As soon as Vivian said she'd be alright with it, Ella clicked open the Pokeball. There was a burst of light, and the purple snake appeared beside the green one.

Glancing around, he withdrew from the other Pokemon and hissed. "Hey, they won't hurt you," Ella soothed. With another look around, the Ekans uncoiled himself. "Ekanssssss..." This time, the hiss was softer as he noticed the Petilil and the Trubbish shying away from him.

"Uhhh... Maybe we shouldn't have them out just yet..." Ella said, watching Leisy return her own Ekans. Her grip on the Pokeball tightened, and she chewed at her lip. She hoped being inside the Pokeball wouldn't distress the Ekans further, but the plan to let the Pokemon socialise wasn't working out too well.

"I'll let you out later, ok?" She pressed the button, and a red beam of light pulled the Ekans back into the Pokeball. Being a trainer was much tougher than she'd thought. She hoped she'd be at least some help on this mission.

Tora blinked a little as the strange woman seemed to practically ignore them other than remembering Archie and Sirius' names that were mentioned. Was a bit more interested in just talking to the Pokemon. Glancing towards Juana as she spoke her opinion, the taller woman nodded in agreement. "Indeed you are correct. We better hurry then. The poor dear could had gotten quite hurt by a pack of Persions." she spoke with concern.

Archie on the other hand tilted her head curiously at the stranger before glancing back at Bounsweet, shrugging slightly back at the grass Pokemon before looking back at the woman speaking to her. Sirius however still looked quite a bit more timid compared to the more confident fire Pokemon. Peaking out from its hiding place behind Tora's legs. Slowly though, the starfish took the treat and gingerly pressed it against its gem, absorbing it slowly into itself.

The Growlithe's nose was twitching as the Pokedex was pulled out to show the cute blue water mouse Pokemon. At the sincere request, Archie tilted her head before looking to her trainer, as if asking for permission to assist this woman's plight. When Tora smiled in returned and gave a approving nod, Archie stood up and sniffed the air, Des, then the grass. Walking along and sniffing about near the river. Soon enough giving a happy bark before dashing along the stream.

Tora took a deep breath as she equipped her backpack before following after her fire Pokemon. "Growlithe's sense of smell sure is s marvel. Archie seems to already be on to something." she mused as she walked, Sirius close to her heels.

Indeed, Archie bounded along, fluffy tail wagging, soon coming to a halt as there are a low growl and hiss. The fire puppy returned the growl with her own, and a bark, fur fluffing up as she saw a Persian prowling the bank, seeming very keen of a pair of large rocks in the middle of the river. Another Persian doing the same on the other side of the bank. As soon as the dog Pokemon came foreword to bark at the large feline, the Persion gave a screeching hiss, very unpleased to see the dog.

Leisy Takigawa

Seeing Ella return her own Ekans, Leisy sighed and slipped Cassia’s Pokeball into her pocket. I ought to buy a trainer belt, Leisy thought with a small frown as she fussed over the missing tool in an attempt to distract herself. Looking around, Leisy realized that both of her friends had fallen into a sullen mood. Slapping on a smile, Leisy turned to them.

“So! Let’s head out?” she asked, looking at Ella and Vivian. “Do either of you wanna stop by the Pokemart or maybe grab a bite? I’m famished, although we should probably move out quickly if we want to catch the perpetrators before...” Leisy looked up at the sky, frowning as she trailed off, “the sun goes down...”

Des watched Archie sniff around. When he barked and started running along the stream she gave a little gasp.

"Thank you..."

She ran after the fire dog and came upon the confrontation between him and the Persian.

For the first time she directly addressed Tora and Juanna.

"Have one of your Water types help me out."

With that said she rather hastily leapt into the river and started wading out towards the pair of rocks. Nestled between was one shivering Azurill.

"Hey there. Shhh it'll be ok."She reassured the baby water mouse. Slowly she outstretched her arms towards it, the tiny rodent looking up in puzzlement but still clearly frightened.

♪♫♪ Cecilia "Cici" Taylor ♪♫♪

Location: Feyhollow Town

All in all, it had been a reasonably successful day. The keyword being "reasonably". Cici had managed to scrape together a small amount of money from her busking session, and booked a music act for the next evening in one of the eateries, so that was good... right? This would prove reliable enough after all... wouldn't it?

