Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

"Aha, that's the spirit!" Claire grinned. "Eep, eh?" Lileep, was it? She wasn't too sure what it could do, but it was a grass/rock type, right? She had chosen Beedrill already, so this was going to be an interesting match up. Still, as much as she liked Erika, going easy on her would be an insult to her. She intended to always fight opponents at her best, after all. Excitedly bouncing, Claire pointing enthusiastically at Erika and Eep.

"Alright, Del! Dazzle 'em and show them how skilled we are!" With a buzz of confirmation, Del moved to the battlefield from where he was buzzing behind her. "I'll try not to trash you too thoroughly...Del! Harden poison sting combo!" Claire was certain Beedrill would be faster than Lileep, but she wasn't so sure if it knew any rock-type moves or anything else. A safe strategy to start with since he could get Harden off, then if Lileep go close, stab 'em with a stinger.

"Bzzz!" Flapping his wings, Del began to harden his muscles, tensing up his body to reduce physical damage that he might take. Next, he'd make a beeline right for Eep, zooming towards it with his stingers so long as he wasn't interrupted.

"I'm on a rather tight schedule, unfortunately." Ash replied "So I can't waste time finding supplies for the both of you." Realistically, she probably could take a little extra time for the both of them. It'd make things take a bit longer, but having a few extra crystals for them would be good. That said, she was confident that the healing stone and a single healing spell or two would be enough for this. "That said, we first need to get Naj some food, and the only way to do that is to hunt. All you need to do is perhaps heal me should I need it." She continued walking, motioning for both of them to follow should they really desire.

"You don't have to fight yourself, I can do that. Most of these monsters aren't incredibly dangerous with a little clever strategies." Would they help? She honestly didn't care. They would or wouldn't. She'd do the same thing, in the end. It'd just be easier with his help as long as they remained a relatively safe distance away and let her do most of the heavy fighting, so she continued walking in hopes of finding either one, or a small group - preferably a small group.

1 Pebble added to inventory. This Pebble is enchanted with Minor Heal I.
System:Ash

Ah, enchanted! That was the word for it.

"Ah...this system screen is quite useful." She mused silently. Well, now that that issue had been solved, onto the next objective on her agenda. Watching Scott use magic had definitely been enlightening. She now knew two things - the 'flow' if you will, that Scott was using to make the spell was similar to what she had observed in the crystals, likewise there were two different spells into making this. Likely the enchanting itself, and the healing spell put into it...but no magic related skill yet, so further study would need to be required.

It was a good thing these pixies showed up when they did, really! Their help in the next phase of her plan would be incredibly useful.

"Now," She began, gulping up the healing stone and swallowing it as well, storing it in her throat pouch. Come to think of it...wasn't that incredibly useful? Sort of like her own organic beaker. Perhaps if she was able to store her own venom in there, it could be of use? A thought for later. "You don't look so good, Naj." Ash turned her head to the Pixie in question. "We should definitely get you some food...luckily for you, I was about to do something that could result in a dead lizard or two." Depends on how exactly this next step went. She was no zoologist, but she knew enough that most animals only listened too or respected those who were strong. Death wouldn't really need to be necessary, but it wasn't something she was going to rule out, either.

"If you'll follow me, I could use both of your help...it'll benefit the both of you, if you help me since you'll get EXP for the killing, and food. Hopefully." She started walking, listening and staying alert for any signs of either a large grouping of lizards or even a single one she could perhaps, beat into submission so it'd reasonably follow her.
Isolde

The soldier didn't stand a chance against the Wyvern and his rider, being dealt with swiftly and suddenly while the others took care of the other two. The large Wyvern paused only a second before roaring loudly, stomping his feet irritably as Isolde turned to face the long hallway towards the cells. Marwood said something about sticking together, which was certainly necessary...but they also needed to hurry and escape before the Jehannan forces stormed the palace. Time was of the essence, right? So they had to move swiftly.

Also Kergin really didn't wanna play bodyguard.

