It certainly felt weird being teleported by the power of magitech. Varo felt off and dizzy for a moment and stumbled forward only to catch himself. Shaking his head to focus and took a moment to adjust before getting a look around. Julian's and Conor's magitech worked to his amazement. He was inside of the police station. Along with the others and they too were off-balance like he was. He should ask Conor more how it works but, later, time to save people and deal with these thieves.

Taking a good look around at the remains of the precinct’s bull pen. Tossed desks, chairs, and paper littered the room. That and the overturned police car that was in the middle of the room. No bodies, so that was a plus, and the sound of shouting humans made it that there were still some police alive. Who knows right now how many are hurt or worse right now. The constant sound of sirens going off did not hide the sounds of gunfire. So there has to be someone fighting the thieves right now, or else what could these thieves be shooting at. Time was of the essence, and as Varo was about to move and try to locate the thieves.

Varo saw that Gabriella was already ahead of him. Looking through a hole in the wall, and was met with a volley of gunfire when he poked her head out. She turned to the group and said about someone to go after the gunman while she went after the big guy. "I got that," and Varo turned to face the others. "Let's see get to work" With that, Varo moved forward toward the hole in the wall. Stacking against it, and took a looked out. It did not take long before Varo spotted the gunman. The gunman sent a volley of gunfire towards Varo.

Knowing where the gunman is, Varo summoned blue stellar energy that formed around his hands and sent a quick volley at the gunman, taking the time to step back. Summoning a shield of stellar energy covered his front, and ran and jumped out of the window to close the distance with the gunman. Now to see how he fares against some enhanced humans.

So this is their first mission, stopping a bank heist that this Booster Gold could not stop. Admittedly Varo is still learning about the heroes of Earth and there sure is a lot of them. But, if Julian knows that Booster Gold is not a weak hero and that the robot could not be damaged easily. Then they got a fight on their hands, and Varo was not sure about the team. Sure they have various powers and abilities but, he still does not really know some of them. Let alone know what they would work together as one. Guess he will see how the team handles and how he handles since this will be his first real fight. Sure he helped his father on his quest but never in a combat role.

As others went to their rooms to get their costumes ready, Varo felt no desire to. Mainly since him having a costume when he is clearly an alien is pointless to him. He does not want to hide the fact he is one so instead of getting a special suit to use. Varo is just going to be in his normal clothes. It might be weird to see but, what is weirder than an alien that uses magic. At least weirder on this world.

As soon as Varo came downstairs did he get his rune stone from Conor. "Hmmm, human magic," he said to himself. Inspecting it as he made his way to his corresponding circle. Standing on top of it and waiting eagerly to see human magic at work. Varo is still new to how and what magic humans use. He has some idea from talking with Conor and Selene but has yet to really get a taste of it. Bound to be very interesting for him though it is a pity that Selene is not coming. She chose to stay behind, missing a chance to see her magic in action but, that is her decision. Still, Conor is coming, so there is that.

Then came Dandelion in a dog form, which was a sight that he was not expecting. The only other alien in the group, and he is some kind of shapeshift of a race Varo does not recognize. It is strange that he has not heard of someone like Dandy during his travels with his father. You would think that Varo would have heard of a race of shapeshifters like Dandy. He has heard of alien shapeshifters before his time in space but, nothing like Dandy. So far, Dandy has kept its distance from him, and he is okay with that. Admittedly, Varo also keeps his distance from Dandy for the reason that he is alien to him, which coming from an alien should mean something. Regardless, it will be a sight to see Dandelion see in action soon and see how these bank robbers deal with an alien like Dandy. Varo cracked his neck in anticipation of the coming fight. It is time to see what this team is made of.