Over the course of the afternoon, she'd gone from performing outside the mart to practicing in the forest. Her two new Pokemon couldn't resist joining in, Cadence providing the beat with her ringing sounds. Living up to her name, she was proving to have a good sense of rhythm.

Cici gave a soft laugh as she put away her guitar. She'd lost track of the time again, and now it was getting late, shadows settling over the forest. It probably wouldn't take long to meet up with Tommy, though.

"Well, we'd better head back now," she said as she stood up. "You know... I really hope things go alright, travelling with other people." The worry and doubt were clear in her tone. "And if things don't go alright... At least there'll be moments like this to look back on."

After petting the Igglybuff, then the Kricketot, she returned them both and started on her way out of the forest. She frowned. That was... odd. A strange mist slowly seeped into the area, thickening until she could barely see anything except small white lights in the distance. "What...?" Cici backed away, but they drew closer, surrounding her, coming into view through the mist. Tiny, glowing, mushroom-like Pokemon formed a ring around her.

Against her better judgement, she stood frozen to the spot instead of running, the lights drawing her in. No! Whatever they were doing, it wasn't anything good. As she forced herself to look away, flickering spores filled the air. Maybe, hopefully, her Pokemon could fend off these creepy little creatures... The moment she reached for a Pokeball, though, something brushed against her hand. Something soft and silky.

Every muscle in Cici's body relaxed as she looked into a pair of wide, friendly blue eyes. The pink-and-white Pokemon approached her, one of the ribbonlike feelers extending from its body stroking her arm as if to tell her everything was alright. Cici gave a relieved smile. These Pokemon meant her no harm. They were just playing. They just wanted a friend...

What?! What was she thinking? Cici turned and ran for it. The moment she did so, one of the ribbons wrapped around her ankle. The forest lurched, and she landed with a painful thud. All four of her Pokeballs rolled from her belt, popping open. No sooner had her Pokemon emerged than they drifted off to sleep, dusted with glittering spores.

"No..." Cici's own voice sounded distant to her. Her eyelids grew heavy as she breathed in the spores. The last thing she felt before passing out was her panic giving way to an odd sense of serenity.

...

A Pokemon, much larger than the other fairy mushrooms, stood over the sleeping woman, shading her from the floating lights. "Shii... Shiino-Shiinotic," she whispered, watching in fascination as the woman stirred and opened her eyes. The group of Morelulls drew closer, squealing and giggling in excitement. The human's eyes were no longer blue, but glowed white as moonlight.

As the human tried to stand, the Sylveon used her feelers to help her up. The pink, fox-like Pokemon pointed one of the ribbons at the guitar on the girl's back.

The human nodded. "I will play for you," she said in a soft voice, sitting on the ground, leaning against a tree. "I will sing for you... my friends."

The fairies crowded round as the girl strummed and sang, her melody no longer bright and cheerful, but eerie, haunting. From what she'd said earlier, it sounded as if she wanted friends who wouldn't leave her. Now, she had them.

Juana acknowledged Des, then turned and nodded to Dewpider. "Dewpider, get to the river and help Des out," she said.

Dewpider saw Des running out to the river, and immediately panicked. The spider skittered to the riverbank, knowing full well that vicious fish lived in there and could bite and tear at any non-fish out there; Dewpider did not want to see that.

Dewpider spotted Azurill, and swam into the river, dropping its water bubble helmet as it was back in liquid space. It stuck its head out of the water and sprayed a gentle jet of bubbles into the chink where Azurill had been nestled, easing the Normal/Fairy type out of the rocks. Dewpider, however, did not notice the Basculin swimming towards it, Azurill, and Des, hungry for flesh.

Corphish, however, did. It scuttled into the water and delivered a swift nip around the fish's neck area, before brutishly swinging Basculin out onto the grass. Corphish beat its chest.

"Bounsweet, help Archie with one of those Magical Leaf attacks of yours," Juana said, running after her fruit Pokémon. Bounsweet bounded along the path, before spinning its calyx and firing a storm of Magical Leaves at the Persian. Bounsweet gave Archie a quick chirp before rolling on the ground and facing the Persian.

