"Oh." Joseph said dumbly as he looked between the two, before his eyes widened and he realised what they'd actually said. "Oh! Wow, seriously? That's... That's actually really crazy! And you only met today? That's just... Wow..."

He smiled as they offered to let him join them, nodding gratefully.

"Yeah, alright! I was meaning to go inside anyway. Besides, I'm always up for making new friends! Well, at least if I'm too drunk to be terrified of it... Or if I'm dying of hunger... What was I talking about?"

And then he looked up to Victor, who asked about his cardboard suit.

"Well, I wish I could say it was by choice, but it was mostly by necessity." He said with a shrug of his shoulders. "I guess I wanted to wear something nice-ish, and seeing as I only wandered into town about a week ago, I had absolutely no money. So I starting looking around the alley I'm sleeping in for the moment, and I found some boxes. I left an offering out for the pigeons, and they led me to a roll of duct tape someone must have thrown out. After that, it was all pretty easy, and it didn't even cost me any money... I just had to deal with not eating for the last two days!"

Despite talking about what in all honesty had been two fairly difficult days for him, his mood was picking up. Hell, he even thought he saw someone dressed almost like a superhero!

Or, you know, an anime character, at the very least...

And that was why he didn't even notice what was going on until Olivia was already falling.

His heart practically sank when she fell, and even in his drunken state, he knew how it could've gone if her baggy clothes hadn't softened her fall.

"Shit, Olivia!" He shouted, almost tripping in his haste to see what was wrong, and eventually settling for just kneeling next to her. "Hey, Olivia, what's wrong?!"

Shit shit shit! What should he do? What could he do? Damn it, he knew he shouldn't have drank so much tonight! Maybe he could've kept his mind clear enough to remember the stuff he'd read if he'd just kept away from the liquor!

And then he stopped panicking as he listened to Victor calling the paramedics. The clear, efficient way he explained the situation put his panicked reaction to shame. However, it also made him realise just how little panicking would help here.

He took a deep breath, before turning to the superhero/animu girl who had just said she'd try to look for a doctor.

"Hey hero-girl!" He shouted, important details kind of coming back to him. "Look for Ren White! He has white hair, and he always looks grumpy! He's studying to be a doctor!"

He wasn't sure she'd actually heard him, but he didn't have the time to follow her and make sure she heard. Instead he turned back to Olvia and grabbed her hand. He wasn't entiry sure why he did that, but he figured it could only help.

"Olivia, are you awake?" He asked, trying to sound more confident than he was. "If you're awake, try to focus on my voice! Don't fall asleep! I don't know what's happening, but people are coming who'll know what to do. Until then, keep concentrating on my hand and voice. You'll get through this, Vic and I will make sure of it!"

Milo Ventri

Milo felt the squeeze on his hand, she was clearly having a time trying to express difficult thoughts. Milo cupped his other hand over hers reassuringly, strength was not something that one could wield alone, just as one swordsman never won a war, no one can conquer their demons alone. Milo could relate to this girl as well, perhaps the scenario was a bit different but, after his accident, Milo had withdrawn from society and tried to deal with his instability by creating a bubble that he couldn't escape from. The two bubbles were created from different material but they did the same thing.

"Importance is something that you make for yourself, the impact in another persons eye, importance and infamy, you can craft them in a single word or a grand display. You crafted your importance in a single conversation where your knowledge was key. More so you further it by your willingness to persevere in this uncomfortable scenario."

Milo and his views of honor could get complicated but he felt that what he was saying made sense, she had made friends and shown them that she was a good person, at the end of the day, that is all that matters.

"Taking all of the difficulty that surrounds us and making it through to see our friends again, that is what makes us strong and honorable, like a knight, huh."

The last bit directed to Vika as a jab at her comment about him being like a knight that saved the day. He spoke a great game about honor, but even as he said it he knew that the honor he had here was barely tentative at best, he had no real honor anymore, and it would be some time and a great deal of effort to rebuild from all that he did in Delta, all the pain he caused to those he loved. Milo couldn't help but let his mind wander to the days when he and Ana had spent entire afternoons doing nothing but being around each other, and how he hoped that he could find that again.

Ashton Griffone || Central Point || Public Party || Friday Evening

@Almalthia@Furiosa@PrinceAlexus@RoccanIronclad@ReusableSword@Poi

It had been a fairly pleasant couple of hours, it was nice to interact with the others and make new friends. Ren grabbed his two companions hands and led them to a piano for them to dance to while the white haired man elegantly played. Sadly, Ashton spotted Marinalia leaving to call it a night. In which case Ashton cheerfully waved farewell to the beautiful woman. Perhaps they will meet again soon? It'll be nice to get to know a new friend after all! The song choice made the cheerful giant bounce to the rhythm as she gave a soft but ever silent laugh. Listening to Siobhan sing caused the tall scar face blonde to smile brightly. The red head had quite the lovely voice and in combination with Ren's fingers dancing along the instrument made a lovely melody.

Ashton couldn't help but wish she had such talent. Music was never a skill she had. Be it playing a instrument or of course singing. But hey, at least she could happily listen to it!

However, the firefighter had to pause as she heard panicked shouts, causing her amethyst gaze to snap around to examine the room. Spotting a woman shouting for help while a crowd forming to stare at a particular place, Ashton felt like she needed to act to check out the situation. She may be on medical leave, but it was her duty to lend assistance. Plus it was the right thing to do. Quickly tapping Siobhan's and Ren's shoulders, she gave a soft worried smile, waved her hands before pointing herself then over to the crowd before quickly waving a farewell and carried her long body through the crowd and over the the situation.

