Risa was vaguely aware of being scooped up. Through hazy vision, she noticed Kyran's blue eyes looking down at her as he told her they weren't going to leave her behind. He had changed back from his fox form. She smiled at him. She was so happy he was safe. She was really lucky to have such good friends. Still, she worried that she'd weigh them down. The fire was starting to spread through the forest, making her heart-ache. She wanted to stop the fight and make sure all the animals were safe!

She laid her head weakly on Kyran's chest, absolutely drained. A squeeze on her arm made her glance over to see Dionaea. She too assured her that they wouldn't leave her. She smiled and managed to take her hand and give it a gentle squeeze. Her eyes traveled to the wound on Dionaea's leg and quickly began trying to heal it without hesitation. "I got your back."She whispered to her. The dark elf that been attacking started to threaten Kyran, promising torture for them in the future. Terror filled her. Risa had no idea what she had been truly signing up for by trying to help the light elves. She was willing to risk her lives but now Kyran's and Dionaea's lives?

Dionaea started speaking to the human again after the dark elf seemed to leave. The human started speaking strange words, moving her under his shield and trying to proceed to a "Bastion" whilst lighting the forest aflame. "No don't light it on fire! He's gon-"Risa began to protest but her eyes rolled back and she collapsed very suddenly. Trying to heal Dionaea was clearly the last straw before her body insisted on rest.

Fairies came fluttering with tools and water to the site as they were departing, their wings working quickly as they hastily arrived to try to put out the fire. Hades jumped in front of the four, looking like rather exhausted himself. He had come back as quick as he could with reinforcement. Many male fairies had come with weapons, ready to fight. It was clear Hades had spilled some beans. He looked toward Dionaea with saddened eyes. His brown fur was wet, indicating he had run through streams and such, taking shortcuts where he could.

Dionaea. I had to tell them. I apologize. Someone notified Aklenroth of your betrayal and you're wanted for treason. Risa's mother has instructed me to lead you all to a secret location. Have them all follow me to this home. She has left a basket of food. Your parents most likely are aware of this.

(Dionaea can lead them all after Hades to this home for rest and we can skip to morning. You may continue the night if you so wish.)

Malachi was holding on tight to the saddle on his dragon as they made their way. He had his head hanging over the side, trying to look for anything unusual. Sure enough, there was a fire-breathing, menacing Dracolich up ahead. He could not say he had ever quite seen that before. Could it be possible there were actual humans underneath it? He watched as the Dracolich maneuvered dangerously low into a clearing to blow fire into the woods, pursuing some sort of prey.

Before he could come up with a reaction, Marion swooped down into a small field so fast and suddenly that Malachi could not help but go tumbling into the grass below. He rolled over, his head aching, the ground beneath him feeling like it was quaking yet again. His bow was jabbing in his back uncomfortably and some arrows had spilled out of his quiver. It took him a moment to recover, pushing himself up on his palms. The severity of the situation went through his mind like a strike of lightning, allowing his body to react similarly as he scrambled to his feet, rushing to collect his arrows. He brushed the dirt off his clothes with mild disgust as he glanced up in the sky. That crazy dragon was throwing himself into battle with the Dracolich. Was he suicidal?

It all started to make sense when a female elf started to run toward him, probably about to run past him in her panic. A male and female were following behind her. Normally, his first thought would be that they were all foolish to think they could outrun a Dracolich, but that's why Marion had thrown himself at it. To be fair, he was probably protecting Malachi since the creature couldn't have been possibly able to think this far and understand this much. This was their only chance to get away. He took in the appearance of the male and female. Their ears were not pointed and their clothes were ridiculous. These were definitely humans. The mission had been successful against all odds.

For it to continue to be successful, they'd have to continue running away. This meant Malachi had to let the dragon essentially sacrifice itself. Marion was a strong boy but he had grown up tame and under kind care, unlike the rough and violent upbringing of most dragons in the Daka region. Malachi felt his heart ache. It was too late. Marion had made his choice and they had no time to go back. "Humans! Elf girl! Keep running and we shall escape. I will introduce myself soon after."

