Kat got there on Day one like Nikki, Matt and Jenna and Felix. So it's been only a few days.

Nikki had heard James and had started to move when she heard him pulling the door shut. Nikki was on her feet the instant she heard Kat screaming. She barreled out the door of her room wearing jeans, a tank top and no shoes. To the average person she wasn't all that threatening looking. Standing at 5'6 she was pretty average and petite for her height. She looked at the three men, one was covered in baby powder. One was carrying a crowbar and the other just had a pipe of some sort.

The One with the crowbar laughed at Nikki and started making lewd comments. "Hey little girl I can show you a really good time."

Nikki smiled and said, "I don't think so. I don't think you are man enough." Nikki grinned at his anger and when he lifted the crowbar to hit her with it. She kicked his elbow causing him to lose his grip and it fell to the ground. That was when he pulled out a gun. Nikki shoved her palm into his nose and kicked the gun towards Kat and pulled the crowbar up off of the floor just in time to hit him in the head so hard that it broke his neck. He fell on the ground limply.

The second and third guys attacked her and she went into a spinning back kick and she cartwheeled grabbing the pipe he dropped and this time she hit the guy in the ribs. She heard the crack of his bones and he begged her not to kill him while his powdered friend was screaming because she blinded him with a defensive shot to the eyes. About that time the dead guy started to come back and Nikki planted the pipe in his head hard. She could hear the creeped out utterings of those around her. She picked up the walkie that Kat had had to reach Matt with. "Matt? You better get in here. I've got a body for you and two others that need to be shown the door."

Nikki hugged Kat and gave Gracie a big kiss and a hug. She slid her out of her mom's arms a moment. The guy with the cracked ribs thought that while she was holding the baby would be a good time to get her while she was distracted. Nikki was holding Grace on her left hip and she raised her right foot kicking him in the neck. "crowbar". Someone handed her the crowbar and she cooed to Grace so she would watch her face and not the man as she slammed it into his head. "Matt, bring Zach."

She looked at James and asked him. "Can you watch this guy for a minute. Matt will be here in a sec. Thanks."

Shiver went into the office and looked around. Tia had been making subtle changes for a while and now Shiver understood. There was a second desk and they were literally butted up against each other and from the doorway they were sideways so that both parts were equal. The back of the room which used to have a wall that was now taken down was where the assistant and the fax machines, copier and other office equipment were. She was situated pretty well back there. Shiver chose her desk and made it hers. She noticed that Tia had put a new sign on the door. It said Shiver and Omega Team leaders.

She was unsure how she felt about being in charge let alone sharing the job with Omega. They hadn't gotten back to a good place since that thing with Jess. She still felt the sting of rejection sometimes when she was around him and she didn't like that. So now she was forced to deal with him daily. She rested her head on her arms. It had been a rough day for her. That concussion had been scary and she had never had a seizure before. She just felt worn out. She heard Omega over the comlink and she smiled. She could tell he was happy for possibly the first time in a long time. That made her feel a little better. Thinking about her late night with Cal out by the pool made her smile. She had really missed him. Shiver got up and went and changed. She headed out with most of the others for lunch with Omega.

Tia in the mean time was taking calls from military researchers asking about various things for future reference. Tia was positive that this was not over yet. It was just being taken off of the plate for today.

"Don't look at me. I have enough trouble wrangling you and Shiver. Now you guys are getting a little payback. I was too kind to do what Wicked suggested which was to lock you in prison cells next to each other and let you drive each other nuts..." She stops and smiles. "Oh wait, I did just do that didn't I? As far as making the team respect you. You gotta earn it." Tia looked down and her assistant called her via comlink. "I just got a call from General Schwartzkopf. They are standing down." Tia stayed where she was and took a deep breath as they all heard that news. She smiled and looked at Miles.

She remembered their last interaction and she closed her eyes for a moment. "I'm sorry I snapped at you. I shouldn't have done that." She watched as the military helicopters and other vehicles left.

Shiver looks at Cal and sees he isn't there. 'uh oh that can't be good.' Shiver looks down and sees Cal running around moving people. "Uh, Tia?" She gestured and Tia's expression changed. "You are his superior officer, fix it!" "Shit! Cal! Get back up here. You are not authorized to do anything down there." "What is he doing?" Tia asked her. "He is ignoring me." "Yeah, Karma's a bitch isn't she?" Shiver frowned and teleported down to Cal.

"Sorry military people. He is not authorized to do whatever he said he would do." Shiver teleported him back up onto the roof. As soon as she got him back onto the roof she pulled him aside. "Cal, what were you doing? Tia has to handle this and we have to wait to see what the response is. If we all just go do whatever we want to we don't look organized and intelligent we look like fools." She realized she was actually quoting Tia to her boyfriend and covered her mouth. "Oh crap, now I sound like Tia." "Oh damn her!" She leaned forward and whispered into his ear. "Please just stay here with me. I would lose my mind if something happened to you."

Tia looked at Omega and the relief washed over her. At least they were all together again. "Finally, took you long enough." She looked at Shiver and said "Well that's just it, I don't have a boss anymore. I am the head of the Agency, have been ever since Wicked Flame died. Now before you go freaking out like you normally do. Shiver has some news for you."

Shiver looked up at Omega and said, "She made you and I co-leaders/captains of the RMS Conspiracy HQ. Now if we can keep her from sinking...and we still report to her...." Tia continued "And I have a tie breaker solution. You each get 49% of the power in case of a tie that can't be settled Enyo gets the tie breaker decision of 2 %." Enyo looked at them and laughed.

"As far as the military the ball is in their court. Whether or not you have an HQ to lead is up to them at the moment. By the way Omega, they are using bullets made out of that alloy that the handcuffs are make out of. They are meta killing bullets because they negate all of your powers, even strength and healing."