When she got closer, she saw a woman passed out with two men near her, most likely her friends. The tall firefighter shuffled her hands into her jacket and pulled out a badge, holding it out to show it to the brown haired woman's friends.

Kneeling down beside the unconscious woman, Ashton carefully examined her. Doing the standard procedure of checking the pulse, heart rate, breathing. There didn't to be any sort of outer injury, her breathing is a little on the slow side. Gently picking up a arm, she felt the small body. This woman seemed a bit skinny. Was she not eating well? There were several possibilities that came to her mind. Turning her gaze questioningly to the man who had called the paramedics. Considering this was a emergency, Ashton quickly took the boogie board hanging from her neck and scribbled upon it before holding it to reveal some questions.

'Has she consumed any alcohol? Any known illness's or allergies? How was she tonight, did you notice anything off?'

Paige Kennedy

City Hall was normally divided into two floors during public hours. The lower, main hall where the ballroom was set up, housed most the city’s more common offices: tax collection, vehicle registrations, utilities, public records and the like. The mayor and other city officials’ personal offices were housed on the second floor where a perimeter balcony overlooked the ballroom. All were open to the public though the upper level seemed a little less crowded. Sharply dressed servers strolled around with silver platters passing out champagne and hors d’oeuvres mostly to small, intimate groups clustered together for a temporary escape from the crowd below. There was a small dining area that normally served as a café during the work week where Paige sat at high table with her partner, Xi.

The temporary headquarters for the Marshal taskforce in the city was towards the back of the building, not in view of the other offices. Paige used her passkey to enter from the side rather than funnel through the front doors like the common citizenry. Once inside, she had to pause and lean against the wall in an uninhabited stairwell and momentarily catch her breath. The cold had become near unbearable: At least for a woman accustomed to middle and south Florida year round. She wondered how in the hell Lupe had adjusted, then again he had several layers of added “protection” from the elements, so to speak. Milo seemed to have been okay as well, but she rolled her eyes at the thought of him. Loser.

With the happy rise of heat, she found the upper level much more to her liking when she met Xi who had already ordered the drinks.

“Been a while since I saw a woman order one of those.” Xi said with a smirk. The café had been converted into a cocktail bar for the evening and she texted him to order her a classic Collins.

“I needed something light,” Paige replied. “I had that coffee thing a little while ago and it had milk in it.” Their table overlooked the ballroom from the railing. She took a few sips as she glanced over. “What do they drink where you’re from?”

“Mostly fu-fu, daiquiris and cheap wine,” He said. “We live in the desert so there’s plenty of tequila too.” Xi scanned around as well. He had hawk-like vision and a myriad of patience to boot. He once spent two days staring down a rifle scope in Afghanistan waiting for a militia leader to appear. Looking for gangster thugs making a show of themselves while sipping a Kronenbourg 1664 was like a night at the Ritz.

“Never had a taste for tequila,” Paige visibly winced at the thought of it. “But I can’t say I haven’t ordered my share of cheap wine and chic drinks.” She smirked at the memories that flowed behind the comment. The night had been full of reminders of Delta City, both large and small. “Seen anything?”

Xi shook his head, “I know I saw a couple outside, patch and all.” The Dellesantos Gang had been a focal point of more than one their briefings and both were familiar with the group’s colors as well as the gang’s hierarchy. Being from the Southwest, near the Mexican border, Xi had delt with its equally dangerous sister-organizations that operated across the borders. “Apparently you really stirred them up when you made that crank call on the Visagoths, P-3 was in the air and listening. They were ready for a showdown.”

Paige’s smirk turned into a full grin. “Never underestimate the wonders that can happen when you sow seeds of distrust in a garden of assholes.”

“You just make that up?” Xi chuckled. He had already created a nickname for her various and obscure pontifications, Paige-isms.

“Nah, I read it somewhere.” She watched as a group that included the redhead she’d spoken to earlier decided to take on a few songs at the piano. She wasn’t exactly a fan of the tune, but she could appreciate talent and it fit the ambiance of the evening, though it was quickly cut short by a small disturbance. It appeared that someone had fainted or passed out though her view was obscured by the assembled gawkers. She shook her head and went back to her drink. It was time the EMT's got off their asses and worked like everyone else.

Sebi calmly stood there staring into his cup silently still listening to everyone and would sometimes tuning out everything to focus on one conversation. he perked up his head as he heard someone singing a familiar song, he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Has he listened for a bit before slowly drifting toward where it was coming from. He pushed and ducked through crowds trying to keep the song in his head. Once he drew closer and closer he started to singing along more pronounced with each step until he came face to face with a man on piano and a woman in a brilliant green dress with strawberry red contrasting hair. He stopped and stared as he calmly sang along to the song with a faintly giving an inviting smile to the woman. he had no clue what it was called yet he knew every word perfectly. It was like it was from memory and as if this had happened before.

Victoria Darya Romus

City Hall . Public Party . Firday evening

Victoria looked over noticing the gathering group over to the side, a tall woman running over and people backing up before winging to filter alway and going back to there convosations and groups. A woman.. Was it a woman. Maybe she was running about asking for help in a seeming panic, dressed differently. Well she seemed to be shouting for a tor... Do... Doctor.though it seemed a off duty EMT or someone had already answered the call.

Whatever had been hidden by the wall of people had obviously passed or lost intrest to those around them. Looking up she saw a woman and a man watching the hall from one of the quieter upper balconies. Wait was that Little miss deathstar... No wait she had a name. Paige.

