As the guild hall collapsed around Lexus Dominiel and December, Lexus Dominiel was at first tempted to try to shield her from the debris. While knowing that Almighty God could not be harmed by such trivialities, Lexus Dominiel saw it as an affront to let December be sullied in any way. Yet her brooding silence and lack of response to Lexus Dominiel's report compelled Lexus Dominiel to stand at attention in silence, awaiting December's commands. Perhaps December wished to immerse herself in the destruction, to let the apocalypse wash over her, to feel, for one last time, the remnants and dust of this world.

@Hammerman @Rune_Alchemist

Lexus Dominiel, of course, didn't give a rat's ass about whether or not Senna and Selena could weather the storm of crumbling guild hall, though it did note with some respect the ease with which their frail-seeming bodies survived effortlessly.

"It wasn't supposed to happen this way." December turned to face Lexus. Her voice was sullen, but resolute. "This isn't the apocalypse I wanted."

The supports finally collapsed and the vaulted ceiling began to cave in. With a few powerful beats of her peregrine wings, she soared upwards, and unleashed a pulverizing sonic roar at the falling debris. Destructive waves of sound blasted a hole in the stone allowing her to escape into the sky above.

Lexus Dominiel fell to its knees in reverence, but lifted its face towards December with a mechanical, grinding fury, driven by a maddening sense of failed duty. God was not pleased. Lexus Dominiel cast 'Amnesty' to temporarily release itself from the restraints of gravity, and opened its large intricately machined wings to take flight, following its Lord towards the sky. "It is well that the beast of destruction has been stopped then," Lexus Dominiel declared, coming to the conclusion that the beholder being destroyed was all part of December's divine plan. "But then, are the beings of this world forgiven, or do you desire a different end? Or perhaps do you wish to have the beings of this world relearn you Name and your Laws? Shall I call the other gods together to hear your commands?" Lexus Dominiel placed the head of its hammer towards its chest and lowered its gaze in a floating bow of reverence.
As December desperately thought about wanting to speak and question her surroundings, she felt the muscles in her throat writhe, contort, and give way to accommodate a few rapidly growing nodules. She coughed with a deep, husky voice that she knew was her own, but was still altogether alien and strange to her.

Looking down at the two girls she was talking with before, and her divine construct kneeling in reverence, she began to realize her predicament. "Lexus?!" She turned to the other two girls. "What's going on?!" The alarm in her voice unintentionally sounded more like barely contained anger, as the predatory rumble in her throat pounded the air. She could scarcely control her own body as it reacted to her thoughts and mood.

"Sorry, sorry...Heh, I'm suddenly feeling a tad bit excited." Senna managed to calm herself down a tad bit, tearing her eyes away from the fight with the beholder. "I don't know what happened, but it seems perhaps this game just became much, much more real." That was the only conclusion she could come too, at least.

Selena reflectively jumped out of her seat, pushing the chair she was down to the floor with a loud crash, and drew her knife when she saw the beast sitting where December should've been. When the knight made his appearance and bowed down to the creature, saying things like "punishing the mortals" and the like, Selena became even more suspicious on the creature. Only after the creature spoke that she understood that it was December all along.

"D-December, i-is that you? W-what happened?"

When Selena drew her knife Lexus Dominiel immediately stood up and pounded the haft of its warhammer, Punish the Guilty, into the ground with a resounding boom and mild tremor as a warning, but the small villager girl's aggression immediately stopped after her realization, so Lexus Dominiel relented. After all, it wouldn't do for Lexus Dominiel to really challenge one of December's fellow gods, and it was perfectly understandable, December had transformed suddenly.

But December's question caused a moment of doubt to cross Lexus Dominiel's mechanical mind, how could December, the All-Knowing, show uncertainty? Lexus Dominiel chastised itself for even allowing that thought. Obviously December was demanding a report from Lexus Dominiel on the status of the Apocalypse, to confirm that things were going smoothly. "The creature that the 'flesh demon god' summoned is in the process of destroying the world, as you planned. However, many of your fellow gods have begun attacking it. If you demand so, I can stop them, but if it is your will to allow them to continue, then I will not interfere."

Lexus turned to the two nearby to address their concerns, wondering what the horned demon meant by 'game'. "My Lady, the Gracious and Just, has taken on a most frightening countenance in order to participate in the Apocalypse and strike fear into the hearts of the unworthy."

Looking around, many of the other gods seemed stunned or confused. This made sense to Lexus Dominiel, invoking the Apocalypse even had an affect on the lesser Gods, only December, who was supreme and untouchable, and Lexus Dominiel, who was unswervingly faithful and completely accepting and obedient of December's every decree, would be unaffected by the Doom of the World.

Heeey, I had to stick offline for a week and forgot to put a note here. Am back now, though, so, eh

I am enjoying this Silas vs Felix drama, just so you folks know. Please continue.

@Stern Algorithm @Regitnui [Edited] Nevermind, I'm dumb and didn't check the post page.
On a somewhat related note, I kind of hate it that the forum tries to guess the last post you read instead of just going to the latest page? It has made me look like a fool like a million times.

I think you can just post in all honesty, since the snake is addressing Lyra right now. All ShiZhen's gonna do is essentially struggle and try not to drown, while attempting to break through the snake's ice scales.
@Stern Algorithm So essentially only the Etherion will react to his will?

And on the helicopter thing, beyond not being able to do crazy stuff, he's a solid helicopter pilot?

yes to both, basically. There can be restrictions to his being able to react with the Etherion of other people's mechs, such as requiring a certain interface.