Tora blinked a little as the woman lept into the water before looking towards Sirius. "If you are up to it Sirius, I'd be grateful if you could lend your assistance as well. Help them get across the water." the tall woman requested, watching the Staryu slowly turn toward her, then the river before looking like the starfish took a deep breath. Soon enough, the water type lept into the water and swam over to Des, drawing close so the woman could grab onto one of its limbs so it could guide her back across to shore.

The Persian hissed as the Magical leaves cut up its fur, the feline giving a angry hiss at the sweet smelling Pokemon. Screeching angrily, opening its jaws and baring its fangs threateningly before charging foreword, claws out ready to use fury swipes on the grass Pokemon. "Archie, Fire Fang!" Tora called. Archie barked then charged foreword, jaws open with fangs spewing fire, leaping at the feline and sinking the flamed fangs into the Persian's back. The feline yowled in pain as the teeth sunk into it and fire scorched its fur and flesh, rage flashing in its ruby eyes as it reared up on its hind legs, swinging its left paw around to slam it into the side of Archie's head with a Slash attack.

Giving a pained yelp as the Growlithe was knocked off and slammed into the ground, clawing at the ground as she was almost knocked into the river. The Persian hissed, opening its jaws that glowed brilliantly before breathing a streak of stars as it used the move swift. Archie growled as she stood up again at the edge, fur fluffed before opening her jaws and breathing a Ember attack in a attempt to counteract the swift attack. The moves clashed into brilliant flash, flames glowing and crackling against the stars.

It was only now that Ella realised exactly how hungry she was. She'd been so worried about her friend's family that food had been the last thing on her mind. Now, her stomach rumbled. "Yeah, we could get something to take along the way," she suggested.

The young trainer let her hand rest on the Pokeball in her pocket. "Uh..." Her uncertain gaze settled on Vivian and her Petilil. "Sooner or later, I'll have to let him back out to feed him. Is that... Is that going to be ok with you?" She glanced from Vivian to Leisy. "I'll keep him away from the other Pokemon for now. That seems like it'll make things easier for everyone."

The music was pure improvisation, but every note came to Cici almost instinctively, weaving together into a melody that kept the fairies captivated. She'd never played quite like this before. Beside her, all four of her Pokemon slept, undisturbed by the sounds that carried through the night.

Except for one. Cadence wriggled in her sleep. A crack formed in the thin skin on her head, spreading down to her chest, over her stomach. Moving this way and that, she woke up, casting off the old layer of skin, and the afflicted condition with it. She chirped in shock at the sight of her trainer. Stumbling over to Cici, she tried to snap her back to her senses.

"Why are you worried?" Cici asked, the words coming out in a soft mumble, as if she were talking in her sleep. "This is nothing to worry about. I'm alright. I'll be alright this way."

The Kricketot wasn't listening. Instead, she turned round and bit the nearest Morelull.

With an angry shriek, the Morelull spun around, swaying in place. Even with the weakening effect Bug Bite had on Grass types, the Pokemon remained standing, forming a ball of pink energy and firing it at Cadence. The Kricketot instantly toppled onto her back, struggling to right herself.

Cici stared, feeling something buried deep away resurface. "Cadence!" she yelled, leaving the guitar on the ground and shifting her position to stand up. Her body resisted, as did her mind. It felt as if she'd fall into a deep slumber at any moment, and she was losing the fight to remain awake.

Cadence looked up at her trainer's face, noticing the girl's eyes were once again their usual blue. The next moment, they closed and reopened, their colour replaced by that strange white glow. The spores settled over the bug's shell, sending her back to sleep.

The Sylveon padded over to Cici, caressing the top of her arm with one of her ribbons. Cici felt her body slacken. Cadence would be ok. The Kricketot had simply panicked, and the situation had turned into a fight that had been quickly stopped before it could escalate. There was no reason to fight, after all.

Even so, Cici slowly reached out and stroked the sleeping Kricketot on the head before resuming her song.