It seemed she is as leaving them alone and Milo was distracted from his darker turn earlier. It seemed her evening was beginning to turn round and fix it self. How it would end she did not know.

Turning back to Milo appreciatively, he seemed to have picked up on her nerves and managed to put things into words alot better than she had and felt a warm presence over her hand. It seemed he was more perceptive than she had thought.

Quietly replying and leaning her head against his arm and leaving a few long white hairs on his shirt and jacket. Detailed platt slightly messier and more freely hanging after a long evening.

Thanks.. Hon.. Yep that... You seem to have more words than.
Me tonight.

Drop me a email or somthing if you ever need website help!

Slightly nervous. It was a bad way of expressing herself but she tried to make a freindly and kind offer, maybe too professional and not exactly ideal but at least it was a small offer of friendship. Milo seemed to have the situation better handled than she did, alot better handled.

Giving a quick glance round she hered a tall red head singing at the piano, wait. Ren was playing there. Only able to hear partly over music but the two combined was good. Approaching them was a strange her dressed in a slightly femenine outfit with male shape, well that's certainly a confident look. This city certainly had a few intresting charceters.

Centre Point -> City Hall - Friday Evening

@Pilatus and anyone else who wants to mess with Jamal

The sky was inky black, sparkling diamonds contrasting against the dark. Laughter, chatter and busy noise filled the air outside. Smiles glowed and eyes twinkled. It was moments like these that Jamal cherished. Never before has he seen the city so so beautiful. It was a calming, pleasant sight. It was unfortunate that he was part of the ugly side of the evening. He had been separated from his newly found friends, if they could be called as such. But that, like all good things, had to end. He had a duty to finish and that duty included standing outside looking like a very angry man. So there he was, furrowing his eyebrows at people and growling whenever someone came close. It was almost a routine. He imagined a three meter diameter circle around him. Anyone who passes into that circle gets growled at and maybe even called a rude name. Anyone outside of it gets glared and/or told to piss off. He quickly fell into a rhythm for the next two hours as it was quite the dulling experience. After a first couple smiles after scaring away particularly drunk citizens, it got boring very quick. The two of them - he finally learned the bald guy's name as Ralph - were entertaining themselves whatever way they could while on "scare duty". He was surprised that no policeman came to talk to them but they were technically doing nothing illegal enough here.

As Jamal showed his sharp teeth at a particularly wimpy looking man, he thought back to today's events. Meeting new people was a thrilling experience and it was always good to break the ice every now and then. It was sweet to see such wonderful people filling up his city, particularly that tall woman he never got to learn the name of. Nor did she speak all that much when they talked. Well, now that he thought about it, he didn't think they "talked" at all! He furrowed his eyebrows before relaxing, waving it off as some sort of personality trait or disability. It didn't retract from her pleasant personality and likability so it didn't matter too much. Then he had to deal with those people affiliated with the biker gang, an escalating situation that was thankfully defused. The cartel gangsters with guns were still waiting there but it seemed unlikely that any conflict would arise. If it did, he hoped that the normal law enforcers patrolling the festivities packed enough punch to do something about it. He hated feeling useless but in a situation like that, he would've had no choice but to be a sitting duck. Alas, there was no shootout, thanks to himself. But the unorthodox manner he had conducted his "diversion" had consequences on his mental capabilities for the rest of the evening. He frowned then shuddered, shaking his head violently before setting back in place like nothing had happened. Because nothing did happen. Nothing was going to happen. Everything was alright. He met Kei and the drunk punched bushes, that was it.

Speaking of said drunk, said man was currently approaching Jamal with a solemn and sober expression. He had just finished whispering something in Ralph's ear before coming to him, pausing to glare at the taller man. The undercover cop just rolled his shoulders, suppressing a small smile. It was his fault he got so drunk on the job, why did he need to stop him? The slap marks on the other man's cheeks told the him all he needed to know about how he got sober so quick. He began mumbling under his breath, his lips a little swollen. "What did you just say?"

"I said Ima replace you on this post bitch! Can't you hear, shitface?!" The man started sizing up, some obvious frustration and pent up anger in his eyes. But it deflated when someone behind him cleared their throat. Ralph stared at the recently sobered man, a disappointed frown on his face. He begun opening his jacket to reveal an old Colt Revolver, tapping the butt of the gun with a grin on his face. The drunk deflated even more and pushed Jamal out of the way, leaning against the pole with a tough expression. The shaking hands and shuffling feet showed there was a reality behind Ralph's threat. The policeman nodded at the older man before heading towards the hall, feeling the warmth of inside heating on his face as he got closer. He didn't let himself bask in the hear for any longer before stepping inside to the bustle of people. From his height, he couldn't see any familiar faces in the crowd. Oddly, he couldn't see the 7 feet tall blonde woman from earlier but she might've been masked by the crowd. A person pushed past him to get to the upper levels. More and more pushed past and eventually, the previously immovable rock was moved by a mass of people trying to get a better look. He wriggled and shoved to get his way out, eventually landing himself at the bar.

"Oomph." Jamal caught himself from stumbling, grabbing on to the stairwell railing. Looking back at the hustle and bustle of civilians getting inside and out, he decided that patrolling the upper level was a much better idea. He would soon find himself in the upper level where more commotion was on going. People were separated in groups within the level and there were plenty of people but not as many as the downstairs entry. There were glances and even a few pointed stares. Ignoring this, he confidently strode to the makeshift bar and ordered a warm beer to suit the colder times. He drummed on his chair, bobbing his head as he looked at his surroundings. He spotted a familiar pair, an all too familiar pair from earlier. Marshals. Shit. He turned slower, playing it cool and hoping he didn't attract them. With the big fuckin' patch on his sleeve, he doubted he would get out of the bar without some sorta questioning. His beer glass arrived with a nod from the bartender, the drink soon finding itself easing into his lips.

