@Mahz not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but the 'Discord' button now leads to the 'Internal Server Error' page.

Well, we had to quarantine the RoleplayerGuild degenerates somehow.

But yeah, @Lord Wraith, I messaged both Legend and Mahz about it. Mahz said he'll give it a look soon.

Found a similar error with the friend system, when you go to remove someone from your friends list you get an Internal Server Error message instead.

Reporting the same issue here. Raised it on Github as an issue.

Fixes:

- Discord link should work again
- Unfriending from /me/friendships should work (@Bork Lazer thanks for making a Github issue )
- Very niche: Bad roll urls like "/rolls/123]" now work instead of triggering an internal server error. Saw this pop up in the error logs.

Hi. Hello. I have a strange request. Maybe some other people who use table code to make their sheets and organize their threads might like to have an opinion on this too but...

- Cells inside a table have an 8px padding (same as before)

You mentioned adding this back after some initial changes but I'm wondering if it's possible to revert it. It'll allow me to line things up directly next to each other, add custom borders without complex code, image wrap a little easier. And, if I do want the padding, I believe I should be able to add it back in myself with a cell and something inside it.

I think maybe it's just me but I kind of... miss the horizontal scroll in tables? Without it, I'm unable to see entire tables on mobile whether I use mobile or desktop view on my phone. Part of the table will always be chopped off and unreadable. No idea if it's my device or if other people have this problem too. It's perfectly fine on my laptop but, yeah, just makes reading full tables impossible for me on mobile now

You’re not alone. I have the same prob. One of my sheets used the exact same format, and I can’t even scroll it left and right after I posted it :/

Also, is it just me or the pics with higher resolution tend to be extremely huge when I preview my post? I sometimes even had to lower the size of my pics, thinking they’d be too big after I uploaded my posts.

@Yankee @Terry Bogard Hmm, I was worried about removing table scroll.

What if I default to scrolling tables and let people opt in to tables that don't scroll if they are doing some weird design stuff?

I do want to prioritize mobile usability over table hacks.

@Terry Bogard Is the image resolution issue a new issue?

@Exit Not sure the best way. Maybe cell can take a nopad argument or something?

Can confirm that tables more often than not are too big on a phone, even when holding the phone in landscape mode. I'm not sure why this is. you would think that a table holding a few words each in a cell could display with no problems, but that does not seem to be the case.

I don't think removing scroll was ever about table hacks, it was more like even the smallest tables formatted poorly and often required a scroll to see anything and might just need some better logic. But if the option is scroll or no scroll. I'll choose to scroll.

@Terry Bogard Is the image resolution issue a new issue?

It's not a new issue. Previewed posts have always shown the image in its native resolution instead of what it will look like scaled down. It's almost like preview mode does not take the page's size into consideration and will give you a scroll bar to see everything. It's something I've learned to deal with, but one does expect preview to show the post as it will look on the forum.

- <3 to the person that registered on Github just to fix a link on the subscriptions page (https://github.com/danneu/guild/pull/8). It's also the Guild's first user-submitted patch.

Lol I just noticed this, you're welcome :)

Incidentally I have been bothering over the table functionality recently, and I have been doing some CSS review and testing.

The main pain point I have found is that the various hacks used by people are causing a lot of unexpected behavior on mobile. For example, the combination of a heading amd sub or sup causes word wrap to go completely out of whack. Often this is also accompanied by BS like hacking the headers just to form a drop shadow effect:

I'll share more on the h/sub combo as soon as I figure out what is actually causing it - So far I've had no luck replicating the issue with a testing page.

Hmm... Not sure how this is gonna work, but do you think it’s possible to have two different defaults, perhaps? One for the mobile where you can scroll horizontally and the other for PC users, I suppose?

@Terry Bogard Is the image resolution issue a new issue?

Not exactly. I just have a prob with the pics appearing extremely large on preview mode when they aren’t supposed to be that large after getting posted. Makes me second guessing if the sizes are already the right ones everytime I wanna upload posts with pics.

This^

I encounter this exact same stuff too while viewing somebody’s sheet with the same format.

Almost suggested this the other day, but it's looking more useful now. Would it be plausible to have a different system for images and/or tables on mobile and computer? Idk how websites work in depth, but I would think it'd just be a matter of making two... viewers, for lack of the correct term, and maybe putting a button somewhere to switch between them if desired?

Hosting animated images on the guild no longer works.

It used to be that GIFs would get converted to WebP files and stop working, but you could still host APNG files as a sort of workaround. Though I see that no longer works. Even creating an animated WebP file does not seem to work. It will work if I run it online locally but not after I upload it to the guild. I'm told this likely has to do with the new image proxy pipeline converting them over, which seems to happen regardless if it's already a WebP or not. Is there a way to adjust said pipeline or maybe some upload settings that would get animations working again?

Adding a shadow BBcode to the formatting tool could avoid headers being inconsistent.

Afaik @LegendBegins was working on some experimental BBcode, but I don't remember if dropshadows were one of them. I know they had a glow bbcode, though.
