Should we also do a colab for our volcano top get-together, seeing as it's going to be a 3-way conversation which would take up way to may normal posts to do properly?

I'm not picky.

Research Party Alpha, Node Study Day 3

Dummies@DracoLunaris, Falon and Hunter@Lmpkio

Harold sighed as he walked his rounds around the perimeter of the small research station for the thousandth, with Hank, another marine, and Jim, a marauder, making the rounds with him. Command still hadn't sent over the materials and units to build a proper outpost, partly because they'd just started constructing a Gorgon-Class battlecruiser, but mainly because they couldn't currently spare the man power until the new round of SCVs was built and their pilots ready to man 'em. Guards weren't an issue, since the Hyperion and it's escort had been carrying a several full battalions of troops in case of ground operations before whatever weird event had dropped them here.

And after a week of fighting, then subsequent falling back and finding the node after scrambling for their desert perch, he had landed what was likely the most boring job they could give right now. "Guarding a bloody research outpost in the middle of a dead volcano. Totally the excitement I'd signed up for when I joined the Dominion military." His partners both groaned at his bit of external internal monologue and Hank put a hand on Harold's shoulder, pulling him to a stop so that they could talk face to face.

"For Christ's sake man, give it a rest. None of us expected to end up on this weird ass place and none of us really want to be guarding eggheads while they run scans and seismic tests on another Node to see if it can do what the other one can. But someone's gotta do it and we're safer here than back at the base where someone's gonna eventually notice our battlecruisers and drop a nuke on our heads." Harold opened his mouth to respond, but didn't get a chance as he spotted the approach of humanoid figures.

He immediately falls into protocol. "Heads up, unknowns incoming!" The entirety of the escort detail, containing around a dozen marines and marauders each, along with a Ghost for long range rifle support and a half dozen Hellbats for close combat support, moved to the admittedly poor defensive positions they'd set up, consisting of sandbags at various points around the lab equipment. Nobody moved while they waited for word from the Ghost, who'd see them much clearer than the rest. After a couple of tense minutes, his voice crackles to life on the coms.

"Look like some kind of combat robot, but they're definitely approaching in the least threatening way possible. Don't open fire until we're certain they're an enemy." After several more meters, one of the bots, who'd started to become more than vague shapes for the marines and marauders, waves and calls out in a cheerful, albeit robotic, voice.

"Friendly: Greetings fellow sentient being. I wish to talk business" Harold was tasked with a response over his loud speakers.

"You are entering an operation zone of the Terran Dominion, under the watchful eye of Raynor's Raiders combat division. Halt where you are and identify yourselves or we will open fire." As the group awaited a response from the approaching bots, who would hopefully stop where they were, the Ghost's voice crackles in again.

"Got two more coming down the far side, these ones are definitely armored humans, though I've never seen the armor before. Wait until they're...christ, they're armed as well. Looks like they're more cautious about things, and definitely not with the group that just hailed us. Repeat the message when they're close enough, Sergeant Harold." The marine grumbled quietly about being the outpost's spokesperson, but didn't argue.

As soon as the two men were within range, about another five minute wait, he repeated his message. "You are entering an operation zone of the Terran Dominion, under the watchful eye of Raynor's Raiders combat division. Halt where you are and identify yourselves or we will open fire." And now all they could do was wait as the two groups of other factions approached.

I wouldn't mind, either, however I'm probably going to be extremely busy today.

Post when you can, life comes first.
@Lmpkio@CHammer Do we want to collab our stuff before I post, so we can get it all out at once?
<Snipped quote by Zarkun>

If he somehow senses that Boba is there, for finds like something regarding to him... well maybe.

Sensing him wouldn't necessarily be the issue. It would be spotting him after. Sandstorm and what not.
<Snipped quote by Zarkun>

True again. You know what though, Ill let you guys land first and then have Boba consider shooting them or not.

I can always have Rave shoot first. Bad reflexive habit from his time on the run from his new bosses XD
<Snipped quote by DracoLunaris>

Sure. Considering they are at the southern desert, it can definitely be arranged.

I think its smart that Fett just stays hidden actually... and take a glimpse of the ships coming in and report it to Vader.

