Karn
Fiore || Mt. Hakobe->>>Magnolia
Interacting: Zenoram/Zero, Hemlock, Mithera

Karn curiously listened as Zenoram, then Zero explained the story, frowning a little at the cruelty. Sure, being a criminal wasn't something to smile upon but that didn't mean someone couldn't change. Nor should anyone blame anyone accossiated to them for past things. At the explanation of no one helping out and the question of understanding what it meant, Karn tilted his head to the side thoughtfully.

"Well, my village never hated me or my family. But they just pretended like I never existed. Runts of the litter don't really get much attention in that village at least compared to older siblings. Wasn't so bad compared to yours though." The blonde chuckled before holding out his arms to hug Zero but paused as the boy bluntly said he'd throw him off if the blonde did it.

Pondering for a moment, the green eyed bored weighed the options of which he would prefer more. But since it seemed Zero didn't want to, Karn let it slide and dropped his arms. He thought a little of his early memories and the village. He didn't remember too much though. The villagers didn't really pay much attention to him, even less so after mother died. Eric mostly earned everyone's favor.

The early memories earned him another brief cough before he smiled brightly at Hemlock's question. "Magnolia! We're going to meet up with the Phoenix Wing Guild." he chirped before glancing to Mithera at her suggestion, smiling a little more in excitement at the suggestion of Zero and Zenoram joining them.

It would be quite wonderful, having a Dragon Slayer and a friend around. "Everyone is super nice too." he mused happily as he thought of all the people he met today. But paused a little bit in thought, thinking Zero and Zenoram wouldn't be as keen to stay with them. Considering how close they were to Hemlock, despite maybe wanting some adventure and maybe even friendly people to be around. Yet Hemlock had shown some concern of having to leave as well, and it would be better for the Dragon Slayer to have someone, rather than be all alone. It wasn't fun.

"It's up to you of course, but we'd be glad to have you. Maybe even be team members." The blonde chirped in a his faster excited manner as hiss ecitement grew, emerald eyes sparkling at the sheer thought of maybe being part of a team. It would be so fun and exciting, and warm.

Edolas ???'Karn'

"Ack!" 'Karn' managed to utter out as he felt the back of his shirt grabbed by the fellow wizard. The smaller body easily being brought to a halt beside Mayt. The blonde boy pouted a little, but soon smiled happily at the pat on the head, gleefully accepting the gesture. Wizard X found the blonde both easy and difficult to pull off. Simply because sickenly honey sweet naive people weren't as easy to pull off as others. If only he had a bloody backbone.

"Well... Okay. If your're sure everyone will be okay. Giant cannons are a little worrying." 'Karn' said softly with a concerned expression, though was in reality not worried. They didn't think Jamie's children would have much problem in reality. Maybe a few bumps or bruises, but they could handle it. If it got too ugly, then maybe they'd step in.

As Mayt suggested going inside the palace to see what was happening, motioning 'Karn' to follow, the short blonde smiled brightly and practically skipped after him.

"Okie dokie! Though I kinda hope we don't have to do too much. Means that everything's alrigh." he said optimistacally.

Candy was ecstatic, this brightly colored boy had just joined the mighty Phoenix Wings! To be frank, however, Candy didn't really even know much about the guild and most the members. The only reason he choose this guild was that it was a fairly known guild, but not too impressive yet, and also that he had heard some crazy stuff happen inside of there. Upon entering the guild, however, he was met with a rather grim scene of terribly injured people which immediately made the boy turn around and losing a bit of his energetic attitude. He was a rather happy-go-lucky fellow, but he would rather not get involved inside such a place in which he barley knew anyone. So Candy was just walking around the streets of Magnolia with two lollipops sticking out of his mouth, each being quickly dissolved inside each cheek. He smiled and waved at everyone that passed by him, most people looking strangely at the rather strange looking kid with his overly bright looking clothes and personality to spare. Candy really didn't notice the staring, as he was just sight seeing at the moment, trying to get the feel of the town before he could actually start his adventures inside this place. He also had the pleasure of taking jobs to get money, like, actually gaining money through legal ways! It was such a bizarre concept when he had first heard of it, but it seemed to be the more moral thing to do, something that these heroes liked to show themselves off to be, like knights in shining armor. Candy was different, sure he liked to help people in times of need, but he needed to live too! He wasn't just going to act like he didn't need food or shelter to the public, being a hero was just a side job of surviving to him. Although, he would like to show his new type of magic, it was fun and interesting, with the added bonus that the magically infused candy was also actual candy! So his spells actually taste quite good. In the meantime, Candy was just going through the alleyways of the town, learning the landscape and quick escape routes, he wondered if he would make friends inside of this guild... It would be a nice change to share some of his candy with actual willing people that he knew instead of being creeped out by him.

