Varius Gilver

"Hmph, 'fried' you say Shuai, but I'm afraid I do not make such a primitive dish. Behold, tempura tuna", he responded as a montage of making the batter, applying it to the fish, frying it, and taking it out to put it onto a neatly organized dish with sauce took place. With that ready it was only up to Shuai to take that... And the request salmon sushi.

Unfortunately they did not bring salmon, but Varius was not one to be unprepared.

"My family may not be here today, but our delivery networks never rest. I took the liberty of sending a notification to the fishery in town", with a click of his fingers a crate parachuted down in the middle of the food court relayed by a helicopter with his family company's logo on it before flying away. Upon Shuai opening the crate to deliver the contents to the stand he would find it was full of salmon. Soon as it was taken to the stand, Varius would proceed to prepare the salmon sushi as if nothing abnormal had happened.

"I hope the food is to your liking dear customers", an incredible display... Such was the power of wealth one supposes.
Warakuma Train Terminal

Saturday
1/8/15

Rui greeted Kotori as she arrived,

"Good morning Kotori, you're among the first ones here", he greeted. Giving his usual soft expression.

"Morning Kotori! But you know Kazuki, the beeach, it's summer, it has to be the beach!",

"Ugh, come on, you're being a child", Megumi proceeded to pout, but before she could say anything both Ryan and Sato had arrived too. Rui waved good morning to them as they made their way to the platform.

"We still have a little over half an hour for our train, but I figured making the meeting time now would give everyone time to make it", he stated. It seemed reasonable, considering the type of people they had in their motley crew, especially also because this was summer break, some might like to sleep in.
Warakuma Train Terminal

Warakuma Town was always a small town for quite some time, but because it was close enough to the city, while being not too far away from country towns, it was seen as having immense potential to becoming a new major residential. More people moving from the country towns to someplace more affordable and close enough to the city. As such, the very first thing that was built was the train terminal.

It's modern design really stuck out from Warakuma's still-mostly dated architecture, so it was really hard to miss. The very early hours of the morning dipped the air with a distinct chill, but as soon as one stepped out of the shade they would find that the sun had already begun blazing this time of morning. The train trip to the beach was roughly an hour long, so if they wanted to make it well before lunch they'd have to be up as early as 9. This was no issue for most of them, or at least it shouldn't be, they wake earlier for school after all.

Kazuki despite his dismissal of the event was already there with Megumi, who seemed somewhat excited, while Kazuki held a somewhat annoyed look. Rui had arrived not long after the rest, but as soon as they arrive all that was left was to wait.
That being said, we got anything going for a unified overarching storyline?
We'll still need people at the top to organize mission requests and story requests.

I'm sure a lot of us have some character arcs in mind that we'd like to see realised.
With how everything's set up, likely not. I was given something and was forced to make it work, so unfortunately flexibility is limited this late in the RP.
Well I guess you can start with checking the story summary, which I also need to look into updating.

The main problem is it'd be hard to introduce a new character with what's already happened, and it's also just hard in general to act as if your character was with us the whole time.

There are very abnormal hurdles for you to overcome is what I'm saying.
Not really, familiarity with the game's systems and skills would be all that is needed. This is it's own isolated store.

Though if you are interested I'll need to see if I can make any space... Last I checked there were very few openings as little as 1-2, even then, we're kind of at a difficult impasse as we're in 2nd phase and integrating new characters would be a fair challenge.

In which case I'll accept if you're active, we also keep this thing alive on skype where most OOC action goes on.

Varius Gilver

"Hmhm, I see it is there are those who desire sushi. Perfect timing, as it so happens I have completed yet another batch, no thanks needed", Varius had the most confident expression on his face, moreover he seemed to actually be having fun. Given how grim and cynical he was on missions it was a near surprise. He seemed quite fond of exercising his skill with a blade.

"Furthermore I welcome you Sterling. It appears losing team members these days has become a common occurrence. Must not look good for Beacon's track record these days, thus we must strive to stay together", he expressed. It honestly was a somewhat surreal experience to see Varius wearing a Japanese chef's uniform while saying such things, even more with Taidan's choice of waiter uniform, it was a western style. Their styles didn't even match, showed how disorganized they were, plus the fact that they only had tuna, regardless Varius made the best of it, in his opinion at least.

"Also... Lunch should be forthcoming. We may expect many more people to come. Help would be appreciated".
Jungle Tabernacle - Lair of the Brood

@Zarkun

"You expect me to believe someone else is out there? Someone like that?!", she didn't believe it. Rather, she could not, it seemed too convenient for this Nebilim to use as an excuse.

"Moreover, you ask that I relinquish something so valueable to me and my brood?! Such nerve! What do I gain from this?", it was true, she stood to lose a lot more than she gained. All that was really promised was safety in exchange for both what was allowing her brood to grow faster than normal, as well as the services of her brood. But in all this Broodmother's primitive origins, a shrewdness had developed over the years, that would not be put to the test until now.

"Well... If those are your demands. Then I shall make some bold ones of my own!... Bring me a vessel", she stated. A vessel?

"You may seem confused, but I wish not to be bound by my mother's form and mind, as you suspect. I still do not believe it, but if you wish for me to help you, then give me the comfort that all will be mine own", she continued. So she wanted a vessel...? A new body so to speak.

"Anything will do, human, demon... Angel. I need something from which I can continue exerting my will, away from the flesh of Silitha. Preferrably, a female". So these were her terms... One life, in exchange they can not only gain an ally, but also continue on with their quest in these woods. What would his answer be...?

The demonic hordes seemed to thicken but those observing from further away would realize that the incoming demons were thinning greatly. It seems every demon within a certain radius had come, but not every single one in the forest. As a biologist or animal watcher may observe, it was almost like they were scrambling for a spot at a watering hole. Suffice to say the raw power emanating from the orb Akoni now holds is strong enough that that would be an apt analogy.

Souta's systematic and clever use of arsenal made demons that stood before him a simple task, with proper application each demon was efficiently slain, with few unnecessary movements coupled with creativity and flexibility allowed him to continue his warpath. Where Souta showed cleverness, Fenn's charge showed brute force as demons seemed to just fly as soon as he got close. It wasn't unexpected he was the closest to the mausoleum.

Lily's strength and grace made every encounter seem deliberate, the force and power of her blows with her movements gave way to a dance that could not be stopped. In mere moments she would find herself at the doors of the mausoleum. As soon as all three had arrived, a crowd of angels swooped down as reinforcements and intercepted yet another crowd of demons. This was their chance to slip in secure the building. Should they capture it, defending from the demons would be a simple task.

They would upon entry bear witness to Akoni making use of the orb, blasting the Hatred with a concentrated beam. For the short moment it struck, the force managed to cause the Hatred to stagger, giving the Champion a moment to get a strike in, but soon the angelic warrior was brushed away. The beam was strong, but it was not enough to pierce the Hatred, plus the force alone was impressive. He need only a bit more time to focus it.
