Conner & Medusa

With an arching eyebrow, Conner's eyes shifted back and forth between the blonde and her apparent semi-doppelganger. What's the story of these two? Was the hooded girl a descendant of Saber? That seemed.... highly improbable, but her appearance suggests otherwise. Before he could contemplate further, Waver chimed in.

"Pardon me, but you're making my assistant rather uncomfortable," he finally said, turning around and placing a hand on Gray's shoulder. "...I can tell that a response like that is not what you would want, but I would rather not create a scene in the middle of the street," he continued, glancing at everyone before sighing. "At this rate, I'll just have to cancel my appointment... How troublesome. If you wish to pursue this matter further, then we can go and speak about it in my office. I'd rather not give a lengthy explanation in public, after all."

As much as he was curious to find out more about this interesting development, Conner honestly felt like this was something that didn't really involve him. In fact, he and Rider were just about to return home when they got caught up in this little drama. Charlotte, by proxy of being Saber's Master, might pursue this peculiar quagmire, but as far as he was concerned...

"Appreciate the courteous offer, but no thanks. It's not in my place to pry into what appears to be a delicate subject.", spoke Conner with a polite smile. "In fact, Rider and I were just passing through and saying hi, were we not?"

Upon being acknowledged, Medusa gave Saber one more inquisitive look before turning her attention toward the professor.

"Indeed we were, Master.", she answered before giving a polite bow. "We apologize for the inconvenience this has brought you."

"At any rate, I think we took enough time out of your busy schedule as it is, so we'll being getting out of your hair now. So, if you would excuse us. Professor. Miss.", the young magus nodded toward the pair before turning toward Charlotte and her Servant. "Catch you later, Charlotte. Saber."

And with that, Conner resumed his trek back home, with Medusa closely behind him, giving one last look over her shoulder before returning her gaze forward.

Kira gave Ozzy one more soulful gaze before closing her eyes and taking a deep breath.

Alright.....here we go.

"My mother....is an Echidna. That alone should tell you that I come from a big family.", she began as stared off into the distance. "As is common knowledge, the first child of an Echidna is always another Echidna. My eldest sister....Videl. She was...

A chuckle escaped her lips as a nostalgic smirk appeared on her visage.

"She was every bit of the definition of 'big sister' and then some. Kind, caring, loving and supportive. Yet also firm, stern, fair, decisive and just a little bit scary when she needed to be. She kinda had to be. By the time I came into the world, mom and dad already had six kids to take care of, so Videl had to step up as the 'third parent', as it were. She actually did a good job, too. Heh...I remember this one time when I was six, one of my older sisters, a werecat named Alaya, climbed a tree to chase a pretty butterfly that she saw. Naturally, upon realizing how high she was, she got scared and clamped down on the branch, calling out for us. Of course, we all came rushing to help, but then Videl stopped us. As we stood there wondering why she did that, she then slithered up the tree herself to where Alaya....and started singing. After a bit, Alaya started singing. Then I start singing. And then another sibling...and then another and another and another. Until we're all singing. So caught up in the singing, Videl managed to guide Alaya all the way down the tree, without lifting a single finger. It wasn't until her feet were on the ground and the singing stopped that Alaya realized she got herself down. 'Scary things stop being so scary when you think of something pleasant' is what Videl taught her that day. All of us, really. Things like that were what made her so loved in my family. So....so loved"

"Sorry if you wanted to be alone." He began. "But it was equally likely you might want someone to vent at, a shoulder to lean on, or just someone to be there. After all, you saved the day. I saw Rayya and Nero's face after you left. I think what you said hit home." He turned his head towards her. "Kind of hit me too. So whatever you need Kira. I wanted to get to know you anyway."

Kira took a moment to look Ozzy in the eye to see if what he was saying were genuine and saw that he, indeed, was.

Well, at least she helped those two out in a way, but still....

Could she tell him? Could she talk about it? It's been years since that fateful day and the only people she'd ever talk about it with was her family members. Could she bring up such a vulnerable topic to a person she met just yesterday?

Well.....he did go out of his way and skip out on a day with a cute girl to keep me company....

She sighed. This was gonna get heavy.

"I want you to promise me that you won't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you unless I'm comfortable with it. It's....the first time I've talked to anyone outside my family circle about this, so I'm kinda stepping out of my comfort zone over here. Can you do that for me?", the flygirl said to the owlboy, her voice soft and quiet.
Yeah, the crossing. Naturally, anywhere Ismael is going, Fran's gonna follow.

Strange.....very strange.

The term was the most appropriate to describe Fran's situation and it truly was. For one thing, she wasn't formally summoned through the Heroic Spirit Summoning Ritual, standing in either a lavish chamber or a secluded workshop of a Magus. No, instead she came into being in the back of a, as she learned, car of her current Master, Ismael. The shocked expression the man had then told her that he was just as blindsided by these events as she was. In fact, surprise also showed something else about him. Hell, she felt it through the recently established Master-Servant connection they now had and it filled her with heaps of concern.

Ismael, with absolutely no doubt, was NOT a Magus.

This revelation brought a whole slew of questions. How did this happen? WHY did this happen? How was she able to be summoned by, not a mage, but a normal person with completely no talent or knowledge of magecraft? That shouldn't even be possible. This was turning out to be more out of the ordinary than the last Grail War she was summoned to.....if what was happening right now was a Grail War to begin with. Suffice to say, this put Ismael's safety as top priority. Fran felt certain that her Master didn't even know the full implications of what it means to have those Command Seals on his hand. And it's not like Fran herself can explain everything to him, as she wasn't that....outspoken.

All that aside though, Ismael was turning out to be a rather considerate and jolly gentleman of a Master, if these last two days were telling her anything. She couldn't remember the last time she giggled this much, let alone enjoying the company. So while the entire situation did turn out to be really weird, it wasn't all that bad.

However, reality returned to the forefront when, as they were making their way back toward Ismael's car, the Berserker spotted the fleeing form of a bird-like familiar, a note placed on the car door handle. With a wary grumble, Fran scanned her surroundings, trying to pick up on any nearby Servants as her Master retrieved and read the note.

Pro tip: Remember to send out mentions to players whenever you make a notable update(like starting the IC). I didn't even know this got started and only found out when I scrolled the RP forum.
Okay, this has been tickling my curiosity for far too long. What's a guy gotta do to participate in the Arena around here?
@1Charak2

That's everyone. Ready when you are.
On my end? I'm ready to go.
Conner & Medusa

It was only for a second. Really, anyone could've missed it with how quickly the young woman got her hood back up.

But she wasn't quick enough to escape Conner's eyes and she definitely wasn't quick enough to escape Medusa's either.

Saber!? No....it can't be. The hair color is different and her skin is paler. Yet, they have the same eye color, so she can't be an Alter. A different Class maybe? Wouldn't be the first time it happened., Conner thought to himself, trying to make heads or tails of this mysterious woman.

Medusa, on the other hand, was shocked when the wind blew the hood off the woman's head, her eyes going wide for moment before narrowing and being even more on guard. This can't be another Saber. The physical differences were obvious. Then there was the presence this woman was giving off. She wasn't a Servant.....at least, not a normal one. So, who or what is she? The gorgon enchantress turned her attention back to Saber. Surely, she saw what they saw. There's no way a Servant missed that.
