"Relax, if you aren't cut out for field work then you can sit behind a desk and help report crimes to units who go investigate. Jobs almost a guarantee with so many Enforcer having just graduated out." He said calmly.

"Listen, you just do your best and come find me after classes. I'll take you to the Enforcers compound, if you do get in the pay is pretty good. I make seventeen dollars an hour just walking the streets." He chuckled before heading for the door.

Inwardly he knew the poor girl wouldn't do well in the field but with things the way they were she might end up there. Maybe he should try to... NO! She's a stranger and even if she is really nice he can't just try and get her a safe job the higher ups would decide that.

The job was almost a guarantee? Well, sweet! Kanako beamed. Finishing up the application, she handed it to the Enforcer boy. "Thank you so much!" she beamed. "I'm in Class 1-E, could we meet outside my classroom, then?"

Pleased, she almost bounced her way back to Touji. "Touji, Touji!" she said, probably interrupting whatever he was doing, but Kanako had always been a bit oblivious about that sort of thing. "Guess what? That guy just said I'm almost guaranteed an Enforcer desk job! Oh, and they're going to teach me how to use a weapon! Isn't that awesome?"

She giggled happily, and then pulled out her phone. "Oh, I should text Taro to tell him! And Eri, too!"

It was a quiet time in the firing range at St Sebastian's, a time when one could take a break and relax from all the laser gun firing and the bullet gun firing. Yup, it was a time for Taro to stop shooting his guns and shoot his bow instead. From the back line, Taro fired upwards at a dummy a little bit away, spearing it through the top of the head.
"Oh, sweet. It hit." Taro said.

He found that shooting normal guns was rather boring. Sure, lasers were cool and, but they lacked punch. And yes, the more 'normal' guns had pretty good punch, but with something like a bow and arrow...

"Alright, let's try this..." Taro said.
He took two arrows from the nearby quiver and put one of them on the string, keeping the other one in his hand. He drew back and aimed upwards, at the dummy's head once again. As he let go, he quickly took aim straight towards the dummy's head and drew the other arrow back quickly. He released it as the other arrow arced and was met with a well timed, satisfying thock as both arrows hit the dummy at the same time.

"Holy crap, that worked!" Taro said.
Well, he'd had little doubt that it would, but it was still cool. He pressed the button to open the door to the target field and walked over to analyse the damage.
"Hm...." He thought.
Hitting the target twice was actually rather pointless, as one arrow should've been enough to pierce the brain. That said, if he fought robots or something, then maybe it would actually be useful.
"It's only really useful for showing off..." He thought.
He shrugged and eased the two arrows from the dummy. He walked back to the sniper's nest and picked up his quiver. That was enough practise for today.

As he went to retrieve his belongings from the locker room, he noticed as he picked up his phone that he had a mmessage from Kanako, which was curious. It was still around class time, afterall. Well, nearing the end of the day, but still. He quickly read over the contents.
"WHAT?!" He said aloud in disbelief.
She was getting an enforcer desk job? Why would she? He entered a quick reply.

Taro

With that, he hit the send button, not even pausing to look over it. He'd probably written something stupid, but whatever. He still couldn't think of why Kanako had wanted to be an enforcer. Then again, her personality was kind of airy, and her control over her esper power wasn't the best, so maybe she wanted some kind of protection?

Taro sighed and picked up his bag. He hoped he'd at least see her at the evening shift. He had to ask her in person about this. Fortunately, the bell went to signal the end of the day, so he slung his bag over his shoulder and started heading home. As he walked out of the school grounds, he stretched and yawned. It'd been a reasonably annoying day, but it was his first-first-day-of-school he'd spent as a senior with responsibilities, because honestly, he didn't like responsibilities. He was kind of tired, and the prospect of Kanako getting an enforcer desk job didn't exactly give him a huge burst of energy.

He sighed again. The week promised to be a remarkably annoying one, despite the apparent 'freedom'. Sure, there was no school, but there was the fact that he had to go do competitions and contests that he would rather avoid. Representing St Sebastian's or something. If he had his way, he'd shut himself in his apartment for the entire week only emerging to consume food and buy games and manga. In fact, to be honest, he really wanted to be a neet for the rest of his life and not have to worry about anything, but bills had to be paid and he needed money for that. All in all, the next week would be pretty bothersome for him.

