William Aubergine

Light after Light went by, illuminating the rough roads William knew these streets, knew these paths, but the shadows drew long over them. Crafting a background of fingers that grasp at the edges of the windshield.

In this gloom the white paint of his van appeared more dingy, more gray with stormy undertones rippling in between each beam that rolls over it.

Such weather would be fitting for this night. Ever roiling thunder interspersed with blinding lightning, heavy raindrops to provide a staccato to sorrow and dogged determination.

But such things do not come. Only tires on asphalt serve as the ambiance for this forsaken ride.

The only thing that could be claimed as a positive for it was the time, short as it was. In the old days the drive was a bonus, and a reason why he had transferred to the Wonderland. The pay may not have been as good, but the gas saved was more than enough.

Still, one would want such a momentous moment to… last longer. Instead of seeing the destination to ones journey within ten minutes.

Parking was strange, his spot was still there. Not unexpected given the nearly empty nature of the lot, but something just felt like it was… diffrent. Different enough to assume his spot wouldn't be marked, or empty, or nearly perfect.

But nearly empty and actually empty were two different things, and he could not help but wonder who exactly was here. Perhaps those who contacted him? Perhaps someone else who had been?

It matters little. He climbs into the back of his van, one that once held tools and parts for mechanical life, and gathers his weapons. Perhaps nothing will be hostile in this place, perhaps nothing will be found but dank halls and old stains, perhaps…

He checks the chambers of his revolver, gives the axe a quick grind, and hesitates at the knuckles. They were clean. Meticulously so. A gift, one given by his father-in-law. ‘So that you can bust in the teeth of those fools who flirt with a married woman.’

Brutal that man, so unlike his daughter. But brutality has a place, he slides them into a pocket.

The husk known as William Aubergine steps out into moon light and approaches an opened gate, axe held almost lazily over a shoulder.
The Iron Dragon

Speed was not a thing that Catherine prided herself in, much more content to take things at her own pace instead of rushing things along to mistakes. Yet even she was ashamed at only getting two steps in before being pulled back to safety and watching the others act.

Yet, it was not all for naught. A step back allows one to gaze upon a canvas to search for things that need fixing after all. Here is no different. Catherine may not quite see the smears that the tablet woman mentions, but what she does say sparks an idea. She wants variety? Then the Iron Dragon can oblige.

It much easier to approach the massive beast now it has moved closer, a dozen steps taken in a second with momentum transferred into leap. Height and distance more then sufficient to launch her towards the goal, that being the back of the dragon.

One hand snaps out, grabbing at bits of wire that still wrap around it even if they are a bit melted, a yank showing their sturdy construction as they are able to take her strength and allow them to be used as barding. A roar being choked out as she directs its neck and head to slam down into the asphalt.
Out of curiosity, who is Patch?

It would merely be a response to Loch and O'Malley. Just character interaction.

Oh those should Ll be fine. I've only just started the prolouge part to be honest

Well, I made a thing

@Redking0380 it's cool, if you can finish before me, I'll take it into account on my post. If not, you can do a two for one type of thing.

Fair, fair, I just got thrown off by apperntly being moved away from the battle
Got a little conflicted and haven't even wrote mine yet over here

Perfectly reasonable. We just don't want to leave you behind is all.

William's background is a bit cryptic, so I was hesitant to suggest histories, but, if you're amenable to it, I feel like we could work on something with: 'They stood between you and what you needed to find out. Ask them why.', for Cassidy. If she already established final contact with his wife to slip him that message from her, maybe she also asked Cassidy to prevent William from doing something foolish in pursuit of his revenge.

Thats a very reasonable outlook and encourages some more history.