Candy skillfully jumped a nearby fence that was blocking him from moving through the alleyways, he rather hated how people would just randomly put stuff inside the most random places to hinder the mobility of people like him, but it was just a minor inconvenience to someone like him who had lived on the streets for almost years. He sighed at the rather dull activity and really hoped he could happen upon someone interesting that he could talk to, or even a group of interesting people! He looked across the streets of the busy people and even towards the sky to find something... Nothing. Candy sighed and reached into his pocket to find two new lollipops, the ones he had been eating where almost finished and he would always like a constant supply of sweets on him. He crunched the two remaining lollipops inside of his mouth and spit out the small sticks and shoved the two into his mouth. "Orange Vanilla Whip and Sour Cherry? I thought I ran out of those a couple days ago... Huh. I really need to keep closer attention on my flavors." The boy idly announced and continued walking aimlessly through the streets.

Lazarus

He dabbed at his frozen wound with his fingers. "That's all we have to? Even with these wounds... It seems a little easy with magic." He looked around and then looked back to Sasha. "Wouldn't it be a good idea to actually be near the princess, he said in a questioning tone, folding his arms.

Edo-Lazarus

Yes Lazarus! He thought! Keep going. You have to! Move! He twitched his fingers again, as his heart beat once more. He felt a bright presence rush inside him for just a single moment, before letting out a whimpered groan aloud. "Eugh...." He lay on the floor in a pool of his own blood, groaning.

Minerva Fairchild - The Lion's Fang

Damian's explanation to why he despised her so viciously did little to recompense Minerva's distaste to the fact that he did such. Instead, silently she only lofted one slender eyebrow as calculating eyes of sapphire continued to look down upon him from where she stood. An ominous silence hang there then for a series of painstakingly slow moments while Minerva calculatingly decided precisely what to say next, only to be suddenly interrupted by the voices of two others.

First was the peculiar girl, Amaya Vanlsis; and then then a second who announced her name to be Fleo Plector. To both, Minerva would gently bow her head and actually offer a kind, softened smile that departed greatly from her usually icy complexion.

"Miss Vanlsis, and Miss Plector it is then, it is a pleasure to meet both of you. Welcome to Phoenix Wing. We can chat in a few moments, as that is all this spar will require." Inexorably, her gaze returned to the corner of her eye, where it fell back upon Damian. "It seems the only two that shall dance is you and I, shall we abandon these halls for a few moments and escape to the outdoors?"

With her constantly steely expression, she turned and walked away from the three towards the distant exit. Once she turned however, her expression turned from one that was cold to one that was darkly bitter. If there was anything that she despised in this world above all, it was the haste of judgment that others seemed to constantly possess. Here was this boy, who did not truly know her nor her past and before she even stood a chance meet him, she was inherently met with disgust simply because of her station.

A bloodline that she had been born into through no fault of her own. He spoke of war, he spoke of bloodshed and the cruelty and apathy of those with noble blood so ignorantly. It took every ounce of her being to maintain her composure, the composure that prevented the fangs of her words coming to bear in cruel procession.

Pressing her fingertips against the grain of the wooden door, the hinges smoothly gave way to the warmth of sunlight in the mid morning. Rigidly turning right and walking some distance from the front door as to prevent collateral damage against the guild hall, Minerva stood and waited for Damian to emerge. Once he did, her fingertips rose to rest casually upon the hilt of her father's blade so aptly named Durendal.

"You may begin whenever you wish," She stated softly as Merchants travelling on the road quickly scattered and the crowds faded. A battle between two Magi was not a crossfire that anyone would wish to caught up in. Minerva however, showed only little care for such a thought as her fingertips slid about Durendal to slowly slide the wonderfully crafted piece of steel from its sheath. She rose the blade then so that the flat kissed her nose as she nobly saluted the boy. Here in this stance as her hair took to the wind, everything else about Minerva seemed completely statuesque as she whispered the last words before the conflict began. "Strike when ready. Let me see what one of your hatred against someone who has done nothing to you can accomplish."

