Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Still here, too

Just

Had a bit of a rough December.

"Doesn't seem like I need too." Bridget harrumphed, casting a glance over to Delmina. "Looks like your brains didn't go all to your cow tits." The Revenant grabbed the red ones, cracking one for herself to illuminate her surroundings. Not wasting any time, she managed to fasten it to the belt she was wearing. The next four red ones soon followed suit, creating at least a decently visible area in front of her. Still, this darkness made her slightly uneasy. Lost were probably hiding in here somewhere - they always were in places like this. Like annoying little insects scurrying about the dark.

Ahhhh, she wanted to sink her fangs into something already...

"Either of you get in my way," She began trekking into the subway system, keeping her ears open and ready for a Lost ambush. "I might forget you aren't a lost."

Among the thralls, was a rather standoffish revenant dressed in what seemed to be some sort of long, fur lined cloak. For the most part, they had kept to themselves. Even when not out in the field she had never once taken off her mask and had generally avoided talking with others. She hadn't made it easy, either - had someone even tried to, she'd have either told them to get lost or simply glared at them until they got the message.

She hefted her rusty, miasma corroded great sword over her shoulders as she silently waited for her captors to finish. Fools, every last one of them. She wanted to sink her own fangs into them but sometimes, one needed patience. As long as this makeshift bomb was strapped to her, it'd be stupid to try it. She cast a rather cool glare over to a particularly dark skinned one wearing something she'd expect a woman with no standards to even consider it. That one in particular could use a lesson in waiting for an opportunity. When it was finally time for them to be sent, Bridget said nothing. A small grunt and a cold glare to the one holding the gun was all the satisfaction they'd get out of her. So she set off with her group into the subway system.

Stepping past the gate, she was met with a near oppressive darkness. Keh, morons. If they wanted to find Blood Beads at least take care of your playthings.

How to navigate without light...Bridget cast a glance over to Diamond. Oh. She was going to be one of those talkative types, eh? Maybe she could get some entertainment, then. "...Keh, if by working together you mean me using you as a meat shield, then yeah. I'd say sure, lets work together." Diamond couldn't tell, but the other Revenant was grinning under her mask as her slightly muffled, rough voice filled the room. "Though maybe since that fat one over there has a death wish, she'd be better at it, Keh-heh!" Roughly walking past her with a rough laugh, Bridget set her sights on the problem at hand. "...don't do anything stupid and we'll get along juuuust fine, for however long you live."

There was the vague memory of a door just before the gate was closed, but other than that, nothing. She didn't have any sort of gift or object on her that could generate light, either. Walking forward into the subway, Bridget moved deeper in, using what little light there was to navigate and see if she could find anything that could be used as a source of light.

His staff, huh! That would make this exceptionally easy, then. Too bad she missed her chance for a snipe attack earlier. Rina kept to the rooftops still, dancing across acrobatically and crippling any undead dino that might be up there with her. They might be undead, but lop an arm off or close enough, and it'd be hampered enough to render it a non-threat while they dealt with the necromancer. With Tetrad and the others, this should be easy.

Having now gotten close enough to the Necromancer, Rina leaped from the roof tops. Sailing through the air, her attack was intended to be two fold. A Longsword was aimed downwards, right for his hand intending to cut off the one gripping the staff. If that wasn't enough, she was at least close enough to engage in physical combat long enough to distract him from summoning more of those things.

Leader of Penrose. Chloe smiled as Cindy spoke, hiding the small spirit girl's thoughts. She'd have laughed at her assertion and then proceeded to beat the life out of her for making that statement had circumstances been better. Ah, she really didn't care about 'peace and prosperity' to all either. Such nonsensical drivel. She didn't like it, but Cindy was right. If they were going to beat the ascendancy, they were going to need to work together. She could swallow her pride for now, to do that much at least.

"Hmm, I don't think I need to think too much about it." Chloe said in reply. "But I'll wait for my two girls to show up before making any decisions...speaking of, I think they should be to my apartment already. I'll retrieve them and meet you there later, I suppose." Placing the tea down, Chloe opened the door to her own apartment...before promptly being assaulted.

"Chloe!" Aurora had jumped from halfway across the room and face planted right in Chloe's chest.

"Getooff-you-!" Not having any of it, the dark magical girl pried Aurora off her rather easily as Divina soon joined them, grabbing Aurora by the shoulders.

"Chloe. It's good to see you safe." The moth girl smiled, holding Aurora in place.

"Yeah! I almost thought you kicked it, but realized you're too bitchy to die easily!"

"You're lucky I have some use for you." Chloe huffed, folding her arms. "...well, its good to see both of you safe as well. I'll introduce you to Cindy here...but I think for now, I already know how I'm going to handle this." The dark magical girl frowned. "As much as I don't like it, an alliance perhaps, is necessary if we want to deal with the ascendancy, but we can talk more about that later."

"You mean like how you wanted-mmmf!" Divina placed one of her hands over Aurora's mouth before he could say anything else.

