Name:Amelia Von Schultz
Age:17
Gender:Female
Basic Information
Appearance:With long black hair and standing at a tall five foot eight with an amber colored eye, Amelia carries herself with a high degree of grace and poise expected of her 'pedigree' as her family calls it. She takes great pride in both her appearance and how she carries herself, and most of the time it shows. She typically dresses in a modern black imperialistic military uniform, and often carries around a similar matching hat. At her side is a belt where her sword is kept, and she has a cloak she usually wears for more appearance purposes.
Of course, the thing most people seem to notice mostly, is the eyepatch she wears over her left eye. Under it, is where her 'Conduit' is located.
Personality:-Studious
-Serious
-No Nonsense
-Orderly
-Forceful
-Terrified of failure
-tends to be rather hard on herself.
-Likes to...'trick people' with her abilities.
-Somewhat Paranoid, and surprisingly easy to startle though its difficult to tell most of the time.
Serious, no nonsense, and for the most part Amelia is a heavy stickler for rules, order, and peace, and doesn't care what methods are used to achieve those things. She takes studies, school, and anything she does with a serious attitude that doesn't tolerate failure of any kind. When generally relaxing or otherwise not doing anything important, one would find her to be much more amicable and a bit more open.
Backstory:Amelia's history is a bit of an odd one. She didn't exactly what most would consider to be a 'Normal' childhood. While it was far from terrible, it was by no means perfect. Amelia's Grandfather, is by all means an old man too set in his ways and is stuck in the past, trying to cling to old glory and power, which colored many of his actions when raising children. The old man was once a general in Nazi Germany, when the first of the super powers became discovered by the public. Needless to say, he's more than a little...eccentric in both his beliefs, only being kept alive so long by his own abilities.
Growing up though, she was always a black sheep of the family. Her grandfather had the view that those with superpowers were humanities future. Unlike her two brothers and sister though, she didn't have any super powers, and was quickly left to her own devices growing up. For Amelia, this was a crushing development. She wanted nothing more than to impress and be acknowledged, but because of her lack of abilities, she wouldn't be able too.
So she thought she'd impress in other ways. Academics, marksmanship, fencing, and otherwise generally attempting everything she could to make up for her shortcomings. Eventually though, her grandfather sent her away at the age of fourteen to study abroad in Greece, the states, and other various areas. Still, she hoped that at least one day she'd be good enough to at least be something other than considered to be a 'failure'. It was then a family friend mentioned something called 'Conduits' to her. Intrigued, she decided to press him and dig around for more information regarding these objects. He was a collector of sorts - and some time ago during an excavation of an ancient tomb in greece they stumbled across an artifact of some sort that they had no knowledge of - he offered to let her have it.
Of course, as incredulous as she was about it at the time, she quickly accepted regardless. So she attained the eye, losing her natural eye in the process. After returning home, she expected to be greeted with some amount of respect...but it didn't seem much had changed, and eventually she was told to attend Palladium. She made quite a bit of a name for herself after the first year there, becoming rank three after the first year trials, and becoming head of the student disciplinary committee.
Other Skills:-Trained marksman with small arms
- Trained with traditional swordsmanship and fencing
- trained in most academic fields, and fairly athletic
- Multilingual, and speaks a variety of languages.
Power Set
Name:Eye of Timore: Fear Empowerment, Constructs, and illusions
Abilities:
Amelia's Conduit allows her to both empower herself through the emotion known as 'fear' - from others or herself - as well as create a variety of semi-solid constructs with them, as well as induce fear into others via hallucinations. The conduit takes the place of her left eye, and the sclera is completely black with a blue pupil that shines slightly.
As far as the physical abilities go, increased perception, strength, reaction time, agility, etc. Typical things such as that, as well as the ability to keep fighting despite sever injuries as long as the limb isn't completely mangled or she's dealt a clearly fatal blow.
As for the 'constructs', she is able to form this 'Emotional Energy' into solid states to create a variety of different items with properties similar to their actual counterparts.
Lastly, She is able to induce small scale hallucinations in others via the same energy. She is able to make one imagine an object is something that would absolutely terrify them. A scrap of paper could appear as a spider to someone with arachnophobia. During combat scenarios, the effects can differ. Someone with fear of water or drowning, might find the environment suddenly turning into a pool of water, with them at the bottom of it. The effects of these illusions are nigh absolute - and while one could be very aware that one is inside of an illusion of some sort, breaking free of it would be easier said than done, regardless - especially since your entire body is being tricked into thinking the events are real.
She can store a limited amount of this energy for usage, but its much more powerful if she's making use of it on site.
Weaknesses:
The most obvious downside to her abilities, is that they must feed off of fear in some capacity. Whether they be hers, her opponents, or innocent by standards. In a total chaos situation she could be incredibly powerful indeed, but in a more peaceful and less chaotic situation one might find her abilities are a bit less effective than potentially possible.
Secondly, the constructs must be of real things and are only temporary. Chains, a brick wall to deflect an attack. The strength of course, depends mostly on the willpower of the user and how much 'fear' they have absorbed and how 'fearful' they currently are. An illusory brick wall would be stronger the more fear the user is currently feeling - or rather, how in fear of their lives they are.
The illusions, are only that - illusions. Against the average person they would be fairly incredibly powerful, and those of similar minds to Amelia. Against those with more intelligent, alien, or otherwise just stronger minds in general would find the abilities to be much less capturing. They also do not cause any direct physical damage - they simply overload the brain itself with the idea that its dead, defeated, and tricks the body into thinking it can't actually move.
Currently the illusions show depend on the person affected, and she currently has no control over what is shown.
The owner of the eye, is also plagued by constant nightmares for the sake of fueling the eye's own power, usually resulting in many sleepless nights, or nights where sleep is difficult. The owner constantly feels uneasy and fearful, to the point of paranoia sometimes. Amelia has a good grasp and level head about it, usually, but at times she might have trouble controlling herself. Fear of any kind is a powerful motivator, as well as a defense mechanism.
Other:
-Head of the Disciplinary committee
-Created and is the current leader of the Fencing Club
