QUESTION
Catching a middle (skilled) tier pokemon.
Does that start at lvl 1 or 10?

@dark light all caught pokemon start at level 1, I'm assuming. @balthazar007 if you ever get on could you confirm? But as of now let's roll with the level starting from scratch, unless you have a better suggestion?

Lvl 1 doesn't work for me as its the evolved form. It should be stronger than your beginner pkmn. But at the same time the entry requirements into skilled are too easy and don't require any lvling up.
I would start them at half their evolution lvl, so 5.
But also have as a skilled requirement that you have at least one lvl 5 Pokemon before you can catch them at that lvl.

Lastly can someone please just copy the into post and make a new thread!?

@dark light LOL make a new thread--I think we'd be better off making a shared collab doc or something of the like. (just reinserting my argument about laying responsibility onto one person)

As for having them start off at level 5, that would be slightly odd since a trainer could easily evolve up a Pokemon at level 1 with an evolution shard. Sure it would up the Pokemon's level by three, but the entire system would be skewed should you change the system at all. Perhaps just consider the Poke to be a "level 1" in trainer care? Besides, the argument against wilds being at lvl 5 would be that they should, actually, start at lvl 10 since that's when Pokemon should "naturally" evolve if they aren't exposed to consumables.

Really, I don't know a better way to improve the system without breaking it. I think that keeping it as-is is the best option for now since the Pokemon has to get to know your trainer anyway, and is automatically "more powerful" as it is a "tier two" Pokemon rather than tier one.

What do you / does everyone think about that?

Sadly though, I am not going to be able to read everyone's amazing entries in order to calculate points! At this point, it would take many many solid hours to do that. Instead, I would like everyone to HELP me calculate your points relatively easily. All you have to do is quote this next section, fill in the blanks, and post it as a reply:

I'm going to need you to go back and redo this for me. I counted three times and you only have 9 posts on pages 14, 15, and 16. With this new system, you cannot claim points on any pages that are yet unfinished. In other words, until page 18 is started, any posts on page 17 cannot be counted. Please reply with this fix.

You were correct with the total number of posts found on these pages. The only mistake you made was counting your sunrise post and first post of the month. You had already done those posts on page 13, a page that I had already accounted for. You don't need to change anything though. I was able to easily tell what is what.