"Now now, lets see this shelter, hm?" The moth smiled. "It looks like it could use a bit more...furnishings, but it feels very safe. Ah, that's good. I'd be distraught if these girls weren't." Glaring lightly at a seemingly oblivious or uncaring Aurora, Chloe led the other two to the 'television room'. It was...less entertaining than Chloe had really hoped for. Well, not that she could really find anything really to her tastes on the regular internet. With a brief wave to Cindy to announce the arrival of Aurora and Divina, she took a seat towards the back.

Aurora though, seemed easily caught up with it and was soon joining the others in laughter.

Ash hummed lightly as she looked over the analysis once more. Nothing new, save for that 'Negative Mana' clinging to Rags. What was that about? It didn't show up last time, but what was familiar about it? She however, was not able to ponder the connection long before a system alert got her attention. Shooting her head upwards, Ash turned her head towards the west of the camp. Something watching them? That wasn't good. She narrowed her eyes at it, trying to make it out.

It was hidden well, but she could just make it out among the foliage. Some sort of...four legged creature. She thought it might be a deer or other edible creature she might be able to use for information, but that thought was quickly pushed aside. She could just barely make out what looked to be an arm of some sort. It seemed to be too far or too hidden for her skills to give her any information, or perhaps it had some sort of counter analysis skill that prevented it from being observed?

"Hmph." Ash hissed. "A little lesson for you, Rags. Those who call themselves smart, are often the ones who aren't. Though I doubt you understand that." The Pygmy drake flew to another tree, one closer to that other creature observing them. Hopefully not enough to cause it to realize she had seen it. She could try and interact with it, but that might have some unintended side effects. Likewise just ignoring it could also be difficult to deal with.

Hm.

Torrent could probably deal with the goblins. Her curiosity was getting the better of her, in this case. Now that their attention was on the goat, Ash hopped to another branch, trying to keep herself above the other creatures natural line of sight as she tried to stealthily move closer, keeping her wings as silent as she could as she glided from branch to branch. She kept her analysis skills active. If it did run off, hopefully she could at least get a good read on it before then to assess its threat.
Welp, I did a post.

Hopefully everything is acceptable~

Sarah sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. Agh, she was starting to feel her age these days. Maybe she should retire sometime soon, from both of her jobs. She was good at juggling them while also being a parent, but also teaching a new magical girl? If it was Isana she could do it easily, but fate seemed to have a rather annoying twist to it. She had an affinity for the metal element, whilst she was of the lightning.

She could teach theory and basics, but anything else? She'd have to let that happy go lucky chef handle it, as much as she would rather her not.

"Aaaah, at least she's not ice." She sighed, leaning back in her comfy office chair and draining the rest of her coffee. "I'd have to disown her." She chuckled to herself, gathering up the last stack of papers she had signed. There was a new exhibit opening next week, and along with inspecting the artifacts in question for authenticity as well as getting the promotions and handling clerical duties, she had her hands full with a lot of things.

"Hey! Who'd be disowning who now?"

"Wuh?!" Sarah jumped lightly as the door to her office was almost thrown off its hinges, nearly dropping both her coffee and the papers Isana walked in, her usual lively stride carrying her to a couch nearby before plopping down. Her usual fancy attire was slightly disheveled. Sarah sighed, shaking her head with a small smile. Well, she couldn't say anything since she had been the exact same way. "Do I need to remind you to be quiet in the museum grounds?"

"Eh, no ones here this late." Isana replied with a shrug as she pulled out an energy drink from he purse. "'Sides if you're gonna disown me, I don't gotta listen to ya." Isana gave her mom a dismissive wave as she pulled open the drink.

"You work here part time," Sarah walked over, whacking her daughter lightly on the head. "And I'm your boss, so you have to listen to me anyways."

"Ow-well, what can I say, I'm terrible at following rules."

"I know that very well, thank you." Sarah chuckled lightly. "Well anyways, how was your day, Isana? Finish all your work?"

"Yeah. Cleaned the exhibits, mopped the floor, filed paper work. School was...eh, you know, same old same old." she replied dismissively. "...so when am I gonna get to see the mummies?"

"Maybe once I think you won't try and harm them." Sarah replied, filing some papers in a few cabinets. "Because I could have sworn I received a call from your principal today."

"Ah? He coming to the next exhibit?"

"Well, he did call about that." Sarah said with a small smile as she finished the papers. "However, he also mentioned something odd happening. Something about the car of a a certain disliked teacher having had its engine displaced during school hours. Pretty sure he said something about a rolled up ball of metal, too, being found on the basketball court." Isana nearly choked and sputtered on her drink.

"Ahahaha, w-weird how that happened, huh. Crazy." Isana glanced away from her mother, a small bit of cold sweat forming on her forehead.

"It is, isn't it?" Sarah took a seat back in her chair, resting her chin on her hands and smiling menacingly at her daughter.

"...h-hey now, someone totally wouldn't have turned the cars engine into scrap metal then used it for a basketball, hahahah. That's crazy." She chuckled nervously, nervously taking another drink of the energy soda. "Weird how that happens."

"Isana Mulryan~?" Her mother replied in a suspiciously nice tone.

"Okay okay, I totally played basketball with it!"