"Sure, a movie sounds good right now," Varo said as he made his way to the couch. Movies, not a foreign concept to the alien Varo. Movies are known to him as vids, and though Varo enjoyed him growing up. Seeing, let alone own one was a rare thing, though. His father's road to redemption took precedence and allowed few luxuries. Just one of the things that Varo grew to get used to. He would have shown his favorite vid to his teammates but, that got destroyed in the crash. Varo mentally sighed at the thought. A lot of his stuff did not survive the crash, and it still feels weird to wear human clothes. Not that he has a choice in the matter, and he would rather not go out without clothes. He does not need to stand out more than he is already.

Still, the Renegades have been making him seem like this place is home for them. Granted, during the first weeks of them, getting used to him was... something. It was odd. Varo is very used to meeting new aliens and traveling to other worlds and finding a race that has never seen an alien before. That was a first, and then came the questions. So many questions, though. Varo is glad that his teammates have been so welcoming to him. Something that made him smile at times, and after the crash and the loss of his father. It is good to have something to look forward to, like watching a movie and relaxing with his teammates.

Making his way to the couch, Varo took a seat on the empty end on the right side. Set in a relaxed stance and asked, "So what movie are we watching?" Asking no one in particular in the group and ready to see what human vids are like.

That went.... well. If well means an awkward silence that only ended with the guy walking away. At least Zargun knows his name now, and Fen seemed fine for the moment. Hopefully, he is not someone that Zargun would hate down the line. Even if it is just for this trial, it will suck if Fen proved to be someone like a bully. Fen being a Faunus was not really an issue. Zargun has no problem with them despite some people that he has seen in Vale. In Vacuo, as long as you can survive in the wasteland, you are welcomed. A popular saying that Zargun remembers to be true while he lived in Vacuo. In Vale, it is a different story, it seems.

As he was thinking about this, some time passed before he snapped to attention. Realizing that Fen was getting farther away and Zargun would say, "Hey, wait up," and ran to get to Fen. After reaching Fen, Zargun broke into a walk and gave a small smile to Fen. Before looking ahead and after some minutes of silence. Zargun tried to make some small talk to pass the time. Zargun spoke. "So Fen.... you ready to be a Huntsman? Zargun's free left hand went nervously behind his head. What the frick should he say? He already spoke, so it is too late unless he changes the topic fast. No, let's see what Fen's says and try to work from there.

The air of Varo's room was coated with the smell of sweet-smelling incense with brightly lit candles set strategically around the room. Giving off just enough light to barely see where Varo was. Sitting cross-legged in the middle of the room and with two incense burners in front of him. Wearing only a pair of pants and breathing in and out calmly and in a meditation stance. The fact that the power was out clearly is not bothering him. Having unintentionally prepared for the event if the power does go out. In fact, the candles were there for his own personal use, which is for his meditation. Something he was taught by his father after he was attuned to Zraa. The meditations were supposed to help keep the connection to Zraa strong but, for Varo. They were a means of relaxation and reflection for him. More so after they crashed on Earth and his father died. Something that Varo still sad about. It is a human saying that time heals all wounds but, Varo, he hopes that is true.

Getting used to Earth and its people has been a... interesting experience. A primitive race that has yet to grace the stars with their presence, and because of that. Not used to seeing aliens like himself. Apparently, the infamous criminal Lobo was the first to visit the world that the humans know of. Not really the best example, and Varo remembered how the humans at the hospital where he was taken to after the crash were nervous about his intentions. The first thing he remembers about that was waking up being in restraints. That was just fun, him being sarcastic about it as he pushed the thought away.

His teammates, for that matter, were..... mixed. Apparently, the idea of him being an alien and a sorcerer is an unheard-of thing for humans. They have magic, and their sorcerers, Conor and Selene being good examples of that. Is it that hard to believe that other races have access to magic as well? Granted, his magic is something unique to Elaians, his father's people. How many magics do you get from a single star? It has certainly a popular topic among his teammates. To both his pleasure and dismay, since some seem to be very curious about it. Like Charity and her followers. It can be truly exhausting to be around her in particular but, at least not all of them are nosey.

