Hunter smirked as Amaya recovered and countered and blocked her strikes, eventually spotting an opening and launching another Jade covered fist towards her gut and followed it up with a sweeping kick to buy himself some room. He took a moment to appraise himself and found he had a couple of burning cuts along each arm and grinned, thickening up his jade armor before launching a Jade Spear at her again, racing to the left and closing again with a Jade Claw attack followed up but a Crushing Talon.

James hm's thoughtfully, then shakes his head. "Leather isn't quite as sturdy as you think. Let's try some light mail first." He leads the way over to an armorer and starts looking over the various types of chainmail with Cody.

The Firebrand Trigger is what all the people who joined the Council got, unless they had a Demon Trigger, in which case that got an improvement. The Firebrand Trigger...well, all I know is what it looks like and, based on the fact that we could heat up the Molten Core, use fire abilities.

James took a moment to consider how best to deploy their Light Tank support without getting the guy and his crew blown to hell. Then he remembered how the APC had been deployed when they took the coach house. "Well Snider, I figure should we get deployed, you can provide us cover moving forwards and then fall back to provide cover fire once we reach the city. If we're even deployed." Once they were all in the back room, he took a step back and looked his temporary command over. After a few minutes of deliberation, he came to a decision on fire team make ups.

"Alright, first off, I'm Corporal Hunt. As you all already know, I'll be commanding the squad for the duration of the battle. Before I give you your fire teams, there's a couple of you newbies who are saluting myself and the captain. Out here, don't. We're in enemy territory, don't tell the snipers who to aim for to make our jobs more difficult. With that out of the way, Rousseau, Fairglaive, and Nelson, you're with me in fire team alpha. Jatmoore, Hexner, Weber, Sykora, and Durandal are fire team bravo. Jatmoore, I'm putting you in charge of it. Any questions?"

Wrath growled as the coils formed and he drew Rage Bringer in time to see the other snake ready to strike. Thinking fast, he unleashed an Earth Render, using it to dive out of the path of the bite and watching the head vanish into the crevasse. Knowing he didn't have much longer, he climbed out on the other side of the coils in time to see Kosara unleash an incredibly powerful attack while in her Devil Trigger. Time to unleash my own secret power. Reaching into the mark of the Council, he unleashed his Firebrand Trigger, a roar of magma surrounding him and exploding outwards as he brought his hands together to unleash a wave of searing flames. This, however, covered his actual attack as he closed behind it, slashing where he hoped Gorgon would go to dodge the attack and following it up with a pair of Cleaving Slices to try and catch her.