[Damian]

"Oh, you've earned every bit of what's coming. Being in your position puts you in a place to improve things, but it would seem you've put forth no effort." He quickly shifted through his three blades, sharpening their edges to keep from damaging his opponents own blades. Odds were they weren't magically created. "But I'm also not new to the world of magic." Damian raised his own blades and slid into a comfortable duel wielding position. "I've met three kinds of people during my travels when it comes to magical battles; the first are those who attack without warning, typically secure in their caster magic, such as a God Slayer. Most immediate example given my experiences a few weeks ago on a job. The second would rather attack at the same time, usually less secure caster and unsure holders, or confident holders with a sense of honor. The third and final type are people like you, who let the other attack first. Usually because your magic can alter perception or actually increase your speed, strength or other physical attribute. So, I'll do you a courtesy and let you clarify. Me, I'm a caster type, Blades Magic."

With a flourish, several blades shimmered into and out of existence as his left sword moved in front of him. If he was right, her attacks would often try to come from the flank. After he brought his sword back to his side, he summoned a Blade Shield, the spinning blades rotating around him clockwise. "Well?"

[James]

James ignored Melina's flirting to the best of his abilities and instead focused on what she said. "The flattery is a bit thick, Melina, but it shouldn't be hard to find you a book. Of course," he glanced at her, "that's assuming the library has a book on blood magic. I certainly don't know, I've not been in there yet."

Felix Lancaster

The Magnet Mage

Felix had enjoyed his talk with Fleo but didn't get a chance to discuss their similarities in magical ability. He figured he'd get plenty of time later, though! He was excited to make a fast friend as he had. He could be a bit high-energy for most people, but Fleo didn't seem to want to avoid him for that. In fact, she seemed just as hyper!

Felix didn't get to introduce himself ot the new arrival, a woman he gathered was Minerva, but he figured he'd have another chance in a few minutes.

He glanced to Fleo and Amaya. "Shall we watch? This might give us a chance to learn their habits, though I suppose they don't have many. Still. We could learn a lot." He grinnned at Fleo. "Even us A-Class mages."

He then headed outside to see the sparring match was already underway. At least the preparation was. The two seemed to be waiting for the right moment to strike. Felix eyed them both carefully, and waited for the fight to begin. Or had it already, the moment the two stepped outside? It seems their conversation was as much mental combat as the sparring match would be physical.

Sasha

Sasha sighed softly, stepping back and studying the wounds. She would have given anything to have bandages, if only to bind the wounds more effectively then with the ice. "perhaps because this world has not had to fight Magic in so many years" she said softly, looking ahead, she could still see Liana, and wasn't too worried about the Princess's safety. She gave another sigh, and look back towards Lazarus. "why didn't you tell me what you were doing?""

Edo-Sasha

Edo-Sasha rose, now uncertain with what she was meant to do. She had come here to help her guild, and instead, ended up being the reason someone had died trying to save her, and had tried to save them.

Now she didn't know what to do. She had no idea what was happening with her other members, not what was even going on here. "try and protect me like that again, and I won't hesitate to leave you next time. You got that?" she said, not even sure if Edo-Lazarus could hear her. "I don't need anyone dying for me"

Penny

Penny fueled her attack, hotter and hotter, careful to avoid any people, staying where she was, hovering right in front of the cannon, as if she could stop any blast from it simply by being there. The heat didn't bother her, and nor did the intensity of it.

She was in her Phoenix form, after all.

Master Jamie

As the others set about talking and preparing for duels, Master Jamie watched as someone stepped into the guild and then immediately back out. He looked to Damian, and rose, going to her rooms and changing her shirt, before following after the person, after saying quickly to Damian "you are in charge until I get back"

He didn't wait for a response, trusting Damian with the guild, as they followe the stranger that had entered quickly and left. They appeared to be wandering now, sucking on some candy, as they put more candy in their mouth, Jamie said "some interesting flavored there. Sorry, but did you want something when you came to my guild?"

