'Rom?' he asked, before Vivia suddenly came flying with a full round-house kick into the ghost’s face, the kick sending a pulse of loud impact-energy through the area and sending the ghost flying way over multiple buildings towards an infinite horizon. 'ROOOOOOOOoooooootoooooooooooommm...' … One could then swear a small flashing star where Rotom vanished into the sky.

'I’m sorry about that, let’s continue before he comes back…' she said, placing back her apparently really strong leg back onto the ground and turning back towards Alice and Skylar, breathing out while Scraggy looked back at her in slight confusion.

'We’re facing those two,' Vivia said to Scraggy as the little yellow Pokémon was finally put to face the right opponents, and it called out excitedly. 'Scraggy!'

'Alright! We’re ready!' Simon announced, not sure about their chances, but nonetheless determined.

Pokémon Trainers Simon and Vivia wants to battle!

'What moves do you have!?' Simon asked sideways at Vivia.

'Um. Leer, Low Kick and Sand Attack,' Vivia answered, taking a moment between keeping the info to herself or letting Simon know. Simon grinned.

'Great! Give them your best Leer! Be the best Leerer, like no-one has ever Leered! Meanwhile, #8! Mud Slap at the Horsea!'

'Erk. Okay. Scraggy! Leer!' Vivia didn’t look entirely comfortable being ordered around, but agreed with the plan.

'Barboach!' 'Scraaag!'

Both Pokémon sounded out as the Barboach started swimming through the air for Cici while Scraggy stood back to focus its Leer at the two opposing Pokémon. So, what would Skylar and Alice do?

@Demon Shinobi

Rodger turned to Axl, his eyes showing a hint of interest in his challenge. Rodger smirked wide, and closed his eyes for a bit.

'Heh, fine by me. I do have a stronger team, but right now I’m limited to using this Pokémon I just received. … That said, you might find this fairly challenging, but not because of reasons you could have known beforehand,' Rodger said, his eyes trailing over Tank as the trainer was taking up his Pokéball and preparing for battle.

Pokémon Trainer Rodger wants to battle!

'Alright, here’s the challenge for you. Let’s go, Spike!' Rodger said, throwing out his Pokéball into the air, and with a flash, a round metal ball with green spikes sticking out from all sides took shape…

'Ferrrrro…'

Pokédex Entry #597 – Ferroseed, the Thorn Seed Pokémon. Living in caves, they stick their spikes into the walls or ceiling to absorb the minerals in the rock, mainly iron. In case it is threatened it shoots out a barrage of spikes in its defense, after which it rolls away to safety.

Notable Ability; Iron Barbs - Does damage to those who make contact with this Pokémon.

'… Yupp. That’s your current situation. I’m just going to go ahead and start out with Harden. Harden, Spike!' Rodger said, smiling confidently.

'Feeerrro…' Spike sounded out, starting to prepare to harden up. … It was ferociously slow, though. What would Axl and Tank do?

'… Ferroseed? At this level where most Pokémon only know Scratch or Tackle?' Kalmia asked, looking with a raised eyebrow at Jacques beside her.

'It is, however, slow, and fairly vulnerable to those who can damage it, I plan for it to challenge Rodger to think,' Jacques simply explained, having returned from the lab. Kalmia didn’t look like she was buying it, frowning before looking to Axl and Tank, a bit worried.

@Dusksong@Old Amsterdam@Gardevoiran Yupp. Nicely posted, all you who posted. Good, progressing posts that I have basically written the continuation for.

@Demon Shinobi The rest don't strictly need your posts anymore to continue, I realize, because you'll be in separate battles now. So, lesse, how was it I usually said this? I plan on posting in around 24 hours, or when you post. Yeah, that should do.
@Rune_Alchemist Yupp. That is a pretty amusing reaction. I'm not entirely sure recounting all that in detail was necessary, but heh, it works out. Yeah, nicely posted. I'll reply soon enough.
@Demon Shinobi@Old Amsterdam@Gardevoiran@Dusksong Alright, you four. You get to tell me outside the roleplay if you have any preferences for how you want to conduct this battle and with whom. I realize I didn't bring any of the happy rivals here, but heh, these are the ones that have gotten the least screen-time because those that were to encounter them left. So, here. These are basically the most competitive-minded of the rivals, minus perhaps Cathia, I realize. Haha. Anyways. How are you all feeling about this?

I had a lot in here that I wanted to include, hah. Tell me if I forgot something. Tell me if you interrupt somewhere dramatically in a fashion that changes the progression of the rest of the post. Yeah. Hah.

I didn't feel there was room to show ALL of Jacques' Pokémon here, hah. If you want to see the rest, you're going to have to ask him again slightly later. He'll be around.

@Rune_Alchemist And for you, hah.

