Harvey Dent

Alignment:
Lawful Good
Neutral Evil.

Affiliation:
Gotham City (District Attorney)
Gotham City PD
Gotham City's Socialites via Bruce Wayne
Nelson & Murdock, Attorneys at Law via Matthew Murdock

History:
Harvey Dent was born in Gotham to Harry Dent, a respected officer of Gotham City Police Department, and Lucy Dent, a middle school teacher. He was born five years after his brother, Murray Dent.

Murray was less than pleased with the new arrival. It took 5 years for his coldness to turn to cruelty, and he began engaging in abusive behavior away from the eyes of their parents. This quickly grew boring for Murray, and he became vindictive, physically assaulting Harvey. Most often, he used a coin that Harry had given him, a misprinted Silver Dollar with two 'face' sides - Murray would bait the young Harvey into believing that the coin was fair, and dictate that a 'tails' side would allow Harvey respite for the night - obviously, each game resulted in 'heads', and more abuse from Murray. Eventually, Harvey's injuries became obvious, and Murray's behavior was at least suspected, if not outright known. Murray was talked to quietly, given suggestion, sometimes separated from his brother - but ultimately, any public concerns were quelled, and Harvey's suffering was swept under the rug by way of his father's police connections.

Harvey was young, but he was angry. Angry at his powerlessness against his brother, angry at his parents - his supposed protectors - and their readiness to ignore his plight, angry at the injustice that even his young mind could understand was present. He repressed the anger, pushing it into a ball deep inside him, knowing such anger was useless in the face of his troubles. Eventually, the repression fractured Harvey's psyche, and formed a second personality inside his mind - a vindictive, aggressive personality, born of anger and persecution, desiring nothing but destruction and retribution. Harvey dubbed this personality 'The Hangman'. Harvey wrestled with this personality throughout his life, constantly keep control, but fighting for it every step of the way.

Murray Dent lived until fifteen. Shortly after Harvey's tenth birthday, Harry and Lucy Dent took several nights out to celebrate their twentieth anniversary, opportunities Murray did not pass on. Murray engaged Harvey in a game involving cloth ties and hot water, once again using the coin. Once again, Harvey was fighting for control over his own self. Harvey lost. The Hangman awakened.

At that point, Harvey's body was controlled by an engine of pure rage and punishment. The Hangman surprised Murray with his anger-fueled strength and speed, pulling free and overpowering Murray. A melee ensued - and in the fracas, the water Murray had been using was spilled, splashing over a mains plug. The sparks set alight to the sheets, and both Dent children found themselves in the midst of an inferno. The Hangman, rage spent, retreated, and Harvey came back, face to face with fire. Blinded by panic, Harvey ran, some abstract part of his mind drawing him to snatch up Murray's fallen Silver Dollar on the way out. Murray Dent lived until fifteen.

Life changed immediately. Harvey's mother, Lucy, left her job and went near-catatonic, never stepping out into public. Harvey's father, Harry, was stricken ill by grief, suffering a heart attack and retiring from the police force, using saved pay and a sizable pension to support his remaining family. He began to drink, resentment for his surviving son growing inside him as his shell-shocked mind started to blame Harvey for Murray's death. Harvey withdrew from his parents, feeling The Hangman more than ever after its first taste of control. He turned to the coin, kept secret from his parents, using it as a tool for repression - he would assign his control to the 'face' sides, much the same as Murray had assigned his, and flip it whenever he felt The Hangman press upon him, gaining resolve when the coin landed, always showing 'heads'.

Harvey came to be heavily interested - and personally invested - in the concept of Justice, coming to regard it as a cosmic force, a natural rule as much as gravity. He saw the fates of his family as examples that supported these beliefs, and began to see himself as an arbiter of that force. Entering high school at 14, he set himself as quickly as he could on a path that would head toward the world of Criminal Law.

Harvey did well at school. He took Crime&Punishment as extra credit and graduated with high honors, getting into the Columbia and then Harvard Law to study Criminal Law, Justice, and the Penal System, during which time he struck up a lasting friendship with Matthew Murdock, despite the distance between their cities. He worked hard, graduating with a promising future ahead of him. Harvey Dent began to practice law immediately, serving justice as best as he could in Gotham's courtrooms.

It was during university that Harvey tried to take control of his mind once again, and he sought psychiatric care. He found himself a patient of Gilda Vernon, a doctor of psychology and medicine who had set up her own office. Together, they began to effectively treat Harvey's psyche and other personality, and The Hangman's influence on him was weakening - though he still kept his silver dollar. However, Harvey soon found himself thinking too much of the intelligent, beautiful Gilda, and cut off their patient/doctor relationship - in favor of a romantic affair that quickly deepened in emotion. Harvey and Gilda were married in the first year of his practicing law, and they were happy.

It took two years of law in Gotham and avoiding the pockets of crime lords for Harvey to finally land the position of Gotham's District Attorney - and at 26 years old, he was the youngest the city had ever seen. He worked quickly to begin the war against Gotham's organised crime, and particularly Carmine Falcone, that Harvey had been planning since his graduation. They drew the attention of GCPD - mainly the corrupt majority of the force - but more importantly, James Gordon, an honest cop in a dishonest town. They began to work together, making fair headway in their mission - but eventually, hitting a block where the criminals they were after had hidden themselves behind the law.

It was the emergence of the enigmatic vigilante that became known as the Batman that proved a breakthrough in Dent and Gordon's efforts against the mob. While Gordon was adamant with the Batman's status as an outlaw, it came to light that this man was one they could trust - and Gordon and Dent eventually struck up an uneasy alliance with the vigilante, allowing them, through him, to fight Gotham's mafia in areas the law would have otherwise restricted them.

It took a year, but together, the three were a true threat to Falcone's empire. Their final breakthrough came about by Carmine's own hand, an orchestrated tragedy that was intended to scare Harvey off, but only galvanized him with fury: a hit upon his wife. With her gone, Harvey felt The Hangman more than ever, but able to retain control and channel his grief and anger into one last surge at his campaign - and he finally managed to charge Carmine and make it stick, sending the crime lord to Blackgate. Harvey, Gordon, and Batman had won - but Harvey was left wondering at what cost.

Now, Harvey fights Gotham's crime alongside Gordon and Batman, with his good friends Bruce Wayne and Matthew Murdock to support him, although he still feels he has only one true companion.
It's me.

Supporting Cast:
Bruce Wayne, trusted friend.
James Gordon, war comrade.
Matthew Murdock, uni buddy.
Batman, vigilante.
The Hangman.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:
Harvey's got a chopped-up backstory that lays the building blocks of the character while keeping him fresh and revitalized - although this is very much a pre-villain Dent.
I'm still here.

A.K.A. LOGAN

"Go ahead. Pull the trigger. But after you do, bub... Then you're mine."

(Marvel Comics Presents Vol 1 #1)

NAME
LOGAN (born James Howlett)

ALIGNMENT
‣ Chaotic/Neutral Good

AFFILIATION
‣ Alpha Flight
‣ Department H
‣ Weapon Plus (formerly)
‣ Team X (disbanded)

HISTORY
Logan's memory of events preceding 1999 are minimal at best; it fills me with surprise that he would be able to recount that which he already has - the extent of the period of time he spent in the wilderness could easily have driven a weaker man hideously, incurably mad. It is regretable to say we may never actualise an accurate picture of his whereabouts before this time. However, and with this in mind, here is an attempt at a history of the Wolverine:
- James MacDonald Hudson

SUPPORTING CAST
JAMES MACDONALD HUDSON - Wolverine's friend and handler at Department H, Hudson spends much of his time chiding his charge for his lack of cooperation and recklessness. Having taken Logan in during his time of need, he feels responsible for his reassimilation into society and his success at Department H. He is one of the chief minds behind Alpha flight, believing there to be a need for Canada to represent themselves on the world stage following the creation and success of the Justice League. He recommended Logan for leadership of the team. He is married to his colleague Heather Hudson.

