Hello, @Ruler Inc, I'm finally here after a few things came up in real life. As I'm writing this I'm readin the thread and getting acquantained with the universes in it. I supposed I had some original ideas but there are similar enough to others' that I'll decant for my most radical one: I was wondering if a universe that was colonizing other (mostly empty) universes as part of their raison d'etre would be acceptable?

The First Divergence
This was once a world identical to ours, but everything changed around the 1750s. It wasn’t a large change, it wasn’t likely to be either a single change or perhaps even a single series of related events. Whatever the case, it is impossible up to this point in time to be able to trace back what was the First Divergence itself.
Between the Divergences
Between the two divergences, the Prusso-British Empire would rise from the ashes of the First British Empire after the equivalent of the French Revolution and the French Revolutionary Wars swept the British Isles, ending the direct line of succession. As the Glorious Revolution in the past, the Army would finally tire of the anarchy reigning in the country and supported a foreign pretender to the throne. The Prussian prince chosen would then go and unify the countries under a personal union which would then be supported by a new Acts of Union.
This new country’s first great military action would be a second wave of pan-European conflicts that would put most of central Europe under their control. The second, would be the recovery and expansion of the former British colonies in North America. And therefore, they would expand until they occupied the British Empire’s place in history and surpassed its territorial extension.
The Second Divergence or The Event
The Prusso-British Empire, still shaky since its inception in the past decades, would come face to face with The Event in 1830 and said occurrence would shape its destiny and the world’s. In 1830, Magic came alive on the world of Imperium thanks to the weakening of the dimensional barriers that separated it from the rest of the multiverse.
Portals opened in East Africa and the Southern Cone, allowing the people of Imperium to both wield magic and to expand into other parallel versions of Earth. While most of those Earths were empty, not all were so…
The Inheritance War
The Inheritance war started on 2112 with the discovery of a human-inhabited world in ruins (which would later be called Asas Douradas). This world hosted not only human nations barely holding on to the lands south of the Equator, but to the invading armies of the Magna Arthropoda.
The Magna Arthropoda are descendants of the Palaeozoic subphylum Trilobitomorpha. Great insectoids that come from the size of a small car to transatlantic ships. Masters of engineering, whether mechanical, biomechanical or genetic, they exhibit a communal lifestyle similar to Imperium’s ants but with each individual having on average a higher intelligence than a human instead of being a mostly mindless drone as one would initially expect.
The Magna Arthropoda have heavily modified their bodies inside and out with technology of all kinds and breed at the speed of insects, causing their armies to be massive in number and extremely powerful both at individual and at organizational level. It is no surprise then that the resources extracted from the 120 Earths conquered, dominated and populated by the combined might of all the states in Imperium were barely enough to halt their advance. After many battles, hundreds of millions of deaths, several Earths ruined and thirty years of warfare, with the lightest casualties being on the scale of our Stalingrad, the Magna Arthropoda were not beaten, but instead decided to retreat, likely feeling the conquest of Imperium wasn’t worth the resources invested.
The Current Year
It is the year 2475 in Imperium at the time. Most of the larger bodies in the Solar system of the original Earth are colonized and mankind enjoys a golden age, with more than 500 Earths colonized and their resources steadily flowing towards the original one. It seems that there are no problems on the horizon… But the very thing that brought them prosperity, the portals and the connections to other Earths, now have been confirmed to be dangerous to the existence of the very multiverse if they aren’t properly stabilized.