I mean, getting shot at a little bit would also give him more to report back, but ya know...
*shrugs* Whatever works. Just bear in mind that you'll have a squad of power-armoured fellows, a scond Ghost and a Sspectre also coming in in due course as well.

Two Spectres, Rave and an NPC.
@Lmpkio I'd like to apologize for not seeing this in your post sooner. The message would have been looped for no longer than an hour and a half before Rave had it shut off. The two day thing was going to be coming up, since we haven't yet left the first day of interaction.
James Varrock

Level: 3
Day/Time: Day Two
Location: Platform City-Smash Arena
Interacting: Gnorcs, Guile, and Gnasty Gnorc@Holy Soldier, Robin@DarkRecon, Fox McCloud@Etherean Fire, Shantae@Guardian Angel Haruki, Steve@Rockin Strings
Mention: Slayer@Lugubrious, Naija@DracoLunaris, Cloud@Holy Soldier
Word Count: 676

{Copy that, Fox. Stay in one piece down there.} Looking for a better vantage point, James begins to climb the seats to get up higher. While the position wasn't as unreachable as he would have liked, he would still be able to check his surroundings often enough that he could defend himself, not to mention Charger always had his back. As he climbed, Guile got back to him with orders for the group as a whole. They were to perform as much containment as elimination, and, despite it not sitting too well with the Nightstalker, eliminate any infected bystanders due to lack of a cure. Opening a channel to all those with some form of communication on them, James relays the information. {Just got word back from Guile. We're to contain this as well as eliminate it. We're also to put down anyone who's infected, we don't have a cure for it and I guess he doesn't want to risk an escape. The only reinforcements we're getting are checkpoints at all the subway entrances, no one else is coming in.}

Sliding into a prone position at the top of the arena, James holstered the Imago Loop and pulled the Stillpiercer off his back, scoping up on the guy in the robe in time to pick off a Gnorc that was sneaking up on him, shifting targets to try and help finish off the Egg-stealer just in time for it to slip free of the block man's grip and take off into the tunnels after the survivors. Shit... He fired three more rounds into three different super Gnorcs, their heads becoming mush, before he replaced his sniper onto his back and stood, drawing the Imago Loop and leaping towards the subway tunnel the Egg-stealer had run down. Then the Gnasty Gnorc spoke up and James was forced to dive for cover as more spines flew through the air and while the Guardian was definitely vaccinated, he had no desire to test just how potent that vaccination was.

Now the Nightstalker was torn, because he didn't want to abandon the group fighting Gnasty Gnorc, but he also wasn't sure he wanted to leave the unvaccinated heroes to deal with the Egg-stealer on the off chance that it was also infected. Then he had an idea, even as he spotted what the surviving Gnorcs had become. "Oh dear, you're going to do it again, aren't you?" James smiled at his partner's foresight, since this wasn't the first time he'd been faced with a choice similar to this.

"Damn straight." Summoning a Voidwall Grenade, he tosses it at the four abominations that were previously Gnorcs, knowing that the Void flames would be little more than a time buyer. Holstering the hand cannon, he draws the Stillpiercer and looks around the corner of his cover as he scopes up. Taking a moment to aim, he finds his target, Gnasty Gnorcs left eye, and fires before quickly ducking back behind cover. Replacing his rifle on his back, he draws his hand cannon again and sprints for the tunnel, grabbing the block man and dragging him along as he darts from cover piece to cover piece. {Fox, I'm heading into the tunnels, where that blue robed freak went. I don't know if it's been infected or not, but we can't risk it. Holler if you need my help.}

Eventually reaching the tunnel, he gets inside just in time to witness the survivors panicking and running down the tunnel, threatening to run the purple haired girl and the robed guy down. "Alright, block man, you stay here, keep panicking people from going back into that arena. It's REAL dangerous for those without a vaccination to be in there, and I don't want to have to shoot an infected civilian." Spotting the grin and glowing eyes, James takes aim and fires three shots at where he thinks the body would be in relation before calling out to the other two. "You two! Keep moving the survivors away! I'll deal with the laughing jack ass here!"
