So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within.

I run a Star Wars based Meme Page on Facebook (Migs Mayfield - Core), and live my best life right now.

Armania, a world torn by war through the centuries. Cut off from the rest of the Galaxy by choice thousands of years ago, the Armanian people have lived a sheltered existence. Forgetting about the Galaxy as a whole, dividing into clans fighting for domination of the planet and her resources. That all changed in the 2109th Year after the Great Divide, space travel had just begun once again with exploration of the planets in the solar system. The discovery that their moon was habitable, and the research of their own solar system. It wasn't long until what was once a long range Antenna in a museum in the capital city of Relti was reactivated upon detecting an inbound fleet.

A fleet belonging to the Separatist Alliance. With the fact that Armania was off the grid so to speak the tacitcal droid in charge of the operation was given orders to immediately occupy and go to work constructing mines on the resource rich moon and planet, without consideration for it's people. Armanians were put to work if they resisted, their infrastructure taken over and their entire planet was taken over by the Separatist Alliance. A common enemy was all the Armanians needed to unite, the clans coming together and forming the Rhiad - A council of the most influential families and individuals to rule the planet. They mounted a resistance and though the Amranian people were technologically inferior they managed to mount a reasonable defense. Many of them securing themselves in the new joint capital of Relti.

Within a year the Empire came and wiped out the Separatist Forces, the regional Moff recognising the wealth of materials on the planet moved in with the intent of 'supporting Armania and bringing it up to a Galactic Modern standard, while providing support and security to the Armanian people'. They brought in the Mining Guild to add 'Efficiency, safety and professional standards' to the mines that had unlocked precious minerals on Armania and it's moon, Meroona. They worked slow, slowly increasing their grip on the planet. Initially they only made decisions relating to their own operations, however occasionally they would make decisions that should belong to the Rhiad. Rumours began to spread of people disappearing from Armanian prisons, and word was that they were pressed into service by the Empire. Slaves.



OOC Information


Welcome to Star Wars - Liberation! This Roleplay takes place on a planet of my own creation: Armania. Armania is a planet that is inhabited by humans who moved to the planets thousands of years ago, during The Old Republic. They dismantled their vessels and turned them into their first citys, forgetting about the outside Galaxy. Over time clans formed, and they fought amongst themselves for superiority and control. Technology didn't advance, nor did the Armanian people rely on it. Droids were kept for the rich and powerful, rather than replacing the working class. Weapons ranged from old blasters to slugshooters.

The most important historical event prior to the CIS Occupation was during the Great Divide, a war where the Alaxians and Githan Clans united the other minor clans into North and South in a collosal war that spanned one hundred years. No clear winner was declared and an uneasy peace continued for many years. The CIS Occupation changed everything, and the two sides moved on to their new enemy who ravaged the planet, till the Empire came and replaced it, it's been three years of Imperial Rule.

We will be playing characters who, for some reason or another, were captured by the Empire and forced into slavery. Unsure on where they are, all they know is that they want escape.

I intend to get a brief history of each clan up tomorrow. Though for the sake of people wanting an OOC and wanting to do their sheets. I'm posting these as is.










Rules


1. While I am open to Input, like many RP's GMs word is law.
2. No killing off other player characters/Important NPCs with just one hit. Discussion needs to happen OOC and agreements need to be made that said...
3. If you do something incredibly stupid, such as putting your character right in the way of a turbolaster blast. They're probably going to die, while I want to avoid having anyones chars/npcs die when they don't want them too, try to act logically with them to preserve their life.
4. Please keep interactions realistic when imprisoned. You are a prisoner.
5. No Metagaming/Powergaming.
6. This Roleplay is going to contain some slightly more mature themes, blood, gore and swearing is allowed however should be kept tasteful (no doing it just for the sake of doing it). Anything in regards to what you are doing to that alien hooker, we don't need to know.
7. In your character history mention some form of dealing with a Lonely Long walk one Night.
8. Initial Maximum of Two PCs per player, further can be discussed after at least four good quality posts in two weeks.
9. Respect eachother.
10. Have fun.

It is a time of conflict in the Galaxy, the Emperor is dead alongside his right hand man Darth Vader during the destruction of the Second Death Star above the forest moon of Endor during a battle that saw many of the Imperial War Machines Senior naval officers perish. As the Rebellion transitions into the New Republic all out war spreads throughout the Galaxy. A war, that is rife with opportunity.