Jarvis

Jarvis watched as se spirit did Amelia's bidding, all the while looking about to make sure that there weren't any more arrows or attacks coming their way. He looked to Amelia, and smiled. "I still think it's important for you to defend yourself. But you will be a powerful mage one day, when you are older. Role seems to be a valuable spirit"

Jayce/Location: Cliffside

Jayce whistled as he watched the massive man in armor fall off the cliffside, shaking his head as he hit the ground. "...Man, guy must've been a real ass to deserve that." he thought as he steadied his grip. Staring in awe as the cannon fired the chain, he started to break into a cold sweat as he saw the land mass it hooked start to inch closer. Didn't matter how fast, that thing was going to get pulled in. Even if it wasn't going fast, it was more than likely going to crush the castle in the center of the town and destroy the whole thing. Getting a firm grip and digging into the rock wall with his right arm, Jayce used his free hand to pull a Red, Blue, and Green lacrima from his pouch. Locking all into the drawer of his forearm, he closed it up and steadied his grip with his left hand, simply saying: "Steam." before steam poured from the fingertips of his right hand, the scalding vapor slowly moving around the area and becoming more of a mist.

Climbing up, Jayce ran over to the cannon, looking for any kind of access or maintenance panel he could use to get into the inner workings of the machine. It'd be bad if the thing exploded, especially with all these people up here. And the unstable cliff.

Candy moved around the lollipops inside of his mouth, managing that none of the candies hit each other while bouncing wildly. The brightly colored boy was wondering if someone was ever going to talk to him, as the civilians surrounding him maybe fun to mess around with, but not actual talking material compared to some wizard which could have interesting stories to tell. Candy was going to try to put another inside of his mouth, just to see if he could break his record of putting 9 lollipops inside of his mouth in one session. However, he was quite startled by the sudden voice and spun around with his hands ready to punch someone, something that became instinctual for the boy, as most of the people that actually started the conversation with him were cops trying to arrest him for disorderly conduct. Although, he didn't see cops, but something else that he was not really expecting, the guild master of the Phoenix Wings standing in front of him. Surprised, he opened his mouth slightly, not enough to let the lollipops fall out, but it was almost wide enough to show his actual astonishment. Candy looked around to see if this was some sort of ruse and looked at the person in front of him with an inquisitive look. "Huh... You're the guild master for the Phoenix Wings aren't you? Well, to be honest, I didn't really expect you to follow me or anything like that or really anyone to follow me in that matter, but at least your not a cop." Candy chuckled, his speech virtually unaltered with the two lollipops swirling through his mouth. "So, I was going to try to join this guild. However, I was a little discouraged and decided to leave, now, I was just roaming the streets trying to find someone and I found you, so my problems are relatively fixed."

Minerva Fairchild -- The Lion's Fang

Passively, Minerva watched on as Damian conjured forth a set of illusory and flickering blades to complement the chastising he venomously spat forth in her direction. As much as she wished, as much as she should have retorted in kind to such words, the Noble did not. Instead, Durendal hung loosely at her side after the salute. Within her own mind, and her own mind alone, a singular phrase echoed to her in particular as she took a step forward.

If have to look along the shaft of an arrow from the wrong end,

Her fingertips tensed slightly on the hilt of her sword, and formerly invisible runes on the side flickered in a purely white light. Her concentration rippled up through her arms swiftly, coursing quickly through her veins was a new kind of horrific power as her eyes closed tightly shut.

if a man has you at his mercy, then hope like hell he's an evil man.

Slowly, her eyelashes raised to bring her gaze to bear once again. What were once brilliantly fiery sapphires had gave way to a new sensation for all to see. Filling her eyes was a type of magic that only few had ever seen or possessed the will to learn, as the air itself snapped, crackled and broke as arcs of electricity traced jagged paths across her cheeks. Even still, there was not a single utterance nor incantation from the girl as she took one steady step forward towards Damian.

Because the evil like power, power over people. And they want to see you in fear,

In her own gaze, the world had strayed unto a slowed rate. Leaves fell from the trees at a snail's pace, the wind which had been brushing her cheek only moments before seemed to crawl to an utter standstill. Even this occurred with only one blade, for if she decided to draw upon Caladbolg the rate by which she could move doubled. For now as she took another step across the distance towards Damian, one could not see the direction of her stare, but within all means any could certainly sense it. The entirety of her encompassing focus was upon Damian and his magic, how it moved inexorably to and fro. Patterns of such would be easily recognizable at this rate, and the sooner she found a pattern, the sooner she could find the weakness in his defense.

