Current Sometimes you spend so long looking for peace in someone else, you loose sight of that peace you can give yourself. Don't forget that guys.

So many writing ideas, so little time to write. Being an adult sucks...

Corporal James Hunt|Battle for Vasel

As Jatmoore's team made off to take position inside one of the two story buildings, James already had his team moving for another position in another two story house that would provide decent cover while they did their job. When Colins asked permission to go off on his own, James shook his head. "Negative, Colins. I'm a scout too, but I won't be letting anyone off on their own. We're fortunate the building we're heading to is vacant. Once we clear it and secure it, you can take up a position on the second story with me. Remember, I said no heroes." The house was, thankfully, unused by the Imps and so clearing and securing the building wasn't too hard to do. Once it was finished, he turned to his fire team. "Alright, Rousseau, Fairglaive, you two stay down here, barricade any other ways in besides the back door we came in through. If we end up having to retreat, we'll go back that way and use the alleys and buildings to keep them guessing. Once it's secure, rain hell on the Imps you can see. Colins, you come with me to the second story and we'll start picking off infantry. Hopefully Jatmoore's team is in position to start putting the hurt on those tanks. Get to it."

Well good luck with that.

By beating him up or by pointing out his own flaws that he is already aware of and just doesn't care, save for his fear of women.

There was actually supposed to be a joke in there, but I couldn't find it...

Nah, he can be a real dick.

Then maybe he needs to be cut down to size.
@Joshua TamashiiTo be fair to everyone else in the guild, Joshua is reserved, but within good reason given his past.
James Hunt|Streets of Crocus

James stood and watched as Cody approached Amaya, one hand resting on the pommel of his sword like it always did when he was idle. However, at the same time that Cody froze in what the paladin could only guess was fear, he felt a twisted and dark presence near Amaya and Joshua, an evil presence. He swiftly approached the trio, his helmet clinking into place even as he drew his sword and his shield took it's place on his left arm and he took up a position between the three and the presence, who appeared to be a very demented man. "Don't seek to insult our intelligence, dark one. You would kill everyone around us just to entertain yourself. So instead, I give you a chance to turn and walk away, or face my Holy wrath." For emphasis, a slight golden aura appeared around Amaya, Joshua, and Cody and his sword's blade turned a bright gold, indicating some kind of spell. "Choose wisely, because I can cast a shield of protection around every person within three blocks and still take you." Whether it was a bluff or not, even James wasn't sure of. He'd never used more than a fraction of his magic during any one fight because of so much of the nature of his spells.
I'll get something up in the next few hours then.

Wait I'm confused. Are you suggesting that the character I write up would have a prior relationship to Nolan?

<Snipped quote by Zarkun>

Yeah that's very frustrating. I don't have Netflix but my friend does. We watched all of the new Voltron on the weekend. That was great, I recommend it.

Watched that with my kids a couple weeks ago. Still waiting for season 2 XD

B-but... why would they do that? D:

I wish I knew, but it makes me both sad and angry at the same time.

Yeah I never minded that because let's be honest, One Punch Man is a parody of action anime above all else. It uses satire to subvert the dumb tropes we usually associate with those types of anime to create it's unique brand of comedy. It's why I can never get involved in any of the discussions my friends have about it. Not that there isn't stuff to discuss, because there is clearly a world being built within the show, but I personally feel like the best way for me to experience the show is to just roll with it. Don't question anything and just smile through the mayhem that is Saitama kicking the shit out of everything.

Not that there's anything wrong with over analysing stuff. I mean personally I could probably write 5 essays on Wolf's Rain (Which is my favorite anime btw and also I did write an essay on it in highschool because I was obsessed) so I'm not judging my friends for having that same passion for One Punch Man. I'm just saying that the thing that makes that anime great to me, is how it doesn't have to be taken seriously. It's feel good humor with a lot of clever subversion of overused anime tropes. They just don't really get that, and that's where I take issue with them.

Oh yeah me and my best friend get into little arguments like that all the time! Our biggest argument has always been our feud over FMA. I've always thought that despite Brotherhoods merits, the original is a better show; whereas he feels the opposite. We've had pretty big discussions arguing the points but it never becomes personal. We always end up agreeing that both shows are good and it just comes down to personal preference.

That was until he rewatched them both and his opinion changed and he now agrees with me.
SO SUCK ON THAT DUDE I WIN.

Also I kind of have the same opinion as your friend, but to a lesser extent. I feel like my big issue with most anime these days is that they never seem to get that high of a budget. So I could get really hooked on a show and then it just abruptly ends or gets given a second season that doesn't really tie shit together (I'm looking at you 'Spice and Wolf' and 'Tokyo Ghoul') because they didn't seem to have the budget to fully tell the story of the original manga/novel. Which always leads me to think 'Well why didn't I just read the manga/book to begin with and save myself the effort?'... also there's a lot of ecci garbage out there in the world and in the words of our lord and savior Hayao Miyazaki...

On the subject of FMA, I've read the majority of the manga and watched both anime adaptations. Brotherhood follows the plot of the manga far more closely than the original FMA, and on a personal level, I find that enjoyable. However, fuck Netflix, because they have every single FMA: Brotherhood episode but the very last one.
<Snipped quote by Zarkun>

The first season of the anime is great, but the second season is rushed. Thankfully the manga is better.

I've never played the games so I wouldn't know.

Heh, neither have I, I watched the Anime XD
