I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
@BCTheEntity thanks for the suggestion, but I'm trying to stay away from canonical fruit. The Kilo-Kilo would work to some degree, certainly, though the Ton-Ton wouldn't really fit her character, I think.
Eh, I'll keep thinking for now.
If there was a fruit that would allow her to be lightweight that had perhaps some other applications other than just her being light...but I am unfortunately, at a loss for the moment. I could probably come up with something, given time, but my time is a bit short at the moment.
If all else fails I could probably switch to the Kilo-Kilo, but as I said, I would prefer to try and steer away from cannon fruit.
@LokiLeo789 Aye, captain!~ Glad to be here. Now where's the rum at? :D
@Renny Oh, I understand. I won't get too crazy with it. At most, she's ever going to be using it to compliment her combat abilities as far as speed boosts and stuff goes no like, master Air Bender stuff here. At least, not until later. Much, much, later.
Suppose I could have come up with a different fruit with a similar function, but I'm terrible with names and can't really think of another one to replace it with. Some sort of adrenaline boost thing or something? Suppose now that I think about it, having the fruit simply make her effectively as light as a feather could also work, but that ability alone seems rather limited.
"I swear, that fish just came alive and slapped the the guy itself, officer!"
"Izusa, at your service!~ Ehehe, so, what's you're story? Come ooon, sit next to me. I don't bite~" Name: Izusa Yukima
"If you keep staring, I'ma start thinking you wanna date~" Appearance: Standing at a fairly tall six foot two, Izusa is well, quite tall compared to most women. Add that she's fairly well built and has obvious muscles on her frame, she can come off as fairly intimidating. She has bright white hair, often tied back into a ponytail, or just has it hanging naturally. She has dark, chocolate colored skin and pure white eyes under her mask. As far as clothing goes, she currently wears a black and gold sleeveless vest over a custom made dougi, and wears fingerless gloves and tough leather gauntlets on her hands. She wears comfortable white pants, with black and gold boots on her feet. Often, she can be seen wearing an odd fox-mask on her face. At her sides are two short blades called 'Wakizashi' Strapped to her sides.
She's often considered fairly attractive, and is often wearing a calm grin, and drinking alcohol.
"Hehe, I've been told I'm a bit on the tall side. Oh, and these muscles aren't just for show~"
Height/Weight: 6'2" (188cm)/160lbs (72kg)
"Twenty years old!~ Uuugh, I'm already an old woman...another excuse-er, reason to drink away my 'sorrows!'~" Age: 20
"Me? I'm pretty friendly, I'd say. Fufufu...of course, that might be a lie? Foxes aren't exactly known to be truthful, no?~"
Personality: Now, Izusa would likely come off incredibly intimidating at first appearances. What, with being six foot two and weighing in at a hundred and sixty pounds with some very obvious muscles on her. Thankfully, her personality is 100% unintimidating. In fact, a lot of the time she comes off as a bit of a klutz and a mischievous, but kind hearted jokester that is always up to some small shenanigan or prank. Indeed, she's a very friendly sort, the type of person who'd be the first to attempt to make friends with everyone around her. She doesn't take most things seriously, and will often laugh at most things that happen. Very few things seriously faze her, and its very rare to see her angry.
Aside from her general friendliness and impish behavoir, is a person who actually takes her work and responsibilities very seriously. While a lot of the time she doesn't actively seek work or responsibilities, if given a task, she will completely it as quickly and as effectively as she possibly can. Of course, she'll keep her non-serious demeanor about her while doing this, as she very rarely ever appears 100% serious, much to the ire of those around her, but she always tries to give 100%
In those rare times she is serious, she...well, becomes quite a scary person depending on the situation. She doesn't take kindly to people harming those she calls her friends or comrades. Likewise, she can have a rather deceiving attitude. A lot of the time, she will joke around with people and keep her impish jokester demeanor...even with people she doesn't like, making it incredibly difficult to tell what she actually thinks of you at times. Even if asked, she'll likely reply with some vague, riddle like answer, or try to change the topic to something else.
As such, if she doesn't like you...well, its hard to tell. She might appear to be your best friend one minute...and then stab you in the back the next, if she really doesn't like you. Of course, such situations have been rare for her, and the only way she'd stoop to such a level is if you've done something she finds irredeemably offensive. Such as being a total jerk, irredeemably evil, or committed a crime with the intent to simply to harm for no reason other than to do harm.
She tries to keep an open mind about most things, and will often take a somewhat philosophical approach to different ways of life, but there are some things she won't tolerate. Especially forcibly making someone else do something when they obviously don't want too. Freedom to do what one wants, after all, as long as it doesn't impose upon someone else, is what everyone should strive for.
also a total perv. Protect your undergarments
Home Island/Sea: West Blue
History: Now, if you ask her about her history personally, she'll spin half truths and exaggerations about being born on an island, having to wrestle wild boars and survive on eating the corpse of a sea serpent that she slayed with her bare hands. Honestly, its very difficult to actually get the truth out of her regarding her short twenty years.