"Ack!" The Wyvern turned down the hallway, shaking his body and giving his wings a mighty flap in an attempt to seemingly intimidate the enemy forces. "Sorry! Kergin says we should move faster! Also he's hungry and these guys look tasty!" She shouted back towards the others as the Wyvern growled, stomping down the hallway towards their next target, picking up speed to a run in the process. Mercenary and fighter. Kergin might have been a brute, but they both knew how to fight - picking a fight with a swordsman wouldn't be a good idea - so they settled for their next target. The axe guy in the back.

Kergin barreled past the Mercenary, hopefully smoothly moving past him. Opening his toothy maw wide as he made a beeline for the axe wielding fighter. Isolde readied her Halberd to strike or defend herself and Kergin if needed.

Ash watched Scott eagerly, attentively seeing the magic and how he was casting it. Having only seen it maybe twice before, she never really had a chance to see how exactly it worked. She let him guide her claw over the stone, slowly etching the word 'heal' into it. Ah, well, she maybe should sharpen her claws anyways, come to think of it. A thought for later. In all, it was a very enlightening experience. She had expected him to show her the healing magic as an example, not...this.

"Anything should be possible with practice, Naji." Ash replied to the recently saved pixie, she gripped the pebble as best she could with her claw, bringing it up to eye level. "You just need to put forth the effort to learn it." She moved back over to the Crystal, quickly scooping it up in her mouth again before seemingly swallowing it. If the 'inventory' had been right, then she would have a 'throat pouch' or something she could store items in.

1 Mana Crystal added to Inventory.
System: Ash

"As for this stone, correct me if I'm wrong but you somehow made it able to use spells as well?" She theorized. It was a logical conclusion, after all. He had used magic that much was certain, but there were no immediately physical affects. If she wanted to learn or observe, this would be the most efficient method of it, aside from finding hostile pixies or wisps and just watching. If she had to guess, it was some sort of healing item from what he wrote on the name.

Well there we goes, a posty from me.
~~Seleth~~

Early Morning, Church of Aylama.

Bah, fools. The lot of them. She had taken a leave of absence from pretty much everything these past few days, likely causing quite a bit of commotion from other students at the academy. She could already hear their voices. Calling her a coward. Saying she was scared that she'd lose. Saying that she was tucking her tail between her legs like a scared puppy and running. She'd show the lot of them - she wasn't running. She wasn't cowering in fear, no, if anything she was even more determined. She was just...taking some time to self reflect.

...

"Urgh," The Dark Elf cracked open one of her eyes, observing the silent, dimly lit Sanctuary room she meditated in. "This is troubling." She had found herself here often in the last months, questioning a number of things about a plethora of different topics. Most of them related to her behavior and if the Dark Goddess would be happy with her. The small church had become almost a second home to her, the head priest - a beast kin, was quite accommodating and welcoming. "What do I even do?! What is this 'Humbleness' they speak of?" In a rather inelegant fashion, she broke the meditation pose, flailing her outstretched arms in a rather childish fashion. "Argh, I should just blast them all in the face!"

Stopping her whining, she sighed, returning to a cross legged position as she glanced up at the early morning sun through the stained glass window.

...Ah, what to do? She couldn't keep this up, could she? It was obvious she was in the wrong so many times, but...

"You're letting everyone else get to you, Sel." She grumbled as she walked, shaking her head, glancing into a mirror. "You're good. You're skilled, that's just a fact." The melancholic expression that stared back didn't change. "Welp," She stood, brushing off her dress and reclaiming her spear from where it was leaning against the wall. "I'll figure it out as I go, I guess." She shook her head. "How hard can being 'nice' and 'humble' and 'friendly' be?"

Registration Tents

Making her way out of the church, Sel strolled through Zauberheim at a relaxed pace, spear resting on her shoulder as she made her way to the northern courtyard where she should be signing up for this tournament. It was easy, right? She could do something like this. She was one of the best mages in Zauberheim, in all of Meylia! That was just a fact, a simple fact. So why couldn't she stop nervously reciting scriptures and going over the histories of the goddess internally?

Soon enough, she reached the purple tents, surprised to see so few people here. She had expected more competition than this. Perhaps she was worrying for nothing?