The inconclusive result of the wars through most of their duration was a terrible pressure on the British Parliament, which soon radicalized into two fields, those that supported the ideas of liberalizing their colonies and even some of the independence movements, and those who sook to tighten their hold on their remaining colonies. This destroyed what little cohesion had been existing at the time inside the Parliament. This was joined the social upheaval caused by the tremendous economic strain and the hunger and scarcity that said strain had produced, which forced a social divide mirroring that of the Parliament which would translate into the popular uprisings of 1782 and 1785.
While the war situation in the North American continent was varied through time in terms of tactical dominance, the strategic situation deteriorated in a slow but steady manner for the British Empire. While this is attributed to many factors, most experts coincide in that the devastation of the colonies played a fundamental role. With armies being harder to field for each side thanks to lack of supplies and the British lacking the home advantage, the North American rebels inflicted a tremendous cost on lives, supplies and economic strain on the Isles themselves. The bold invasion was both a strategic decision to unbalance the British dominance of New England and a stratagem to deviate the public attention from the impeding utter economic catastrophic collapse which the rebels would be suffering. After the beginning, the Royal family would be held in domiciliary reclusion for most of the beginning of the conflicts uninterruptedly. Said fact, while making them prisoners in their own country and palaces, would keep the core of the Royal family safe from the most radicalized revolutionaries, who sook to remove the monarchy itself.
The Silent Revolution’s era Parliament would make peace with the Latin Alliance and offer it several times to the heads of the American Revolt, without much success on the second front. Humans in this world are heavily different from the ones that existed in the XX century even when not all the time they present a different physical appearance. Thanks to transhumanism, the human race has transformed itself to allow for space colonization, extreme environments and damage and, of course, to better itself whether cosmetically, physically, intellectually or in their base biology. - Magna Arthropoda:

The Magna Arthropoda are mysterious in many ways, but there are main facts about them that have been discovered and aren’t currently disputed. Starting with their physiology, they have fully embraced transhumanism with extensive biological and mechanical modifications to their bodies from before their birth. These mods have allowed them to become a formidable force in and out of combat, with most of them heavily modifying their bodies according to their role in society. It isn’t clear if this role is chosen by themselves or if it assigned from above.
These organisms develop their lives in a mostly communal society, however, while individualist behaviour is discouraged as it leads to selfishness and egocentrism, according to their view of life, individual thought is encouraged. As previously mentioned, the Magna Arthropoda have shown a tremendous inventive and ingenuity in their creations.

- Transhumanism, while often being considered a polar opposite of magic in the past centuries, has become another means through which magic can flow. For example, why would you need to carry a group of protection ward stones when you can have those same symbols carved in your nano-component bones with atom-wide precision?

Mina is a wolflike Hellion, possessing lupine features (though her tail is not as long as it appears in the image) and standing a little on the short and wiry side in terms of her size. She mostly dresses in neutral colored winter clothes, turtlenecks, trousers, and high-topped combat boots.
"Everyone has a light in their soul. I've never believed otherwise."
It would be safe to say that Mina has a very cuddly personality; despite the nature of what she does Mina is quite kind and humble, never one to start a fight or bask in the limelight. She tries to see the best in everyone and although she is an avowed pacifist, she understands that what she does is a necessary evil to protect those she cares about and doesn't relish in harming or killing her enemies. While she is an exceptional pilot and fighter, she does have an issue with self-confidence stemming from her background and relative inexperience and can sometimes get emotionally overwhelmed in a tense situation, but when the chips are down her incredible capacity for hope in the face of insurmountable odds can weather any storm and power her forward.

Mina was born in a Deus Imperium labor camp on an icy planet, the conditions of which ensured that neither of her parents would survive to see her reach her first birthday. Orphaned and alone from the start, Mina was raised by older children and adults who survived the brutal conditions until the Ebott Alliance arrived and liberated the prisoners of the labor camp when Mina was eight. In the course of caring for the sick and starved prisoners, many of the orphans of the camp were adopted by the soldiers and freedom fighters who liberated them, and Mina was no exception, being adopted by the shark-like Hellion Meeko Balik. Gifted with a family and a new lease on life, Mina happily went to her new home, catching up on her education and the joys she missed in the internment camp as best she could and dreaming about what her future would hold for her now. Of course the future did have an answer for her when the routine testing given to all Ebott citizens on turning thirteen revealed that Mina possessed an unusually high amount of Vigor for her age.
Mina had heard of the PARAGONs before, regarded almost as legends by her friends and family, and she was rightfully floored when the government testing revealed that she was an excellent candidate for PARAGON piloting. Initially reluctant thanks to her pacifist tendencies, Mina was convinced to give the Ebott Alliances PARAGON training program a shot. Her success in the program surprised even herself, and the other pilots in the program, equal parts impressed and jealous, often commented on her prodigious talent as a PARAGON pilot. Assigned to the newly rebuilt PARAGON-12, Mina hadn't even officially finished her training before a surprise Deus assault forced Ebott to deploy every available soldier to the front. Fighting off the onslaught of Deus Imperium soldiers, Mina had already proven her mettle before she was separated and ambushed by the CRUSADER Emicho, a butcher whose skill as a pilot was matched only by his endless cruelty. Mina had already proven herself in the defense of Ebott but she became famous when the other pilots arrived to her rescue and found her still standing and fighting the more experienced and brutal Emicho to a standstill, allowing the Alliance to finally take down the war criminal once and for all. The duel against Emicho earned her the respect of her peers and the admiration of Ebott, and it gave her the right to name and customize her PARAGON to her liking.
Thus began the story of PARAGON-12, Rude Buster.