At the arrival of an excited Kanako, Touji turned around, his arms filled with snacks and whatnot that he gathered while she was in the weapon's demonstration. "Oh, you becoming an enforcer? Sounds dangerous." Taking a sandwich and eating it whole in a single bite, he continued on speaking after that. "Are you sure a dimwit like you can hold a gun well enough? It'd be a tragedy if you dropped your gund because of your ability." Of course, while he sounded rude and carefree, he was just expressing his worry, twisted as it may be, though, to be honest, it was worry for everyone around her and she herself.

Still, the next thing he saw, was Kanako happily sending mails to other people in her phone. Munching on some kind of bread enxt, Touji peeked over to see what she was writing. "You dragging other people into your craziness too? Enforcers should start giving away safety vests with you around." Giggling slightly, Touji finally thought it'd be just common courtesy oferring something to Kanako. Maybe having something in her stomach might make her think somewhat clearer.

"Want some? I can get plenty more later." He showed Kanako his whole assortment of food, so she could pick something. "So, what next? Do we skip class again or something? Regardless, I need some serious sleep."

Mikhail was in the midst of rearranging all of his luggage on his back so he wouldn't drop a bag every ten seconds during the long trek that it was to his flat when his attention was grabbed by a rather odd sentence. The red haired boy turned only to be greeted by the sight of a girl a foot shorter than her. He stared at the girl in silence for a few moments as he had to replay the sentence again a few times in his head to get its meaning, he wasn't use to listening to German accents. "Oh, you want to know where ya room is?" He said before he scratched his chin and looked over his shoulder back at the city. "Yeah I suppose I could point ya in the right direction. Do you have an address or anything already lass? He asked hoping that this would go smoothly, though knowing his own luck Mikhail doubted that.

"Are you sure a dimwit like you can hold a gun well enough?" Touji said. "It'd be a tragedy if you dropped your gun because of your ability."

Kanako giggled. "Aw, are you worried about me?" she cooed. "I'll be fine! I'm going to learn how to get super awesome with the gun!"

"You dragging other people into your craziness too? Enforcers should start giving away safety vests with you around," Touji said, upon seeing her texting.

Well, Kanako was, in fact, doing just that. When Touji offered, she happily accepted a box of Pocky, which she tucked into her pocket.

Taro had just texted her! And, hey, the idea of him becoming an enforcer too... that was pretty cool! She hurriedly texted him back, and then put her phone away. It was kind of rude to text someone else while talking to Touji.

"Ahhhhh," she hummed. "If you're sleepy, you might as well skip! It's not like we're doing anything important on the first day, anyway. Or you could go home and sleep. Or something. You stayed up all night for Chiyo-chan, right? I have to meet that guy after classes, though, so I can't skip with you today..."

She stretched, feeling rather pleased. She'd asked that guy to meet her in front of her classroom, so she'd better head back to classes. "Well! I have to go back to class, I guess, but I'll text you later! And I'll tell you how it goes!"

She started heading back to the classroom.

So, as Eri woke up from her deep sleep, my excuse she noticed she had missed the whole meeting thing. She honestly didn't care much, but she remembered that class was still going on.

She noticed she had a text, and that it was from Kanako. She read it slowly, and was quite surprised. She made a quick reply.

Moecue Kotono.

During her Anima Magic class at Seventh Sanctum, Kotono was paying very close attention. She wanted to be able to use magic in both Light Magic and Anima Magic successfully. She may have had Thoron, but that was a slow spell and took way to much of her energy to use more than 2 times.

Today, they were talking about Fire Magic. They taught the basics, such as what different types of Fire Magic is useful for. One of the spells created a pillar in front of the caster, to force opponents to step back. She supposed that would be useful.

At the end of class, they gave every student a book about Fire Magic to look at and study with. In the hall, Kotono decided to go to her next class (after putting things in her locker, of course).

And that's the opener for Moecue- I mean, Kotono.

After grabbing a box of pockys, Kanako decided to bail on him and go back to the classroom. He was partly suggesting that they skip together, but since she didn't seem to take the hint, or didn't want to do so, at the very least. "Ehhh? C'mon, don't leave me alone. I'll die from loneliness like a rabbit if you leave me alone!" Touji hurried after Kanako. He wanted to sleep, but he wasn't about to be all alone like that. He didn't like being left alone for a lot of time. It got boring, having no one he could pester around. Or talk to for that matter.

