Current It's Good Friday everyone, or as the Romans on Golgotha say, "It's hammer time!"

As a holy paladin, I can't say for certain PrinceAlexus is going to be smighted, but don't be surprised if you find him with a mace in his face.

Claudia had some time earlier to scope out the mansion before she decided to enjoy the view, and a lovely glass of wine, from the patio. The place was indeed gargantuan, but didn't feel so overbearing and sparse. She could tell whoever owned the place before had put alot of work into it, and good on them for that. Everything was just so extravagant and beautiful, from the plush crimson rugs lined with gold accents, the black and white tiled marble floors, to the dazzling chandeliers made of pure crystal glass and the large pillars carved so ornately that stood rank and file, and that was just the main foyer.

There were all the other ammenities one could think of for an elegant and cozy abode such as this, including the attached conservatory. As many bedrooms as one could imagine being in this place, all so artfully decorated with priceless paintings and lavish curtains and sconces, a kitchen downstairs next to a lovely dining room with a long pinewood table, a fairly spacious common room with many chairs and plush, comfy leather couches and loveseats and a grand fireplace already crackling with a few cedar logs, giving the room a pleasant, warm aroma, a study with bookshelves stocked with all manner of books, easy chairs and a glass cabinet filled with various whiskeys, scotches, and ales, and a lounge with a billiard table, a few antique flintlock rifles and medieval swords donning the burgundy painted walls, along with a few animal heads, some deer, some mooses, even a bear or two. there was even a bar in the corner, well stocked with booze and cigars.

But the room that caught Claudia's eyes the most was the breath taking Roman bath. Two large wooden doors led into the room, the inside so lavishly decorated, paying fair tribute to its ancient roots. The bath itself was quite large, almost like a swimming pool with its rectangular shape and cerulean tiles. Wisps of steam danced upon the sheen, crystal surface of the water, sparkling from the pleasant light of chandeliers and torch sconces. Lining the bath were great columns carved from the finest marble holding up the open air balcony and the roof above, painted with a lovely scene of cherubs frollicking in the clouds.

The air inside was so warm and soothing and smelled so clean with the scent of fresh mineral water.

A pleasant smile crept across Claudia's lips as she closed the door behind her gently and wasted no time undressing and wading into the soothing hot waters, melting into the bath with a relaxing sigh, ~"Ahh...I do enjoy a nice, hot bath."~ Pleasantly she mused, taking a cloth from beside the bath and a glass vial of chamomile body wash. She bathed herself, quietly humming and enjoying the delectable scent of chamomile.

"Hello...are you alright?"

The LT looked up at the girly voice coming from the soldier in front of her, a more proper medic emblem on her helmet than that of...well...Crazy...

As she glanced up, one of her lenses cracked, the table beside her crumbled to pieces. Helena merely sighed indifferent standing to her feet, "At ease, Corporal. I'm alright. There's been another...accident...over at the firing range. If you would, go patch that soldier up before he gets his leg chewed off by Crazy. I need to speak with our comm officer David."

She could hear the frightened laments of the troops nearby, shaking her head with an irtitated sigh, even moreso when that wild beast came bounding past her with that...that fucking chainsaw. Why hadn't Private Higgins kept that berserker on a leash like he was supposed to?

Helena made her way past the gun range and down the sandy slope, where sat David....what the hell was he doing?

The LT just stood there behind the comm officer for a moment, annoyed by the second by that crappy 80s synth pop, not making her presence known until she reached down and flipped the radio off. "Any word from Command yet?" She said glaring down at him with an expectant pause.

And they wonder why the Yellows are always better than them.
DAY 1

RED BASE CAMP FOXTROT
0800 hours

Dirt...that's all she could see for miles and miles. Just dirt...and rubble.

Lieutenant Major Helena Sheppard sat at the rickety wooden table beside her tent, field stripping and cleaning her 1911 before reassembling it with a sigh, somewhat muffled by the bulky respirator over her face. Eight months, four days, and twenty seven hours, that's how long her squad had been traveling through this god forsaken wasteland until they even made it to the base camp, and not to mention how long she had gone without any sleep. With the Yellows and the Blues giving them hell at every turn, it was difficult to get any shut eye, that and hearing her squadmates bitch and whine because one guy's gun was better or they didn't want to sleep...next to Crazy...

Sheppard couldn't blame them for that though...