So, uh, hi, yeah. Plot called, it wanted you to know it actually exists. Hahahahaha.
@Demon Shinobi@Old Amsterdam@Gardevoiran@Dusksong

Jacques was momentarily taken aback by Alice’s excited appearance, lifting his top-hat a little to look at her, but quickly smirked, quite in his element in obtaining recognition from the young fan. He crossed his arms, smirking down on the rambling young girl, waiting for her to complete her speech. He looked quite amused. Kalmia, meanwhile, looked stunned for a couple of moments as Alice continued, then breathed out a little in relief, happy for the excitement of the young trainer. Of course, Jacques continued looking more than pleased as Alice kept going claiming she’d one day be coming for him…

'Fu-fu,' Jacques started with his little laugh. 'Well, then, young Alice. You’ve sparked my interest. I’ll be looking forward to what you become,' he simply said, smirking at her, then…

'As for why I’m here…'

Then all that earlier.

Seemed like that the present trainers were, in fact, desiring a battle. Kalmia nodded to them and Jacques smirked more, he hadn’t been able to stop smirking since Alice’s little thing earlier. But before that, Axl came up and asked to see one of his Pokémon. Axl got himself smirked at by the glassed man in a top-hat.

'Fu-fu. So I’ve been asked again. Very well. So, to answer your earlier question, Ms. Alice…' Jacques turned his head slightly glance at Alice, though was still facing Axl. He made a quick swipe of his left hand past his clothes, not seemingly actually entering any pockets but exiting on the other side with a Pokéball nonetheless, said Pokéball tumbling to the floor as Jacques finished his sentence. 'Why, yes. Yes, I did bring him,' Jacques chuckled some more as the ball hit the floor, opened with a flash of light, and a giant Pokémon took shape, filling the majority of that side of the room.

'RRRRHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY... perior!' The Pokémon roared, standing on two large legs and lifting its arms high, its sheer bulk filling a massive amount of space in here. As Alice would know, Rhyperior always let out this particular cry when let out.

Pokédex Entry #464 – Rhyperior, the Drill Pokémon. Evolving its intelligence further from Rhydon, Rhyperior uses the muscles in its arms to shoot rocks or Geodude as cannonballs from the holes in its palms. Its armour can withstand the force of a volcanic eruption.

'To think I’d be showing you off inside this room twice, fu-fu,' Jacques smirked up at his Pokémon.

'Rhy-rhy!' Rhyperior grinned as well as it could jollily down at Jacques in turn, after having done a sound that was pretty clearly him trying to copy the sound of his trainer’s laugh. In any case, Jacques turned smirking to Axl, who had been the one to ask.

'This is my partner. They know me as the Servant of the Mountain, and this guy is very much my mountain. He’s supported me throughout my journey, joining me at my lowest of lows and helping me reach the highest of heights. This guy’s a gentle brute that’d never hurt a fly, assuming said fly is not challenging him to a Pokémon Battle, f-fu,'

'Don’t do that too often, it’s probably not good for my floor,' Kalmia inputted from the side, looking up Rhyperior’s undoubtedly heavy body.

'Rhy!?' Rhyperior suddenly looked shocked at the notion of having damaged the floor, starting to slowly lift one foot to look under for damages. Seeing none, he very, VERY gently sat his foot down on the floor again, expression suddenly stressed as he became careful of doing any unintended damage to his surroundings. In any case. Jacques smirked to the trainers, and then it was time to keep going.

'So, you’re accepting the challenge? I’m glad. Let us head out, the four of them I called are waiting outside,' he said, moving for the door, Rhyperior looking panicked behind him as he was extremely unable to exit through that door without doing massive damage to it.

In any case. Outside. The outside was a regular street with houses lining the sides, but the asphalt as well as the small garden outside the lab was more than enough for Pokémon battles.

A party of four individuals approached. The four which could get here as quickly as possible that weren’t necessarily caught up in something else.

The first of them eagerly dashed to stand at a slight distance from them and point at them eagerly, a short boy in blue and more blue.

'There you are, I have been waiting for you! Quivering in your boots is entirely okay, for you are standing in the presence of a future Pokémon menace!' he announced in a voice too high-pitched for how mature he wanted to sound, before placing his hands at his hips, and calling out loudly.

'I am Simon, and once again, I announce! I will be the very best, like no-one ever was!' … So he says. An eyebrow on Kalmia twitched a little seeing him, after which she turned to look at Jacques.

'… Still can’t believe you picked up Simon,' she rather quietly asked Jacques.

'I figured it’d be amusing, fu-fu,' Jacques answered. 'Besides, you can’t fault his enthusiasm, can you? He has the drive to grow strong.'

Kalmia looked at Jacques, then shrugged, before looking to the next. She threw a glance at Skylar, for no apparent reason, then back at the trainers.

