Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Mihama Nanako

To be honest, she felt a little guilty.

She hadn't gone to class today. She'd claimed she was sick, and given she hadn't taken a sick day before now they'd believed her. But the truth was something completely different.

The truth was that Mihama Nanako had a plan. Unfortunately, that plan had to unfold today, of all days. There wasn't really any way to get around it, she had to target the time of the month, the time of day, when her power as a magus was at its peak. That happened to be during the school day, today. So she didn't really have any choice.

She couldn't really lie to herself and claim she wasn't nervous. The last time she'd attempted something like this... well... she didn't really like to think about it. But now, things were going to be different. She was going to summon a Servant! Nanako could barely contain her excitement at the prospect. She was really going to summon someone... she'd been trying to obtain a catalyst, but that was easier said then done. Nanako supposed that finding an ancient artifact tied to a specific heroic spirit was going to be pretty difficult, after all.

Most of the day until now had been spent cleaning her apartment. It hadn't exactly been easy, not because her apartment was messy(it wasn't! It really wasn't!) but because locating a position to place the circle was kind of difficult. There wasn't a ton of room where she lived, and on top of that it wasn't really possible to make a circle on carpet. So she'd ended up settling for doing it in the kitchen. It was a little on the cramped side, she'd probably end up apologizing to whoever it was she managed to summon...

But Nanako was still really excited! This time she was more prepared. Having to use chicken blood was a little gross, but for rituals like this some kind of sacrifice was usually required. If you couldn't fill it in with mana, you had to use something else. And Nanako was hardly a fountain of mana. She was sure she could sustain a Servant, but she didn't really have the means to fill out the ritual like that.

And so chicken blood it was! As gross as it was to work with, spilling it all over her kitchen floor, onto the circle.

Aaah... what historical figure would she summon? What were they going to be like!? Nanako had looked at other students at her school, those who had successfully summoned Servants already, and couldn't help but want the same kind of relationship. So she was going to make friends with whoever it was she summoned, no matter what!

... Well, maybe not if it was something like that creepy evil Caster that had to be taken out a month ago... She'd go right to the authorities if she got someone like that. But otherwise...

She was going to make friends with them!

Nanako tried to calm herself, however. She had to get this right. She had to take it seriously. Even though her heart was pounding in her chest, it was time.

The brunette took a deep breath. She'd practiced the chant every night, just in case.

"Silver and iron to the origin..."

She could already feel the mana flowing through her body.

Nanako was certain...

This time she'd succeed!

@PKMNB0Y
@Cu Chulainn: I'd like to know more about this before giving it an okay.
Hmm, Arturia still needs to be paired...

And I'd like to talk to @KoL about what to do with Seria, and wait for @RoleplayerRoxas for Beni...

So let's get a Nanako post going first.
@13org: In the future, wait for public acceptance before sticking a bio in the characters tab. ^^;

But accepted.
@1Charak2: Yeah, I thought Crowley would make a really good fit for Foreigner. And as a plus, she's actually pretty decent at being one of Fusang's administrators!
So as a disclaimer, this isn't going to be a fifth character obviously. Just figured I'd give you a taste of one of the Servants taking part in the city's administration:

  • Name: Aleister Crowley
  • Class: Foreigner
  • Appearance: "Entranced? How amusing..." Normally dressed in a rather more chaste red dress, Foreigner possesses extremely pale skin, nearly white, pale blue hair, and red eyes.
  • Personality: Foreigner is a sarcastic individual. She is very fond of mocking others and needling them for the sake of getting their reaction, the type of person who will cheerfully cause mischief for the sake of causing mischief. She greatly enjoys harassing others, and will even flirt specifically to make other people feel awkward about having someone who looks like her flirt with them. If they respond at all positively, her teasing gets even worse. In spite of this playful and taunting demeanor, Foreigner is a highly intelligent person well-equipped to the running of a large organization or the administration of a city. Indeed, she appears to put her all into this purpose, championing the advancement of the city and taking pride in it as if it were her own personal project. She is highly cooperative with the other administrators, especially given this allows her to pursue pet projects around the city, such as the construction of a space elevator or additional processing power being added to the city's artificial intelligence.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: E
    • Endurance: E
    • Agility: B
    • Mana: A
    • Luck: B
    • Noble Phantasm: A+
  • Class Skills:
    • Existence Outside the Domain: EX. A skill that denotes one's nature as one who has made contact with an existence from beyond this reality.
    • Divinity: B
  • Personal Skills:
    • Natural Body(Strange): C. A perfect divine body gained via transformation. While she was not born in this form, her body became like this due to the process of obtaining a position close to her god. However, while her appearance is that of a child, the razor-sharp teeth in her mouth certainly are not...
    • Unicursal Hexagram: A+++. A skill unique to Foreigner that cannot be replicated. Embodying her beliefs in life and the very fabric of her own existence, the interweaving petals of the hexagram unite both microcosmic and macrocosmic forces, allowing for the rapid regeneration of mana and other random beneficial effects. Perhaps this reaches beyond our universe...
    • Black Goat of the Woods: EX. The birthing of monstrosities. The generation of abominations. A skill denoting the capacity to generate monsters, gained through contact with something beyond. For Foreigner's purposes, however, it is sealed and operates as a D-rank process of generating unusual familiars rather then truly gestating monsters. She has no desire to birth abominations.
  • Noble Phantasm(s):
    • Name: ???
    • Rank: ???
    • Type: ???
    • Appearance: ???
    • Effects: ???

    • Name: ???

    • Type: ???
    • Appearance: ???

  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Changes: Before death, Aleister Crowley became an existence close to his God, Babalon. Through doing so, he was transformed, and made contact with the origin of the god. It is likely this is what lead to her death, eventually, but regardless that power has allowed her to be summoned as a Foreigner-class Servant.
@Dblade26: Accepted.

@Cu Chulainn: Well, no problem with that! More Riders are definitely welcome.
@1Charak2: Excalibur's the second strongest weapon in the setting(albeit sealed right now) that is strong enough to ignore magical defenses in general. ^^; It'd probably nuke enough of the fortress to make it crash and turn into a cool setting for a fight scene, if it didn't take out the whole thing in one shot.

That being said, I'd rather not get too into a drawn out power level conversation here right now. ^^;
@Doom Lord: Going to have to give a flat denial on this one. Lucifer absolutely isn't acceptable under any circumstances.
@Doom Lord: OCs are allowed, both Masters and Servants.