This was gonna be a long night.

Ren White

City Hall

Siobhan @Almalthia started singing a duet, and Ren couldn't help himself but to comply. Their voices sounded good together, and even though he wasn't a big fan of the song it was nice to share the music with somebody else. Sometimes as a child, Ren would sneak out from his parents parties and find a quiet corner to play the piano by himself. Now that he thought about it, a little girl used to join him from time to time, also seeking refuge from the adults scrutinizing stares and questions about their future. A young man @The1Rolling1Boy appeared from the crowd, joining in on the singing. A friend of Siobhan's, maybe? He didn't have time to guess any further, before a young woman @Poi rushed past them, asking for a doctor. Ren felt his chest tighten. He wasn't a doctor by far. He was an unmotivated first year student who didn't even want to be there to begin with. Luckily, the girl kept running without bothering them any further. If it's that serious, somebody has to have called 911 already. Ren assured himself.

Ashton @Silver Fox went after the girl with a distressed look on her face. A woman of few words it seemed. Is she mute, or just… Reserved? Feeling a bit uneasy now, Ren stood up. "I'm heading after Ashton to see what's going on… Not that I'll be of much help, but I feel like it's the least I can do." With that, Ren chased after the tall blonde. It wasn't hard to see where to go. There was a circle of people with worried expressions and quiet whispers between them. Wasn't that the girl @Poi from the Coffee Pot? Sure enough, Joseph @Rabidporcupine was kneeling next to her looking very out of his element. There was a scruffy looking fellow @Reusablesword beside her as well. Ashton had already jumped in, using her necklace as a white board to write standard emergency questions on it. So she really can't talk, Ren mentally noted. "I assume you've already called 911, so all we can do now is wait." He looked between Joseph and the other man, standing there rather awkwardly. This was beginning to feel more like a freak show than it was an emergency and now he felt bad for joining the crowd, unable do do anything else himself.

It had been about an hour, and Rajvi had found her saving grace. There was one thing...one thing...that could calm her down when she was in such a state, when there were so many people around her, when the crowds were so tightly pressed together that she could hardly move through them:

Alcohol.

Lots and lots of alcohol.

Maybe a tumbler and a half—okay, two tumblers—of scotch into drinking, and she'd rapidly shifted into a bumbling, clingy, and intensely chatty person. Her face was colored a bright red, both from the drinks and from the cold, and the booze was having a really intense effect on her. It had been well over a year since she'd gotten properly drunk, and since she'd subsequently promised herself that she would never get drunk again. The glass in her hand sloshed as she put it down on a table nearby before approaching Victoria again.

"Vic—Victoria," she drawled, wrapping her arms around the shorter girl's shoulders and resting her chin on her head, "you...you're a nice person. You're a nice person." It was fairly evident that she was quite beyond her normal limitations at the moment.

Disengaging from Elsa—she laughed loopily as she thought of it—she stumbled straight into Milo, looking up at him without any of the prior fear and trepidation. "Milo," she said, "Milo Milo Milo Milo!" Then she reached her hand up and tweaked his nose, collapsing into a fit of giggles immediately afterwards. Some time halfway through her first tumbler, she'd undone her long braid, and her lengthy hair hung loose around her face, trailing nearly down to her thighs.

It was fairly obvious why she'd promised herself she'd never get drunk. When she was, she became...well, handsy, and given her usual demeanor, it tended to have uncomfortable ramifications later on, when she remembered that she was quite terrified of people and then discovered that she'd gotten a little too friendly with someone. That had been an awkward Monday for her. However, she wasn't thinking about that at the moment. She was thinking about the fact that Milo smelled good.

And she told him so, too.

Siobhan

As the song played Siobhan heard not one voice but two. Both vaguely familiar; both different. Looking out over the crowd she met a pair of what her favorite author would refer to as "fine eyes". He was tall and lean and singing with her. She smiled and titled her head quizzically as if to say "You know this song too?". As the song ended and Ren hustled over to where some bundle of energy was calling for a doctor. Siobhan stood up and trailing a hand over the piano she coquettishly put it between her and the tall dark stranger. "Well hello there. To whom do I owe an introduction to this fine evening?" Her heart was racing as she leaned lightly on the piano.

She had noted the disturbance and that it had pulled Ren away from her and getting to know him better. Not to mention that Ashton had run that way too and since she didn't have a valid reason to go over there she thought it better to stay where she was to keep out of the way. She'd catch the gish of it later. Music, art and dance she could handle. Medical emergencies were for professionals. If someone wanted a Rembrandt touched up she could do that, but she couldn't patch Rembrandt up himself. Not to mention he was dead anyway. She glanced over at the commotion and noted a hysterical gentleman in...was that cardboard?!?!? It was!!

She sighed and shaking her head turned her attention back to the stranger on the other side of the piano and smiled invitingly. She was damn well going to dance at some point this evening she'd be damned if she got dressed up for nothing. Besides tall dark and handsome was just the foil for Ren's blondness.

Plus she would probably run into Paige again at some point so having attractive men on hand could come in handy. She had seen her a few times with some rotund Latino gentleman and a flashy Indian and Siobhan thought she'd save Paige at some point tonight. Maybe she could get one of these gents to dance with Paige then plead with the two hanging around Paige that she needed some girl talk and save Paige that way. Yes that sounded good add a drink or few more in and she might just have a really good night.