So I'll save everyone time, and detail that here.
Born to a prostitute on her island, she's had a...fairly colorful life growing up. While she didn't have a bad life growing up by any means, she's always been running with some criminal elements or another. Stealing for shits and giggles, slapping a marine with a recently caught fish, stealing underwear. Though it was mostly out of necessity, since she was far from wealthy or even middle class, she can't deny she took a certain thrill in messing with the Marines and the law.
Honestly, despite her slightly whimsical nature, this consisted most of her life, until she was sixteen, when an older man came to her island. He was...a bit of an eccentric, but a kind old man. He often helped her when she and her mother needed it. In fact, he was a bit like a father to her, and helped her straighten her life out, more or less. At least, she stopped getting into scuffles with the law around this age. He helped her do this through quite a few ways. One, by channeling her energy towards something else. In this case, towards the usage of Martial arts, sword, and Observation Haki training. And while she enjoyed the time spent training, eventually she became...bored with it, and would have likely gone on to join the Marines, if a twist of fate didn't get her caught up in an old friends scheme.
When she was 18, she was approached by an old friend of hers who she used to get into trouble with. There was a ship coming into dock. Apparently, it had treasure on board...enough to make her, her friend, and everyone else rich enough to live in the lap of luxury. They could probably even flee the island as well with the money. So gathering their little circle, they put together a plan. A plan to steal whatever treasures laid in the ship.
It went horribly wrong, as one might expect. They didn't get anywhere near the treasure before things went downhill. However, with a bit of luck, and thanks to her training...she managed to get to the treasure. Where she stumbled upon the Kuki Kuki no Mi. A devil Fruit. Grabbing it, she managed to escape with her life, but her friends...well, weren't so lucky. Killed or imprisoned, the last she saw of them.
From there, she made a decision. As much as she loved training, and the past two years actually doing something with her life...well, it wasn't for her in the end. Saying farewell to the one who taught her, he gifted her with the mask she now wears, and after eating the Kuki Kuki no Mi fruit, she left home...thankfully with no official bounty. Her friends, well, if anything weren't snitches. Plus, it was presumed everyone was either killed (She was wounded, after all) Or imprisoned.
Since then, she has been traveling around for about two years, getting into various small crimes here and there, though nothing too serious. She wants a ship of her own, honestly, and aspires to be a captain some day, but for now...she'll settle for working for someone else.
Fruit: Kuki Kuki no Mi (Air Air Fruit); Paramecia
The fruit at its basic form, gives her the ability to manipulate air to some extent. Honestly speaking, its abilities are fairly weak at the moment. At least, the way she uses them tend to be more subtle rather than outright powerful bursts of wind meant to be used for combat. More or less, she uses it to enhance her physical abilities. Namely, speed, her acrobatics, or to harass someone from a distance.
It could also be used to power a ships sails, should they need a good wind. Of course, keeping the ability up for a long time would be incredibly taxing and draining.
Abilities/Race Traits: Observation Haki: While her physical abilities are fairly good for her age, and while her skill with her two short blades are indeed frightening along with the help of her Devil Fruit, one should be aware her Observation Haki is what makes her a fairly terrifying opponent. In fact, she seems to be almost a natural with the ability, to the point where she doesn't even need her eyes to sense things around her, hence the eyeless mask. Of course, it still has all the weakness of the Haki.
Currently she's able to effectively use it for up to about ten meters. Agility/Speed/Acrobatics: Complimenting her incredible skill with Observation Haki, is her Speed and Agility. While she was already a bit of an acrobat before eating the Kuki Kuki fruit, the fruit has only served to enhance these traits more. Strength: Those muscles aren't for show. She can probably knock someone out in a single punch should she have too. She trains her body daily, even if no one seems to ever catch her in the act.
Fighting style: Her fighting style is fairly simple. Hit hard, quick, and strike with the intent to take down an enemy before they can retaliate. And in the case you don't succeed, then use your superior speed to your advantage, and as if a leaf dancing on wind, cut them down. Parry, ripotse, and gracefully take down your opponent with Honor and as little bloodshed as possible.
Sneak attacks from behind, and ambushes are acceptable, but fighting dirty, taunting, torturing, toying, or otherwise acts of dishonor are not. In a fight, one should always be aware of their surroundings, and if a swordsman is not, then they are not worthy of calling themselves one.
