@Kuro Well, dislike is a strong word really. I more nothing it. Most people have some kind of "this is how I got my username story" but this username was created out of my arsh. Specifically for the reason, my other online usernames are connected to old roleplaying characters, but no one else knows that and it was used for drama. (Because it's the internet, so of course it was.) So, I ironically created something more random to avoid those types of pricks.

And in all honesty, it feels like that would've been more appropriate action when I actually doing more things here, and not doing half my roleplays off site. >.>

@SleepingSilence I can appreciate your dilemma. This is a rough one, simply because we attach sentimental value to things all too often. It helps to make a connection.

I started using Gunther in the summer of 2003 when playing PlanetSide. I envisioned myself a "German" mercenary and wanted a Germanic sounding name. I've used it often since then. In 2002, while playing EverQuest, I created a character named, "Landain", short for "Land Ain't fer Sale." It was my intention to create a surname for that name at Level 20 like, "T'fersal". But I lost the character and could not retrieve it, but I still use the name. Whenever Gunther is taken, I use Landain. I even have been known to use the name, "GuntherLandain" from time to time.

I have not once used a human image for a character I have created, even if they were human, in general always avoiding images. I do, admittedly, prefer to do so solely describe a character by writing unless it is extremely appropriate for them to have their own image.

Most of my characters are veterans, as am I. But I do change up their personalities from time to time. They are not all mirror images of me.