Victoria was slightly Suprised at the rapid shift from barely able to talk to hugging and laughing. How much had she had to drink, 2-3? Had to be higher. Maybe she had a few before she left. She was definitely not a regular drinker it seemed, and rather freindly.

Smiling through the slightly awkward hug due to size differences, feeling her chin on top of her head displacing part of her platt. She was rather used to the awkward fact hugs tended to work less well when people had a 6+ inch height difference.

Then she moved onto Milo which gave her a slightly uncomfortable feeling she did not expect to have, they only met a week ago right. That was kinda premature. Doing best to forget it, turning to Rajvi sipping a glass of wine, counting 1,2,3,4,5 in her head. Her egg.

your nice too Rajvi! Think you need to slow down a little. Your a freind! Ooh you have nice hair.

I thought mine was long!

Leaning up from against Milo and nudging her glass over from her, she seemed to to need a freind to look after her. She had had some but was not so effected as her new freind, the drink was effecting her but not as badly.

Feeling abit silly, alcohol and feeling alot more relaxed and comfortable than she thought possible days into moving to a new city. Playing along counting the fingers on his han casually.

Myegglo! Is short a hand!

See. Things worked out in the end. Even of started a little cracked.

Egg puns, too much time with Marilania and she had picked up a few to say thr least, the mood rapidly changing from serious, to awkward and joking and drinking. This evening had defenitely been a roller coaster.

Glancing over a second she saw Ren run over and the faint sounds of the piano ended, Ren certainly had a talent, somthing to pass on to Mali. Though it seemed they would not quite be ending with thr Disney kiss at the end of the ball. They seemed freinds though.

Looking round, the strangely dressed man had joined the group Ren was is, somehow they seemed to share somthing. Did they have a past thing? There was maybe somthing between Ren and the red head though. They sung together.

Over the police radio net the cartel members had not gone unknown, and all the units had noticed the risk though starting a gunfight in a crowded event was a very bad idea. Waiting for them to enter quieter zones or a time when things slowing was preferred.

Sol City PD command to all units. Make cartel feel uncomfortable. Show not welcome. Take extreme caution. Civilians at event priority. Do not approach if risks to civilians. Over

They wanted to make there presence known, thr cartel had been so brazen they would decide to respond and cause them abit of stress too. Returning the favour. They had had there fun, it was time to end.

Out at a cold and windswept airport the mechanic had been called in on over time, a damaged fuel injector needed replacement and whoever wanted it done, needed it done fast. Only taking the job as they where offering triple time to of completed by the morning. It was a easy job though time consuming.

Closing the hanger doors had not helped much, the temperature was still too cold, just thinking about the money and a brand nice bottle of scotch he was going to buy, the mechanic worked into the night.

Victor Henson

Friday Night >>> Central Point

Victor had been too concerned with trying to figure out why she would suddenly pass out to notice Joseph at first or what he was saying, but his best guess was simply that it could be a persisting condition. His thoughts were interrupted by something Joseph had said. The tall man glared at the cardboard clad man, “don’t call me Vic, where not that close.” It was true, Victor didn’t like being called Vic by people he hardly knew. There was a reason for this, a reason he quickly pushed out of his head.

The arrival of the rather tall woman he noticed earlier threw him off for a moment as he gave her a questioning look before seeing the badge, he moved out of her way but continued to kneel down close to Olivia’s head, “Joseph if she starts to have a seizure let go of her and back up.” His attention was brought back to the lengthy girl who held out a small note pad with a few things written down. He didn’t answer her right away, instead he glanced at her neck but couldn’t see any signs of physical damage.

It was Victor’s job to judge and assess people and his surroundings, a skill that was picked up and ingrained in him over his years of military service. It was a good asset to have in his current job as well, but this girl before him although showing physical scarring on her face in a strange arrangement didn’t have those same signs around her neck. This concluded his theory of why she couldn’t speak even in an emergency being, “Trauma” he whispered. Suddenly his eyes seemed to focus back on what the girl had written.

And with only minor hesitation, “Err no, no alcohol, I’m not sure about allergies or illnesses, and she seemed fine up until just a moment ago. Said she wanted to sit down before trailing off and falling, at least she didn’t hit her head.” The bearded man looked to the tall girl and smiled before looking around at the small group surrounding them, “oi! You all need to disperse some, you’re blocking the way to a fire exit.” Honestly he couldn’t care less that they were blocking anything, but he really didn’t like looky Lou’s. He also didn’t realize that when he sat up and waved the crowd off he momentarily exposed the black grip of his pistol on his right hip to those closest to him.

The crowd didn’t seem to move too much, he did hear someone in the crowd mention something about 911 as the paramedics showed up with a gurney. One of them was carrying a heart monitor and hooked it up while the other pulled him away to check her vitals again. The two easily moved the small girl onto the cart and only stayed to talk to Victor as he told them what happened and a few other witnesses, before getting ready to leave, “Joseph, grab her things and go with her. I do think she would appreciate it, just let her know I had some work things to take care of in the morning.” Truth be told, he wasn’t lying he did have a few work things to do, but he could always do them later. However, the man simply didn’t like hospitals, and she had his number anyway, so he didn’t see too much harm in it. Turning his attention back to the Tall Blonde he smiled, “thank you, it is very appreciated.” A small sentiment from one awkward giant to another as he watched the paramedics leave with her, momentarily having a small thought of where that kid went off to to get help.