The second one was an older boy with brown hair in a dark jacket, looking them over with a little gleam in his eyes, looking nothing short of confident.

'Heh, more trainers from Kalmia. More chances for me to face strong trainers. Alright, I’m Rodger. I’m looking forward to comparing how you are now to when we fight in the league,' he said, standing about looking confident. He looked to Jacques and nodded.

'Thank you, once again, for this chance,' he said.

'Think nothing of it,' Jacques said, despite his head being held high and proud. 'Your promise was what gave you your chance.'

'You know that I’d have been in a very, very bad place if it weren’t for you?' Rodger asked with a grin, meeting Jacques smile. Then, Rodger looked to the trainers before him. 'I intend to make the most of this chance I’ve been given, I’ll never stop being grateful. Therefore, don’t expect me to hold back, you hear?' So he said, confident.

The third was a boy with green hair and glasses, frowning as he saw them approaching, seemingly silently judging them as the time came closer.

'Hi, again, Oaken~ Been enjoying your trip?' Kalmia waved a bit to him, greeting with a playful tone.

'… You picked up more rabble,' Oaken stated in a disgruntled tone.

'Now, now, you already have a Pokédex now, you can’t still be bitter about me giving them Pokédexes before I gave you one,' Kalmia waved a finger at him, not sounding very serious. Oaken was less than amused.

'Once again, I will prove you made a mistake. I didn’t pass all your tests only for you to make fun of me.'

'Ah, but ask yourself, was there an invisible test mixed in there that you didn’t know about, that you didn’t pass?' Kalmia made a show of considering, frowning and putting a finger to her lips to indicate thinking.

'… I repeat,' Oaken stated, frowning. 'I’ll prove you made a mistake,' he stated, before turning to the available trainers, awaiting the challenge.

The fourth was a brown-haired young lady who looked focused but nervous, standing a bit away from the others but nonetheless prepared herself for what’s to come.

'… I’m Vivia,' she stated, looking slightly at a loss of words after she said it, looking them over.

'My former assistant, before Jacques decided to snag her with the promise of adventure. Sorry I didn’t notice,' Kalmia said from over there, sounding apologetic.

'No, I didn’t say anything, so-' Vivia coughed and shook her head. 'That’s in the past!' she declared, turning towards you new trainers with newfound vigour.

'I’m Vivia! I will seek to become the Pokémon Champion, and thereafter the greatest Pokémon Researcher I can be! I’m str- going to become strong, so face me at your own risk!' she announced, pointing to the trainers.

'That’s the spirit!' Kalmia grinned to her. After that, she then looked to Jacques a bit.

'These four, huh? Where’s the other five right now?'

'Joshua was saying he and Ewan was on a dramatic mission to escort a pure and compassionate maiden to her destination and as such couldn’t come, apparently. Maple was too forward-facing and coming back didn’t appeal to her when she’s mid-adventure, and she’s currently dragging Ellyn along. Cathia outright refused, reasons not given. Besides, these four agreed to come back in exchange for an additional Pokémon for varying reasons…'

'THE STARTER YOU GAVE ME HAD NO ATTACK MOVES!' - Simon

'Jacques helped me when I needed help. If he requests, I comply.' - Rodger

'I earn another Pokémon, which expands my options for an early growth.' - Oaken

'I got lost in Wet Caverns, so it wasn’t that far to walk ba- No, wait, that’s not- Aaah, I didn’t say anything!' - Vivia

'… So it all works out,' Jacques simply said, nodding proudly. Kalmia threw a single look at him, then shrugged, and then turned to you four smiling.

'Alright! So, anyone in particular you want to fight?' So she asked.

'They get to pick their opponents this time, too!?' Simon asked, looking a little frustrated.

'Why, yes. Because you can see their Pokémon,' Kalmia kindly explained, without looking at him. Simon took and processed that a few seconds, before smiling and putting his hands on his hips.

'Fine! I’ll grow to be a trainer that can accept any challenge! I’ll battle all four of you at once by myself if you so desire! As soon as you see what I…' … Simon suddenly paused, his smile dropping, his eyes suddenly widening in surprise as he looked towards one of them. Skylar, that is.

'… Is he…?' he asked quietly. Kalmia smiled, and nodded to him. '… Oh,' Simon sounded out a very small sound of realization, suddenly very much quieter than before, not able to take his eyes off Skylar right now. Kalmia just smiled at the reaction before turning to her trainers again.

'So, who’d you like to battle? Do you want to battle alone, or perhaps in teams? Any particular preferences?' So she asked. It was up to them, now.

@Rune_Alchemist

When Ralia got too close to Meganium, the grass-Pokémon would suddenly rapidly turn to glare at her from a closer distance, wary of her shenanigans. One way of saying “nope, too close”. He wouldn’t do anything, however, and simply keep walking after where Chikorita ran after having made himself clear to Ralia. Still, it was allowed to pick flowers around here and follow after Meganium, fortunately having an emotion-sensor so she could sense what flowers were traps and which ones were approachable.

