Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Welcome to Oars Rest, your Gateway to Edea!

Edea is a large, mostly unexplored continent that has recently been discovered. The kingdoms and countries of the continent of Ailon all have an interest in exploiting this new continent for their own reasons, especially the Baumn Empire and Caededril Republic. However, the Edea continent is vast, unexplored, and teeming with wildlife and other creatures. Needless to say, it's not exactly a pretty or safe place.

That's where you adventurers come in! You're here to explore this new continent, and deal with all of its perils. Your reason for doing so? Well, that's for you to decide. Adventure itself, the potential to find riches, maybe even a scholarly interest in this new continent and possible civilizations that exist here.

And as, with all adventures you have to start somewhere. Oars Rest is a quaint little town constructed by the Baumn Empire and Caededril republic as a Neutral zone after their recent war for exploration of Edea. This has been going on for almost five years, and many adventurers travel inland, though few of these ever return. Those who do, often return with riches or information about what lays ahead for other adventurers.

This is a dungeon crawler/Etrian Odyssey Inspired RP. I will be playing the world, creatures, NPC encounters, and other misc. creatures that your characters may or may not encounter. I shall also play a character, if needed for whatever reason but for the most part, I shall be playing god and making all of your characters lives miserable the most exciting they can possibly be~

I'm looking to keep this to a smallish group. At most, I'll be willing to have eight people at once, and those will be split into two different adventuring groups of four people, which will go on separate, yet simultaneous adventures and who will often likely cross paths, and either hinder or help the other group.

The RP is going to focus a lot on character interaction & Development, Adventure, and Combat. There will be down time of course, for characters to rest and properly recuperate and for some good character interaction to develop.

~Rules~

1. I will be keeping a strict posting schedule. As in, I want at least one post every two days. This is a rule I am going to heavily enforce and keep track of. If the timer above your last post reaches two days, then you'll receive a warning and your character will be on auto pilot so things don't get slowed down until you return. Two offenses of this, result in immediate ban from the RP. If you must be absent for some reason, tell me. I'm not going to kick you for some emergency or other reason.

2. I am the GM. You may call me Overlord Rune. My word is also law here. Any disputes OOCly will be settled by me and me alone if you can't settle it yourselves. I will try and be fair, but do try not to escalate something to the point where I have to intervene.

3. This, admittedly isn't going to be the most realistic of RP's. As in, there will likely at some point be big-ass anime fights with explosions and stuff like that. However, if your character gets injured, I expect that to factor into their actions and such in some way. No walking away from getting stabbed in the heart, kiddos without some really, really, good and heavy healing magic.

4. Any sexy stuff needs to fade to black. Or take it to the PMs. I don't care what you all do in your free time~

5. REMEMBER. One post every two days! I am going to be strictly enforcing this rule no matter what. I don't care how much someone complains. I am also going to try my best to keep to this rule. I won't expect posts during major holidays or if something major comes up, but otherwise you should try and keep to the rule.
Welp, that's just the way things happen sometimes.

I'm still here at least~
Okay.

First of all. You're the one using slang like 'hell' and 'point of balls'. That, to me, implies shouty. In a civil discussion, that usually implies someone who's being a bit too loud.

If you're reading my words as condescending, that's on you. I realize that tone is somewhat hard to imply on the internet, but I have never once written my words with the intention of being condescending. I use italics to emphasize a point....you know, like they're supposed to be used. Now that? That was somewhat condescending.

Also, I do believe Inertia did ask, and we received no clarification at all on the matter.

But no matter, I'm going to refrain from speaking to you further since I would rather not clutter the OOC with needless arguments, as this has apparently devolved into instead of a discussion about where a misunderstanding was had.

Who the hell are you to question us for not noticing a typo, again?

Wow...someone's feeling shouty and taking my words to mean something else when I'm being perfectly civil.

I'm not questioning the typo. You guys could have easily missed it. I'm just wondering why no one mentioned it to Zeroth when he posted and said you guys were on the next day.