HEATHER HUDSON - Heather played a significant role in nursing Logan back to health when her husband James returned home one night with a wild-man. The two share an unspoken attraction for each other, one that could threaten to destroy the two men's friendship were it acted upon. Heather works as a researcher for Department H, occasionally assisting Alpha Flight as Vindicator.

DEPARTMENT H - Headed up by a nameless director, Department H is a clandestine organisation, ran as a branch of the Canadian government. It's charged with superhuman peacekeeping in relation to Canada and their national interests. They are responsible for the formation of Alpha Flight.

ALPHA FLIGHT - Canada's premier superhero team:
Wolverine (Logan)
▹ Vindicator (Heather Hudson)
▹ Northstar (Jean-Paul Beaubier)
▹ Aurora (Jeanne-Marie Beaubier)
▹ Puck (Eugene Judd)
▹ Sasquatch (Walter Langkowski)

DIFFERENCE TO THE SOURCE MATERIAL
‣ The main difference between this take and the mainstream character is his continued employ under Department H and leadership of Alpha Flight. In this timeline, Professor Xavier never approached Wolverine with an offer to join a team of mutants to retrieve his X-Men from Krakoa, the Living Island. Logan never left Department H, never became an X-Man, never came to know and respect the man called Professor X. Wolverine will be trying his best to make good with his friends and teammates.

The New Frontier: DC/Marvel One Universe RP

Name: Bartholomew Henry Allen a.k.a. The Flash, Fastest Man Alive

Alignment: Lawful Good

Affiliation: The Justice League of America

History: Bartholomew Henry Allen was born to Nora and Henry Allen in the suburbs surrounding Central City, the larger of the so-called Gem Cities on the border of Missouri and Kansas. Barry grew up loving the old Invaders comic books that had been passed down from his grandfather from World War II. He idolized Captain America, the Green Lantern, the Flash, and all the rest. His biggest hero, though, was his father. Henry worked as a detective with the Central City police force and was close with his sergeant, Darryl Frye.

One night, just after he had been tucked into bed, Barry heard a crash and a scream from downstairs. Curious, the young boy hopped out of bed and wandered over to the railing by the stairs. There, he saw a flash of yellow circling his mother. Before he could realize what was happening, the flash was gone, and Nora Allen was lying in a puddle of blood on the ground. The police came and arrested Henry for the murder of his wife. Sergeant Frye -- one of Henry's few supporters -- took in Barry and became his legal guardian. Barry knew his father was innocent, but he couldn't prove it. The incident would inspire him to study forensic science.

After graduating with honors from Central City University, Barry was appointed by Darryl Frye -- now Captain in the CCPD -- to the Crime Lab. There, he worked tirelessly to solve crimes and exonerate innocent victims. While working late one night during a thunderstorm, Barry was struck by a bolt of lightning while trying to clean up a chemical spill. The resulting reaction witnessed the birth of the Speed Force, a quantum energy field which saturated Barry's cells. Barry was amazed to find the next day that he had gained the powers of superspeed. He contacted one of Mercury Labs' top scientists, Harrison Wells, for help with his condition. Together, they developed a special suit which could withstand Barry's incredible speed.

Though Wells was interested in Barry's speed purely as a scientific endeavor, Barry saw the possibility that he could use his newfound powers to effect real change in his city as a force for good. Adopting the moniker and styling of one of the famed Invaders, Barry became the Gem Cities' Scarlet Speedster, the Flash. His influence extended far beyond Central City and Keystone, though, and when the call came from a childhood hero to join the Justice League of America, Flash was quick to answer. He now shares his time between protecting his city and saving the world.

Supporting Cast: Barry's closest friend in the world is Iris West; incidentally, he's also had a huge crush on her since their time in college together. His roommate is Vin Gonzales, an officer with the CCPD. As a matter of fact, most of Barry's friends come from work. His adoptive father, Darryl Frye, is a Captain and got Barry his job as a CSI tech. Barry's also close with James Forrest, the Crime Lab's DNA analyst, and has an ongoing flirtation with his coworker Carlie Cooper. Not everyone at the Crime Lab is Barry's biggest fan, though. His boss, Director David Singh, views Barry as a slacker and a nepotism hire. Barry's sole confidant in his superheroing endeavor is Harrison Wells, a respected if distant scientist at Mercury Labs.

In the course of his activities as the Flash, Barry has also racked up quite the list of people who want him dead. Among them: Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold, Michelle Rory a.k.a. Heatwave, and Maxwell Dillon a.k.a. Electro. Ever more are coming out of the woodwork to challenge the Fastest Man Alive, and he'll need to always stay a step ahead if he wants to survive.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?: As I said with my Spider-Man application, I'm less concerned with reinventing these characters -- after all, they've endured for decades, so clearly they don't need our help -- and more interested in getting to see team-ups, interactions, and fights that before now were not possible. There are some great Marvel villains who would make formidable foes for the Scarlet Speedster, and I intend to have fun with that. I also want to see Barry interacting with some of the Marvel heroes.

But he thinks he'd blow our minds”

IDENTITY:
The Mad Titan, Master, Masterlord, Overmaster, All-Father, Thanos

ALIGNMENT:
Neutral Evil

AFFILIATION:
The one where everyone dies

HISTORY:
There are villains and heroes in the universe, avatars of good and evil, law and chaos, liberty and oppression. They fight in not just battles of physical prowess but representative of these ideals themselves. And then there are other things, forces that move beyond normal compheresion, forces that considered the lives of men to be as insignificant as grains of sand. There are heroes, there are villains, and then there is Thanos.

Thaons was born on the moon of Titan to Scientist and statesmen A'Lars as one of the Eternals. Much like the Kryptoians these seemingly human beings where actually far from it in there case they where the product of an ancient and powerful race simply as the Celestials who were responsible for many key genetic divergence in humanity and to those that know of their existence it is hypothesized that they are the reason for the appearnce of 'superpowers' on Earth. Born with skin of ash and the body of a Giant, Thaons was always different form the other Titans. Because of these oddities about him the other children began to avoid him and thus a long life of isolation began for the Titan.

Despite this fact Thanos had a brilliant mind for schooling. He seemed to learn at an accelerated right even among his Eternal peers and took to learning everything he could about the world. While his success only made others continue to make fun of him and look down upon him, he continued and his teachers and tutors encouraged him forward. It was in his personal studies that he became fascinated with the idea of Death and what lies beyond it. A fascination which would turn into a deep affection later in life when he met the Endless that was one of many personification of Death in the Universe, the pale black haired woman who he would send thousands of souls to in an ill fated attempt to gain her affection.

As Thanos grew he grew tired of those that considered him to be a freak and worked to channel his power. Through us of bionic implants and hours open end of mediation and training the titian was able to master the powers that the Celestials had given the Eternals and became the strongest of their kind if not one of the strongest creatures in the known universe. With these new found power he sought the respect that he believed he had earned through might. But as it turned out those that once scorened him now called him a monster and feared him. He find no respect and he find no power among his people. Unless he took it.