Sebastian Ajgiel

@Almalthia

Sebi was pleasantly enjoying singing along with the mystery woman. as the song drew closer to the end he drew ever so slightly closer to her. Once the song finished, it was as if he snapped from a trans and he was quick to notice where he was. Sebi looked around the area nervously surprised that he somehow dragged himself into this. He looked up at the redded headed woman as she leaned against the piano that was playing earlier tho it seemed like the person who does doing so had run off because of something.

"Well hello there. To whom do I owe an introduction to this fine evening?"

Sebi lightly bowed out of respect, "The name is Sebastian Ajgiel." He gently raised his head while examining her dress out of curiosity before studying her face. It was a habit of his to study their outfit to see if he could understand them more before studying their face to get the more finite details. "Do forgive me if my bargaining into your singing disturbed you. I just couldn't help myself but to join in since I knew the song so well and have many memories of it."

Paige Kennedy

Xi spotted Jamal almost immediately before the big man caught sight of Paige and himself. He watched as the tall figure strode into the bar and stopped at the counter. “Six o’clock,” He said calmly taking a sip from the green bottle in front of him. The man had a dejected look about him, not to mention he was apparently flying solo. Xi continued to look around. There was no sign of any of the others he’d seen outside and they weren’t hard to spot either. He reckoned this was some sort of break-time from the assholery they were spreading out on the street earlier. More than a few people he’d spoken with told him about imposing figures in ill-tailored suits dishing out verbal threats and bearing their fangs at any who approached them. The common thread in each story: A sewn on patch in the shape of a red cross. As a beer was delivered the man glanced back and finally saw the two Marshals. Xi did not meet his gaze, but he knew the man saw them. “He’s alone.” He said to Paige.

“What’s he look like?” Paige asked. The bar he was out of her field of view. She didn’t turn or show any change in her expression.

“Over six foot,” Xi said, “Like Bob Marley on steroids.”

“Sounds about right” She replied.

A waiter came by to check on them and she signaled for him to come closer. Paige very casually drew her jacket back slowly allowing him to see her star and sidearm. She spoke calmly and directly: “I just need you to remain calm for me… and in a discreet way, remove as many people from this area as possible.” The young man looked confused at first, but nodded in affirmation.

As the party goers were dispersed, both Marshals got up from the table using the seemingly natural movement of the crowd to partially obscure the view of anyone else who might be watching. Xi took up a position against a far wall, putting him within easy range of Paige and giving him a full view of anyone else that decided to interfere. With the wait staff removing the regular residents of Sol City, anyone that still approached would be considered a bogey.

As she approached the bar, Paige considered the last time she was in a similar situation. Though she didn’t really expect any action out of this lone thug, the setting reminded of her of a time she’d encountered, “el Tractor” or the Tractor a well-known Columbian hitman, in a small diner on the southern outskirts of Delta City. She didn’t have any backup on that occasion. The Marshal Service was on the trail of a survivor from a separate hit that occurred the day before in hopes they could extract information. The target sought refuge in the diner hoping the public setting would provide some protection. Paige arrived just before the Columbian and had attempted to disperse the diner staff in the same way, though the Tractor knew the game and immediately placed the waitress Paige warned in a booth to sit quietly. She heard stories of the man, that he used a combine to rundown some rogue, Columbian sugar-plantation magnate that refused to pay the ruling Cartel, thus earning his name, and that by all accounts, he was an all-around bloodthirsty badass to boot. She’d stood her ground though and the when he somehow decided to back down, she could only believe that luck was on her side that day. She knew she had a fast pull, one of the fastest, but against him, she wasn’t sure. However, the tales of the mouthy female marshal with a laser beam stare grew exponentially.

Paige sat at the bar three stools down from Jamal with her empty glass and motioned to the bartender, who looked scared shitless, for a second on her tab. She didn't look at him when she spoke and merely glanced ahead watching her drink being made, “Long night, huh soldier?”

Centre Point - Friday Evening

@Pilatus

After a decade or two of service, you start to get it. You start to get how to be a police officer, what it takes to uphold the law and how to get there. It wasn't always pretty, especially for undercover cops like him but then again, what job didn't have their downsides? It was just that this job could end up with you dead on the streets, choking on your own blood. He was a serial pessimist so maybe he was exaggerating things but he liked to imagine himself as a realist. And as a realist cop who's been in the game for more than a few years, you know when someone was good at what they do. Whether that someone was a drug dealer, an artist, a serial killer or another officer, you learn how to evaluate people on the fly. It would be that evaluation that could save someone in a dangerous situation. Or help assess a situation as high risk or not. After a while, you start to do it subconsciously. Now, call him judgemental or rude but it was a necessary skill that you needed for the field. It came with a built-in warning system and right now, the sirens were blaring in his head.

Jamal watched from the corner of his eye as people slowly departed the bar area. People were approached by a waiter who looked a little unnerved. With confused faces, people politely left as discreetly as possible. Well, as discreetly as civilians can be. There was always that one person who ruined it for everyone. A couple packed their things a little too fast, especially when it seemed like they were in the middle of conversing. It was painfully obvious that something was going on. Looking around for the perpetrators, his eyes landed on one man and one woman slowly moving their way through the crowd towards him. Ah. The marshals. If his sirens were blaring a few seconds ago, they were going crazy now. He didn't need a US marshal all up in his business and almost made to leave. He paused however, figuring out that the pair would just corner him somewhere else. Somewhere less private, where they could ask a whole lot of uncomfortable questions. He did not need his cover blown. It only took one extra person to know his secret for the whole operation to go bust.

