Good, good. Let the students kill each other.
I was actually looking forward to Dragomar. Huh.

It was another year for the prestigious school known as Avalice. Another year meant another day in Class Camellia, or Class-C as they were so lovingly labeled as. Whatever stigma was attached to the name was probably well-warranted, though Kiara felt no concerns in discovering the reputation’s history. Instead, she was focused on more practical matters, such as reading over some spare notes and other materials of the magical nature in the lecture hall. When she’d gotten there, who knew; perhaps it was early enough to be considered an overachiever or maybe it was just on the cusp of being late. Though being late seemed hardly worth much in this class.

After all, it was quite some time since their new professor arrived anyway. Kiara wasn’t even aware the time had passed so quickly until the chatter of other students filled her ears, noting more of them coming through the doorways with expectations to learn. She only gave the common nod or greeting before going back to reading through her texts. At some point there was a pen in her hand as she scribbled some footnotes for herself, assuming she’d grabbed one at some point. Or maybe someone was kind enough to hand her one? Who knew.

What she did know, was that there was a growing commotion just outside the lecture hall’s doors. She paid it no mind; there was always at least one fight on the first day, especially in proximity to Class-C. Even when the world shook momentarily and black smoke billowed out from the folds of the outside, she chalked it off as some poor student abusing their magic already. Her gaze slowly lifted from her texts when the door finally opened and out sprawled a young man; no doubt this was to be their new professor for the infamous Class-C.

Kiara paid him no immediate mind, not until he mentioned his former status as one of the Miracle Seven. That much was enough to catch some light of interest in her gaze, more so than his apparent youthful appearance. Nyx Yuria, huh? Or rather, Professor Nyx, as the man was quick to correct what the blackboard spelled out behind him. Indeed, this was a very interesting figure at the least, one who was waiting for them to begin their roll call as he lazily sat strewn from his new students.

The first to go was a girl named…Sophiel? At least, Kiara was sure that was her name. Once she made her introductions, Kiara waited a moment or two, glancing about to see if anyone else wanted to go next. When it was apparent that the next to go was Ty of all people, she waited patiently for the theatrics to carry on. Indeed, she knew the boy must have had something planned and indeed there it was, bold declaration to the world with a fiery charm about him. It was almost deflating then, that her turn would be more forward and to the point, almost cold. She raised her hand next and said, “Kiara Bastion.” As quickly as it was held, she settled her hand down. After all, the professor had only asked for their names without any sentimentalities attached. Nothing more, nothing less.

In no time, the Umbral Games became the spitting image of chaos unrestraint and anarchy run rampant. Perhaps that was the point as the world burned all around and the city shook with the horrors that infested it. “Kanbaru” for one, was having fun with the situation, shooting up students and cops and buildings alike with bullets that bent the air and punctured reality slightly with each shot. The roar of engines echoed in the city and, very soon, were coupled with the stuttering groans of zombie-like creatures whose minds were eaten away, literally.

Yes, for the streets now shuffled rather than ran with the presence of students whose minds were rendered into the control of a carrion-carrying knight. The robotic cops were affected only minutely though some of Suparna’s maggots managed to chew just the right wiring in their swarm to make them malfunction and go haywire. Evidently, such machinery was nowhere near as advanced as the Machina, and thus many were simply scrapped on the spot instead of becoming infected entirely. Indeed, the wave of slowly growing troops, as effective as they might have been, would have shambled their way to the buildings in doing Suparna’s will, looting whatever they could for the glory of the Pirate Queen.

A good chunk of them blindly stumbled towards the greatest epicenter of wealth in the city, the bank that stood before Akiko and her knight. But even these waves of braindead students and sparking robots paled in comparison to the escalating situation up high. A great booming voice echoed throughout the city and with it, the imagery of a demon that scaled to the highest clouds of darkest night in this villainous floor. The voice called out the ones who wrestled control of Umbral Academy from its rightly deserved, the entire floor shaking beneath the power of its “final boss”. All would be witness to its dark form, as its reach and size could be seen from the bank to the skies as it all but encompassed the view of the airships Rose and Claire resided on.

“Ahahahahaha! Amazing, amazing!” “Kanbaru” didn’t even flinch as the world was turning into a literal hell on earth, some fires even breaking out to join in the painting of madness. This was the most fun she’d seen in a while and to add more to the chaos, she revved her engines up and shot her bike out until it was running right off the side of a building and launched like a missile straight for the bank building. Of course, she was still riding it to witness the calamity she could cause firsthand. Such jovial nature was what blinded her, and probably everyone else, to the small dot that was backdropped to the massive demon in the background.

Called by its rageful summons, the “Student Council President” manifested like a ghost. The same caring smile drawn to his face, he stood upon one of the dark clouds summoned by the Head Mistress; apparently it had some solid qualities to it that were buoyant enough. “You called? Oh, you escaped from your broom closet. I knew you could do it with the right motivation,” said the “Student Council President”. Then he noticed Kanbaru and Caprice, even among the hellish wreckage of the buildings beneath them. Still smiling, he casually waved at both. “Hello again delinquents.”

Anyway I don't expect any more sheets coming in, so the IC is a go tomorrow.

I can’t wait for everyone to post at once in the same room.
Very funny.
We have 13 students now for the unlucky class.
Kiara will be sleeping in the middle of this blood feud.
Assuming these rich kids didn’t bring their own beds.
Kiara doesn't care. Eris' roommates might find razors in their pillows though.