Mina is the pilot of the PARAGON-12 Rude Buster, a bipedal weapons platform equipped with an arsenal of weaponry and able to go toe to toe with even the most deadly of threats. Rude Buster is equipped with wrist-mounted Gatling cannons and an arsenal of rocket pods by default, and the Rude Buster can carry an arsenal of photon-powered Paragon-sized handheld weaponry, such as battle rifles and high-powered railguns. Defensively, PARAGONs are equipped with hardened armor plating and point defense systems, but the primary defense for PARAGONs is the Vigor Field, a metaphysical barrier that can protect a PARAGON from damage or harm fueled by the power of the pilot's Vigor. Rude Buster itself is a specialized PARAGON built as a bruiser, additionally hardened against close-range attacks and equipped with a PARAGON-sized warhammer for melee engagements.
Outside of the PARAGON Mina is no slouch as a combatant, having received standard combat and weapons training by the Ebott Alliance, and all pilots are equipped with a retractable combat dagger and the RLS-I percussive blaster as a sidearm. Like most pilots however, Mina is learning the nuances of utilizing her Vigor outside of the PARAGON suit, and can use it to perform bursts of superhuman feats, such as superhuman defenses and athleticism.
"W-when did it get so dark..."
While Mina's Vigor can allow her to perform some impressive physical feats, her inexperience using it outside of the PARAGON doesn't make this a reliable ability for her, and without the benefits of that Vigor she's no less vulnerable then anyone else in a combat situation. When she is emotionally compromised her Vigor is effectively neutralized as well, making her ineffective inside and out of the PARAGON.

"Rude Buster online!"
Mina is the pilot of the PARAGON-12 Rude Buster, a bipedal weapons platform equipped with an arsenal of weaponry and able to go toe to toe with even the most deadly of threats. Rude Buster is equipped with wrist-mounted Gatling cannons and an arsenal of rocket pods by default, and the Rude Buster can carry an arsenal of photon-powered Paragon-sized handheld weaponry, such as battle rifles and high-powered railguns. Defensively, PARAGONs are equipped with hardened armor plating and point defense systems, but the primary defense for PARAGONs is the Vigor Field, a metaphysical barrier that can protect a PARAGON from damage or harm fueled by the power of the pilot's Vigor. Rude Buster itself is a specialized PARAGON built as a bruiser, additionally hardened against close-range attacks and equipped with a PARAGON-sized warhammer for melee engagements.
Outside of the PARAGON Mina is no slouch as a combatant, having received standard combat and weapons training by the Ebott Alliance, and all pilots are equipped with a retractable combat dagger and the RLS-I percussive blaster as a sidearm. Like most pilots however, Mina is learning the nuances of utilizing her Vigor outside of the PARAGON suit, and can use it to perform bursts of superhuman feats, such as superhuman defenses and athleticism.

"W-when did it get so dark..."
While Mina's Vigor can allow her to perform some impressive physical feats, her inexperience using it outside of the PARAGON doesn't make this a reliable ability for her, and without the benefits of that Vigor she's no less vulnerable then anyone else in a combat situation. When she is emotionally compromised her Vigor is effectively neutralized as well, making her ineffective inside and out of the PARAGON.