After being scooped up, Chikorita laughed alongside Claire, looking more than happy to be petted and relax in Claire’s lap after a fun chase. She was relaxing there… when the other being appeared and Claire looked at it, before all the rest happened.

Now, within that bright expanse that Claire had found herself in, and that image.

There was no response to Claire’s first question, the emptiness simply maintained for her to further consider. The bright void lingered, until she finally gave her answer. Even though she couldn’t feel herself grin, the same mental change that came with grinning most certainly happened.

With that, her mind was suddenly given information she couldn’t possible have learned herself. Recorded within her memory was a location, the location of that girl in addition to two different routes to her. One of them was in Mt. Strength. Following a path that was inserted into her mind she could travel deeper and deeper, until she was no longer in the tunnels of Mt. Strength but in a maze of an underground. Following a passage east she could then reach a metal door that could be opened by a keycard. The facility keeping the girl was through there. Her new memory cautioned her of guards within the underground corridors under Isson, for they used them for unseen travel. The underground entrance was closer to the girl, but also harder to reach from the outside. It tended to be guarded due to the number of hostile Pokémon in the underground.

The alternative was reaching them from above. Inside Worldedge City, the largest city in Isson, there was a district called the Industrial District. Within that there was an abandoned factory, highlighted in Claire’s memory, which was very much not abandoned. Once again, it could be opened only by a keycard, unless she could find a way in besides the door. Inside the factory, a path was routed from both entrances to a huge security door, that which needed a higher-level keycard, not available to the grunts. Then, first there, the path to the girl was open and clear… with the exception of the guards that would be there. The factory entrance was easier to reach, but then she’d have to cross a larger portion of base to reach the goal. The path wasn’t strictly guarded, but it took her straight through the base full of people who were all capable of raising the alarm.

An emphasis of importance was put on the girl. It wasn’t explained why, but the memory emphasized that the girl was very important, perhaps for the whole world.

A picture was shown in her memory. It was of the Pokémon League, and rows of shadowy figures stood on a row. She couldn’t see them well, but the memory made clear these were all the Elite Four, all the Gym Leaders and all the powerful trainers. It was clear they were kind-hearted, dependable and could be trusted… well, some were a bit worse but that wasn’t the focus here. There was one exception. One of them opened their eyes, and the eyes shone red at Claire with vile intentions, their aura malicious. One of them could not be trusted. One of them was bad. This person could not learn of this, no matter what. … The memory could not tell her who it was.

A figure appeared in front of her in the void. It was a Pokémon, floating before her. She couldn’t make it out, something prevented her from making it out, but she knew it was the one that was providing this information to her. It was locked here, at this stone, it couldn’t move. However, it was cursed with knowledge, knowledge something had to be done. It wasn’t safe. It, along with its kin in Highhill Town and Lakewatch Town, were not safe. Someone needed to call them, show their worth, prove their character. Only the one before Claire could without a test know the individual was suitable.

In Highhill Town, at the top of the hill, was a collection of rocks standing in a circle, their mystery never discovered. A code was provided to Claire. Walk to the center of the rocks, and then, along with her Pokémon, perform in order…

First, a show of generosity.
Second, a show of sadness.
Third, a show of joy.
Fourth, a show of anger.
Finally, a show of passion.

If it was performed with good intention, then something would appear.

In Lakewatch Town, there was a building called Descent Tower. It lead to a place called Flooded Lakewatch. Bring a Pokémon that knew dive. Seek out the Drain. When there, cross the Drain on her own, without the help of her Pokémon, reach the end and prove her dedication to the task. When in there, things could occur in her mind that would not usually. If she could overcome that, cross through the drain and reach the rocks that waited within, then once again, something would appear before her, acknowledging her actions.

These tasks did not have to be performed by her, even if they needed to be performed by someone. However, she was urged to be careful who this information was shared to. A wrongful tip could have devastating consequences, the hint of devastating consequences backed up by the shadows of something enormous behind the shape, not clarified of what it actually was.

However… for all that was shown to her, she was not in a rush. It emphasized that those who were researching on the girl would not have progress anytime soon, for they were mistaken in an initial assumption. She had time to grow strong, to prepare, to take care of things as she went along. But… this has to be taken care of eventually, and this Pokémon could only trust so many people. For if they knew it was here… they’d come take it immediately, and it would be unable to stop them. For it cannot move without risking terrible consequences, the huge shadow emphasized once again.

Hold onto what had been placed within her hand. Should the worst come to pass, it would come to use when combined with the two items provided by the Pokémon’s two kin.

That would be all.