Disgruntled, tired and filled with unbridled rage and after a failed attempt on A'Lars part to talk him down he stole a ship and fled to the outreaches of the galaxy. It was here that Thanos had found a place that respected his skill. After liberating the prisoners held by the Nova Corps, Thanos started to make a name for himself as a leader and a warlord. Cutthroats and savages flocked to the Titan's banner and soon the man had a fleet and army to his name. With this force and his own immense power he lead them back to the moon of Titan where he proceeded to wage genocidal war against his own people. After two weeks of nuclear bombardment, he personally lead his ground troops crushing any resistance that the Eternals put up and soon named himself Lord of Titan. Some Eternals where able to flee across the cosomos like his own father A'lars and some would join Thanos ranks as his lieutenants and generals but many more would die under the hand of their scorned son.

But like all with power, Thanos soon desired more and his fleet of criminals where bloodthirsty and ready for more. So he turned his forces out into the greater galaxy, they raided planets and killed many who resited their role though some proved successful such as the powerful ruler of Apokolips Darkseid, who manged to resit Thanos army and thus was spared from the Mad Titan's worth do to his skill in battle. But this wave of terror was far from the reaches of the men and women of earth with only members of the greater galaxy and peacekeepers such as the Nova Corps and the Green Lanterns were aware of the threat and even with some attempts to stop the Titan his path of warfare and vengence continued. He would rule it all. All would realize Thanos was all powerful.

Thanos's path of bloodshed continues across the greater galaxy and his war never seems to stop. Though recent events have begun to catch the eye of the Titan. One was in the borders of those that were forced into submission of the Mad God where whispers of a force known as the Dominators beings with great scientific power whom the Titan consider to be cowards to hide behind technology. But ever still this encroaching force has begun to put heads with Thanos's forces and war has begun to brew.

And beyond that closer to his capital and home world of Titan is the little blue speck know as Earth. Thanos never considered it more than a distraction for apes. He put no thought into the world, for they where weak and he could crush them with a flick of his finger if he wished. But his spies tell him something new, reports of a new batch of humans. Humans with special abilities and skills that made them great warriors. Names like Superman, the Hulk, among others. Fighters of great skill and strength. He would need to test those rumors eventually, to put their merit in battle to a test. A test of blood and death. Thanos would have to come to this planet known as Earth. And he would have to kill them all.

SUPPORTING CAST:
Thanos does not have allies. There are only those who are dead and those soon to be dead. But some of these useless meatsacks of note are.

The Green Latern Corps:
Thanos' armies and many different members of the Green Lantern Corps have clashed due to Thanos's campaigns of death and destruction. Though few of the Corps have actually ever seen the man himself only his armies and those that fight in his name. It's probably better for them that they never did.

The Nova Corps:
Like the Green Latern Corps, the Nova Corps had also had encounters with Thanos and his forces of destruction. They are usually on the losing side of bitter and long fighting as they fight against a monster who's men care little for death and will throw thousands against defenses and fortifications to kill those laying behind them. Though among them one Richard Rider holds a surprising amount of courage and ability managing to even beat back the Titan's forces at times.

Alien Alliance:
The conglomeration of far spread Alien Races lead by the Dominators that wish to take control of the Galaxy and divide it among themselves. Thanos of course will have none of this, as he is the true ruler of all that lives and will crush all those that try and oppose that rule. Thus a war is brewing between the Alience and Thanos.

Drax the Destroyer:
A mysterious and blood thirsty warrior out to kill Thanos for revenge. He has not succeeded as of yet.

The Superman:
Thanos' spies speak of this last son of Krypton, one of the most powerful beings all of the universe. Thanos seeks to test these claims.

Gamora and Nebula:
Adopted daughters of the Thanos they serve as his war maidens and assassins. There loyalty is unwavering or so the Mad Titan believes.

Death
One of the many personification of Death in the Universe and a member of the Endless. Having falling for her beauty and her compassion towards even a creature such as himself. He has tried to earn her favor through killing many and sending their souls her way. It's kind of a one sided thing really.
Earth
An insignificant blue marble. It will be crushed underneath his boot in time.

DIFFERENCE FROM SOURCE MATERIAL:
Death, destroyer, conquer, madman, world breaker, hero smasher. There are many names and titles that can be given to Thanos many of which are not undeserved. I would draw this version of him more akin to someone in History like Napoleon, Genghis Khan, or Attila the Hun a ruler that rules through military prowess and ability rather than cheap gimmicks or whispers of an ancient time. Because of this Thanos will care a lot less about those fancy little Infinity Stones than some of his other incarnations. I'm aiming to show him with more depth as a character as he fights his own war against like everyone in Space xD and I also wish to use him as looming threat for our heroes. A sign of sorts that there are more troubling things in the universe for them to deal with than their own arguments of politics. Because when he comes knocking, well bad things tend to follow.

This version of Lex is born in Metropolis itself instead of his normal early origin of Kansas. Other than that he is still pretty much the same guy. Well except for the fact that he created the Justice League.

The New Frontier: A DC/Marvel One Universe RP

Reed Richards - Mr. Fantastic
Susan Storm - The Invisible Woman
Johnny Storm - The Human Torch
Ben Grimm - The Thing

The Fantastic Four
Lawful Good

"What gives this family its purpose and its joy isn't the destination - it's the journey."
-- Reed Richards.

History:

Reed Richards was a child genius. The child genius. He cracked inter-dimensional travel before he'd graduated from high school. That's not to say that high school was any easier for Reed than anybody else. Without the protection of Benjamin Grimm he would never have made it through. Ben Grimm was from the wrong side of the tracks, growing up on Yancy Street in New York, and rarely attended his classes through high school because he had a college budding football career waiting for him. When an injury cut that short he opted for the United States Air Force instead. The Air Forced turned Grimm from a boy into a man and taught him discipline. For Sue Storm discipline had never been the problem - she had practically raised her brother Johnny after their mother had passed away and their father turned to drink. She too was an excellent student in her own right. Yet she spent most of her time trying to repair the damage her younger brother caused. Broken hearts, broken windows, and broken down cars were never far behind Johnny Storm. He seemed to have a knack for finding himself in bad situations.

And some might say that Reed's space expedition was one. Fortune would bring Reed, Ben, Johnny, and Sue on an explorative mission into space in search of the origin of a green meteor rock that SHIELD had uncovered. External pressure placed on Reed by Fury and SHIELD would lead to a miscalculation in the ship's outer coating and the four of them would be bombarded with cosmic rays that ought to have killed them. Instead the four of them developed incredible powers - Reed the ability to contort his body into any shape imaginable, Johnny literally became a Human Torch, Sue could turn invisible and project hard light construct, and Ben was gifted with incredible strength, though it came at great consequence. Though their ship was stranded in Space for what seemed like a few days, eighteen months passed on Earth and Fury was forced to resign for his part in the expedition.

Upon their return the four were kept under wraps by SHIELD for a time whilst their powers were tested and their radiation levels normalised. An attack on then President-elect would force SHIELD's hand into sending the four of them into the field. They would aid Superman and the others in the battle against Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants and in doing so find instant fame. "The Fantastic Four," they would be dubbed by the media, and from there on out the four of them would set about using their powers for good.

Supporting Cast:

The Spider-Men - Johnny considers Peter to be one of his closest friends, along with The Flash, and as such Peter is an honorary member of the Fantastic Four and is often present on their on-world adventures. Ben finds Peter's presence aggravating so now that there are two Spider-Men his patience is even shorter when the pair of them are around.