Two-sword Style: With her two Wakizashi's in hand, she's fairly good at using them exactly as they were intended. Boosted by her Kuki Kuki fruit and her natural speed, they become a fairly terrifying force to deal with should she have to. Dozen Blade Cut: A technique that she developed during training. It's a fairly simple technique, that uses her current skill with the Kuki Kuki to the fullest extent its able too. Moving as fast as a gust of strong wind, she cuts at the opponent what seems like a dozen times in a ridiculously short span of time. Using an impressive skill of acrobatics, the blades come from almost everywhere as she dances around the opponent.
The attack is too fast to be used with any bigger, heavier, or larger sword.
Ship Positions: First Mate
Bounty: 100,000 Belli (Vandalism, public indecency, resisting arrest, deadly assault with a fish, and other small crimes)
I don't have time tonight to make a character, but I already have some ideas. I'll be gunning for the First Mate position, if I can. Either that or Navigator, perhaps~
So, I just noticed the Int. Check recruitment thread~
It's been awhile since I've even watched One Piece (mostly because there's no way in hell I can sit and read/watch the anime manga), but I was wondering if there was room for me on that third crew?~
It was a rather unfortunate set of circumstances that brought her here, today. Well, not really unfortunate that she was here, but more so unfortunate that she arrived late. Much too late to take part in the tournament. Her father was certain to scold her for it once she returned home, but there was little she could do about it now so worrying about it wouldn't be good. She'd take the punishment and scolding, as one should when they make mistakes.
Still, she wasn't looking forward to to it.
"Aww, cheer up babe. It's not like we have to go home soon. We're grown women, we can do whatever we want~" A voice beside her chuckled. The source of the voice, a certain mischievous little Imp by the name of Nemain, was wearing her usual grin and was wearing her usual...lack of clothing as she floated beside her. The creatures wings flapped slowly as she hovered on her back, likely lounging on some unseen air current. In one of her hands was a ripe red apple, and since Amelia hadn't given it to her, she could only assume she had stolen it when she wasn't looking.
The thought only made her sigh again, and hold a hand to her temples in slight frustration. While she wasn't going to scold Nem for doing such a thing, it was annoying to say the least. If she had gotten caught, then that would just be more trouble for her.
"If I don't, I'll only be in more trouble." Amelia replied, giving the spirit a sharp look, voice harsh. "And I would prefer it if you didn't steal when we're in the middle of something." Nem simply rolled her eyes in an almost mechanical fashion, in a manner suggesting it was a routine action for her. She floated over to Amelia, placing an elbow on the humans shoulder and leaning on her, apple still in one hand.
"Steal? Why, these apples are all mine, Amy. Want a taste?~" The nickname caused Amelia to redden slightly. She had never gotten used to such a casual manner of being addressed, even by Nem. Not to mention, judging from the tone and way she said 'apples', and currently turned her body to face Amelia and was pressing her chest into her arm, she was insinuating something else entirely. Amelia simply huffed in dismay. Sometimes, Nem's shenanigans were amusing. Sometimes, they were just annoying.
This time, it was the latter. Maybe it was just the bad mood she was in.
"I'd rather have melons, thank you." Amelia replied, with a grunt, picking up the pace towards the Colosseum. She'd at least watch the fights. Things could be learned from watching, after all, and as much as she'd love to participate, it was much too late for that. Nem simply floated there, losing her grip on Amelia's arm as she walked off, looking like a child who had their ice cream fall onto the ground and melt into oblivion.
"Melons are neither cute nor adorable..." She muttered to herself, before kicking up a little gust with her wings, catching up with Amelia. "Come oooon, Amy." Nem continued, floating beside her, holding the apple tantalizingly close to Amelia's face. "I know your disappointed because you didn't get to fight, love, but that's no reason to be all grumpy."
Amelia simply looked somewhat boredly at Nem. The human had never really been able to hide much from the spirit.
"Let's say we go relax a bit after the tournament, hmm? You've been in a bad mood the entire time we've been here, and if you don't cheer up, I'm going to have to take drastic measures!~"
Well, she wasn't wrong. She had been in a fairly foul mood this entire time. Relaxing might be nice...though, she wasn't really sure how to 'relax' unless it meant sparring. She also had a sinking feeling she knew what those 'drastic measures' would be, and she really didn't want to experience that again.
"I suppose we could..." She almost dismissively replied. Amelia almost wanted a Dissonance to appear, if only she could have something to do. But well, that would be bad and she didn't want needless chaos to happen. "Though, I doubt many song knights would be able to keep up."
"Pfft, does it matter? You could just toy with them for a bit, babe." Nem replied, bringing the apple away from Amelias face since she seemed completely uninterested in it, taking a bite of the fruit herself. "...Hmm, juicy!~" She said through mouthful of apple.
"That is not something any honorable Knight would ever do." The Knight replied sternly.
"I'm neither, so I don't have to worry about that!~" She giggled once again, before taking another bite of the apple. Amelias shoulders slumped slightly. Why did the gods have to curse bless her with such a troublesome spirit?