"If you are so eager to go, then I'm going with you. Just to make sure you don't kill anyone, or yourself." Touji said, making up his mind to go with Kanako after school was done with. Well, at the very least, he had something to do now, for the rest of the evening. It was dangerous, yes, but it was something to do, contrary to what he would have done had he gone straight to his house. He had the day free from work, after all.

"Oh, you want to know where ya room is?" the now obviously Irish peer said before he scratched his chin and looked over his shoulder back at the city. "Yeah I suppose I could point ya in the right direction. Do you have an address or anything already lass? "

"Vell..... That is vhere I have the.. problem." she pointed to the paper detailing her living quarters. It read: Section B of District 7 of the Naval Studies Region. Room Number 4775 Arkillia Academy Dormitories, quadrant 4. She looked back at the student and shook her head. "This is very confusing, is it not? It seems so unnecessarily messy, as if it is a test itself on my navigational skills. Very little to work with here in this foreign land when it comes to navigating to specific districts, regions, sections, or vhatever seems to classify as an 'address' on this chaotic island." Aya was, needless to say, barely keeping up the dike that was now holding back her building frustration and rage as a result to her understandably exhausted position. For the Irishman's sake, she better be home soon.

Taro got another text from Kanako and started seriously considering his options. Well, really, there wasn't much of one. He'd get paid for being an enforcer, first of all. More than being a grocery store employee, at least. He had been planning to join the enforcers sooner or later, so it wouldn't jar his ambitions or anything. And besides, his current boss was kind of annoying. Also, he assumed he could be a part time enforcer, which meant that he could still possibly do the grocery store job and get those handy discounts as well as having some more income...

Alright, that settle it. Taro thought.
For friendship and money, he'd become an enforcer. He decided to take a little detour from his walk home to the nearest enforcer office to sign up. He didn't know what exactly he needed, but he technically had all his credentials. ID, credit card and his bow (in case he needed to make badass shots) were all on him.

Taro walked through the doors of the enforcer office, near the bakery down the road from his house, and walked through the sliding doors, pacing towards the reception desk.
"Hey, I wanna be an enforcer." He said to the receptionist.

Mikhail's emerald eyes glazed over for a moment as the short girl began her slight spiel. He had never been very good with accents, which made going to school over seas quite the challenge, and he had just now started to get the hang of understanding Japanese accents, but this new thick German one was kicking his but in understanding. After hat must of been a truly awkward moment of silence Mikhail had to shake his head to pull himself out of the fog that his got stuck into from decoding the girl's words. "Uhhhh yyyyyeeeeaaahhh... testing yer navigating right. I don't know about all that lass, but I know where yer place is, it is smashed in with all the other Knight dorms. He said before he let out a yawn and rolled his neck. "I can show ya how to get there, I have to trek out that way myself anyway to get to my flat." He added as he looked back to the girl.

Wow, Touji wanted to come with her! Awesome!

"Wow, thanks!" she exclaimed, falling back into step with him as they headed back to the classroom. "Aw, Touji, we're best friends! I'd never leave you alone! But even if I did, you have Chiyo-chan to keep you company, huh?"

Touji would just have to sleep in class, she supposed.

By the time class was over, she was a bundle of nerves. Well, she was definitely hyped up about learning how to use a weapon, but at the same time… what if she wasn't what they wanted? Actually, scratch that. With her shoddy ability, there was no way she'd be what they wanted. But what if she was so far from what they wanted that they told her to leave or something?

Well, she'd at least get her money's worth (except that she hadn't paid any money) and make sure that they taught her how to use a weapon before they kicked her out, rather than after the fact.

With that thought in mind, she settled in outside the classroom to wait for the Enforcer boy to show up. He was supposed to show her to the Enforcer compound, right? And surely he wouldn't mind if Touji tagged along too!

-------------------------------

Meanwhile, Allen was wandering around Arkillia Naval Academy and generally making a nuisance of himself. It kind of helped that he had such a forgettable face that people didn't seem to notice that he definitely wasn't a knight, much less a student here.

After wandering around for a bit, however, he started spacing out. The Academy's scenery was pretty cool, but it wasn't that interesting… which was why he ended up walking right into some German girl with a whole lot of luggage. The force of the impact knocked him right on his ass, where he sat for a moment, feeling kind of dazed.

Finally, he stood up. "Um, sorry!" he said apologetically. "Didn't mean to do that."