Nick Fury - Former Director of SHIELD. Fury was the one that signed off on Reed's space expedition. When Reed and co. disappeared Fury was forced to resign his position and went underground. It is unclear whether Fury is aware of their return given that nobody has heard from him since he resigned but Reed has an inkling that Fury is out there keeping busy.

The Justice League of America – The Fantastic Four work closely beside the Justice League. Though Reed and co. often adventure off world and in the Negative Zone, the two super teams run into one another in the field often enough. Reed is particularly intrigued by Lex’s intellect, Sue considers Captain Marvel to be an inspiration, Johnny is close friends with The Flash, whilst Ben is deeply suspicious of Lex and he and Thor have a friendly rivalry of sorts.

Professor Charles Xavier - A close personal friend of Reed Richards. Though Reed considers Tony Stark, Lex Luthor, and Bruce Wayne to be his intellectual rivals, it is Charles Xavier that he admires most of all the New Frontier world's visionaries. The Fantastic Four turn a blind eye to unregistered mutants in spite of the Kelly Act, due in part to Reed's admiration of Charles.

Dr. Doom - Reed's old colleague lab partner and his sworn enemy - therefore the sworn enemy of Sue, Johnny, and Ben by extension. Doom has recently become sovereign of Latveria and as such his attentions have been directed there, rather than exacting his revenge on Richards, and thus the team have had time to adventure, rather than fight off Doom-bots.

Annihilus - Ruler of the Negative Zone. The Fantastic Four bested him whilst adventuring there and ever since Annihilus has lusted after revenge. Unknown to the team, Annihilus is currently plotting his revenge, gathering troops, and planning an invasion of Frontier Earth.

How (if at all) does the Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:

It was on a SHIELD-sanctined space expedition that the Fantastic Four gained their powers. Outside of that, the team's origin is all but the same. There are no substantial changes to Reed, Johnny, Sue, or Ben. They may have slightly different friends (Johnny's friendship with the Flash, for one) but other than that not much has changed. At this point there is no Franklin or Valeria and though Reed and Sue are engaged Reed has pushed the wedding back so many times - all in the name of science, of course - that there are some that think the pair might never wed.

2009 Kurt's circus is bought by a wealthy Texas businessman. As such, the entire circus is moved to America to expand on the product. The quality of the show is dramatically decreased, the American public just wasn't as interested in the Circus as the Businessman had thought.

2010 In a last ditch effort to increase sales, the Texas businessman attempts to put Kurt on a nationwide "FreakShow". After Kurt declines the offer, he is drugged into submission by the businessman. Kurt awakens with a collar tied around his neck, and any attempt to teleport is met with a sudden electric charge strong enough to knock him unconscious.

2011 The "Freakshow" is on the road, traveling from city to city. Entertaining the mass of people that show up to see the "Blue Demon" or be met with a electric shock.

2013 Two years have passed since the show started, in the two year anniversary of the show the Businessman stumbles into Kurt's wagon drunk out of his mind. Not even able to form correct words correctly, forget sentences. Kurt takes advantage of the situation and after a brief encounter with the drunk man is able to free himself from his collar. Kurt immediately teleports as far as he can from the place, landing in a back alley where he sneaks through the streets of the city. Kurt had nothing to his name, and not knowing what city he was even in wasn't helping his cause. After a few hours of wandering, Kurt finds out he is currently in the city of "Philadelphia".

2013 While aimlessly wandering the streets, he walks by one of those gimmicky "TV STORES" that has all the TV's playing the same station at the same time.... On the TV Kurt see's a man in a Red,Blue and Yellow suit walk into a actual burning building. Before Kurt could even express his shock, the man walked out of the building with two small children. One in each arm, the man walks over to a weeping lady and sets the kids down next to her. The kids instantly hug the lady, and the lady instantly hugged back. The Red,Yellow and Blue man FLEW off the camera and into the sky. The headline was "Superhero: Superman saves two children from burning house."

2013 Now.. Kurt didn't know a whole lot of English, but he knew enough to make out the headline. Kurt was instantly fascinated, and further research on the topic showed that there were a bunch of these "SuperHeroes" popping up all over the world. With no place to go, Kurt slept on the idea that was creeping in the back of his mind. The next day arrived, and Kurt awoke from his spot in the back alley. Kurt instantly felt his stomach almost cave in. He would've killed for his daily meal at the "Freakshow" right now, but he knew he would never go back. With no place to turn, Kurt delved into thievery. Not the Bank Heists ones, but the steal an entire meal from a chef in the kitchen while he isn't looking and teleport out of there type of theft.

2013 Kurt waited a week for his first opportunity to try this "Hero stuff". Kurt crept into the back alley he normally fell asleep at, when he was met with two thugs pushing a lady around.

"Yeah lady. You better be scared!" One of the thugs said, taunting the poor lady. "So.. You never answered our question lady. Whas' a pretty thing like you out in the streets at night huh'?" The other thug replied, inching closer to the lady, as he eyed her purse.

A sudden, Bamf!, was heard behind the men, but they didn't seem to hear it over their constant boasting and taunting of the lady. The lady did hear it though, and her eyes grew wide as she saw Kurt's face. His glowing yellow eyes, his small fang that came out from the top of his mouth as he grinned from behind the men. The lady gave out a terrified shriek, louder than any scream Kurt has ever heard. "Whoa! Whoa! Lady! We said NO screaming!" The thug on the right said as he ran up to her, putting his hand over her mouth.

Kurt took the opportunity to grab the other thug standing still around the neck with his tail. The thugs muffled scream was drowned out from the lady's higher pitched scream. Kurt pulled the man into the shadow, where he got him in a tight choke-hold. After a few brief seconds, the thugs muffled screams became fainter and fainter as he passed out from the lack of oxygen. Kurt laid the man on the floor as he made his way to the other man, still fighting to keep the Lady quiet.

The lady gave him a helluva fight, and that gave Kurt a great opportunity to do the same to the second thug as he did the other one. Kurt grabbed hold of the other Thugs neck with his forearm. The thug instantly let go of the lady's mouth and the Lady let out a loud shriek once more now that her mouth was free. Kurt thought he had the thug down, but the thug gave a swift elbow to the chest of Kurt. Momentarily knocking the wind out of him, Kurt stumbled back and before he could even look up the Thug was on top of him. Kurt and the Man wrestled for a bit, Kurt gaining the advantage due to his enhanced physical abilities. Kurt swung wildly at the mans face, connecting a couple good times. Sending the man off of him, Kurt got up to his feet first. While the man was on the ground, Kurt gave him a quick kick to the temple as the man was on all fours. The man crumpled under the kick, and was instantly sleeping. Kurt turned around to see the lady frozen in fear, instead of shrieking she was as silent as could be.

"Gehen Sie Startseite-Dame."1 was all Kurt could choke out, his adrenaline still pumping from the fight. He hadn't had this much excitement since his first days at the circus.

1: "Go home lady."

2013-Present Kurt had gained a reputation through the entire city. His nighttime antics had gave him several nicknames but the City decided upon the true name of Nightcrawler. Kurt finally had something to be proud about, his entire life had been a up and down rollercoaster but things seemed to be finally looking up for him.

Supporting Cast:

Margali Szardos - The foster mother of Kurt. Helped him through his circus acts, and helped form him into the man he is today.

Superman - The first superhero Kurt ever saw, instantly influencing himself into the same state of heroism that he is today. Not knowing him in any shape or form however, Kurt plans to meet him one day.

