Izumi

Izumi quickly summed up the three soldiers, knowing this fight wouldn't be terribly difficult to come out on top - the two men on either end were fairly small in stature, leaving the one in the center as any kind of difficulty to take down hand-to-hand. Well, the girl proposed, let's try and keep things civil.

A few drops of water fell from the heavens, signalling the coming of another rain. A small ripple in the water from behind drew the soldier boy's attention away from the road and he turned his head, letting his comrades pull on a little bit further. A great force against his chin thrust his head backwards, knocking him from his feet. A shadow spread across his face and was above him in an instant. Izumi pushed her feet against the soldier's stomach, lifting herself off of him and further into the air while shoving him into the ground. She landed, with a bit of grace, just behind the soldier on the left of the larger warrior and leaned into him, shoving him forward as she kicked up again, her hands now beneath her. Izumi put her hands around the great warrior's neck and pulled, tumbling him forward and on top of the soldier she had leaned against. She brought her legs forward again, landing one foot on the ground and the other on the out-stretched hand of the soldier.

Izumi turned around to the scene of the three soldiers stretched out on the road and pitied them a bit - if it had been a ninja who had no remorse for these enlisted men, their bodies would be spread across the rice fields by now. Izumi lifted her left foot off the the soldier's hand and jumped back - the larger warrior had lept to his feet and grasped for his blade, decreasing Izumi's odds of getting out of here without a scratch. Izumi put her right hand behind her, gracing the tips of her fingers against the hilt of her wakizashi, and crouched down, signalling for the warrior to charge with her free hand. The brute of a man let out a cry of anger and raised his sword above him, swinging down as he came upon the girl. Izumi lept forward and dove, putting all of her momentum into her shoulder which was now shoved into the man's chest. The warrior let out a wheeze and fell, just as Izumi ducked and rolled away from the two smaller soldiers, who had risen and began brandishing their swords.

Awesome, this'll work out well. Izumi dashed toward the soldier in the middle, but the man swung his leg forward, kicking Izumi away and across the road. The other soldier readied his blade and sprinted in her direction. Wait for it... Now! Izumi kicked off of the ground and forced her elbow into the soldier's crotch, doubling him over and sending him to the ground gagging.

"One down," Izumi let the words escape as she forced air from her lungs, jumping away as the bigger guy returned, swiping his blade across the air where the kunoichi once stood. The other soldier pounced as Izumi landed, forcing his helmed head into the girl's stomach. Izumi felt her breath knocked out and she tumbled back, just as a fierce wind swept against her face. She heard a cry from the soldier and looked up - Kuro had dove from above, dragging his metal claws beneath him and across the back of the man's neck. I owe you for that one, buddy. Izumi clambered up to her feet, keeping her eyes on the large soldier who stood before her, anger and fear painting his eyes.

Izumi let out a small breath, focusing her chi toward the balls of her feet. She kicked off of the ground, leaving small pockets in the earth where she had stood. Within the blink of an eye she was above him, turning her body mid-air so that her feet were aimed at his head, and came down hard. She thrust her feet into his forehead, knocking the large soldier to the ground. She leaned down and opened one of his eyelids - yep, this sucker was out cold. She glanced back at the other two soldiers, both of which were writhing at the pain they were in. Izumi smirked and ran, thankful that it didn't have to get any messier than it already was.

A short distance later, Izumi looked around - the only things in her view were the continuous rolling fields of rice on both sides of her, and a farm a short distance down the road. Satoi had told her to meet up around here, and to signal for him when she arrived. Kuro came and rested upon Izumi's shoulder, silently staring into the girl's eyes. Izumi gazed back, talking to the bird in a language only the two of them could understand. Suddenly, the night heron was off and into the air far above, shining his metal talons for Satoi to recognize.

"Hah, I think I'll take a nap when we get where we need to go!" Izumi began walking toward the farm in the distance, hoping for somewhere she could dry off and hide from the rain that was now starting to fall more steadily from above.

Assignment: Infiltrate orphanage - Interacting with @Fantasychic@Wick

After dealing with his bladder, the white-haired child merrily skipped back into the meeting room, overflowing with joy that he was included in his first ever official mission. R0se knelt down, looking the boy in the eyes and spoke of the work ahead of them.

"I am not about to have you placed in danger. Ok?" The woman's smile warmed Willard, knowing that she wanted to look out for him in case there was any trouble. He watched as her color shifted to a soft and pleasant hue, but there was still a sharpness to it, as if she still was worried about what they were getting into.

"Don't worry Ms. Rose, I'm not worried 'bout nothin' gettin' me!" Willard smiled, meeting her gaze with soft eyes. "I got you 'n Mr. Darric 'n Mr. Tamashi all helping, so I'll be fine!" His words left his mouth with firm assurance, yet still playfully. Willard turned and saw Mr. Darric enter, his color warming the surrounding air, but Willard couldn't help but notice the small bit of green that tinted the sides, off-putting the otherwise positive expression on Mr. Darric's face.

After Mr. Darric reassured R0se of Willard's safety, Willard's mind somehow wandered away from everything going on around him, far away, to something that the boy hadn't remembered in a very long time.