Memories filled his mind as he began to run with them. The sweet little silver face that had peaked out between the cracks of his egg. That image was forever edged in his mind even though it had been four years since then. It hurt to think he might perish so young. It had been so long since he had come to care for something since his family.

I'm sorry, my good friend. Your sacrifice will not be in vain.

Risa stared in astonishment for a moment as the human seemed to summon a shield and sword made out of the earth itself. It was true! Humans did possess powerful abilities. There was hope. She did not quite understand what he was going on about but it sounded honorable. He seemed to have a very heroic and brave personality. Perhaps they had lucked out with him. A wall of chevron appeared in the way and Risa craned her neck, glancing up at its height in awe. He had yelled some strange words that had also confused Dionaea, prompting her to repeat them. Risa liked the sound of his words. "Oooh. Deus Vult! Yeah!" She cheered, having no idea what she was saying.

"You are doing amazing, hun!"She encouraged Jean, "I know this must be all so scary so please be proud of yourself."

Xenelith had seemed less than pleased with Risa's words and was ready to strike her for them. Dionaea joined at her side, boldly standing up to the elf. She never gave up and the two of them often encouraged each other to be positive even in the worst situations. She was doing so great and Risa was very proud of her friend. Everyone was being so courageous. Risa was a bit jealous. There was no use lying to herself. She was growing fearful. Her vision was doubling as if she had been drinking in Roshmi. The fatigue felt like a boulder weighing her down. Not only was there a human here, but Kyran and Dionaea were both present. She cared about them so much and she was not sure she could heal them right now if they needed, or even help defend them. However, she kept a stoic face. If they caught on to her certainty slipping, theirs would also and it would risk them all even more.

She had been about to flinch, feeling a bit too weak to throw herself out of the way of Xenelith's oncoming attack when he seemed to get distracted. A female voice screamed bloody-murder, making Risa stumble in surprise. She glanced over at the speaker. It was another human. The poor girl was terrified! Risa wanted to move over to aid her but she didn't want to leave Dionaea, Kyran and the rock-summoning human.
Risa noticed roots attacking the dark elf and sending him into a tree. For a moment, she had assumed it was Dionaea but then she noticed another fairy. It was a male fairy and she recognized him. People had pointed out his peculiar appearance often.

The elf whistled and wolves emerged, causing Risa to backtrack. "It doesn't have to be this way. Why can't we just talk a little more?" She tried to reason with the elf uselessly, her violet eyes wide. She did not get to see where the wolves were going before one was tackling her to the grass. She hit the ground, her vision blackening for a split second from the impact. Her eyes fluttered open to the sight of a snout in her face and loud growling, drool nearly spilling from between his very sharp teeth.

Sweet creature, I don't want to hurt you. Please have mercy.

Risa swallowed heavily. It felt as if she had just swallowed an entire rock. She was frozen with fear and too weak to properly think. She truly did hate to hurt animals. She saw the wolf biting Dionaea out of the corner of her eye and inhaled in fear. She began to creep back on her elbows, adrenaline coursing through her veins. She tried to jump to her feet but animal grabbed onto her thigh, giving her a pretty deep bite. A cry of pain escaped her lips but the attention of both her and the wolf was stolen by another voice. "Look out!" Risa heard the voice of the female who had just had screamed. Flames seemed to cover the fur of the wolf out of nowhere, distracting it enough for him to let go of her. She took the opportunity to scramble to her feet, thankful to the kind girl. Risa swore to repay her and help the girl but it seemed like the other male fairy was aiding her.

Pain shot up her thigh and she felt blood trickle down leg under her skirt. She tried to pay it no mind as she fixated her gaze on Dionaea, thankfully finding that she had dealt with her attacker. She could not quite see how Kyran was fairing. She felt her knees crumble as she found herself back in the grass. The wolf probably would attack her soon again once it recovered. Trying to fly would probably result in her crash-landing approximately one minute after taking off. She could hear Dionaea, urging them to leave but she was sure she'd faint any moment now. "I'm so sorry, Dionaea. You may have to retreat without me. " She started to cough, smoke masking her vision as she became aware of the fire spreading to the grass around them, "Please help the others escape! I'll be alright."