Airus hung around the school, doing patrols and checking security bots. As the schools shut down for the day he went back to the gates, Smokey following along like a lost puppy. The robot had always been a good friend and thanks to his connection he had even gotten the thing a little bit of personality of course he still the quiet type. Yet he was unique painted black and gray rather the usual blue and white of most Secure-X protector bots.

He purchased a cup of coffee and hung around outside, it was warm yet the sea breeze kept it bearable as he waited patiently as Kanako arrived he gave her a wave. He would walk her over to the compound, right inside the Knight rooming district as unsurprisingly most Enforcers in the field were Knights. However they also had more Espers working desk jobs then anywhere else in the city. Mages rarely joined Enforcer due to the fact that generally preferred chaotic fun to orderly conduct.

Across town in a small Enforcers station

The receptionist looked up and smiled at Taro handing him a sheet of paper to fill out, then moments later a second one. "Fill this out and head over to main Enforcers compound, look for officer Airus he's been made today's recruiting officer." She hummed and rubbed her head, she was an Esper yet a unique kind telepathic communicate. These Epsers were always quickly snatch up by the Enforcers for there ability to send messages and picture instantly. They received great benefits and higher pay grade. "His partner called in earlier to let me know he would be bringing by some Esper girl who was pining for a desk job." She giggled.

"Oh, yay." Taro said insincerely. "Paperwork. My favourite."
He took the two sheets to a nearby bench with some convenient pens and began filling them in. They mainly asked normal, boring questions, which was boring. His mind wandered as he filled the sheets in. Funnily enough, he didn't need that much proof of identity or anything, which seemed a little slack, but he would probably be interviewed or something. And also judging by the fact that half the force was robots...

As Taro filled in the sheet, he checked the time. He reasoned that he could probably make it to the main enforcer office, back to his apartment and then to his job in time if he ran fast enough, so it would probably be fine? He might be a bit late, but honestly, his boss sucked and he would probably quit soon anyway.

Taro continued writing. As he did, his mind wandered in weird directions.
Why don't these things ask what your favourite colour is or something? Or what you think the meaning of life is? Taro thought. It'd be a whole lot more interesting that way and it'd feel more personal or something.
He suddenly stopped because he was just about to write in his favourite colour for something important. He finished that part off and signed his name, and with that, he was done.

"Alright, thanks." Taro called to the receptionist, pocketing the pen and running out the door.
He should just make it in time to go there and then get back and then get to work, but it he might be late... Taro pulled out his phone and tapped out a quick text to Kanako, who was pretty much his only friend.

To: Kanako the co-worker
Subject: I might be late
------------------------
Yeah, I might be late to work today, but I probably won't be. I won't be if I sprint, anyway.

But anyway, if I am late, then tell the boss that I was joining the enforcers and that he's a shitty boss so why would I want to see his face.

Ok, right, I'm joining the enforcers by the way for friendship and money.
Taro

With that, he put his phone back in his pocket and sprinted to the main office.
___________________________________________

Some time later, Taro burst through the sliding doors of the enforcer main office, coming to an abrupt stop in front of the reception desk.
"Ugh. Hi." Taro said, panting.
The receptionist was kind of looking at him funny so he pulled out his paperwork and put it on the table.
"I'd like to join the enforcers please." Taro said, smiling to seem friendly, though it was likely he just came off as weird.

Aya gave a long winded sigh of relief, the Irish man unknowingly saving himself from destruction. In Aya's eyes, here was someone who was finally being helpful... or at least seemed to know what they were doing.

"Für die Liebe Got, Danke! Please, lead the vay. This is much to meine relief to finally be on the right track. Danke." she said, trying not to let the exhaustion get to her yet. "Ich muss nur noch in mein Zimmer zu bekommen...." she thought to herself, composing her mind and focusing on getting to her dorm.

"Uh my German is not all that good lass and by not good I mean nonexistent. So for my sake can we stick to English?" Mikhail said after the girl's outburst, he wasn't one for lots of energy especially when the energy was in a foreign language. He turned on his heels, which was quite the sight with all the luggage that he had slug onto his back, and started to head towards one of the roads. "Yeah the dorms are actually pretty close all considering, it should be a straight shot once we get on this street-" The ginger lad started, but cut himself off when he was met by what sight waited for him around the corner. After making the turn the two were met by a sea of students as far as the eye could see stretching all the way down the road Mikhail had planed on using to lead the girl to her dorm. Of course the road would be blocked.... Damn my luck. He grumbled to himself as he looked haplessly at the crowd that blocked their way.