It was only a matter of time, and with this sight, she had all the time in the world.

They want you to know that you are going to die. So they'll talk, they'll gloat,

they'll put off the murder like another man will put off a good cigar.

With her steel-tipped boots digging into the ground itself, Durendal smoothly transitioned to rest the hilt of the blade against her cheek, while the sharpened pointed edge came to rest pointing directly towards Damian's heart. While this felt like an eternity for her, the speed by which this was accomplished in all actuality was barely even a blur. Like coiled springs, her knees bent to gather an immense amount of strength in her legs like a venomous snake about to strike. Her free hand swept behind her gracefully as her power arced across the very cobblestone street beneath her for a moment.

So hope like hell your captor is an evil man.

And so she launched herself forward with absolutely inhuman speed beyond imagining. Her first strike swept forward with this rapidly enhanced strength as Durendal sang its eerie tune once it struck vertically through the air before she had even closed the distance. The result cracked and split the very road in font of her as a burst of highly pressurized air ruptured forth in a vertical, but invisible crescent. Tearing through the air right for the brunt of Damian's frontal, and heavily fortified defenses.

Minerva herself flickered and then sharply changed direction. In little more than the blink of an eye she passed Damian's right flank, and in another wicked change of movement she was suddenly behind him. Even with his swirling maelstrom of blades, she could find gaps, holes, weaknesses within it at ease and with a precisely timed movements, each blurring thrust or strike of her Durendal passed between the thin slits of his moving shield. There was no relent as she pushed forward, and a maddeningly fast maelstrom of hellishly precise strikes came searching for every weakness that he might hold.

A good man will kill you with hardly a word.

Bingo. The first blow connected with the front of the Blade Shield, just like he had thought it would. And just like he'd predicted, she came at him from behind. As she swung, the shield vanished and his left Hermes Blade connected with her saber, redirecting it towards the ground as his right came straight at her, the edge of the blade drawing a thin line of blood across her cheek. "Don't underestimate your opponent." Master Jamie leaving him in charge hadn't gone unnoticed, but it was odd that she'd already be disappearing for some reason or another. But the match was the focus for the moment.

Pulling his blade back, he back flips away and unleashes a storm of falling blades towards the noble, switching one of his swords to a reverse grip and closing the gap again, he thrusted, parried, slashed, and countered, earning couple nicks of his own in the process, one on his cheek, likely recompense for the one he gave her, and across his upper arm. Spotting an opening, he switches back to the Ares Blades and catches both sabers in the prongs, twisting the left one in a way that would force her to either let go of it or break her wrist.

Earthland Train

Trinity smiles warmly as Maddox sees her way of things. "That's the spirit. I'm sure your new jacket will be rad." She rubs the back of Nori's neck gently as they sit. The bard's eyes flit between the two others with her, the blood mage and Maddox. "If you don't act with grace and gratitude, you may have the kindnesses extended to you rescinded." She took her hand from Nori to lightly pluck at her harp. There she was, echoing her aunt again...

Edolas Capital City

Trin stepped out on to the parapet, to find only a puddle of blood and scattered dust. She climbs up on the edge and looks around carefully. With nothing more to be found, the young dancer approaches the pool of blood and kneels next to it. Trin has a hard time looking at it... was it hers? There was something mixed in, in the center, too, but she couldn't tell what from a glance.

With a final glance around the area, the dancer departs.

The dancer would eventually emerge from the castle, just as Mystery Karn ran past her. "Karn...? No..." It wasn't her Karn, anyway. She stared after the figure, feeling particularly pensive.

Mayt
Mayt chuckled and shook his head at Karn's over enthusiasm, before starting towards the palace, making Karn come with. "Yes, Giant cannons can be a bit bothersome." As he approached Edolas Triniy, he spoke up. "Hey, Trinity, did you find out where your Karn is? They've got to meet this ball of fun at least once." He smiled a bit, but frowned as he noticed her reaction to Earthland Karn. He had figured out the two were fairly close, and the look on her face indicated she hadn't found anything good. "Judging by the stare you're giving him, it isn't good. What did you find?" His look shifted to one of minor worry. While he didn't care as much about this worlds Karn as the others here, it didn't mean he didn't want them to live. He put an arm around Karn protectively, but squeezed the boy's shoulder a tad rougher than he should've.