"Huhm, I expected more people, but I suppose it's nice that everyone knows their place." She mused quietly to herself. Walking up to the purple tents, she nervously glanced around for any familiar faces. She had a certain...facade to keep up, after all. She couldn't let other people see herself so flustered, especially those that might know her.

~Isabella~

The jar lid popped open rather suddenly, causing her to loose grip on it and sending it into the air, only to plop right down on her head a few seconds later. Some sort of strange amber crystal? She couldn't really tell in this terrible lighting. Oh well, it was probably nothing, so she placed the open jar and the lid back on the table. Prescott seemed quite pleased with the blade, keeping it on the other side of his waist in an extra loop on his belt. He'd need a sheathe for it but if he could get the blacksmith to touch it up a bit, it should be a good blade.

"Oi," Valora narrowed her eyes at the shifting shadows. "Someones down there." She quietly spoke, motioning for the both of them to quit what they were doing. Prescott turned his attention from the sword towards the hallway, leaving the room along with Isabella. "Quiet - it might be the other soldiers, it might not be. Prescott, with me. Princess, behind us." Nodding, Prescott moved up, just behind Valora with Isabella bringing up the rear as the trio moved quietly towards the light.

"Heal...slut?" Ash tilted her head slightly to the side. "I...have no idea what that means, but you realize I could have just left you in there, yes?" She chuckled, though it was mostly just to tease and mess with the Pixie. "But yes, I suppose that is how this is going to work." It was a good deal for her, honestly. Not so much for the Pixie, Naji, but he didn't have much of a choice, did he? Plus, she would feel maybe a tiny bit bad if she didn't help him in some way.

"As for whether I can or not," She turned her head to the other Pixie. "I have MP. However, I have no natural skills that make use of it. After leveling up a few times it's clear that its certainly not a natural skill for Fanged Lizards to learn...hence my interest in these crystals." She tapped the one under her claw again. She should probably store it in her 'throat pouch', whatever that was. Did she just try and swallow it or something? A thought for later at the moment. Scott, the second pixie seemed to suggest something quite a bit dangerous.

"Well...I suppose the best way is through seeing. Oh," She glanced back to Naji. "I know it's hard to tell because I'm a hideous lizard face, but that's miss Lizard. The name's Ash."

"...I see," Well, if he wasn't here to bother her then, she had no reason to be hostile. "Apologies. I've been looking for a good crystal for awhile. Couldn't take the chance that an impish pixie might take it." More importantly though, the one behind the crystal was stuck, was he? Well, she was going to take the crystal anyways so she might as well help him out. Turning back to the crystal, she propped herself up on it again.

You used Alchemy II!
Effectiveness reduced to 80%. This is a solid Material, though it can be used in Alchemy.
---Mana Crystal---
Small Item. Solid. Crystalline. Brittle, can be easily broken or powdered. Low Hardness, can be easily scratched and does not hold up well against pressure. Very Low Sharpness, will not hold an edge. Magical, highly reactive, non-elemental. Mostly Stable.
You have used this item once in a reaction with Fanged Lizard Venom.
---Analysis Complete---
System:Ash

Huhm.

Curious - more than she learned last time from the first level of it. No matter.

"And yes. Seems another Pixie got himself stuck behind there somehow." She mused. "Well, if neither of you are foe I see no reason not to help either of you - hold on a moment." Sinking her fangs into a section of the crystal, she was careful not to break it outright, instead taking a large chunk of it off from the base, holding it in her mouth and freeing the Pixie that had been trapped inside of it. If Pixies could use magic, and she had MP, then it goes to reason she should be able to learn it as well. She just needed to experiment with what exactly Mana was and how to use it.

"There we are," She spat the crystal back onto the ground. Actually...come to think of it, this could be a good chance! She didn't know where Ardur had gone, but perhaps she could learn from these two. "I'm not sure if I can help with your food problem, as I am working on a slightly tight schedule here." She tilted her head slightly to the side, letting her claw rest lightly on the crystal. "...I suppose you are from earth, since you mentioned this 'Demon king'. Humph, and here I thought I might have been special, hah." She chuckled before getting to the point of her being here. "I know we just met and all, but perhaps you two could help a lizard learn how to use magic?"