While the Persian was distracted using Swift on Archie, Corphish sprayed a froth of bubbles at the cat, impacting it at the same point as the Growlithe's Ember. The bubbles fizzled into steam, creating a haze through which the feral feline could not see, which gave Corphish and Archie a distinct advantage. Corphish scuttled up, snapped its claws, and with both, used Vice Grip on Persian's tail. The cream-colored cat Pokémon yowled in pain, before slashing at Corphish and raking its claws across the crawdad's face. To take two facial lesions in one day was not an ideal situation for the Corphish, and as such, the Ruffian Pokémon was not a very happy camper.

Corphish flew into a frothing rage, giving Persian a terrible leering glare that caused the cat to give pause. It then pinched Persian's nose. The Basculin was only the first on its current hit list; now, it was cat clobbering time.

Persian turned and sprayed more star-shaped rays, this time directed towards Corphish. Corphish scuttled off to the side, but the rays appeared to bend towards it and strike it anyway. Corphish was worn down from a day of nothing but scrapping, but was determined to hang on for the sake of its crawdad dignity. It shielded its face with its pincers and gritted through the Persian's onslaught of mouth lasers, slowly pushing forth and taking a deep breath to squirt bubbles through any openings in the stars.

Fortunately for Archie, Corphish, and Bounsweet, the fruit Pokémon had a homing attack of its own. On Juana's command, Bounsweet lashed out at Persian with another Magical Leaf attack, before slamming into the cat's snout with a whirling Rapid Spin; it was not a strong move by any means, but one that would stop Persian from spewing Swift at Corphish for the moment.

Dewpider couldn't watch, but what it could do was continue helping Des free the Azurill from the stones. It gently wedged its spindly green arms into the space between Azurill and the rock, and wriggled a bit to help loosen the aqua mouse from its spot. Supposedly, it tickled, nut Dewpider couldn't worry about that when there were giant scary fishes waiting to kake a meal out of hapless aquatic Pokémon.

The girls suddenly walk into a foul stench, so bad Vivian dry reaches as she looks around confused. There in a iron cage not too far away was an angry skuntank. It was riled up and ready for battle. To the left, under a large tree was a pit trap like the one Vivian fell into before.

Azerus had finally done it, he had made the train. He had been following the tracks for the past few hours when a cargo carrier came charging by. Releasing Zubat to open a door and using rhyhorn to keep up with it, Azerus had found himself in a near empty container. Nearly empty. An elder thin scruffy looking man with a big bushy beard had already dibs'd the rusty container. He and his large Ursaring didn't want to share.

Azerus tried to scan the bear Pokemon but his faulty pokedex failed him. His Pokemon were not fully healed and this big thing looked dangerous, none the less, he wasn't giving up his spot on this train.

“Good idea,” Leisy said, pulling out her Pokedex and checking the map function before realizing that she was in the presence of two other trainers that were both native to Feyhollow. “Do either of you know a good place to grab food?”

She grew quiet as Ella started on the topic of their Ekans. “I agree,” Leisy said after the other girl had finished, sighing before brightening up again. “Why don’t we feed them separately? If we're getting takeout, we can let them out a distance from the group, or return all the other Pokemon for a moment to feed them.”

Upon noticing the Skuntank, Leisy gasped but stayed rooted to her spot. Skuntanks were notorious for being belligerent animals, and she didn't think it was best to run forward and offer help to the caged animal that was most likely more scared than she was.

"What do we do?" Leisy asked, turning to her friends with distressed eyes.

Shanae looked over at the Aron, following his gaze toward its destination: A crystalline stretch that washed into an underground lake that glistened in the light. The waters seemed completely smooth, a picture of perfection unmarred by civilization. Although devoid of Pokemon, Shanae was completely sure that there was life inside the lake.

“C’mon Turris,” she whispered, turning her feet towards the lake and starting over. Feet sliding over impeccably smooth ice, Shanae made to restrain her eagerness, holding herself back and keeping a slow pace as she walked across the ice. It took much longer than it would if Shanae had walked over normally, but soon enough but she and her Aron were standing before the calm lake that was situated at the edge of the ice.

“It’s like a picture,” she remarked as she stared into the deep blue of the ice that seemed never-ending, stretching down into a navy abyss. “Don’t suppose we’ll find Wailord here, will we?” Shanae joked, knowing full well that the mammothian creatures only resided in salt water environments, but she couldn’t help but let her mind drift to the possibilities as to what made its home at the bottom of the secret lakes in Mount Atana. Goldeen and Feebas were obvious answers, as were their evolutions, but perhaps even the rare fossil Pokemon called the depths their home.