There he was! Kanako beamed at Airus, bouncing over to him as she exited her classroom. He seemed like a pretty nice guy, reasonably friendly and everything. And hey, he'd even waited to walk her there!

"Hey!" she sang. "Sorry. Hope you didn't wait too long. Let's go!"

Honestly, she was thrilled! Even if she did end up getting a field job, she was just… so excited! She was sick and tired of being helpless, and even if her power was next to useless… well. It was time she stopped moping about it, and started trying her best to improve herself! If Taro could do it, so could she!

As they walked, she fell into step with the Enforcer boy. She hadn't ever gotten his name, had she? Well, never mind-- she'd find out now! "So, um. My name's Sakihara Kanako!" she told him. "I'm a phaser, but it's more trouble than it's worth, honestly… I wish I could, like, phase through other people's attacks and walk through walls all the time and all that stuff, but I can't really control it! Uh, what's your name?"

Of course, Taro was naturally much more athletic than she was. But surely it didn't take that much athleticism to fire a gun?

Her phone buzzed, and she checked it hurriedly. When she read the incoming text message, she nearly dropped her phone in shock. Taro was joining the Enforcers too?!

After that, her enthusiasm for the whole Enforcer thing went pretty much through the roof. She was going to learn how to use a weapon, she was going to get paid a whole lot more, and hell, she'd even still get to see Taro!

Maybe they should both quit their jobs at the grocery store, then. Was it really still worth putting up with their awful boss?

Well, whatever. If Taro was going to keep his job at the store, then she would too, but otherwise, she thought might quit. It would certainly free up more time for Chiyo-chan, after all!

Erika sighed, she had been walking around all day. Giving the new students a tour of the island. Her feet were killing her, she was tired of talking, and it was pretty warm out. The glimmer of hope was, that their next destination was Al-Revis academy. She turned to the body of students, and puffed out her chest. "Alright everyone, we're moving on to Al-Revis Academy! Everyone follow me!" She shouted while gesturing. She then turned around and began to head off.

Meanwhile, a certain senior student was charged with keeping the group in line, and making sure no one sneaks off. Probably a job an enforcer could handle. But Al-Revis likes to govern their own affairs as much as they can handle. The tall dirty blonde haired man, with sharp gold eyes scanned the crowd for the hundredth time. Looking for someone to call out. He adjusted his glasses, as he spotted a group loitering near the dorms. "Hey, we're heading out to the academy get moving!" He called to them, they complied with his demands and took to the back of the crowd. But what he didn't know was that they had boxed in a certain Irish man, and German girl from escaping the crowd.

Airus smiled shrugging as he started to walk. "Not long, I'm Airus Delta. A phaser huh? That's pretty unique even for this place. You should be careful with that power, I know a couple of others with that power, maybe one them could teach you how master it?" He said yawning as he checked his phone, one his teachers had emailed his homework to him, great. Still he need to go prep for tomorrow with the tournament on they would start handing specialized devices for those who would compete and to the enforces to regulate them. Smokey gave a couple beeps as a polite greeting. "Sorry that's Smokey, my partner." He said a little embarrassed he'd forgotten him.

Airus watched her check her phone as well before he got a call from the office apparently another applicant would be waiting at the offices. As they entered the Enforcers compound they spotted Taro. "Yo! You my other trainee? You and Kanako follow me. I'll get you both in for the test. Once that's done I'll put in your scores and we can find out if you make or not plus what position you'll be in." He said matter of fact. Smokey had disappeared once they entered heading over to his recharge station.

"Oh, wait, what about my paperwork?." Taro said as Airus walked in.
He quickly fell into step behind Kanako, slightly confused but also somewhat pleased. What was the point of doing paperwork if they weren't going to use it? Actually, they'd probably process it later, but still.

At any rate, it was good that he didn't have to wait very long. It was also good that Kanako was already here, and his fears had been put to rest. They did have an interview of sorts, so they weren't that shady after all! And besides, if Taro was late, Kanako would also probably be late which wasn't exactly a good thing, but he'd have back up if he had to face the boss, so that was good.
"Pst. Kanako." Taro whispered. "If we're both late, we have to face the boss together!"
