So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

Hey, he doesn't represent the rest of us!

No, I represent the best of us.

Suited and booted.

I take it back. You're the new NR. There was so much tryhard here.

I am insulted Sir. I have a level of sophistication few others possess.
@AndyC just a heads up, the fight is currently on the badlands that is uninhabited. That's not to say the plane didn't end up in the city, your call, just wanted to make sure you knew this

It's Felicity Smoak.

It's Vandal Savage.

Because he's a complete and utter...

@Sep I'm also enjoying FemFlash. I had just finished reading a Superman post before hopping over here. I'm game for meet ups. Maybe someone can meet the X-Force after they handle that storm.

Yes. You were real subtle about who they were facing.

I still need to get round to introducing the other potential Reverse Flash alter egos (Or the actual one? Nobody knows who it could be. Wait, do I know?).
This ain't an argument I'm gonna touch with a ten foot super pole.

It ain't really an arguement.

#DiscussionWizard

There's a difference between mandating that a woman must direct a woman-centric movie, and when a woman happens to be chosen to direct a woman-centric movie because of their merits and is subsequently celebrated for it. You are arguing against the former, Andy, and you are right - affirmative action just for the sake of diversity instead of selecting and awarding those best suited for the role, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, etc, is a bad idea. But I believe Henry is discussing the latter. I don't see him reducing the discussion down to collectives, I see you two debating two entirely different aspects of the industry.

Yeah basically.

Slowly catching up on IC events. Really digging the Superman stuff, but I've always liked how Andy writes supes, which is saying something because I really have almost no interest in him normally. Also, every time I read Bounce's intro monologue I hear the Law & Order sound effect after I finish it.

No mention of the Flash.

I see how it is. #1v1MeQuicksilver

Because representation matters, and said people can represent the struggles of a female better than men can.

I get that, but what I'm getting about is all the patting on the back people give eachother because they're doing that.

Probably because women becoming more prominent in Hollywood is a fairly newish phenomenon, and there aren’t a great deal of female-led prodctions so those few are given a pretty big spotlight.

I’unno, I don’t mind it usually. So long as they’re making solid movies and not more Ghostbuster remakes.

I don't care what gender/ethnicity a director is so long as the movie isn't shit.

But then if the female lead or directors shit and you call it shit people call you sexist.
Skin tone is definitely not the defining feature or trait of Manchester Black. So long as the actor fits the role and character, and it's done well, there's nothing wrong with not looking 100% like the original comic art. I think everyone will live.

I honestly don't care with the ethnicity, or even if they genderbend. After all they're creating an adaptation, not an exact copy.
