Slowly -- but surely -- coming back from a long hiatus.
Better known by the name of Tsu. An "advanced" roleplayer with at least five years of experience on/off. In real life, he is a college student studying in Asia, majoring in design-related fields. Outside of this site, he's also a hopeless poet and an indie writer currently working on his first book (as and when he has the time and inspirations to write something). He is also active in the Harry Potter fandom through participating in fanfic competitions/challenges and building connections with gift fics.
INTP; a Pottermore-certified Slytherin but identifies himself as a Slytherclaw who is both witty and ambitious. Considers himself a Denpa Otaku -- a fan of animanga, visual novels and JRPGs, and he's as opinionated about what he likes and dislikes as every other fan out there.

Haha XD Just saying this again for peeps who don't know about our chat convo - I'm not employing reservation or first come-first serve systems to be fair to all players to take up the roles they want. If there's no competition s/he is all yours; if 2 or more players apply for the same character, the GMs will make the final judgment.
For those of you who are familiar with sandbox-style roleplays, and those who have seen how awesome those Marvel/DC-based and -inspired RPs have taken off in the Advanced board - well, I think you should be able to tell where I'm getting at.
(I mean, I already spelled that out in the title of this thread. If that isn't obvious you must be blind.)
Ahem, anyway.
Just in case any of the FF fans who chill out here more (and avoid the Advanced section like a plague for /some/ reasons), I'm putting this out here and hopefully pique your interest in this RP idea I'm presenting you. Don't be scared by the 'advanced' tag - it is, to be exact, high-casual to advanced.
Unlike most linear RPs with all the frustrating wait for someone to put up something so that you can continue, this RP will be at your own pace, own time - in short, it's more of an interactive multi-author aka collaborative fanfiction RP where you will be given the opportunity to build your own miniworld within the omniverse, create and expand your own character arcs. Shape the kind of fantasy you desire.

Nagisa blinked - she wasn't expecting such a reaction from someone who could be her potential partner. Her eyes traveled from the reddening face of the young man to the rifle she was poking him with and blinked once more. After a minute of awkward silence, she finally lowered her gun and brought it closer to her chest, not quite ready to put it away yet. Taking a step back to create more space between herself and the guy before her, she repeated in the same soft, flat voice, "Are you my Ashikabi?" She unconsciously tightened her grip around the trigger guard.
Was this how a first meeting with her fated soulmate suppose to be like?

All Yuki Kaguya wanted right now was to collapse onto a bed to soothe her aching body.
The flight from Sapporo to Fukuoka wasn't particularly long - a mere two and a half hour - but the landing delay due to runway congestion had her cramped in the plane for another two hours, which pretty much drained most of her energy from the frustration. She rubbed her forehead gingerly. The hearing wasn't as bad as she had feared - on the contrary, she was secretly pleased with this arrangement. She was getting sick of cooping up in the cold, blank walls of the facility, plagued by horrifying screams that echoed throughout the building from somewhere deep below, an area where low-rank staff like her could never step foot into without getting an immediate headshot from the stoic guards.
The sun was almost setting, but the soft heat of the air outside caressed her pale skin with a warm pinch - here, she felt truly alive. She took out the smartphone from her pocket and glanced at the address on the screen. Perhaps this was too good to be true - they probably did this on purpose to give her a false sense of freedom. There should be an agent sent to watch her from the shadows.
She closed her eyes and swallowed, forcing down the urge to turn her head and look around for the said stalker. Then she walked out of the sliding glass doors of the airport to hail a cab, to take her to her new 'home'.
She had no idea that something else was also waiting for her arrival at the place she's heading to...

But it's going to take me quite a while to get through the entire Verthaven saga from the top. (It's so intense that I dare not skim and will require me to sit down to read everything, word for word.)
@tsukune, wow, I had absolutely no idea that God Eater was a video game! Other than that, I'm relieved to see someone else agree with me on the great SAO fandom. I'll definitely look into Log Horizon. Thank you! I'll comment once I have had the time to see the first episode.
S'ok - not many people outside of Japan know of this game series. (Thank goodness I can understand enough Japanese to play them.)
As for SAO - the author's other work, Accel World, is a tad better, but the pacing would really make you want to smash the screen into the character's face sometimes.
For Log Horizon, don't say I didn't warn you that it's a slow anime plagued by fanservice on top of its rather interesting premise.
@Engel, I'm truly willing to try out almost anything so your favorite anime will be in my radar. I also like your list very much! There are some good ones in there I already plan to see like Ghost in the Shell, Ergo Proxy, and Steins;Gate.
GitS is good. Out of the whole franchise I highly recommend Stand Alone Complex.
@Royzooka, oooh, a mecha fan! This comes to show that I truly need to get into the Gundam series. Aside from Gundam, I tried out Sailor Moon (the original) and loved it! I can't wait until Sailor V comes up since she's my favorite. I saw Crystal, the remake, awhile ago and... it was just bad. I did not like it one bit. I've seen some manga books of Tiger and Bunny which I will look into very soon.
Mecha fan spotted. *shifty* Besides Gundam, if you like nice soundtracks you can also try Macross. Other than the more well-known titles like NGE and Code Geass, some other mecha anime you can consider include Rinne no Lagrange, Buddy Complex, Kakumeiki Valvrave, Soukyuu no Fafner. (There are loads more, but these are the few that came to my mind for now.)
As for magical girl genre, I'm pretty sure any hardcore anime fan would have heard of the controversial Madoka Magica. You can also give Lyrical Nanoha a shot (to use crude analogy imagine a Gundam-Mahou Shoujo fusion). Since you mention you like the classical Sailor Moon series a lot, I'm sure you will like Cardcaptor Sakura.
For those into sports animanga, you can try Haikyuu!!, which is centered around boys' volleyball.
(And then I don't feel all that sorry at the thought of Raven transporting BB through her dark portal - makes me recall how he always call Raven creepy in the cartoon.)