Varo continued to meditate until he noticed that the lights had come back on. "So the power is back, eh." Opening his eyes and giving a small smile. "Well, I think I have done enough meditation for tonight." So Varo got up and went to put out the candles. One by one before putting his incense away. It might note the ideal incense, and he misses his old ones but, this human incense is better than nothing. Having done that, Varo went to his closet and put on a black t-shirt. Then leaving his room and headed to the kitchen. Overhearing something about watching a movie and posed a question to the group. "A movie, we are going to see a movie?

Varo was never meant to live on Earth. The son of an exile whose crimes he is somewhat aware of and knows that his father regrets it immensely. An absent mother who he was taught never to trust if she ever shows her face. Varo and his father would have gone on their endless journey through the galaxy had their ship not been damaged by a group of pirates and forced to crash land on Earth. Landing on the outskirts of Central City. Varo was founded by the Flash in the wreckage and taken to a hospital.

There after waking up, he learned that his father had died during the crash, and he was all alone in a foreign world. Varo, after grieving for his father, was unsure of how to proceed. Not knowing of any other family he had and with only distant hints of where he was born. Varo ultimately decided to stay on Earth, at least for the time being. To get his thoughts together and figure out his next move.

While he tried to understand human culture and at times is still clueless about it. He could not help to think about the evil in it and the courageous actions of its guardians, the Justice League. It made him remember his father's path of atonement by helping whoever he can while traveling the galaxy. Watching his father be a hero and would even help when he was old enough. Even was taught by his father the way of magic that he used to help people. Varo thought long and hard before coming to a conclusion. With no home and a desire to honor his father's legacy. But not wanting to make the same mistakes that his father did. Varo decided on helping this world though he was not sure he would fit in with the Justice League or the Teen Titans. Wanting to have more freedom with how he helps people and Varo would find out about the Renegades and Julian. From there, the rest was history.

A B I L I T I E S:

Stellar Magic - Varo's magic is tied to the star Zraa, the home star of his father's people. After undergoing a ritual to tie himself to the star's power. It granted Varo the ability to use its magic and can perform steller-based abilities. Such as sending out steller energy as projectiles, empower his physical attacks with steller magic, or call down steller blasts from above and more. As long as his connection to Zraa is secure. If Varo's connection to Zraa is disputed, it can weaken Varo's magic or disable it entirely.

Alien Physiology - Due to his alien origin, Varo both has enhanced strength and enhanced durability. Making him naturally stronger and more durable just above anything a normal human can do. This can be increased when Varo uses his magic to empower himself.

Pilot - Years of traveling the stars with only his father have led to Varo acquiring certain skills such as knowing how to fly a ship. Though he is still learning how to pilot human ships/aircraft. He will get it in time.

Mechanic - Along with piloting, Varo has learned over time to repair spaceships and maintained them. Though he is good at repairing alien ships, human-made craft he is having trouble with learning, but, he is sure he can learn in time,

Varo is someone that is finding their place in the universe and not wanting to make the same mistakes as his father. Always traveling with a father that is on the road of atonement. Varo never got a chance to be with a proper family and has nowhere that he can actually call home. A family and home that he might call Earth and the Renegades his family. Which might be tested if his mother shows up tries to convince him to leave with her. Also, honoring his father's legacy of helping people after watching for years of his father helping people. That and I like the idea of an alien magic user.

C H A R A C T E R N O T E S:

While he is an alien, Varo is actually a hybrid of two alien races. His father an Elaian and his mother a Sestrin.

Despite what his father says about his mother, he has an urge to meet her. To see for himself who his mother really is. Even if things go south.

Though he respects his father for trying to atone for his crimes. Varo still can't forget what his father did for the Greater Good and he will not admit it easily. He wants to be better than his father and maybe even be greater than him as a hero.

Has a pair of gauntlets that he was gifted from his father to help channel his magic and were used in the ritual to connect himself to Zraa.
