[Remake][Accepting] Fairytalia Academy

"Didn't expect to see you here, mate. How have you been?" Edwyn began, as Alexander approached him.

Gold was one of Edwyn's few... clients, or acquaintances whose activities he did not constantly track. If ever asked if he would consider him a friend, he probably would not have a clear answer, but he knew him enough to gauge how much he could trust him. The boy was an honest dealer above anything else, and that was all Edwyn needed to know for the time being. Would he like to know more? Always. Alexander had remarkable abilities, though they did get him into the situation which Edwyn happened to witness and offered to help him out of. He would learn the details about what he was truly capable of, in due time.

That was when a slightly disheveled-looking woman came through the gates to address the entire cohort, introducing herself as 'Mrs. Gabrielle'. When she offered to answer any questions, Edwyn casually raised his index finger.

"At what times are we allowed to leave the academy grounds, Ma'am?"

The Asian man was the first to answer Alexanda. He also introduced himself and asked for her name. "Ah, that's interesting, it's nice to meet you Mr. Wu. My name is Alexanda Connolly, better known as Dynara in costume."

Alexanda then stood to shake the hand of the sophisticated blonde woman who had come over to address the group and provide them with a detailed yet intriguing introduction of herself. "It's a pleasure, Velma."

The atmosphere was gradually but noticeably changing as the other members of the team started to speak up, and it was beginning to get more comfortable for everyone. Alexanda was glad that she had said what she did, though, anything that was not outright offensive would have probably done the trick. The fish-like cartoon character was the next to answer her initial question, and when Jimmy enquired about the possibility of her existence, Alexanda found herself thinking about his question as well. She had first considered that her strange appearance and abilities might have been form of mutation like her own, or perhaps this individual was a result of some experiment? It was most definitely perplexing.

She then chuckled a little in amusement at 'Wayne's' antics, shaking one of his hands as he extended it out to her. The members of the group who had shared their professions seemed to have rather interesting ones. It did help in fitting in, knowing that many of these people also had lives outside of being super-powered recruits for the agency.

Rex did his best to keep the conversation going with both blades still against each other, neither one relenting just yet. It did not help that this man was spouting more names he had never heard of. The 'Turks' sounded like some new organization they might have to be concerned about, if Rex actually knew what 'Midgar' was. Zack then asked about Providence, which the teen foresaw if he attempted to explain would make the man as confused as he was. Well, why not? It was better than nothing, and hopefully they would get somewhere.

"Midgar? Are we even talking about planet Earth? Because that's where Providence is. We fight the bad guys, cure EVOs, and save the day. Basically, we're involved in anything EVO related, or do you not know what EVOs are? Trust me, looking at the situation, I'm considering some crazy possibilities, but can we first get out of this?"

His last question, of course, referred to the fact that the both of them were practically still locked in battle.

"Well, how did you think I'd react?" Scarlet protested at the blond man's words and J's judgmental glare.

"Alright... fair enough you two," J sighed, looking at her locator again. This time, her attention was drawn to two more emblems at another part of the base. The individuals carrying them were probably already interacting in some way. Hoping that it was not in a bad one, she turned back to the man. "Yeah, uh... you wait for that. Take a seat, relax, and I'll be right back."

The scientist grabbed the agent's arm as she was about to leave, and whispered to her. "Wait, what? You can't leave me with him!"

J rolled her eyes. "Let's put it this way, Doc - if he decides to murder you at any point, there's little I can do to stop him."

After J left, Scarlet glanced around nervously before reaching into a shelf in the corner and pulling out a can before holding it out to the man. "So, uh... soda for you?"

Not much could be seen through the steam, only a silhouette. There was a moment of silent hesitation which seemed longer than it actually was, before a sturdy hand found itself around Link's wrist and gripped it tightly, holding her hand away from what it had touched. Another clamped firmly onto her shoulder.

"You shouldn't be in here, Miss."

"Yes, I suppose it is," R agreed with the girl, deciding it would be best not to wait till everything else was settled before the introduction. He could only hope J had things under control on her side. He then turned to the 'Queen'. "Good point there, Ma'am, Your Majesty. I really do apologize on behalf of the organization for how this looks to you. I'll be sure to bring this matter up to the mayor."

R then took a deep breath, pulling out a device which projected a hologram of the Cinix Defenders' emblem. "First of all, welcome to Cinix. You can call me Agent R, or Romeo. We'll start off with how you're all here. Look familiar? You see, a recent discovery has given us access to a whole bunch of new... worlds. This technology was initially utilized by an unknown party to bring hostile individuals into our dimension and city, and it still is. The organization figured it would be the quickest way to reveal to you this so-called 'multiverse' which we share. I assure you that there is a way back from where you came, but you might take interest in what I have to say."

He scrolled through a few images of perpetrators they had to deal with in the past. "We have left our emblems in the dimensions that we are able to access through the duplication of this technology, meaning that if you've discovered one, whoever created this first has access to your world as well, and believe me, their intentions aren't good. It would be possible for the enemies you face in your own worlds to assemble with others of similar intentions, among other things. Perhaps that already is happening and we don't know yet. So, all that's left for me to say is, this is an invitation, probably even an appeal, to investigate this situation with us here in Cinix, where we're at least certain is its origin."

Sighing in relief after the speech, R kicked open a cabinet under one of the couches, revealing some drinking glasses. "Crazy day, can I get you all some beverages?"

As Skitterback worked, hissing could be heard echoing from the corners of the chamber. It only got louder, until several strange creatures crawled out from the darkness. They were not aggressive and did not attack, they did not even speak, but seemed intrigued by what the villain was doing. Letting out nothing but growls and hisses, they simply lingered, as if waiting for instructions of some kind.