The Justice League of America - Kurt see's them all the time on the TV, Newspapers, Magazines. You name it, they are on it. An elite group of superheroes that Kurt idolizes in every way. The ultimate goal is to reach this pinnacle of "Awesomeness" as Kurt would call it.

Arnos Jardine - The Businessman that enslaved Kurt to his freakshow. Kurt has never seen the man again, but that doesn't mean Kurt hasn't been searching. The man has fell off the face of the earth.

Mystique - The TRUE mother of Kurt. Kurt doesn't know of her at all, believing Margali to be his true mother. Not even second guessing his true beginnings as Mystique's true son.

Azazel - The Father of Kurt. This demon mutant has been seen through the ages of time, being spotted from time to time. Maybe a bigger plan is being brewed as he patiently waits for the right moment.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:

Kurt does not join the X-men, and isn't near as religious as he is in the comics.

Kurt wanders the streets of Philadelphia, instead of his hometown in Germany.

He idolizes the Justice League heavily (which im pretty sure he doesn't in the comics)

Tony Stark and Reed Richards use their genius to save the world every other week. That's how they'll be remembered in history. Meanwhile, I – I who, forgive me, have just as much to contribute – will be lucky if my tombstone doesn't simply say "Hulk Smash."

Name: Doctor Robert "Bruce" Banner

Alignment: None

Affiliation: Chaotic Neutral

History:

Supporting Cast:

Allies:
 • Rick Jones: Rick was a good friend before the accident, and even owes Bruce his life. He's been a constant source of support to both Bruce and the Hulk. Wanting to help them find their place in the world.
 • Betty Ross: Love of Bruce Banners life. He hasn't seen her since the accident...

Known entities:
 • Captain America: Captain America is what Bruce was trying to replocate. It just... went wrong.
 • Superman: Who doesn't know Superman? Bruce has thought about going to him on occasion. Though has avoided it, he isn't quite sure how the super hero would react.
 • Reed Richards: He followed Reeds work closely through the year, and they had the occasional correspondence. He wouldn't quite consider him a friend, but if he needed help Bruce would ask him. He'd also respond to a call for help from him.
 • Tony Stark: There's a bit of contempt for Stark. Also a child prodigy but born with a silver spoon in his mouth, got everything he ever wanted and more.

Enemies
 • Gen.T.E.Ross: Father of Betty, military General who has worked closely with LexCorp in trying to bring the Hulk down.
 • Lex Luthor: Lex seems to view Hulk as his property, either that or really liked the labs at Vista Verde...
 • Abomination: While Abomination has been apprehended - for now, he's still a serious fault and his existence is his fault.
 • Samual Sterns: Bruce knows that Sterns betrayed him. Though he isn't quite sure how deep this wound goes, or what the reprecussions of their previous encounters could lead too...

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:

I love the Hulk, and Bruce. I love their dynamic and relationship, I don't want to change that. At most I'll be displaying a more comicy/cartoony approach to Hulk and Bruces relationships than the one shown in the MCU.

Post References:

Two comic related examples then a third non-comic related.

Whether he’s sabotaging evil operations by the day’s light
Or safeguarding Appleton by night
He may be assaulting thugs
Or abusing drugs
If you should spot flashes of blue and red
You may wish you were dealing with a fed

Name:
Richard “Rick” Tyler; AKA Hourman

Alignment:
Neutral Good

History:
1990 - Richard Tyler was born.

1994 - Doctor Rex Tyler and a select group of pharmaceutical engineers are hired by an independent developer to be Team Miraclo. The objective was to create the ultimate fast-acting steroid that would revolutionize manufacturing.

1998 - Miraclo Version 1 is completed. The team observes that it truly lives up to the objective of creating a fast-acting steroid. Patients display heightened strength, superior reflexes, greater cognitive function, and an enhanced equilibrium. The temporary effects burnt off roughly after half an hour and were seen to be addictive.

1999 - It was statistically established that the constant use of Miraclo causes muscular degeneration and the weakening of bones. A recommendation was made to use it only once a day, if that often.

2001 - The entire staff of Team Miraclo is laid off, right when they were about to conclude trials for Miraclo V 2. Miraclo V 2 had very different side effects for those with frequent usage. Specifically, it seemed to cause shrinkage in male genitalia, a slow and steady decrease in intelligence, and occasional bouts of sleepiness.

2001 - The United States Government classifies all documentation of Miraclo.

2002 - Rex Tyler continues his research from memory before finally creating Miraclo V 3. Because of the lack of traditional support, he decided to test it on himself. Amazingly, the effects extended to the length of an hour’s time. Afterward though, Tyler noted a feeling of decreased focus.

2003 - Rex began patrolling the streets of his home, Appleton City, picking fights with junkies, petty criminals, and anyone he happened to catch in the act of a misdemeanor. Over time, he refined his art and targeted more serious crimes. He took up the alias Hourman.

2008 - With his family’s finances in ruins, Rex was forced to find a full time job when he found that his son, Richard (now known as Rick), had grown up before he had an opportunity to notice.

2009 - Rick prepares to go to college, but before he has the chance to leave his dad offers him Miraclo. Realizing what the pill did to his father, Rick silently chooses to abstain for the most part.

2012 - Not finding a lot of meaningful activities at college, Rick decides to dip his toes in the past time of crime fighting. Rather than aimlessly patrolling the streets as his father had, he sets up an email address that he exclusively accessed on the deep web. By messaging Administrator@Hourman.net, any citizen was welcome to report a crime, suspicious activity or make a request for help.

2012 - Rick was contacted mostly with prank messages. Appointments were arranged where he was stood up, and occasionally he was tricked into trespassing before he began requiring proof of identity. Eventually though, he filed through the decreasing amounts of spam to find legitimate pleas. His first case was to run a squad of bikers out of a bar he was barely old enough to enter.

2013 - Rick Graduates college with a bachelor's degree in pharmacology.

2014 - Rick’s assistance was requested when various prominent citizens began going missing. From the mayor to kids to police officers to musicians. Missing persons were reported everywhere. In their place were wax sculptures that seemed lifelike. The papers called him the Wax Killer. Rick stormed into his lair and captured him after he received an anonymous tip via his email. Afterwards, the Wax Killer was arrested by the police, who were initially hesitant about working with a “vigilante”, but most of the rookies got over it quickly before honorarily welcoming him to the police force.

Present - Rick “Hourman” Tyler supports the police force of Appleton City and meets the concerns of individual citizens while maintaining a relatively secret identity and working as an auto mechanic part time.

Supporting Cast:
Dr Mid Nite - Cross
Hourman (I) - Tyler, Sr
Sandman - Dodds

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:
I think for the most part I've just updated the original Pre-Crisis version so that he's not too terribly old. Also, the concept of the email location comes from the fact that the original Adventures Comics stories featured Rex Tyler receiving letters at a mailing address. I was unsure about the origins of the pill Miraclo, so I filled it in as best I could.

Post References:

Also:
Appleton is West of the NYC, is not quite a neighboring city, but is close enough to conveniently travel to the big Apple.

Because Hourman doesn't seem to have a lot of related characters, I would like permission to make some of my own assuming I meet the following conditions as outlined in a previous, though unrelated, conversation:

I've created quite a few, I wouldn't go so far to call them original characters, but people who don't exist in the canon before hand. The rules I usually use are:

1. They can't be a superhero or a supervillain, and have to have as little or no affiliation to another character besides my own.