For the most part, their exchanges continued in a similar manner all the way to the Colosseum. Amelia had been hoping to arrive before they started, but it seemed she was a little late for that as well. Still, she watched the ensuing battles with rapt attention, delighting in the dance of Knight and Spirit. She wanted to be down there herself, but that was the consequence of being late, one she'd be certain not to make again. For the most part, Nem simply watched with boredom, seemingly uninterested in the display. In fact, she had her hands resting behind her head, hovering slightly off the ground...snoring.
And then it seemed the gods smiled on her plight.
The entire Colosseum shook, waking even Nem from her little nap and causing her to lose concentration, and land on the ground with a small, adorable sounding squee noise.
"One moment of your attention, everyone. I'm sorry to say but, this mockery of a tournament will be cancelled shortly. Please, accept this little present, as a payback for your troubles~"
Sheets of music began falling over the arena, Dissonances' spawning before they even hit the ground.
"H-huh? What gives! I was having a nice dream involving a banana and a really big pair of apples." Nem complained.
"Dissonances'" Amelia simply replied, drawing her sword from its sheathe. Nems face suddenly turned a bit serious, though she didn't seem overly concerned.
"Well, have fun with that, then."
"Of course I will." Her usual neutral expression was replaced with a smirk as she brought the hilt of her blade to her lips. Placing her fingers upon the instrument, she began playing. It was a fast paced, energetic upbeat tune. It was only a short piece of course, as time was of the essence here, but its melody echoed through the Collesuem, and its effects took hold quickly. Soon, her body felt as light as a feather, and she could feel the minuscule currents of air moving around her.
Without a word to Nem, she entered the fray. The Spirit, simply watched with mild interest as Amelia began fighting.
Amelia sent about getting to work quickly. It wasn't her job to contain the chaos, and chances were since the civilians were already panicking, it would be a bad idea to try and interfere with them as they were. The most effective method to stop this from spreading, was to deal with the source. In this case, the undead soldiers. Taking note of a few more Song Knights in her vicinity, she made sure to leave them to their battles unless her assistance was absolutely required.
So she focused on the group of skeletons in front of her.
She jumped over the first one, landing gracefully on her feet behind it. Before it had a chance to even react, she plunged her blade into his head as another attempted to sneak attack her from behind. She jumped to the side, spinning as she withdrew her blade from the undead and impaling the second on it, grabbing it by its head and pulling it towards her. She jumped, her body turning vertical and spinning once while she jumped over the second as a third undead's weapon just barely avoiding clipping her. She landed gracefully on her feet, and continued her assault.
She would probably look like a graceful whirlwind to any looking in. She danced among the undead, blade slicing at their necks, spines, and any weak point she thought she saw. Avoiding their blows was easy enough. She could almost tell where they were coming from before they even attacked. More than once she pulled of a feat of incredible acrobatics. And occasionally, she'd skillfully play another short melody on the flute, whilst still managing to dodge and attack blows.
Nem, simply continued to watch. She almost wanted one to attack her so she'd have something to do, but for ht most part, she remained out of the battle for now.
"Heh, maybe not loaded, but I have my ways~" She giggled, giving Gaia a bright grin. She wasn't talking about some cheap fast food restaurant, or well, any fancy restaurant really. More...upscale jazz club that she had a free pass too thanks to being 'friends' with the owner. And by that, she meant he owed her a rather large favor. A little secret for later, though. For now, it seemed things were about to get started, and now that the crowd had gotten out of her recording room, then this would be easy!!~
"Wow, someone's getting right to the fun stuff." Sidney giggled as she allowed herself to be spun around, and shown to the recording room.
"I was serious about dinner by the way. Hit me up after work. I know a great little place you'd just love~" With that, she walked into the room and set her own stuff into a desk provided and took a seat at the mic. She knew how these worked, more or less. Wasn't her first time doing something like this, though it was her first time doing it public like this.
"HELLO!~" She spoke loudly into the mic. Well, sounded good to her. Thankfully, it looked like most everything was in order. Now, all she had to do was wait for them to go on air and with the arrival of a one Derek Nally, it seemed like that was going to be getting here fairly soon.
Seeing Mr. Nally outside of the recording booth, she waved and motioned for him to come inside. She wanted to get this show on the road as soon as she could. Honestly, she was a little miffed about having to share her first time on the radio waves with Nally, but such was life. She'd just have to woo the audience with her charms regardless of whether this guy interfered or not~
As soon as he stepped inside, she'd greet him as energetically as she did everyone else.
"So you're Derek Nally, huh?~ Sidney Garland." She would hold out a hand, obviously meant for shaking. "I'm running a talk show here, and you're our honored guest number one!~ Take a seat love, and we'll get this show started~"