But...again, no big deal...so no need to get all...shouty.
<Snipped quote by Rune_Alchemist>

It's a typo. From just two sentences before that:

<Snipped quote by Write>

Given that one sentence disrupts the movement of time entirely in the RPG and one doesn't, it's safe to assume that the disruptive sentence is a typo and roll with everyone else's flow.

Not necessarily true - she could have just been saying it was a usual first day, so there was nothing that memorable about it and as such, didn't post about it. That's the way I took it when I first read it, and apparently the way most others took it from what we're seeing.

I do agree, chances are it is a typo. However - I do have to question why none of you told Zeroth or the rest of us that there had been a misunderstanding in regards to the timeline here since most of us have been assuming you skipped ahead a few days, and when he even posted about it.

But eh, not a big deal.
@Krayzikk
Now that this was her fourth third day Namari found herself rather relaxed.

After going back and reading some of the posts about when this all started, I think I found where the misunderstanding comes from. Write specifically said in this post that this was Namari's fourth 'Third' day, meaning she apparently that this is her third day or so in Brave High at the moment.

I don't know if it's a typo or what, but it does say it's her third day there.
I have in fact, never actually played DnD in my life.

I understand the concept of course, but I can't stand Dice Rolls.

Last time I did something with dice rolls, I rolled like five bad rolls in a row, I raged, flipped a table, and have been the King of the Seven Salty Seas ever since whenever someone mentions any sort of dice rolling xD
@Holy Soldier
Actually, the rest of the seniors have in fact, moved onto the next day I do believe.

I didn't include the Seniors because it seems like that group has decided to time-skip to the next day, which is fine by me as long as we don't get wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff mixed up. You guys just let me know if you want me to post something for you.

And as of yet, none of them has said anything saying they haven't after Zeroth posted this, so I think it's safe to assume they have moved to the next day.
Well, that's sort of what I'm going with at the moment, I think.

I'm basically going to be describing locations, and possibly give hints as to what your character could do. (such as explore the area, look for an alternate route aside from the obvious one, etc. Or whatever else you want.)

Your characters are going to enter those locations, and explore a bit. And depending on what those characters of yours do, I'll decide just what should happen. They might get lucky and find some valuable gem or some other thing. Maybe a powerful looking long sword or something. They might stumble upon a tribe of hungry Kobolds. Or, they might even stumble upon an NPC or two that might give them a 'quest' or something, and either hinder or help them on their exploration.

Rest assured though, that most areas are probably going to have a 'boss' fight, if you will. Now, depending on what the adventurers do, they may miss the encounter entirely, but I'm going to make that slightly difficult to happen~

And of course, there are many ways your characters could go about doing things. That tribe of Kobolds? Maybe you somehow make peace with them, and are able to resupply a bit and gather intelligence and information about the surrounding cavern, and maybe a hint to where some relic or artifact is that exists in the cave.

At least, this is my general plan for now at least~
I'll bite.

I'm assuming that the dungeons are going to be more 'traditional' dungeons that can be cleared in a couple of floors, compared to the central Yggdrasil Project dungeons in Etrian Odyssey, with their world-ending threats lurking at the end of the labyrinth?

To start with, yes, they're gonna be able to be cleared within a couple of 'floors'. I should state that most 'dungeons' aren't really dungeons, but more of just an area in the world the party has to go through. Say, a large cave system that takes around a few hours to walk through depending on how much the party decides to explore and how many encounters they have. They may later encounter a traditional 'dungeon' with floors, but it won't be until after they've traveled inland a bit.

Also, the further inland the adventurers get, there's a good chance they might stumble upon some creature or another that could be classified as 'world ending' - it depends really. I'll have to keep the baddies and creatures an appropriate level so the characters can always have a bit of a challenge as they grow more powerful as well. Can't just have them one-shotting everything. That's no fun~

Though, I suppose I could make the areas more dungeon like, with floors and such. I just haven't thought about it really. I'm a bit unsure how that would really work in this setting, though, but I could probably come up with something if its what everyone would want. I'm certainly open to ideas.