2. They have to fill a role that no already established character can fill. Why give Batman another police ally when Jim Gordon is the bomb and the only one he needs. Same with an Alfred or Lucius Fox type character. Now, if you wanted to create a Jim Gordon like character for someone like Daredevil who never really has had someone like that, then go ahead and just make someone. This same principle applies to villains, especially a villain you want to kill off. You kind of have to create bad guys if you want to play the Punisher because... damn.

3. Make them expendable. Not necessarily someone who can be killed off, but someone who isn't so entangled in the character's life that if another player picks them up they can't explain the character's absence without it seeming like they're getting put on a bus. (Comics writers are plenty guilty of this one... *cough* Milla Donovan.)
Byrd Man

I don't intend to create the Justice Society at this moment at all. But I do intend to guest feature some of it's members on occasion

Name: Mystique / Raven Darkholme

Alignment: Walks the line/ Lawful evil

Affiliation: Self. Brotherhood.

History:

Raven Darkholme, otherwise known as Mystique, has a very convoluted history about which very little is known, the exception being that she is over a century old and was most likely born somewhere in Austria.

She is a mutant with the ability to shapeshift with enhanced agility, elasticity, healing and stamina. A headstrong emotional force that seems to change her allegiances regularly, mainly centering on how current allies will benefit her and her immediate cause.

Whilst working as a mercenary, circumstances led Raven to an important figure in Wolverine's past, Victor Creed. It was on this mission she met Sabertooth. During their time together, unbeknownst to Sabretooth, they conceived a child - Graydon Creed. Raven immediately gave the child up for adoption, although she still kept track of him until he hit adolescence when it became apparent that he was not a mutant.

After years of affiliation with Professor Xavier, Mystique would decide to part ways with him after he announces the existence of mutants to the United Nations. Mystique believing he was putting Mutants at risk, believing they would become hunted rejects of society. Again acting on heat of the moment emotions based in her own insecurities.

After leaving in 2012 Mystique located her son Graydon Creed, whom she'd been keeping tabs on due to her guilt of abandonment. Upon finding him and revealing his heritage to two mutants her son rejects the news and begins to insight hate campaigns and riots against all mutants. He then went on to form The Friends of Humanity.

When the Kelly act is passed in Congress, this is when Mystique endeavors to reform the Brotherhood in Magneto's absence. She does with close aide of Pyro, Avalanche and Rose Wilson. After the failed attack on President Kelly, Graydon Creed uses this to rally more support for his cause, which in turn angers Mystiques and enhances the work of the brotherhood, gaining more mutant supporters alongside other villains who see the brotherhood as a rising power against the JLA.

At this point Mystique has concealed her mutant abilities so well that she is able to work for the United States Civil Service and eventually work her way up to the trusted position of Deputy Director of the Defense Advanced Research Planning Agency (DARPA) in the United States Department of Defense, giving her access to military secrets and advanced weaponry, both of which she used for her own criminal and subversive purposes. In order to help further her terrorist activities.

Supporting Cast:

Graydon Creed – Son of Sabretooth and Mystique, Graydon Creed developed a deep hatred of mutants due to both his parents abandoning him as a child after he was born human. As he grew older, he became a member of anti-mutant hate group Friends of Humanity and has affiliation with the Purifiers.

Avalanche - Has the ability to create vibratory waves that affects inorganic matter.

Rose Wilson – Precognitive abilities, escape artist, swordsmanships, stealth. Mystique has taken her under her wing as an adoptive daughter of sorts.

Pyro – Psionic ability to manipulate flame. Fiercely loyal to Mystique and the Brotherhood's cause.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:

Mystique's causes will change throughout my plans for the story as they tend to in her comic appearances, however her main cause will be the hunt of her son. Also progressing on how the Brotherhood can affect the progression of the JLA, with a personal vendetta forming against Captain Marvel. So the differences are mostly circumstantial to the world at hand rather than intrinsic changes to the characters resolve or personality.

Graydon's character is different in that he has not risen to any form of official political power, and his death delayed at this juncture.

Rose Wilson will essentially both be taking the place of Rogue in Mystiques life, an adoptive daughter than begins to challenge her moral compass. Rose will also be of use where Destiny was previously a huge part of Mystiques life, as she too has precognitive abilities. Also lower level DC villains are planned to make an appearance with both the Brotherhood and Purifiers.

You called me a villain. Never thought of myself as that. I'm a mercenary. A soldier for hire.

Name:
Slade Wilson

Alignment:
Lawful Evil

Affiliation:
The Highest Bidder
His Family

History:
Slade Wilson has always been a warrior.

As a child, Slade had a reputation for fighting bullies. But he never did it to help those in need. No, Slade fought for the sake of fighting. He loved everything about it: the adrenaline, the satisfaction of a landed punch and even the pain of getting his teeth knocked out. It was a common sight to see little Slade walk into the house with a black eye and bruised ribs. Mrs. Wilson worried for the boy; he never told her where he'd gotten the scars or what he had been up to. She thought he was the target of one of the local gangs. Mr. Wilson, however, suspected his son was getting into trouble with the law. One night Slade came home, more beaten than usual. His mother was out with her friends and his father had been hitting the bottle pretty hard. Daddy decided to finally teach his boy a lesson in respect. The following brawl was less of a fight and more of a straight beating. Leaving his father half dead, Slade chose to pack his things and run from home.

Slade joined the army at the age of sixteen, having faked his enlistment forms with the help of a local forger. He soon showed talent in guerrilla warfare far superior to that of any other soldier in the army and swiftly rose up the ranks. After a while his outstanding reputation landed him under the tutelage of Adeline Kane, an instructor who became one of his superiors and whom he eventually befriended. Slade trained under his commanding officer and demonstrated he was an expert in combat and had impressive talents and skills. It wasn't long before Kane recommended Slade be transferred to SHIELD's top black ops unit, known simply as Team 7. The woman in charge took one glance at the man's record and brought him into SHIELD. His integration into the organization took some time, but once everything was ironed out Slade proved to be worth the trouble. It was during his two tours on Team 7 that prepared Slade for his eventual role as the Terminator. The team battled cartels, warlords, rebels, monsters and gods on a regular basis. They performed the impossible. Slade was known for his ruthless behavior and his unwavering willpower; whenever something unspeakable needed to be done, SHIELD called on Slade Wilson to do it.

Decades went by. Slade mastered several martial arts and combat styles, and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He began a romantic relationship with Adeline Kane and had a son with her. After Grant Wilson's birth, Slade was asked by SHIELD if he wanted to volunteer for a dangerous scientific experiment. Amanda Waller wanted to create another Super Soldier, akin to Steve Rogers AKA Captain America. Slade accepted. body reacted violently to the experiment, it made him aggressive and enraged, and he needed to remain sedated and bedridden through the birth of his second son Joseph Wilson. Only later would Slade discover that the experiment had worked and actually enhanced his strength, speed, senses, stamina, intellect and reflexes beyond that of any ordinary man.

The Lieutenant Colonel's new found powers proved to be more of a hamper than a boon. He was forced to become a lab rat and work a desk job for nine months, all the while being told that he'd get to go back out into the field any day now. Slade's stress and anxiety built, augmented by the aggression the serum was feeding him. It all came to a head when Slade discovered that his long time friend and Team 7 colleague, William "Billy" Wintergreen, had been captured. SHIELD refused to go in after him, citing the extreme risk to local civilians and whatever agents they sent in. Slade decided to take matters into his own hands. He stole an experiment suit of Nth metal armor and a jet, and went off to rescue Wintergreen on his own. In the end he saved Wintergreen, but was discharged from SHIELD for disobeying orders. Slade decided this was for the best. Fed up with the military and its code of blind loyalty, Slade created the costumed persona of Deathstroke the Terminator, the greatest mercenary the world would ever know. He went on to travel the world and train under the greatest martial artists and strategists alive.