Master Jamie just stood as the boy spun to face him, hands up. She smiled as the boy clearly thought it was some sort of joke, or as if he thought that Master Jamie wasn't here for him. How the boy could talk with so much candy in his mouth, she had no idea. He seemed a skittish kind of person, and Jamie wondered what the boy had gone through to be like that. Ready to fight in a matter of moments was good, but not in a suburb of a city. Of course, in Magnolia, you could never be too sure, Jamie supposed.

"You shouldn't be a little discouraged because of what has happened in the guild today. This?" he laid a hand over the bandaged wound, gently, "Just shows that I protected my members. And I'm still here to tell the tale."

Master Jamie smiled, and said "Yes. I am Master Jamie of Phoenix Wing."

Minerva Fairchild - The Lion's Fang

Twirling through the air, Durendal slammed into the ground and dug deeply into the street as it was stolen away from her grasp by Damian.

With the initial exchange that lead to a clash of steel, a think line of crimson trailed down Minerva's fair cheek. As he broke away to retort with a set of words he likely believed were unsettling, she gave him no response, no words. There was only the sheer amount of focus in her eyes as they blazed with literal magic. He thought she was underestimating him?

Hardly, if at all. She knew he was an S-Class Magi. The thin line on her cheeks that stung viciously reminded her all to well of that. She however, was an A-Class. Nothing fantastic or unimaginable by all means. She sought to spar against this man to see where she stood against him; she did not seek to fight him however to combat over ideals.

Smoothly, Minerva unsheathed Caladbolg from its sheath. Her sword, her own priceless personal sword sang as the air came to touch it. Deftly, it snapped onto her side just as the blades he had conjured came in a barrage towards her from the distance.

Beyond them, she saw Damian closing the distance.

Swiftly, Minerva kicked to the side, moving swiftly to the right to retrieve Durendal. Once her fingertips wrapped about the hilt, the world literally came to a near complete pause in her perception. Seizing her sword and launching herself towards Damian's barrage, the movement of which appeared her like slowly falling shards of glass.

Weaving through the blades, the girl easily ducked and wove between the onslaught of blades. Until she swept past them and sharply closed the distance with Damian. In the perception of her adversary, Minerva was standing distant one moment with both swords in hand, and the next moment she was just barely a hair's breadth away from striking range of her adversary. With both swords drawn, the intensity by which she struck in both speed and strength had doubled. With a sharp parry, Minerva found herself an opportunity and Caladbolg swung in vertically on high.

Naturally, Damian would cross the blades in defense to stop the strike, but the ferocity by which they collided, resulted in shattering of the surrounding street beneath Damian's feet. So monstrous was it that a crater formed as a result while the very foundations of the buildings around them shook and shuddered as if in fear.

She was using him as a test for her strength. That was all that mattered. No other words needed to be said on her part.

Damian pushed off from the ground, using the crater and crossed to his advantage, and swung and twisted his body so he was above the noble. Spinning, he slammed his boots into her back and pushed off, landing on the ground, switching one of his Hermes blades to a Hercules Blade. Spinning it, he summoned a series of falling blades, but didn't have them all fall at once, instead sending them them out in waves as he landed. Sliding to a stop, he sent out a Piercing Blade as well. Then he waited, as she came out of the crater and avoided the falling blades and the Piercing Blade. This time when she came at him though, he side stepped the attack and slammed his elbow into her back, causing her to stumble.

He followed it up with a Hercules Strike, bringing the suddenly duel Hercules Blades down in an arc and slamming the ground and sending the shattering impact towards her. As she dodged, just barely, he was back to his Hermes Blades, spinning, slashing and thrusting to keep the noble on the defensive. Then he saw his opening as she parried a slash from the left. Damian spun into her guard and dismissed both of his swords, delivering a quick pair of jabs to her abdomen and then catching her right hand and disarming her, the sword spinning away once more. Dodging a slash, he summoned a single Ares Blade and caught her remaining sword in it's prong, twisting sword and body, Damian flipped her over his shoulder and disarmed her at the same time, standing straight for just a moment before falling to one knee and breathing heavily, his skin a sickly white. "OK....need...more rest..." And then he promptly passed out, the sword in his hand fading away as he fell to the cobble stone.