Bending down, Shanae stuck a finger into the water.

A disgusting smell drove all thoughts of supper from her mind. Clamping her hand over her mouth and gagging, she looked over in alarm. A few feet away from the group was an iron cage. From behind the bars, a Skuntank glared out at them.

Leisy Takigawa

— Feyhollow Town —

The almost-tangible stench wafted over in heavy waves, and Leisy brought her sleeve to her nose to block it out. “Let’s return most of you for now,” she said, addressing her Pokemon.

Returning Naunet and Devinco, Leisy was left with her trusty Fletchling sitting on her shoulder. Scratching him lightly under his chin, Leisy looked back to her friends. “Maybe we should go over and use a stick or something to unlatch the cage,” she suggested with a thoughtful frown. “No good trainer would leave their Pokemon in a cage instead of their Pokeball, and especially not a cage like this in the middle of nowhere.”

Still, the Skuntank was a force to be reckoned with. Eyes flashing and spittle flying as it snarled and growled, its dagger-like pupils trained on the group of girls, it looked more like a bear than a mere skunk. Resisting the urge to shrink away, Leisy took the first step forwards, eyes scanning the floor for some sort of natural tool to unhook the cage latch with.

Shanae Eller

— Atana Mountain Range —

“Cold,” Shanae said, withdrawing her finger and sniffing the now-wet phalange. “Doesn’t smell like anything. Maybe a little briney.” Snorting at his trainer’s antics, Turris plopped down beside his trainer and waited patiently

Shanae, on the other hand, was still absorbed in her little world. Dabbing the liquid to her tongue, Shanae frowned when a distinctively bitter and tangy taste touched her tongue. “Definitely a little salty. Wonder how that’s possible?”

Her mind whirled with possibilities. Shanae had read up on the rumours about the mountains and the common Pokemon around the place, but she had neglected to read about the mountain’s history. Counting in its proximity to the coast — mere twenty minutes or so — the mountain range had most likely once been underwater. As the plates continued shifting, however, the range had risen higher and higher, thus transforming from sealand to the towering Atana mountains.

“Meaning that this range,” Shanae thought, eyes lighting up, “may well still have marine life.”

Vivian put down her petilil at the edge of the stench before raising her arm to her face where she buried her nose in her elbow, trying to hide from the smell as she moved towards the cage.
She held her breath for as long as she could, then eventually she had to let a little air in.
She couldn't take it and charged back to her petilil and fresh air.
"I'm sorry." she mouthed to her friends as she shook her head in disappointment.

She had noticed something though. This skuntank was a mother and hidden in her fur behind her were two stunky's. That's why the smell must be so bad, she thought to herself. Not only is there three of them but that must be a protective mother. Even the poachers couldn't handle their smell.

"Be careful!" Vivian shouts to her friend as she nears the cage. That skuntank still looked very angry.

Next came zubat, things were going well until it confused the big bear. The confused ursaring nearly bowled over both the trainers before heading straight out off the moving train. Azerus had to act fast, it took all three of his pokemon to contain the rampaging bear but he managed to keep it on the train. After that the old scruffy man ended the battle and called Azerus the victor. It turned out he didn't have a pokeball for the ursaring, they were just really good friends.

Even though the victory gave Azerus the right to kick the man out of the trailer, he didn't. Instead he shared his remaining rations and supplies as they sat around and talked with all their Pokemon out.

Leisy Takigawa

— Feyhollow Town —

Taking her jacket off, Leisy tied it around her face to make a makeshift mask. Although it was heavy and awkward, it reduced the stinging Skuntank gas to a minimum, thus allowing her to move forwards. Her eyes scanned the forest floor, looking for a fallen stick of sorts to aid her in her rescue mission. Toward her left Leisy’s eyes seized on a stick poking out from beneath a bush, and the girl quickly made her way over.

Leisy picked up tbe branch, looking it over. While not the sturdiest of things, the stick would do for prodding the lever of the cage into submission. “I got a branch,” Leisy said quietly to her friends, looking at them but keeping an eye on the agitated Skuntank,

At this moment Vivian let go of the breath she was holding in a loud exhale, charging back to the perimeter where their Pokemon were waiting to catch her breath. “Try using your jacket!,” Leisy called to her friend before approaching the cage with Ella. The Skuntank, further agitated by Vivian’s sudden movements, had fluffed up all her fur.