Jabba the Hutt is dead, his sailbarge destroyed. The remaining Hutts, their numbered diminished, all vie for the scraps in order to absorb Jabbas vast criminal empire into their own. Meanwhile new players enter the field, Hutt Space is a buzz with activity as known Crime Lords rise up from the ashes of the fallen while the former Giants of the underworld try to maintain control. All the while forces of the Imperial Remnant and New Republic view the sector in chaos with greedy eyes.




O O C I N F O R M A T I O N

In this Roleplay, Players will be playing characters confined within Hutt Space. Political shiftings in the wider Galaxy, as well as within this area of space provides a rich canvas for players to make their own stamp on Star Wars history. Shall you fight with the New Republic to liberate those that have lived under the Hutts for centuries? Or will you seek the power that the Hutts once held for yourself? It is possible for a player to play as part of one of the GM controlled factions, to form their own faction or to alternatively act as an individual just trying to make a living in a dangerous galaxy. If you make a faction, you do not need to play the leader of the faction.

There are two types of application, character and faction. For those of you just wanting to be scum for hire, all you need to do is fill out a character application. For those wanting a faction you will have to fill out the CS of any character you intend to use as a PC.

Character Sheet

This sheet can be tweaked to your personal tastes, categories can be removed or added. The important ones that need to be kept are Name, Species, Appearance, Skills, Weaknesses and History. In terms of Canon we're sticking to the current Disney Canon (Canon articles on Wookiepedia). If there is something you wish to use/draw from that is from Legends and not in current canon it shall be discussed on a case by case basis. OCs only.

Can I play a Force Wielder?

Yes, however there needs to be detailed explanation to how they discovered this affinity for the force and how any training was achieved.

Can I join a player faction?

That is up to the player who made the faction.

Can I join a GM Faction?

Yes, it is encouraged. I view them as less GM Factions as GM controlled. My control over them is how I control he world that we're in and ensure that everyone has something to get them going.

Where does my character start?

That is entirely up to you, I know that some players will have an idea straight from the get go of what they want to do. Do not fear, I'm going to be giving everyone something to get the ball rolling. I'd advise a major centre of activity such as Nal Hutta, Nar Shadda, Ilos Minor or Sleyhorn.

So to anyone interested, I'm going to try something different as a GM in this game. I am not making a Protagonist, I will assist with NPCs where necessary however I'm taking a step back, to make sure that this game is driven by your actions and not mine.

Review aa requested. I just read the sheet got no contextual understanding of the rp. Anyone reading this and getting scared, I'm bit affiliated with the rp just got asked to do this.

1) Why is he such an idealist?
2) Parts of your psych profile don't make sense. Go over it again.
3) If his parents area as idealistic, how has his family retained status among the corrupt. They're a weak link and aren't going to play the same political games as everyone else.
5) so was he put in with just the run of the mill cadets?
6) How did he discover this differences? What was the result?
7) So these cadets were from high ranking families, as they were already corrupt? There were no people there to just try for a better life?
8) Had he never come in contact with any other high ranking/status officials before? If so how did he not notice the corruption?
9) Bleeding Heart implies that he's not going against people but instead caring too much. Also I assume by title you mean what other people think of him and not a callsign? Callsigns are typically simple things that roll off the tounge. 'Skyguy' 'Farm boy' 'Starbuck' 'Apollo''Buckshot'
10) Why would a lesser person lose faith or go into denial? Why didn't he? He loves the empire and people, how can he justify this?
11) In the military you can't just speak out against superiors.
12) if he's really speaking out against the empire they can just get rid of him, if his family is as goody two shoes as you say I can't imagine they're gonna do much in terms of manipulation to stop it or get him back. Not to mention he's a combat pilot, not terribly hard to get rid off. Did anyone say suicide mission?
13) Why would he challenge them to a duel? Why would they accept?
14) How did that gain him authority?
15) Why did the superiors he challenged to duels, and beat not dispose of him?
16) Wouldn't he try to avoid being too outspoken? As I said above, he'd be easy enough to get rid off.

These are the points I noticed without reading background.