With tired, bloodshot eyes, she looked through the smoky lenses of her respirator at the rotted wooden sign next to a couple of tents. Slapped dashed on it in white, chipping paint:

-CAMP FOXTROT-
Accident free for 12 days

A gunshot suddenly rang out amidst the howling wind, followed by rancorous shouts of, "GOD DAMMIT! AHH MY FUCKING FOOT!! WHO THE FUCK DID....?! FRIENDLY FIRE, YOU GOD DAMN SON OF A BITCH!! OWWW!"

The soldier standing post by the sign glanced over then scratched the "12" off the sign with a piece of chalk.

Helena slammed her head against the table groaning. A seasoned veteran with a kill count to boot, a warrior who cut her teeth on the battlefield, and here she was..."babysitting." She groaned whacking her face against the table again and again.

This was gonna be one hell of a day...

~"Mmm yes, it is quite the oddity."~ Claudia agreed nodding to the extravagantly dressed fellow. ~"But the place is rather charming, if I do say so myself."~ She turned toward the elegant Victorian mansion standing before them. Claudia wasn't too certain who, or possibly what, brought these strangers together here, but at least they had nice tastes.

It stood tall and proud, like the majestic castles of Olde England, amidst the beautiful countryside, well...most of it beautiful aside from the forest of withered and gnarled rooted trees that encompassed much of it.

Claudia yawned giving a light stretch. ~"This has been all and well, my dears, but I believe I must retire for the evening. It's getting late."~ And with that, she turned on her heels and casually walked towards the mansion, all the while happily humming to herself and swaying her hips. She paused at the door however, a sly smirk creeping as she glanced over her shoulder at the three. ~"You know....I wouldn't be surprised if one of you cheeky little things had something to do with this. C'est la vie."~ She jested with a giggle then slipped through the door.

Claudia shot the red haired boy a look putting her sunglasses back on. What a surly little cunt he was to say she had never experienced the harsh reality of the world. Why, she had half a mind to storm over and backhand the bastard, but she kept her composure. She was more refined now than her haughty, youngr self. A brief bought of laughter and sass, she turned to him with a hand on her hip, ~"Honey, the slums would be a cake walk compared to what I have experienced. Try being a scared little girl running from a mob of knights during the bloody Crusades, or better yet, hiding from the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto."~

Dark times she spoke of indeed, and oddly as though....she had experienced them firsthand.

Impressed she was no less with the boy's knowledge of firearms, raising an eyebrow as he disassembled the small pistol then put it all back together, not a piece out of place.
@ineffable
She is gonna catch so much hell for her low kill count, but either way, accepted!
@Amithea

Claudia smiled warmly, leaning down and planting a gentle kiss on the girl's hand. My word, her skin was smooth as porcelain. ~"Charmed."~ She gave a soft chuckle quite enamored. ~"I must say, my dear, this is all rather strange, wouldn't you agree? I was just minding my own business enjoying the fresh autumn air, when out of nowhere these two buffoons began bickering."~ She sighed a bit irritated. ~"Honestly, it would have soured my lovely afternoon had you not arrived. Tell me dear, what is your name?"~ Claudia asked removing her sunglasses. Her rose eyes, they practically shimmered like precious rubies amidst the warm glow of the sun upon her fair skin, her long, auburn hair flowing gracefully caught in the cool breeze.

Evelyn sputtered back to life gasping for air, coughing and groaning in pain. God damn, was her neck still sore, as weas the rest of her body from the beating she took. What the hell happened? First Anna had her pinned to the wall about to deliver the coup de grace. Then suddenly this black shadow appeared behind Anna and ran her through with...some sort of tentacle.

Wait...shadows...dark tendrils...

"Ku...Kurai...!" Ev sputtered weakly, another bout of ravaging coughs driving her down as she tried to stand. Meanwhile a barely concious and badly wounded Anna lied against the wall clutching her stomach and breathing heavily.

"Пожалуйста ... не ..." Anna whimpered holding a hand up towards the demonic Kurai. The pain she felt, twas obvious in those flickering green eyes of hers, pain...and fear... Fear...

"Пожалуйста ... не ..."

"Kurai...don't!" Evelyn managed to get out staggering to her feet. That look in Anna's eyes, the wounded Russian girl whimpering, beghing for them not to hurt her... Ev should be relishing this moment, to see the bitch down on her knees, to let Kurai have his way with her, but....Ev couldn't do it...

Anna wasn't killing of her own free will. She was a slave... Who knows whst monsters she had to face in her life, and Ev...she wasn't going to be a monster.

"Just...let her go, man... We need to get out of here." She hoped the demon would listen to reason. She hoped she wouldn't have to attack Kurai if he tried to harm Anna.