Candy looked upon the bandaged wounds upon the guild master and felt weird on how they were acting like the apperance of Candy was just a natural thing. Usually, people always ask him a bunch of questions that he would rather not answer and later pull several pranks on them for retaliation as he couldn't really physically damage civilians with his two fist. The boy was shifting his eyes to and from the bandage wound and the guild master's face, he never really understood the real fact on why people would help each other out as no one really helped him out in actual kindness. The rich merely took him in because it made themselves feel better that they were supposed good people by helping out a poor street urchin, but they were still bad people to the core. Feeling quite jittery, he started to tap his feet onto the ground repeatedly while tapping his fingers on his arms, trying to use the excess energy that Candy always had on him. "Protected your family from some big bad guy? Nice job, now, would you care to help this poor little boy get some money by accepting him into the guild? I would say that he is quite handsome and has super awesome tasting and powerful magic." Candy chuckled at his own little jokes, something that he always did whenever he felt slightly nervous.

Master Jamie laughed. She just couldn't help it. The boy seemed to expect that at any moment, something bad might happen. That Jamie himself might even attack, or banish him. As the boy tapped, and moved, almost unable to stay still, Well, Jamie suspected that the boy ate the candy one after the other, so he wasn't surprised that he seemed to be jingling with excess energy.

"Of course you may join my guild. Phoenix Wing always accepts members. And today seems to be the day for it. You are the Fifth new member I've accepted today" Jamie smiled, almost proudly, "Come. Lets head back to the guild"

Jamie looked about, getting her bearings, and then led the way back to the guild, "So you can get your mark and settle in"

Candy seemed to make a good impression upon Jamie as they were laughing at his joke and seemed that their laugh was genuine, not forced like many people did to him. However, Candy was excited to hear that he was formally accepted to join the guild, by the master themselves! To celebrate this victory over his new life, he was going to create some new type of magic involving candy that would surprise the entire guild and even be more impressed by his grand power. He shook himself out of his thoughts as he noticed Jamie was moving back to the direction of the guild and Candy quickly caught up to the guild master with some rather fast skipping. The brightly colored boy continued skipping along side Jamie and he heard of the news about getting his mark and settling in, which intrigued Candy. "Looks like I'll be getting my first tattoo at this guild, fifteen year old boy fighting along side with his brothers and sisters of the Phoenix Wing Guild. I can see all over the headlines!" Candy said, making a square with his fingers and putting it towards his eye like a monocle. "Oh? So I get my own room at the guild then? That would be great as I'm kinda short on money... Like, all the time."

Minerva Fairchild - The Wrath of Ancient Kings

In a swirling tempest of movement, Minerva had been disarmed and flung over the man's shoulder. Even the two sharp pains to her abdomen did not hamper her focus as deftly she caught her fall easily with her fingertips and flipped in the midst of a spin. Gracefully, her skirt flared outward, and she landed nimbly on her feet.

Without her swords in hand, the magic about her gaze faded and her expression slipped into a disgusted scowl. It was a weakness that she had always possessed, but it was one that she had compensated deftly with all the same.

Turning and expecting to see Damian upon her to finish the fight, the Noble was surprised simply see the puff of dirt that announced his collapse in the center of the crater that she had created. Exhaustion, apparently seemingly the result of the wickedly fast conflict.

Sauntering over to her swords one at a time, Minerva plucked them upward and pulled a handkerchief from the inside of her bolero jacket. Running the piece of fine silk along the flawless edge of Durendal, she returned her father's blade to the sheath it belonged in. Doing the same with Caladbolg, she offered only a side glance to the unconscious S-Class Magi. There was moment of hesitation before she strode back into the Guild past the others.

"Do not speak to me about sacrifice as if I know nothing of it, you mutt." Then placing the thin piece of silk against her bleeding cheek, applying pressure so that the blood might stop, she sauntered back into the hall with her smoldering gaze.

Angrily, she left Damian in the crater.

To her dislike, the fight had ended in a draw. She being disarmed and he exhausted, but at least she could go toe-to-toe with a supposedly S-Class Magi as an A-Class. There was much work to be done still before she could go beyond even that. Sliding into a seat at the bar, she rested her elbow upon the polished ledge to put additional pressure on her cheek to further stem the bleeding.