Her, Leisy realized as her eyes drifted down towards the two extra balls of fur gathered by their mother’s side. Spotting the lever that would initiate the cage’s opening, Leisy wedged the stick into position and looked to Ella for help pushing the stick down.

Archie was a bit hurt from the slash attack, as this was a evolved Pokemon and did a bit of hefty damage, but that never exactly stopped the puppy Pokemon. The little orange furred critter was known to be quite a bit stubborn, similarly to Corphish. Drawing closer with deep growls, the dog like Pokemon barked aggressively toward the over-sized cat. Between the three Pokemon, they appeared to be wearing down the bigger Pokemon. The feline hissing through heavier breaths as its ruby eyes glared between the three, creme fur bristling as its claws raked the ground beneath it. As a heap of ember was spewed at the cat, the Persian's eyes narrowed, snorting angrily and gave a low 'mrrrreow' sound as if saying 'I won't forget this' before turning tail and running off.

Snorting in victory after giving a few barks after the Persian, Archie turned toward Tora, wagging her fluffy tail happily. Obviously looking for praise. Tora sighed in relief as she stepped closer and knelt down to stroke the top of the fluffy head of her Pokemon."Good job Archie. Thank you for the hard work. You too Corphish and Bounsweet. Couldn't have done it without you both." she praised with a thankful gentle smile.

Sirius on the other hand, was timidly swimming about, hoping Des would hurriedly cross the river before more Basculin came around. Although it could regenerate its limbs no problem, that didn't mean it didn't hurt when they get bitten off. Turning to see the little water bug attempt to free the little blue mouse, the starfish pointed one of its limbs and gentle bubbles shoot out in a attempt to lend its assistance.

Azerus Jr

Atana mountain range

24

Azerus was fresh off the train and enjoying that fresh mountain air. He had only been walking for a short time towards a poke stop when a small group of sharp and shiny red and black Pokemon scurried into a distant cave entrance. Azerus didn't get a very good look but his interest was piqued.
Full of excitement and an eager curiosity he charged up the steep slope towards where he saw the pokemon disappear.

It took longer than he planned, it was exhausting running up hill and his legs ached as he panted heavily. Nearing the entrance he had to stop to catch his breath. It was dark inside so once again he required the faint glow of his pokedex. As he slowly made his way into the cavern the air took a deep chill. The cold almost being enough to drive away the young unprepared trainer. Almost.

There was the sound of scuffling in the dark. Azerus frantically spun around to see it but couldn't. What ever it was moved too fast. Azerus found himself at a fork in the passage. He was unsure which way to go when suddenly the silence was cut by a wailing cry of a distressed pokemon.
"Sphhheal" it moaned. The sounds echoing from the path on the left.
Azerus ran blindly down that path and around the corner to find a small open cavern. It was so cold now his skin was starting to feel numb. The sheen of ice reflected off the floor. Cowering in the far corner was a fat round spheal, but it was not alone. It had cried because of the multiple sharp pointy pawniard clinging to it a slicing it up. The Spheal cried out again. Helpless and in pain. The pawniard were small but they seemed tough with all their blades. It was a Pokemon Azerus wouldn't mind having on his team. Drawing a pokeball from his belt he enlarged it and let out a sad sigh.
'What a waste.' He thought to himself as he aimed right between all the sharp blade pokemon.
With a precision hit the pokeball zapped the spheal away from its attackers. It gave no struggle to escape and was content in its new ball. Azerus had apparently not only angered the little pawniard 'a but also the bisharp that led them.

Dropping down behind Azerus the Sword Blade Pokémon blocked his exit and gave a merciless command. The pawniard's began to circle Azerus and in an instant his own Pokemon were at his side, ready for once again another outnumbered battle.

Ella did as Leisy suggested, taking off her jacket and tying it over her face. The stench of the fumes lingered in the back of her throat, but at least she could get closer to the trapped Pokemon - the three trapped Pokemon.