So instead, the officer got comfortable and ordered another warm beer. He made sure to ease into this one, trying to play the part of a cool gangster rather than a worried cop. He was getting too old for this shit. He smiled devilishly at the bartender, intimidating the poor underpaid man. He noticed the female marshal sit in a stool a ways away from him, ordering a drink at the bar.

"Long night, huh soldier?"

The gangster's smile grew wider, his hand clenching the glass tight. Oh she had no fuckin' idea. "Yeah, y'all could say that missie." He answered, gesturing towards her partner with his glass. Maybe he was being too aggressive, revealing that he knew the both of them were together. But whatever, might as well give a smart impression on this marshal. He wondered how they'd handle him under his act. He took another sip of his beer, smacking his lips together. He let out a long sigh., keeping his eyes looking in front of him. "So, y'all hookers or somethin'? 'Cause I ain't got no change missie. Especially for the two of you. But of course, I'm always willin' for freebies, if ya get me. Don't try and steal from me though, I know how this works. Don't wanna break that pretty face of yours." He turned, grinning at the woman next to him.

He was gonna have some fun with this one.

Milo Ventri

Milo took a moment as the two girls were talking and he just let his mind wander a bit, bouncing from some of his projects that he needed to finish as well as plans for future outings with Vika, but it was when he started to notice that Rajvi was getting a little toasted that he came back to it, she was all over Vika at this point and it was kind of silly, she had been so scared earlier, a few drinks and she became much looser, then she backed into him, which of itself was fine, he was a large fellow, but the pinching of his nose was the sign that she had had a few too many. Milo did his best to try and let the act go, but she then followed up with a remark about his cologne.

"Well, thank you, I do try to clean up pretty well when I intend to be out with a date."

Milo looked to Vika, he had a look to him that showed he was just a tad uncomfortable, Rajvi needed a nap, sleep off a few of those drinks or something. Milo looked around and noticed that he had actually only had one drink himself earlier in the night. Probably a good thing, he didn't like leaving his truck behind.

"Ladies, I don't know about you but the night seems to be coming to a close. Rajvi will you be needing a ride home? My truck is nearby if you do." Milo said looking to Rajvi, then he turned to Vika, "Of course, that is whenever you feel ready to go." Milo didn't want to rush her out of the party if she wanted to stay, he was just starting to worry that their new friend here wasn't going to be making it back without help soon, that, and he was still thinking about him and Vika grabbing a bite to eat, then see where they go from that.

Victoria Darya Romus

City Hall . Public Party . Firday evening

Victoria had had a few over course of night but still had ernough mind to realise Rajvi was somewhat drunk and she probbly needed someone to make sure she got home safe. Much as they had ideas, leaving a person to mercy of thr city did not sit well with Victoria.

Milo seemed uncomfortable, he probbly was thinking same things he was and maybe a little at the attention. Things seemed to be going well at least. Maybe they could pick up fish and chips on the way instead, least a truck was warmer than walking.

Aye.. I think il keep you after all.

Joking along and lightening the mood a little, she knew Rajvi needed a freind but she not have to be a total killjoy at same time.

Well we can always pick up fish and chips to go, it seems like the party is starting to come to come to a close.

It was a lovely evening!

Smiling, minus a run in with a certain battlestation, kinda alot of snow it had been a rather good but cold evening. Even with the fake fur coat she would still be feeling it outside. The winter was definitely making its self known. It might clear up in the morning.

text me if you wanna meet for coffee? Or lunch?

Handing her phone number to Rajvi scribbled on back of a business card, she might not text, she might but be nice to have a few freinds in the city.

Swaythling round the rest of the event, everyone else seemed to have enjoyed it, Marinalia was safe home asleep, thr commotion by the doors seemed to have cleared, whatever it was.

For one night the city seemed to of escaped disator for a evening, shivering slightly. Sliding on her warm white fur coat, the polar bear ears where always cute, "borrowed" from her sister. Loosening her platter somewhat to a more casual style as evening was somewhat at a close.

roar.

Laughing with hood up, little polar bear ears poking out the hood, it was silly but hey, round freinds she could have a little fun.

Deciding some of there citizens had the right idea, most of the mayoral staff had headed home, where enjoying selves or like the mayor deciding that the vending was not quite over. He still had a city to run and the bikers where getting bold, reports of other bikers at 501 club. Sure that was nothing new but every little thing meant more feds.

Desiring to try and keep his somewhat pride intact, he would at least ask not be forced. Sending a badly spelled email from thr various drink they had enjoyed. They would allow them to launch whatever oporations and schemes they had. At least he had been able to send I'd some what freely.

At first, he was pretty much what Paige expected as she accepted a second glass from the shaky-handed bartender. With everyone moving away, or in the process of being moved, the area become strangely empty in the midst of the party as a whole and would have been an object of curiosity to an outside observer. Her expression allowed for a very slight chuckle of amusement with him.

“I run into this situation a lot on the job,” She said. “You’re cornered and still alive, but think you’re a badass and you gotta be tough. I get it.” She said with a small nod of mock satisfaction and took a sip of her drink. Even under duress, the barman still did a fairly decent job of it. “Funny you should bring that up though, hookers and what not. I mean you’re a whore, right? You’ve got your rate to work the street.”

Then she had an odd feeling in her gut. Something about him seemed… off. She’d been in the game long enough to see it and to feel it: Nearly a decade, including three years as a Florida state police officer. It was the lip smack that did it, like he was trying just a little too hard. She’d seen all manner of ill-reputes and the worst of their behavior, but something about that was just different, unusual. Real criminals of his rank were seldom ever that blatant, particularly ones in his situation and the ones that were tended to have shorter lifespans. In that moment he seemed like a guy that just got off work at the foundry and was so tired that he was far beyond his regular level of give-a-damn for the day. Either that or he was just dumber than he looked in that silly suit.