Supporting Cast:
Adeline Kane Wilson: Adeline was a US Army squadron leader who was tasked with training soldiers who would later join a Special Forces unit named Team-7. One of these soldiers, was Slade Wilson who after a near-death experience fell in love with Adeline and got married. In subsequent years, she became a the mother of 3 children: Grant, Jericho, and Rose Wilson. She currently is divorced and working at SHIELD.

Grant Wilson - Ravager: Grant is the eldest son of Adeline and Slade Wilson, and the first Ravager. Grant was given his powers by the organization known as HIVE, and tasked with the duty to assassinate a number of teen sidekicks who had been causing them strife. After failing to kill Spider-Man, Grant disappeared and was presumed dead.

Joseph Wilson - Jericho: The son of Deathstroke and Adeline Kane, Joseph Wilson is able to control people's bodies through eye contact. Joseph attempted to use his powers for good as the vigilante Jericho, but through a series of unfortunate events found himself spiraling into madness. Jericho blames his father for his mental illness, and seeks revenge against Deathstroke and the rest of his family for the pain Slade has wrought.

Lilian Worth: A few years after his divorce from Adeline Kane, Slade Wilson took a search-and-rescue mission under contract. Slade met Lillian "Sweet-Lilli" Worth, an Oriental clan princess whose life fell in ruins after her kingdom was destroyed by a war in the Far East. It was Slade's mission to bring Lilli from war-torn Cambodia to Thailand, where she would have relative freedom. The mission proved to be successful; along the way, Slade and Lilian grew quite fond of each other and eventually developed a romantic relationship. Their on and off affair resulted in the birth of Rose Wilson.

Rose Wilson: Daughter of Slade Wilson and Lilian Worth. Lillian kept Rose a secret from Slade, rationalizing it was in the child's best interest to do so. Lillian eventually settled outside New York City, where she established a sex trafficking ring and lived in luxury. Despite the environment, Rose was raised with other children her age and was schooled by private tutors. She not only received a happy childhood, but was also taught how to defend herself.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:

I've combined bits and pieces from his New 52 and Pre-Flashpoint origins and integrated the character into the merged universe setting. I also added the bit about his early child and abusive father, because I was feeling a bit cliche. Other than that, this is the same old Deathstroke we know and love.

Name: Johnny Blaze, The Ghost Rider, Spirit of Vengeance

Alignment: Neutral Good

Affiliation: Shadowpact

History:
John Blaze was born into a world of motorcycle grease and cheering crowds. The son of Barton Blaze and Naomi Kale, Johnny spent his early years in the Quentin Carnival, where his parents starred in a stunt show with Craig "Crash" Simpson. His idyllic home life ended abruptly, however, when Naomi abandoned John, taking his younger siblings - Barbara and Daniel - with her. Naomi's decision to leave had been difficult, but she felt it was necessary "because of the family curse."

Crash figured Johnny's mother was just nuts, and officially adopted the boy. Unaware of the mystical forces swirling around him, John followed the Simpsons into their own traveling stunt show - the Crash Simpson Stunt Cycle Extravaganza. Crash had become a true father figure to Johnny by this time, teaching him how to ride in the hopes that the younger man might eventually succeed him as the star of the show. This dream came to a fiery end when Johnny was fifteen. While practicing a dangerous stunt, Johnny was nearly killed and Mona Simpson was mortally wounded. When Mona asked John on her deathbed to quit riding, he swore to her that he would.

Over the next five years, Johnny's relationship with Crash deteriorated as John refused to take part in the show. Not understanding John's motivations, Crash grew increasingly frustrated, even accusing his adopted son of cowardice; however, John continued to practice at night, honing his skills until he surpassed his mentor. He had another secret, too: he and Roxanne had become lovers. When Crash revealed he was dying of cancer, he asked Johnny once more to take over the show, but Johnny refused despite Roxanne's disappointment. Distraught, John turned to the occult in search of answers. His studies ultimately led to a spell that supposedly could summon Satan himself. John didn't realize it, but the entity he summoned was actually Mephisto. The demon offered to cure Crash's cancer in exchange for Johnny's servitude.

Mephisto then cured Crash of his cancer in return for Johnny's promise of servitude. Crash died almost immediately afterwards, however, in a failed attempt to set a world's record by jumping over 22 cars. Despairing over the loss of his adopted father, Johnny attempted - and made - the jump himself, seeking to honor Crash's memory. Johnny was still at Mephisto's mercy, though, and would have lost his soul outright if not for the heroic intervention of Roxanne, who proclaimed her love for Johnny and drove the demon away with the purity of her emotion (though Mephisto would return).

One night after Crash's death, Johnny found himself transformed into a skeletal being with a flaming skull. Fearing at first that this demonic form was a manifestation of his own evil side, he soon realized that he had bonded with some wholly separate entity. Transforming nightly into a fiendish figure with a blazing skull, John became involved with a local motorcycle gang, Satan's Servants. Their leader, Curly Samuels, had gained the fiend's trust, until a shocked John discovered that the soul of Crash Simpson lurked within Curly's form. Mephisto had offered Crash a new life in exchange for betraying his adopted son, and Crash had eagerly accepted. Johnny was cast into Hell, where he managed to reawaken Crash's sense of honor and love. The older man sacrificed himself to help Johnny escape, making him promise to protect Roxanne- and providing Johnny with greater control over his demonic alter ego.

Now, Johnny has taken to the streets to protect Roxanne, the Quentin Carnival, and the innocent people of the nation from threats- infernal, criminal, or monstrous. Styling his alter ego after the countless urban legends of undead figures traveling the nation's highways and bringing Old Testament justice to evildoers, Johnny Blaze has become... The Ghost Rider. In the months since his heroic debut, Ghost Rider has run afoul of many criminals, not to mention demons, angels, and supernatural foes. Thankfully, he has joined up with other supernatural heroes to form the Shadowpact, in order to stay afloat in the increasingly madcap world he finds himself in.

Supporting Cast:
Quentin Carnival: The circus where Johnny was born and raised.
The Spirits of Vengeance: The other Ghost Riders, usually written off as urban legends. There seems to be one for each nation, and in some parts of the world, multiple Ghost Riders.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?: From the start, there's the spirits of Vengeance which inspired Johnny's identity. These are the other Ghost Riders, which could be used for storylines down the road. We've also got villains from across Danny Ketch, Johnny Blaze, and Noble Kale's runs as the featured Ghost Riders. Oh, and membership in the Shadowpact.

Anthony Edward Stark AKA Iron Man
The Merchant of Death

Alignment:
Chaotic Good

Affiliation:
Stark Industries

History:
Tony was born to the founder of Stark Industries, Howard Anthony Walter Stark and his wife Maria, the couples first and only son. As Tony grew it quickly became apparent that he was a precociously intelligent child. His mother struggled to find any common ground with her child, while his alcoholic father, a man of advanced intellect himself, generally had very little time for Tony.

Tony had barely broached his teens when his mother, at wits end with how to deal with her increasingly distant and independent son, shipped him off to the prestigious Excelsior Academy, hoping that the opportunity to bond with his peers would help the gifted youth develop more age appropriate social skills. Things didn't go according to plan however, as Tony found people difficult to relate too, preferring by far to tinker with his inventions and machines than to fraternize with the likes of Alexander Luthor, Oliver Queen, or Bruce Wayne, his fellow students. However he stuck in with his schooling, enrolled a MIT in his mid-teens, and graduated at the top of his class at age 19 with double masters in physics and engineering.