"Shh, it's ok," she whispered to the Skuntank, who growled and spat at her as the two babies huddled closer. In other circumstances, she'd have loved to see a Stunky or Skuntank... just not like this, not locked up, angry and afraid. "We're going to get you out of there."

With watering eyes, she cautiously studied them, edging closer and helping Leisy push the stick down.

Cillian Weiss

— Feyhollow Town —

The moon was bright in the sky as Cillian clambered over yet another log, eyes peering through the dark. As neither of his Pokemon were built for stealth, Cillian had returned them in hopes of finding Pokemon more easily now that the air had quieted. After he had left Damian’s company, Cillian had located a local diner and ordered some food while researching Feyhollow on his Pokedex. According to the information he gathered, Feyhollow was the home to such Pokemon as Poison, Rock, and Ground-types — an improvement from Central, but they’d also managed to lose the valuable Water and Fire types. Which suited Cillian just fine since he already possessed both those types.

On the other hand, the “highlight” of Feyhollow seemed to be the presence of Fairy-type Pokemon — a disappointment to Cillian since he had much more rather prefered to be in a location with an abundance of the rarer and much more interesting Dark, Ghost, Fighting, or Dragon-types. In fact Cillian had no desire to capture a Fairy-type, despite its inborn immunity to the fierce Dragon-types that held a special place in everyone’s heart and mind due to their power; Cillian had never made plans to capture a Fairy-type, and he wouldn’t start today.

Now, he thought, eyes stopping on a peculiar bump in the forest floor that seemed to rise awkwardly much like if there was… A cave, Cillian thought with glee, changing course and heading over quietly.

Shanae Eller

— Atana Mountain Range —

Shanae looked to her Aron with a grin, which the metal Pokemon returned with a flat, icey-blue eyed stare as his trainer stood up. “Do you know what this means, Turris?” Shanae asked her Pokemon excitedly. “This means that Pokemon that are commonly found around the sea may very well live here! This means that this lake we see right here might somehow empty out into the ocean! This means that,” Shanae paused, taking a breath as her eyes sparkled with realization, “there might be Wailord in this lake!”

Turris waited patiently for his trainer to realize her mistake.

“Er, well, if they fit,” Shanae amended, frowning as she looked at the lake dejectedly. “Wailmer would. Wailord… It’d be hard, but not impossible.” Shanae sighed, crouching back down to look at the shadowy water. “I guess I still have some journeying to go before I get that Wailord, huh? Been wanting some sort of Mascot for the Guild, but the ye ‘ol Plusle and Minum duo don’t really have any ‘Oomph’ factor anymore, if you know what I mean,” Shanae said, trailing off into rambles now. “I mean sure having the two iconic Pokemon is nice, but I wanna give some other Pokemon a try, ‘ya know? Like a team of Ledyba, or Furrets — they’re awfully big and cute — or, heck, even a host of Skitties pack more of a punch than Plusle and Minum. The cute factor — and how much people make streaming adorable videos of them online — ”

Shanae knit her brows together, eyes squinting as she looked into the ice with a frown. Is that shadow… coming closer?

♪♫♪ Cecilia "Cici" Taylor ♪♫♪

Location: Feyhollow Town

Feyhollow forest truly was a magnificent place at night... Cici raised her head to the starlit sky, her movements slow and swaying like those of a marionette as she wandered along, her song drifting on the breeze. The Sylveon trotted by her side, one of her ribbons gently gripping her hand. Around her, tiny lights danced, giggles filling the air.

Reaching the end of one of her songs, she inhaled the scent of the wildflowers and let out a childlike, carefree laugh. "It's beautiful," she said in that sleepy murmur. "This place is so beautiful, so perfect... Why was I afraid before?"

Something was still trying to bubble up beneath the surface, though, threatening to disrupt the peace, sending a spark of tension through her body as if she had to fight something. Whatever it was, the Sylveon quelled it, squeezing her hand. The tightness left her muscles.

"Sylveon..." Cici turned her glowing gaze towards the Pokemon. "You'll be a good friend. I know you will." She stumbled, her legs almost giving out from sudden fatigue, but the Sylveon caught her, helping her to regain her balance. It was alright. The fairies were here, always here, never to abandon her...

As Cici continued along her aimless way, once again singing, the glow of the Morelulls intensified.