@Crimmy
I was thinking about doing a mecha that dug under ground and sent drill missiles upwards to attack enemies. Haven't though about component part, but I guess I'll be legs since those are still open.

I'll just leave this here: gaogaigar.wikia.com/wiki/Drill_Gao
<Snipped quote by Stern Algorithm>

There's the, ah, obvious, as well as more mundane duties. Acting as a negotiator, helping keep track of plans and winnings, training, carrying supplies, assisting in administering justice, and some diplomacy in both "gunboat" and "legitimate" flavors.

Awesome. I guess I just wasn't sure if Michel was Pecta's 'type'.
@Stern Algorithm

Why is he in a helicopter component if he's mediocre at piloting a helicopter? If a situation turned up where everybody isn't combined, wouldn't he be in a real jam? And on the psychic thing note, so thanks to jabbing Etherion into his veins, he's now a telekinetic? Or by telepathic, his brain's connected to the "Disconnected Rapid Armament Group Overlook Operation Network"? Does this work outside of the robot?

I meant that he wasn't some sort of 'ace pilot' who could, despite limited armaments on the helicopter, out-dogfight a fighter jet with a seasoned pilot. You know, just so my character's not ridiculously OP and good at everything he touches. I figured that if I want to request that my character have psychic abilities of all things, he should have some weaknesses, or at least not be super amazing at everything.

I was thinkimg the Etherion in him just makes him able to interface with other Etherion based technology via some sort of mind/machine interface AKA a specialized helmet in the robot. Any psychic abilities outside of just controlling the blades might be esoteric or unreliable.
I'd like to be a pilot!

I already have an idea for his mech!

I was thinking what Etherion could be used for, and I thought that if its an energy source, then its gotta used for BEAMS!

So my idea for the mech is that its vehicle mode is a tandem rotor helicopter, like the following:

Except each rotor has five blades. By itself, the helicopter can't do much, it has a simple beam machine gun mounted on the front and little else, used mostly for scouting and transport. But when combined, the helicopter forms the shoulders and upper arms of the mecha, the rotors folding and draping behind the shoulders. Now each of the 10 blades (5 per rotor) is a 'funnel' or 'bit' or 'remote laser' or dragoon' or what have you, basically, a small, remotely controlled, self-propelled, flying laser gun, that can detach from the rotor and fly around, attacking independently as demonstrated in the below video in an attack traditionally called an all-range attack:

Now it would be cool if these blades could also emit beam swords. This would allow the entire rotors to be detached and used as GIANT DOUBLE STAR-SHAPED BEAM SHURIKENS, or spun at high speeds to generate a BEAM SHIELD. The rotors could also simply swivel forward in a configuration where all attached blades point forward and spin, firing off a DOUBLE SHOULDER-MOUNTED BEAM GATLING ATTACK.

My character then, would be a youngster, who was intentionally exposed to Etherion as an experiment, and gained psychic powers, allowing him to telepathically control these blades. As a helicopter pilot, he is mediocre, but his job on the mecha is to coordinate the blades.
@Stern Algorithm, I think your and my characters would be a good match together. If you don't mind, I'd like to have 'em work together.

What services would Pecta request from Michel?
Something miraculous happened. As Lexus Dominiel gained sentience, its mind and its past filled in the blanks, gaps and loose ends that invariably came with an imperfect, human creation, especially one whose personality was changed at the last minute as part of a joke. Lexus Dominiel's body stayed perfectly still, but its single mechanical eye swiveled in its viewing slit, back and forth taking in its surroundings. There were many gods in this location, doubtlessly lesser associates of the One True Lord and Creator, December. Many of them appeared to be gods of darkness and evil, but it was not Lexus Dominiel's place to question December's choice of company, after all, God works in mysterious ways. One question did come up and was worth asking, why hasn't the world ended yet?

But before Lexus Dominiel could voice its concern, it heard the cry of some demonic beast as it saw the red beam carve through the guild hall. If memory served, one of the lesser gods had summoned this foul creature, yet for it to be causing destruction immediately upon the strike of Apocalypse, it was no doubt a great beast of Armageddon, summoned by the lesser god at December's bidding to cleanse and purify the world of sinners, albeit in a slow, inefficient manner, but it was not for Lexus Dominiel to question.

"Splendid, My Lord, this beast shall strike fear into the hearts of the unworthy," Lexus Dominiel declared in a booming, mechanical voice, praising December. Just then a knight, a champion of one of the other gods, attacked the creature. "Stop!" Lexus Dominiel called out, "Do not interfere with God's Plan!" However, Lexus Dominiel did not make a move to stop the knight, believing that December's beast of destruction was unstoppable and that the knight was merely throwing himself to his doom. Instead, Lexus Dominiel turned to its creator in fealty, bowing. "Mercy of Mercies, I do not presume to question your wisdom, but if this creature does not suffice your plans to destroy the world, then, as ever, I am at your beck and call. Give me The Word, and I shall punish the mortals and crush them with the weight of their own, innumerable sins."

@Lord Zee @BurningDaisies
Does anyone feel up for being Michel's client/business partner? It would probably be something along the lines of Michel using his skills to pay for safe passage/escort/transportation to Heidek. Not limited to sex and companionship, Michel is educated and can teach reading and writing to the illiterate, or use his alchemical skill to a limited capacity.

I also want to point out that Michel is more courtesan than prostitute. Catamites are afforded a certain degree of social standing, as well as some diplomatic immunity. Traveling with a catamite is viewed as an honor and a convenience. (With GM's permission, of course). They usually don't carry much money, tending to pay with services, and travel with their certificate which grants them entry into most places.