"Begin log... Subject oh-four seven three, temperamental manipulation management operation. Currently the subject in under heavy anesthetic - if everything goes accordingly, and if what Dr. Jenson said is right, the latest model of electro-nervous transmitters will be able to pacify heavy influxes of emotional nueral activity, and even eliminate the... Negative impulses that are cast by the subject. Further data will be recorded post-op."
"You really think this will work right, doc? I mean, what Werner said--"
"I have absolute faith in Dr. Jenson, Veronica. I wouldn't be doing this to... To my son if I knew it would only hurt him. I may be a scientist trapped in my lab for years on end, but I still have my humanity."
"I... I guess you're right. It just seems like such a far leap for the kid - and how will we know he'll be able to handle it?"
"We've had Werner and his associates working on this thing for several years now. He's analyzed all of the readings Will produced from minor emotional impulses to some of his highest... And most dangerous. All of the data from the transmitters will correspond and counteract any high levels of temperamental disorder that the boy puts off on another individual. Now then... I figure we should get this under way before he wakes up."

It's so dark...

... Mommy?

"Vince, what the hell??"*SLAM* - click, click-- *SMASH*
For fuck's - Sara, what in God's name??"
"Don't give me that! There is still a child here, dammit, you can't just risk this sort of operation!"
"Son of-- Guards, get her out of here-- Now!"
*THUMP-- CRASH*
"How could you do this to your own son!?" *SLAM*

"... Check neural impulses - Make sure the boy is still under."
"Y--... Yes, doctor..."

... Daddy...?
"Breathing and heart rate both increased; supplying adequate anesthetics to prevent waking..."

Eh-- Ow...

"... I... I guess I'll start the procedure... Grab the... And..."

Willard found himself in his bed, leaning up against the wall. He looked around - everything seemed to be in place. He walked out from the curtain that blocked the room and peered around the room. Everyone who was there before still remained, and didn't seem at all too concerned about his absense.

"I guess I fell asleep," he muttered to himself before skipping over to where Mr. Darric and R0se stood waiting for the mission.

Geoffrey looked over as the purple-haired woman approached his vantage point, propping herself up on the barrel beside him and began cleaning and trimming her nails with the blade, addressing him with a bit of a smirk as she did so. He thought for a brief moment before responding, unsure of how to go about communicating with her - also taking note of a couple soldiers from both sides that kept looking over with a bit of fear and intrigue.

"Lieutenant Geoffrey - and you are Ms. Lahav, I presume?" He spoke calmly, extending his right hand to her as greeting, the sleeve sliding down, showing the end of the intricately detailed print of ink on his arm.

"You presume correctly! But just call me Kehah." She grinned, giving his hand one firm shake, but keeping her grip. She twisted her arm, causing his to turn over as well, giving her a good look at his tattoos. "Interesting tribals. They're western forest in origin, correct?"

Geoffrey blinked once - he hadn't even noticed his sleeve slide down his arm until Kehah was already twisting it around, only causing the sleeve to move further, revealing more of the gray patterns that bled into actual depictions of animals, people, and flora. He quickly gathered himself, not used to people finding an interest in these more tribal traditions, especially with how quickly they were fading away.

"E-eh, yeah, from my home village - borders the forest. Woods so thick you can't even slip between the trunks if you grow up to be a big guy. This is just the picture of my heritage - I don't have my own ink yet - too young to get my story written," Geoffrey realized he was still holding the woman's hand and flushed a bit, letting go of her and rolling his sleeve back up. "Heh, sorry - not many people still find these kinds of things interesting."

Kehah's smirk returned full force as Geoffrey stammered his explanation, blush firmly on his face as he pulled his hand away. she held her hand out in front of her, examining her nails before going back to work on them with her knife. The tattoos on the lieutenant were reminding her of Maar'von. The man had helped the most in training her in blades once the mercenaries had taken her in. She tilted her head in the lieutenant's direction once more, eyes remaining on her knife.

"I had a...tutor, that grew up very far west; he may have even been in your village for all I know. He has very similar tattoos, though his life is inked onto his other arm, as well as his chest," She huffed out a laugh. "He has a long life story for a man not even 45 years of age."

Geoffrey smiled, remembering a few of the men that had left his village when he was young to go out on long journeys. A few of them he actually missed - one being his uncle who he hadn't seen in a long time. Now he couldn't help but feel a bit of longing for his home, with such large gray walls surrounding him and the tension that continued to build deep in his stomach.

"It wouldn't surprise me - the western forests are brimming with secrets and stories just waiting to be told. I knew quite a few men from my village that have left when they entered adulthood. It's a part of the tradition, I suppose - I left just barely a year ago, myself, and here I am!" He lifted his arms up, jokingly displaying the scene that they were a part of.

Geoffrey let his arms slump back down and he chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I'm sure this tattoo will be an interesting one for me, supposing I get out of here alive." He glanced back up at the woman, wondering how she felt about the castle and just what they were up against.

Kehah's sharp eyes snapped to the boy at his last statement, a resolve forming in her. "You'll make it out," She assured, eyes cold. "If anything, you'll be one of the only ones left alive after this ordeal." The knife was then tucked away in her pocket, leather gloves returned to their places on her hands. She hopped off the barrel and stared across the courtyard, eyes on the fat man and servant girl pacing the ground, nose in a book.

"He'll be easier," She began simply. "Too slow to run away, and weighed down by both ego and worldly possessions. The girl though..." a small frown joined her intense gaze, staring a the girl's methodical movements. "She may not seem like much, but those eyes are intelligent, diligent. She seems the type to both help and protect her master; for all we know, she'd be the type to jump in the way of a blade or arrow sent towards him. But, given her perceived status, going after her won't do much to their morale or organization." She huffed, crossing her arms and turning her head so that the other side didn't catch her staring too long. "Actually, most of the noble's are pointless to go after for anything besides practice targets. It's the soldiers we need to worry about..."