Rex raised an eyebrow at the man's first response. "No, you see, I was hoping you'd know the year, or month, because I..."

He then trailed off, confused by the other's questions. Test? Mission? Did this man actually know what was going on himself? Or did he simply think he knew? Perhaps he was expecting something different. Rex had expected that since he had lowered his sword, they could share a little more and find out what was actually happening. As a result, the Hispanic teen was caught off guard at the sword being pointed back at him and the words of the man that followed.

"Huh? Trick? No wait, wait!"

Rex instinctively built his trusty B.F.S. out of one hand, the giant blade slicing through the wall of the corridor as he swung it before it clashed with the sword of the other man. Rex wondered if he was an EVO, though, so far, he doubted it. Was it possible that he had something to do with Providence? Well, there was no harm in trying.

"Uh... Zack, was it?" Rex spoke again as they strained against each other. "Look, I don't want to fight you. I don't even know you. My name is Rex, and I'm an agent of Providence. I just want to know when and where I am!"

The scientist fell silent at Cloud's words. Clearly, that was what he wanted, and it would hopefully prevent him from murdering her with that sword of his before someone who knew how to deal with the situation came along.

Meanwhile, J was still on the floor along the corridor, lost for words at the highly-unexpected move of the green-clad girl. For a moment, she even forgot about the urgent matter at hand. She then managed to snap back to the current situation, scooting away from the elf-like teen.

"Woah! Woah... alright, yes... yes she has. I can see that you're really happy to be here, and that's great! I seriously have to attend to something, though. Don't get me wrong, you're like, really pretty, but just uh... not my type? Yeah."

J scrambled around to pick her gadgets up before standing and looking back at the other blonde. "Still glad you're here. You can come with me... or not. Whatever, I'll explain everything soon."

Deciding that she would deal with the fact that she had just been violated by an elf at a later time, she darted down the corridor before taking a sharp turn and bursting into the lab to see the cowering scientist and the blond man with a blade. "Dr. Scarlet! It's okay, he's carrying our emblem."

Thinking of how he had just pulled his sword out on her, Scarlet turned to the agent, appalled. "Agent J! What kind of people have you been giving my tech to and why is he in my lab?!"

J's palm met her face at the doctor's words possibly offending the newcomer into killing her. "Alright, first of all, it was R who found this guy. Secondly, he wouldn't even be in here if there wasn't a glitch in the system. So technically, this whole mess is your fault!"

Scarlet scoffed. "Well, excuse me for being asked to duplicate something I had only known about for less than a week!"

"Ugh, fine. We'll both agree that this is all the mayor's fault, alright?" J then turned to the man. "Hi, uh... please don't attack the staff. I'll tell you everything you want to know to the best of my ability."

R paused in stunned silence, frozen in fear for a good while at the blades crossed over his throat. Did J forget that they were only supposed to bring the good guys over?

"Declared war? Us? What, no! Never!" He eventually managed to blurt out.

Thankfully, the pair was quickly distracted by the cloaked girl, whom they referred to as 'witch'. Perhaps she was one, but at that point, who knew? At her response to him, she seemed more grateful than anything else. Her joy was real, and extremely intense. That he could tell, somehow.

"Well, I uh... Glad we could help..." he replied, not knowing what else to say, but he really did mean it. It felt great knowing how much they had done for her, though unintentionally.

To his pleasant surprise, the girl then stood to protect him, should the other two try anything else. Alright J, I'll give it to you. At least this is a good one. He decided to speak up again after both parties had exchanged words.

"Much appreciated, Miss, thank you," he first said to the teen girl. "Alright, nobody actually wants to fight, awesome! So, what's happening right here isn't exactly what I'd call 'kidnapping', and in no way are we declaring any sort of war. Well, not against either of you, anyway. What we're looking for, is more of an alliance."

He glanced back and forth between both sides to see how they would respond, hoping to goodness that none of what he had just said was about to screw him over.

At the next turn of the dark, damp and musty tunnel, a hooded figure stepped out in front of the newly-arrived villain. Bright yellow eyes glowed like jewels from the shadow of its hood, staring straight at the Skaven.

"Welcome to Cinix," the figure began in a deep voice which echoed through the area. "Do take your time and have a look around, think about what is it you truly want."

It then glance above, as if looking right through the solid ground. "Interesting, we're right under the central business district. It's a good place to start."

"And if you ever need any help..." the figure continued, before pointing to the emblem on Skitterback's robe. "There's always that. Enjoy your stay."

With that, it stepped back around the corner and vanished, leaving the villain to himself.

Guild of Dishonor

Hearing what the others had to say, Kai could only feel that he had been really out of the loop since the successful heist. It was not as if his age helped him to blend in where such information was being discussed, and as for contacts, the people in the group that Roxy had put together were the only ones he had. Perhaps the deckhands down at the waterfront might be talking to one another about recent events. He should try to listen in on their conversations one of these days.Naturally, the soldiers they had left alive would recognize them and would be looking for them. Still, there were so many unanswered questions. The status of Black Widow was also something that had often crossed his mind. The rest of the group had just agreed that it was best to be able to contact one another, so if she was still alive, why would she just disappear without a word to any of them?

"If that's the case, you're all welcome back to the basement should you need a place to lay low, or plan on what to do next."

Kai had been the only one what had stayed at the base where the group had their first meeting, and it had been a safe place for him so far. He had not been disturbed there, and it was sometimes even too quiet for his liking.
