@Lalliman I don't think anyone isn't guilty of this. No matter how experienced or noob we are in the world and art of role-playing, most of us would, at some point, probably had the urge to create such a character... or even made such a character, whether we were aware of the act or not.

The bottom line is: who doesn't want to win? Who likes to lose?

And, as the saying goes: "Rules are meant to be broken."

Don't misunderstand my point. I'm trying to say that finding loopholes may be a tendency for some people, but everyone in the roleplay - both GM and the players - should communicate with each other to ensure a certain level of fairness among all playable characters submitted for the game that everyone can agree upon/come to a compromise of sorts. I don't think we can fully avoid such problems from arising in RPs where superpowers and/or magic are involved, so it's really down to the GM - and the players in the game - to sort this out among themselves.

Totally missed your discussion because I was having a dreaded class...

Anyway, I can relate to you regarding lack of or low in motivation when it comes to writing. I get writer's block often, largely due to my inability to really sit down and concentrate for too long. My mind always hop from one idea to another, so in the end I'd end up with so many ideas but all hanging in the middle of nowhere with no idea how I'm going to finish or complete the story, lol.

One way for me to curb this problem is through gathering prompts from observing the things and people around me. This method works for me because I'm more of a spontaneous type of person rather than planning everything down beforehand and stick to the plan down to the last letter. Don't control motivation, because you just can't - let your mind drift and inspirations might just come naturally to your doorstep. :)

Sometimes if I need to get the motivation, I'll listen to music, or put on a game/anime, or read a manga. I'll try to just immerse myself in something that puts me into the write mind state for the type of writing I need to do. Have you ever tried doing something like that? I know it doesn't work for everyone.

This is another method I'd use to motivate me to write stuff; however, for music I am very particular (I have a very strict taste with music due to my background playing in a military/symphonic band in the past), that I only listen to non-vocal tracks. Vocals are quite distracting and sometimes they tend to annoy rather than motivate me.

I've checked, and 'role-play' is the correct spelling. I guess it's something like spelling terms such as 'absent-minded' vs. 'absentminded', etc.

@Shoryu Magami I feel like a reading exercise or challenge here. Well, I rarely see anyone spelling out huge numbers so I need a bit of time to figure out what's the next number, but now I'm getting used to it. A good practice from you, heh.

Fandoms You Like/Dislike

@Shoryu Magami Well, I think you can tell that my opinion towards fandoms is actually neither here nor there - more towards a specific group of people than the fandom as a whole, because like you've said within a community you're bound to meet some who are decent, and some are just... annoyingly mindless followers with no life or dreams of their own.

I need to clarify that while I have numerous franchises and titles that I like, I'm definitely nowhere near the obsessive fan level, and I don't defend them without good reasoning or evidence to back up. I have respect for these works simply because they gave me inspirations in my own projects, but it doesn't mean I worship them blindly and don't analyze their worth in an objective manner.

I don't want to hate fandoms - because that would make me hate everybody in this world. But some fandoms just love to put themselves on my hate list. Oh well.

Another tip to make your text even smaller: instead of wrapping just one [sub][/sub] tag, double it instead!

@Shoryu Magami One way is to simplify the coding and minimize unnecessary repetition. One, to reduce error and confusion; two, there's a character limit, and like you've said you have quite a number of stuff you want to squeeze in.