I think Kosnitch would look favourably to Mina. For starters, she doesn't just look like another human, which is the equivelent of seeing someone wearing a purple shirt in a sea of varying shades of green.

ALRIGHT, it's announcement time, bitches.
First and foremost let me get the big thing out of the way; I've decided that, until further notice, the RP is officially closed. Sorry gaiz, but I think we have enough people, if you haven't already expressed interest no one new will be allowed in. If we lose enough people I'll open the doors again, but I'll let people in if they were specifically invited by me or another scrub.
Second big thing is that I'm looking for co-gms for the RP. Duties for the co-gm include assisting in the planning and plotting of the RP, judging characters, and other such fun things.
Third thing; I'm going to drop the character limit, you can make as many universes or characters as you please... within reason.
Fourth; I'm also inducting a "time limit" of sorts; if you haven't posted or made a character by next friday your universe will be taken off the OP. Now I don't mean to rush anyone, but I think this would be best if I'm removing the universe limit.

While there are vast differences between the universes, within each universe exists alternate versions of its inhabitants. This is known as the Counter-Part/Counter-Point. Functionally an alternate version of that person living a different life within the rules and bounds that universe. They all have traits that are shared among each other: they could experience similar things, have a similar appearance, or goals. However, depending on the universe they could be drastically different, a human in one world, a monster in another. A teacher in one world, a hardened warrior in another, it all depends on the universe and the circumstances in each of them.
I took out the previous one and swapped this in its place because I knew that'd cause a mess down the line.

This part concerns me because the literal stated purpose of my universe is based upon the idea that there is no living people to call it home. Are you looking for characters to have analogues in the robots of the universe? Because I guess that could work.

Meanwhile I have a similar situation, but in reverse, since while the "champions" are the Rock Imperium, gotta wonder what form they might take in other universes. I did consider the idea the Goddess of the Rock Imperium(though she's not a literal deity, that's just creator worship type antics) was sucked into another universe, and has been roaming as able, either of her own accord, or to try and find a way back home. Might toy with the idea more.

Well, that’s something that would continue as a trend into the future. Alex measuring 197cm. (6’6’’) means that actually the hermaphrodite is on the lower end of the curve of stature. Mankind has become increasingly taller as a whole. Of course, genetic engineering had nothing to do with that, nothing at all.
The young Stark has pale skin and piercing grey eyes, denoting the intelligence that lies behind them. S/he’s thin and nimble, as most herms are, and very strong for his physique, thanks again to genetic engineering. Both hips and shoulders are almost the same width, with his/her shoulders being more feminine than masculine.

Alex was raised by seven very doting parents, that likely has had the impact of making him/her extremely lazy... Or it is equally likely s/he was born that way, it’s anyone’s guess really. That has expanded to various aspects of his/her life, such as being extremely unobservant when not focused, having a poor will and emotional control, even though his emotions are somewhat muted, and finally lacking some empathy when s/he’s not putting effort into it.
The lack of skill in reading his/her environment has made a great dent on the perception of Alex’s intelligence, at least from the outside for people not familiarized with the young Stark. While this is much more pronounced than his/her own perception of intelligence, one must not forget that a person is seen through the others and therefore Alex has had a low self-esteem for most of his/her life. It has also meant that Alex perception of his/her intelligence is lower than it should be.
The young herm’s lack of will to start and follow through with concrete things has resulted in a complete lack of ability with magic; “A zero to the left” would be an appropriate expression. What isn’t lacking in him/her is imagination and the ability to turn an idea on its head and inside out several dozen times until s/he has created an innovative solution. If it’s present at the moment, at the right time and not in the shower and/or at four a.m., well, that’s another story.

