I literally grew up with Chinese mythology, later on I dived into Japanese mythology because of the many similarities it shares with the Chinese, but I can't seem to find anyone here who feels comfortable doing Asian mythology in RP; only 2 partners I have so far are open to my concept of trying something where the West meets the Oriental. Most that I encountered feel better sticking to West, which on the contrary I'm not that well-versed with - through personal reading and research I have a better understanding, albeit still nowhere knowledgeable as those who grew up with Western mythologies.

Better known by the name of Tsu. An "advanced" roleplayer with at least five years of experience on/off. In real life, he is a college student studying in Asia, majoring in design-related fields. Outside of this site, he's also a hopeless poet and an indie writer currently working on his first book (as and when he has the time and inspirations to write something). When I say Japanese games I mean the original version completely in Japanese dub and sub for sale within Japan only, not the localized version they release for international market.
My gaming friend did test this out and it really didn't work, yeah.
I can understand if some of them feel pressurized by the posting length rule, but disguising multiple one-liners into a meaty, senseless paragraph isn't the right way.
No worries. We can always go back and add on to the sheets as the IC progresses.

The region lock only applies to Japanese games - you can't play them on an international DS console. I dunno, I think it has something to do with their laws especially with regards to voice-actors.

Wow, the kind of multiverse I had in mind was completely different from what I'm seeing here - it's not much of a problem once I get the gist of everything.
Though being sleep-deprived and then trying to read @malmshodes starter IC is a bad idea.
"Hub ZZX97" can be something like a crossroad leading to the other universes beyond, unknown to our characters until they jumped into any one of them.
(Why am I repeating myself lol)
I'm not so certain about going in with a powerset, but some sort of intelligence-storage device that can help initiate dimension-traveling is something worth going for.
For me, instead of going with preset power, I think the device can have something that allows the characters to be able to learn and utilize different powers from each of the worlds they arrive in. Like, in each of these worlds they have their own set of rules with regards to the abilities unique to them.
EDIT: ...Or I'm probably not making any sense here. Feeling cranky when insomnia kicks in...