"Goddamn it Isana." Sarah sighed, leaning back in her chair. Despite her tone, she didn't seem too upset, luckily for the teenager. "I don't care if you have fun with it, but can you try not to cause a scene?"

"What? The guys a tool and everyone found it hilarious."

"Just don't get caught, okay? Next time just don't leave it behind. I'd really rather not find my daughter the subject of new government experiments."

"Yeah yeah, I'm not gonna get caught." Isana replied with a dismissive tone.
"Anyways, mom, you said you wanted to talk to me about something before we left?"

"Mhm." Sarah frowned. She had thought of how she was going to approach the subject, but no idea sounded great to her. How could she send her own daughter to fight those beasts? Let alone let someone else teach her? It made her nervous. The others probably couldn't understand even if she asked about it. None of them had kids, and their apprentices weren't going to be their own flesh and blood. "...I suppose it's time I stopped putting off getting into contact with Ishimiya." Sarah said. "Like me, she's a magical girl of the older guard, but she's of the Metal element. That is to say, she is the going to train you."

"Eh? Really?" Isana replied, sitting up.

"It's best if you have some sort of teacher." Sarah said, standing up and grabbing her own purse and a light jacket. "I can't teach you because my element is lightning, unfortunately."

"Eeeeh...I dunno, I think I'm pretty good as is." Isana said with a small frown, standing up as her mom walked to the door. Isana grabbed her bag, following her out of the office and towards the Museum's entrance.
"Not like its something I can't just pickup?"

"Isana, shadow beasts are dangerous." Sarah replied seriously, stopping in front of the doors of the museum to turn and face her daughter. "They're not things you can just casually take on by yourself or carelessly-"

Mid sentence, a loud, piercing malevolent shriek echoed through the darkness of the night.

"...speaking of..." Isana looked up at her mom with a gleam in her eye. An almost endearing, childish excitement. Sarah sighed, she couldn't say no here, could she? The older magical girl quickly adjusted Isana's tie, before giving her a quick hug and holding her shoulders.

"Alright. If I tell you no you're gonna go anyways."

"Hehe, I'm glad I have one of the cool parents." She grinned, earning another smack on the head from Sarah.

"I'm serious. You be careful, Isana. If I have to come save you, you're grounded for a week."

"I'll be fiiiine, you worry to much mom." Isana turned, bolting out of the museum.

Maybe one of the other girls would show up? It'd be a good idea to go on patrol herself anyways, in case she found the heir of the lightning element. Sighing, and wishing she could have just one more cup of coffee, Sarah pulled on her jacket and headed out herself.

Running to the source of the commotion wasn't hard. Isana was already fairly physically fit, being a magical girl only made her physical state better. Running across rooftops, across streets, and generally taking the quickest route there, she was at the site within minutes. A convenience store? She could snag a few snacks on the way out once the shadow beast was taken care of. In fact, she could take enough to have enough for awhile, heh.

Pushing that slightly errant thought aside, Isana leaped from the roof of a nearby building, landing on the ground. Right, she needed a weapon. Casually walking by a street lamp, she stopped just long enough to put a hand on it. The metal began warping and morphing, shrinking and compacting itself into a rather crude, hunk of steel. It wasn't the most elegant of weapons, but a giant 'fuck you' club to some monsters head worked just as well as a blade did.

Hefting the mass of metal over her shoulders, Isana walked towards the convenience store, ready to lay the beat down on whatever manner of beast this was.

"Tch..." Rina frowned. She had succeeded in seemingly decapitating it, but it didn't seem to stop the undead sabertooth at all. Well, if decapitation didn't work, then the only logical conclusion would be to mince it until it couldn't move. Quite a brutal strategy, but if it worked, it worked...but that wouldn't be feasible to do for all of them. She needed to take out the big guy, but how? He seemed utterly unphased by her sword - thankfully however, Su seemed to have an answer to that.

"Got it. Keep these things busy, I'll see if I can spot it." Rina left the undead sabertooth and the other beasts to the others. Assuming it should be somewhere around him, Rina began circling around, trying to get a good flank and viewing angle on the Lich and the surroundings, only firing shots to distract or help other girls in the area.

Chloe watched Penny leave with an almost unconcerned expression. She was a big girl, she could handle herself, and if Penny was in any real danger she'd know fairly quickly. No, her attention was more focused on Cindy. She had heard rumors, though she had never really met the other girl herself. First impressions though, were not entirely great. At least this girl seemed to have some manners.

"Fufu, you seem to at least have some taste." Chloe chuckled playfully as she took a seat, accepting the tea offered to her. "I'm used to living with idiots without any class." Picking up the teacup once it was poured, the dark magical girl took only briefly to ponder Cindy's question. "What do I treasure most? Hmm...my good looks and cuteness?" She replied with a cheeky grin. "Or, maybe is it my precious little Penny? I don't know what I'd do if she was hurt. Probably kill whoever it was." Taking another sip, the dmg finally sighed and turned her gaze towards Cindy with a smile. "Treasure is a funny word. I'm a selfish controlling girl, after all. So I'd really have to say my girls. Without them I'd be a little worse off? Plus bossing them around is fun."