He was twenty-one and working in the engineering department of Stark Industries when his mother and father died in a tragic car accident, leaving Tony head of an unparalleled mega-conglomerate that mostly manufactured weapons for the United States military. The business sector watched with keen eyes, eager to see what Stark's first move would be. It surprised most, to say the least. He purchased the manufacturer who designed his parents' car to have the faulty brake system, which was seemingly the cause of their deaths, redesigned in order to prevent any further incidents, before promoting his secretary, Virginia 'Pepper' Potts, to his executive assistant, and left the lion share of his new workload to her. Tony was generally uninterested in running a company, seeing it as a burden that he could now easily shirk.

For the next decade and a half Tony lived his life alternating between intense bouts of wild partying, followed by extended periods of monk-like isolation were he would feverishly work upon his next technological breakthrough. Stark Industries went through strength to strength during this period, especially after the company cemented a lucrative contracting deal with the American military.

It was during this time that, when asked for a theory to explain the appearances of extraordinarily powered beings cropping up across the globe, Tony first revealed his prototype powered exo-skeleton that would serve as the basis for what would one day become the Iron Man armour. It took the military world by storm, armchair generals and extremist revolutionary's alike thinking that Stark Industries had used technology to discover the natural heir to Dr Abraham Erskine's Super Soldier program. Tony was on the verge of mass producing the armor and selling it to the forces when fate intervened. Fate, and a man known simply as 'The Mandarin'.

Before making any more concrete plans or promises with the early armour technology, Tony traveled to Afghanistan on a prior commitment consulting with the American military about ways to use current arms-tech to supplement combat effectiveness while allowing the US to ship personnel home. He was off-base showcasing the newest batch of micromuntition landmines when his party was ambushed and overwhelmed by a group of men who appeared to be insurgents. Tony himself was knocked unconscious when his own landmines inadvertently exploded in the crossfire.

When he awoke things had taken a dire turn for him. He was prisoner in an enemy compound, hooked up to an array of medical equipment. It was his fellow captive, Ho Yinsen, that revealed to him what had happened, that in the explosion Tony had been hit in the chest by shrapnel, shrapnel that was now pressing upon his heart, threatening to kill him at any moment, and impossible to remove with the resources on hand. This, according to Yinsen, was a mixed blessing, as their captors, not insurgents at all but actually mercenaries working for a man referred to simply as 'The Mandarin' had taken Stark with the intention of forcing him to create weapons for them, and that the best thing Tony could do now was die before they could get what they wanted.

Tony refused to just roll over and die though. With Yinsens help he created a magnetic harness, designed to hold the shrapnel in his chest in place while he plotted an escape from captivity. After that he appeared to follow his captors orders implicitly, working feverishly upon a weapon that quickly became apparent as a suit of armour. If his jailers thought they had broken Tony though, then they were sorely mistaken, as instead of handing the suit over upon completion, he actual donned it himself to stage a daring breakout. After a vicious firefight he managed to escape, though not without cost. Yinsen fell in the conflict, a fact that still haunts Tony to this day.

Tony was found, sans armour, wandering the mountainous terrain of Arghanistan by Colonol James Rhodes, months after his initial capture, and was quickly flown home to the states. The first thing Tony did was to enlist the help of renowned surgeon, Dr Thomas Elliot, in removing the shrapnel from his chest. For several months after his operation he retreated from the public eye, no more than to be expected after his ordeal, but still the media, and more importantly the board of Stark Industries, was desperate for him to return to the land of the living. They didn't have to wait long, as in the tail end of 2012 he returned, announcing a press conference concerning his future, and the future of his company. There he made it clear that Stark Industries would no longer be involved with the weapons industry, and would instead be fixing it's attentions on 'saving the world'. While questioned on the sensibility of move by his board, especially for a company that's stocks had already plummeted during his incarceration, he was supported by many, especially Pepper.

Over the next couple of months Tony laid out plans for the future direction of his company, though mostly dealt with problems through Pepper as he was rarely seen himself, spending most of his time in his own personal workshop. Unbeknownst to the outside world Tony was working on a new suit of armour, armour that he vowed he would use in a quest for redemption for his past indiscretions, chief among them his years of war profiteering. In his initial outings he would focus on recovering any and all Stark based weaponary that had inardeventally ended up in the hands of those he deemed unfit to use them. Stark Industries had always kept to a policy of only dealing to the American military, but that didn't mean they're goods didn't end up in the hands of others. They'd just always turned a blind eye to it in the past. Now though, a Golden Avenger was taking all that ordinance back, dismantling the operations that held them in the process. Many in the intelligence community realized the similarity between this new, advanced suit and Tony's earlier designs, but when questioned on whether this Golden Avenger had anything to do with him he would neither confirm nor deny the allegations.

Things came to a head in 2013 when the mutant supremacist Magneto famously attacked President Robert Kelly during his inauguration. As everyone knows the Master of Magnetism was foiled when Superman led a team of vigilantes to stop him. Among those vigilantes was Tony wearing his latest armour. After the battles conclusion he would reveal himself as the pilot of what the media had dubbed "The Iron Man armour".

Over the next three years Tony would continue to divide his time in utilizing his influence as head of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate in attempting to save the planet, while also taking a far more proactive stance as the hero Iron Man.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:
Frontier Tony doesn't differ wildly from 'classic' Tony. If anything I've just picked and chosen bits and pieces from all of the many different versions of Stark to make up this one. He has some MCU, 616, Ultimate, EMH, and even some Elseworld traits in there. I think the core differnce between Frontier Tony and regular is that here he uses his arrogance and humour to try and hide the deep amounts of self-loathing that he feels, essentially just another suit of armour he wears to hide his vulnerability. Admittedly some writers have touched upon that aspect in the past, but I think that side of him has been lost in recent years, especially in the new Invincible Iron Man run.

Name:

Klavdiya Lynne Riordan/ Hella

Alignment:

Lawful Evil

Affiliation:

Her Vendetta

History:

For as long as anyone could remember, the Riordan family had been as much a part of Blúdhaven as the cobbles which paved its sin-ridden streets. In a festering pit of murder and debauchery, the Riordan’s were stalwart sentinels of justice and integrity. A police family, throughout the generations; to be born a Riordan was to be born a guardian of that small shred of purity which slunk beneath layers of chaos and corruption.

Klavdiya Riordan was both an up-and-coming hero in the BHPD, and the media’s favorite golden girl. Any transgression she made was swept under the rug, and any slip up was quietly forgotten about.

One day, an event was held to honour each and every Riordan on the police force, with them all having been gathered to receive commendations for their families dedication to the city.

Midway through the ceremony, the park stand exploded, and every Riordan except for Klavdiya lost their life.

After a prolonged period of recovery in hospital, Klavdiya went rouge, assumed the identity “Hella”. and dedicated her life to uncovering who was behind the bombing, and bringing them to justice. Her methods go beyond questionable, and most would argue that the ends by no means justify the means.

Hella works alone.

How (if at all) does the New Frontier version of your character differ from the original?:

This incarnation of Hella is mostly faithful to the original depiction, with a few minor alterations, an expanded history of the Riordan family, and the nature of the bombings left a secret. Also I changed “Katherine” to “Klavdiya”.