Having all your sexual chromosomes replaced, most of your DNA modified and nanomachines inserted in your body that grow along with you it’s much easier when the fertilized egg isn’t even a morula. Also, remember that by this point in time you can have as many “parents” as people have given you DNA to exist in the first place, it’s pretty rare that someone has carried you in his and/or her person and you finally have as real parents those who either; a, are the ones who raised you or; b, are the (likely many) that appear in your certificate of birth.
Alex has seven parents, all who happily raised the hermaphrodite as an only child in a world of luxury and opportunities. While s/he wasn’t in the highest social class, nor close, Imperium is a rich universe with all the raw materials and products flowing from other universes. A consequence of this is that mankind is mostly concentrated on intellectual, administrative, political and artistic pursuits since most of the physical and repetitive work is automated. There is almost no poverty in Imperium, with people living at the standards of the high middle class at the lowest. The mind is the tool of the XXV century and Alex is quite good with his/her.
Noted from an early age as very intelligent, Alex had his/her education specially adapted to suit his/her needs like most people on Earth-1. By the time s/he was 14, s/he had already completed the equivalent of three university careers, postgraduate included, of our time. However, the intense study disconnected him/her from his/her age group, not really because s/he needed all the time and effort present in the day, but because s/he was too lazy to work on creating friendships and bonds of trust outside his/her circle of prodigies.
Through all his/her life, Alex had modifications installed in his/her body and central nervous system to enhance his/her performance. From brain upgrades that granted eidetic memory and absolute pitch to modifications to his/her muscles that allow XXI century Olympic-level performance. While that might seem excessive for a person that isn’t trained at all for combat and doesn’t practice sports, it must be remembered that people in the current date consider that the bare minimum. Alex isn’t an athlete nor someone that can be highlighted for anything but his/her intellect in the XXV century.
However, his/her mind has been enough to be fought over by the military and diverse universities across the different Earths and their nations. By this point in time though, at fifteen years of age, Alex had no real accomplishment to his/her name outside of being a brilliant student. That changed when s/he was called by the military, to which s/he accepted.
After two years in the officers’ academy though, which now meant only mental and not physical exercise, s/he quitted, leaving behind the possibility of a brilliant career though still as a brilliant military strategist. At seventeen, s/he started his/her fourth and fifth careers in university at the same time, not worried too much and hoping s/he could make up for the “lost time”. Still, while his discharge was almost dishonourable, Alex learned a few lessons from his/her time in the military… Except for not being lazy.

Alex doesn’t speak English as modern English doesn’t and has never existed on Imperium. Instead, s/he speaks the classic mixture of German and English that’s the Lingua Franca of Imperium. Because of this is the fact that there are structures such as “s/he” and “him/her” on the description, as in Imperial there is a neutral pronoun.

Alex has a tremendous ability to solve intellectual problems and think outside the oval when s/he applies him/herself to it. Added to that is a degree in Physics, Chemistry and Math. - Peak physical condition:
The alterations and genetic engineering done to all members of the Imperium-worlds are a guarantee that his/her abilities are far beyond what can be expected of someone of such a nimble and unimpressive physique. S/he has Olympic level physical conditioning as a basal state and it won’t decay in muscles mass, reaction times and such due to lack of training or until very advanced old age. - Brilliant strategist:
Even when Alex didn’t complete nor advance too far into the military, s/he still managed to get an impressive amount of experience in terms of tactics, supplies and strategy.

- Lazy to the extreme:
Alex is lazy to the point of being slothful. S/he might have several well-developed abilities, but s/he must focus to put them into action since s/he has completely foregone the training to have them active or at least not dormant at almost all times. - Unobservant:
A direct consequence of his/her natural laziness, lack of observation and attention towards the environment. Quite pronounced in his/her case, s/he is the kind of person that falls into a puddle of mud or crashed face-first into a post while walking on the street. More than that, s/he is the kind of person who hits him/herself in the face with the door s/he is opening.
That also applies to social situations or perceiving other people’s emotions. - Lowered self-esteem:
"I’m not the sharpest tool on the shed..."
Quite the opposite actually. But s/he doesn’t believe it. - Has never fought a battle:
Despite the multiple extremely violent entertainment mediums that exist in the worlds of Imperium, Alex has never fought a battle, a real battle… Where fear of death is in the air and tension is crushing. There is nothing to prepare him/her for the first real battle s/he is going to fight. - Has never had to defend him/herself:
Alex has never thrown a punch in his/her life, period. S/he doesn't know how to fight. S/he might be in a quite strong body, the problem lies in that s/he doesn't know how to use it.