The silly human thought she was an angel. She couldn't help but blush, pleased with the compliments he was bestowing her. She began to speak to him, slurring a bit in her words, "Oh don't be silly. It's nothing! As long as you're okay. I'm afraid we can't get you back to Earth right now-"She broke off as a panther jumped into her view.

Risa whirled around as fast as a weakened fairy such as herself could at the presence of the dark elf. She wondered how he had found them so quickly. She frowned at his words, her brows furrowing as she burst out,"Know what we have done?!"Risa was often outspoken."Don't you see this is good for everyone? Even you! Stop following Aklenroth so blindly to save your own skin, coward!"

She let out a cry as Dionaea yanked her away from the incoming blast. Her vision blurred and it almost felt like the earthquake was still ongoing, the world tilting beneath her. The color had drained from her face. She held Dionaea's shoulder to steady herself as her brain seemed to swirl in her skull. A flash of a familiar shade of orange went toward the human. She was dimly aware of Kyran's voice but she was too set on fighting the dark elf to focus in on it. They were in a bad spot here. Risa knew if she kept angrily yelling at him that she would not be taken seriously. She gritted her teeth and tried to let go of Dionaea, stumbling forward, her long hair nearly covering her deadpan countenance. "Don't you dare hurt my friends. Others are on the way and you will be outnumbered. "

@FunnyGuyBoth are good to go. I read through them. You can post them in the character tab. Sorry for the delay.

@hide on mana I read through it. The weapon thing is fine. However, unfortunately, demi-humans do not possess magic so please take out the umbrakinesis. As soon as you do that, you are good to go!

Risa was so grateful for Dionaea's comfort. She hugged her and smiled at her, sighing as well. "You have a habit of being right all the time. I love you." She wiped her tears and hurried after her and Hades as they made their way to the human. It was hard to push the elves' deaths out of her mind but she knew she had to manage it. This was the biggest adventure they had ever been on. She knew as long as she had her friend by her side, they'd be okay.

Howls filled the night, prompting Dionaea to state that they had to get there first. The hairs on Risa's neck stood up. The sound of wolves hunting someone or something down was all too familiar. What they had done was clearly no secret. She wondered if someone had ratted them out or if Aklenroth's followers had known all along. It began to sink in at that moment that they may have put themselves in real danger, more than they had ever been in before. She glanced forward at her canine companion, who glanced over his shoulder back at her, sensing her unease. He did not give her any words, seeming on edge himself. She had never seen him look at her the way he had. He was very afraid.

Hades came to a stop in a small patch of grass where a figure lay. Risa slowed, tilting her head. She had never seen a metal suit like that before. As her vision adjusted to the sight before her, the wounds and blood became visible. A gasp escaped her lips. Her instinct kicked in and she hurried to his side, kneeling in the grass which tickled her bare legs. She took the man's hand. The poor thing was badly hurt. Healing was her specialty but she had never healed someone this injured before. Dionaea was not the best healer and could not aid her, better suited to stand guard and protect them until they could get moving again."It's okay, sweetie. I am here now and I will heal your ailments. " She comfortingly caressed the man's cheek with her other hand softly to comfort him. She took a deep breath.

I can do this. She assured herself.

Sparkles of energy moved over his wounds and breaks as she squeezed his hand. A faint, golden aura was surrounding her hand. The skin began to regenerate and his broken bones began to align. It was probably a discomforting process so she squeezed his hand a bit tighter to let him know she was there. Her gaze traveled across his features curiously. Humans looked so much similar to creatures in their world. She had always assumed they would be very different looking. He was just like them. "Dionaea, if we change his clothes and hide his ears behind his hair, we can blend him in." His human smell would be a problem still. They would have to find a way to mask it. The more she concentrated on healing, the drowsier she felt. The human was indeed healing but it was not a quick process.

Risa. This may be too dangerous. If we leave the human now, we might be able to escape. You are paling already and we are being pursued. There is not enough time. Hades' voice filled her head. She shook her head immediately, "No way! I'm not leaving him to die."

A soft whimper came from Hades and he moved over to Kyran, biting his pant-leg gently to pull him out as if to beg him to reason with the girls. Risa did not yet notice him, fixated on the human. He would be completely healed soon.