“See I work for Uncle Sam and you work for Aunt Margie, at least that’s what you and all your shitkicking buddies keep running around telling everyone.” She said. The poorly sewn on patch drew her glance for a moment. Stretched and frayed at the ends from riding on the shoulder of his suit all evening. The coarse fabric was never intended to be sewn and with the jacket being at least two sizes too small, it was barely hanging on. Her olive eyes moved slowly and deliberately, their characteristic, piercing gaze finally met his grimacing visage… and that was it, the grimace, the giveaway. All white, all accounted for and perfectly straight. Normally being a low-rank street thug for a cartel didn’t carry a premier dental plan. The best most could hope for was to look like a veteran hockey player or a boxer, at least the ones that stayed away from the cigarettes or the harder stuff that just blasted the enamel away. Paired with her previous intuition, she was willing to bet her next paycheck that he was something other than what he was attempting to portray- a thought she was going to put to the test directly. As was her custom, she looked him directly in the eyes, not showing the slightest hint of intimidation. Conversely, she was trying to restrain a tiny smirk.

“It’s real funny because Margie takes such great care to keep her name out of the gutter,” She continued. “And yet here you all go spreading it around like vacuum salesmen,” She shrugged a little at the irony. “Makes my job a lot easier.”

Joseph looked up in surprise when Victor chastised him for the nickname. He opened his mouth to ask if now was really the time, but quickly decided against it. What would fighting the man do? It certainly wouldn't help the situation in any way. Right now, they both needed to focus on Olivia, and that was exactly what he'd do.

Thankfully, the man quickly gave him actual advice not too long after, telling him to step back if she started having a seizure. In response, Joseph simply nodded. It was only when he did so that he noticed the tall woman. At this point however, he was too worried for Olivia to even react.

He was scared.

He was confused.

And he was useless.

All he could do was kneel there, holding her hand, while Victor did all the important stuff. He couldn't even speak up to tell the crowd to disperse for gods sake!

It was only when the paramedics showed up that he managed to even move himself, stepping back while they moved her into the ambulance.

He looked up in surprise at Victor when he told him to go with her. Why wasn't he coming? Then again, the look in his eyes suggested it may have just been better to not ask.

"Yeah, alright." He said with a quick nod. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything else."

He then turned to the tall woman.

"Like he said, thanks for helping us."

And then he went to start gathering her coat and the things that dropped from it. As he picked everything up, one of the paramedics approached him.

"You're coming with us?"

"Yeah, I just had to get all her stuff." He responded.

"Alright. I'll ask you to sit up the front with me though, just so you don't panic and interfere with anything in the back."

"Yeah, ok." He said, jogging up to the vehicles door and hopping in.

Things should be alright now. They were going to the hospital, and they'd know what to do.

Joseph sat in the hospital corridor, waiting for any word on what was going on.

Was Olivia ok?

Was it a minor thing, or could this be something really bad?

Damn it, what the hell was going o-

Before he could finish his thought, the door opened and an elderly doctor stepped out. Joseph looked up with a worried expression, only to be greeted with a reassuring smile.

"She's asleep, but she should be alright for now. You can go in if you want, but please don't disturb her rest."

Joseph let out a massive sigh of relief, which he'd been holding in since she'd first collapsed. However, it was only as he did this that he thought he noticed something. Maybe it was just a little bit of lingering drunkness, but he thought he saw… something in the doctors expression. It was gone in a second though, so Joseph decided he must've imagined it.

Slowly, still somewhat nervous despite the doctors words, he stepped into the room.

It was a nice one, all things considered, with a window looking out into a small courtyard. By said window was a single, folding chair, which made it seem like they placed it in there specifically for him. Then again, what would he know about hospitals? He was just some dumb wanderer…

He looked out at the moon through the window, before taking a seat. It wasn't long before his fear could no longer outmatch his exhaustion, and he too drifted off to sleep.

Siobhan

Siobhan smiled. She curtsied to Sebastian and said. "My name is Siobhan Murphy pleased to meet you. Are you a fan of the song is that why you've heard it so many times?" Siobhan came around the piano and moved to Sebastian's side. "Personally it's one of my favorites because I happen to like Dean Martin. His voice is nice but if we prefer an actor I would prefer Fred Astaire because he's got better moves than Jagger. Although Jagger and his own right is rather Suave. but one can make the argument that if a stair had not done what he had done then there would have been no way for Jagger to do what he does."

Siobhan reached out to a passing we're grabbing a flute of champagne and handing it to Sebastian as well as grabbing one for herself. She's worked in the challenging way assuming that he would either agree or refute her opinion on Fred Astaire and Mick Jagger. Hopefully he degree and take the hint that she did want to dance, but sometimes you really needed to push someone out of their comfort zone and she had no idea if Sebastian danced or not.

Doing a quick scan of the room she noted that Ren looked awkward and confused as to what he was doing with the commotion by the lady who had apparently fainted if Sebastian didn't dance with her then she would take pity on Ren and she would ask him to dance but only if Sebastian didn't. She thought about the fact that since it was Friday almost Saturday actually, she didn't have to be anywhere until Monday. But she was also supposed to surprise her parents tonight wondering if she should take her Entourage that she had been gathering with her to see her parents she decided not to and that she have just a little bit more fun before turning into a pumpkin.

Bring herself more into the moment and focusing your attention back on Sebastian she smiled and awaited his answer.
