You really want to know what I look like? This bandanna stays on, partner. I've got too many enemies to be taking it off anytime soon. Just know I'm a thirtysomething moderately good-lookin' East Asian man of average height and athletic build. But you knew that already, didn't you. When I'm on the clock, which is always, I wear brown boots, white trousers, blue shirt, white hat, red bandanna to protect my face. And of course my gun belts. I might as well be naked without 'em.

I ain't got none of those fancy superpowers or equipment. Just two .45 wheelguns and the ability to shoot a flea off a dog's back. Oh yeah, I guess I'm better in a fistfight than your average man, just using the basics of boxing and rasslin'. And now that I think about it I'm something of an expert with your standard everyday lariat, and your standard everyday motorcycle, and at tracking, and just maybe I speak English, Spanish, and Mandarin fluently. Hell, I even play the gee-tar a little if you're so consarned interested in everything I do.

My history really starts off with my great-grandfather Jimmy Leong back in 1941. Just another teenage kid in Gotham City's Chinatown. That is, until he helped the man the call the Vigilante end a major gang war between the Tongs. Vigilante was one of the very first of the masked men, fella by the name of Greg Sanders. A country singer, of all the damn things, but before that a genuine Wyoming lawman. When his career took off and he came to the big city he brought that same sense of justice, and took on my great-grandpa as a sidekick. Jimmy ended up with the rather unfortunate superhero name “Stuff the Chinatown Kid”, but stayed loyal to Greg.
When World War Two came to America, Vigilante and, ugh, Stuff ended up on a team with a few others. The Seven Soldiers of Victory. Of course, there were actually nine of them. They didn't count the two Chinese members, my great-grandpa being one of them. Figures, don't it. They did a lot of work at home and abroad during WWII, a lot of it still classified- much as I'd love to tell you details I honestly don't know most of them. At the end of it all, Greg and Grandpa Jimmy returned home. They fought a few racketeers here and there but for the most part the war had quenched their thirst for adventure. They retired to a ranch out in Warpath, New Mexico, right directly on the border. Greg recorded a few albums, opened a small chain of steakhouses, lived quietly. Great-grandpa went out to college in Coast City, got himself a degree, a good job at Ferris Aircraft, a wife, a family. Then Greg Sanders died in 2005, or maybe just disappeared. Didn't have any kids of his own, so his will stipulated the ranch and his not-inconsiderable fortune passed into the hands of the Leong family. I was born on that ranch in 2020, grew up working on it. I spent most of my days roping cattle, riding motorcycles, or shootin' varmints, got pretty good at all three. My mother and my father had big hopes for me, sent me out to law school at Ivy University. The Leong name was big in Warpath and the town was growing quickly. My mother was elected mayor in 2046. I remember being so damned proud.
Then came E-Day. I was back home on the ranch studying for the bar, it would be my second attempt. Can't pretend was a good student. I remember hearing a lot of fuss about the Legion of Doom. Wish I had paid more mind. I remember hearing the explosions, looking out the window and seeing the smoke rising above the desert. My dad had left to go bring my mother lunch at City Hall, a few miles down the road. The whole building got blown up and them with it. No one is really sure who did it- maybe a Sinestro Corps guy flying overhead en route to someone else, maybe one of the cartels working for the Legion, maybe one of the local supervillains like El Papagayo. I wish I knew. Then all the news coming in, the fighting all over the world. By nightfall that day, I knew Mom and Dad were gone, a lot of countries had fallen, the League and the military were tied up. I can't say I felt rage, or anger, or whatever. Just that I had to do something to help. Maybe that was great-grandpa Jimmy looking down on me and prodding me on, his blood running through my veins. Hell, maybe Greg was too.
I didn't even pack a bag. We had kept Greg Sanders' original hat and bandanna, they were prized family heirlooms. I grabbed those out of the living room- I felt confident that if Greg Sanders were here now he would fully approve. I grabbed my gunbelts, my rope, got on my motorcycle and didn't stop driving until I reached the nearest city I knew to have a Justice League member operating there. Phoenix, Arizona. The streets were a warzone- I had to fight my way through gunmen, robots, ninjas, zombies, God only knows what else before I finally found that one dang overworked superhero. I didn't know what else to say so I kept it simple. “I'm Vigilante. I'm here to help.”
It's not like the League was in a position to refuse. My swearing-in ceremony was under fire, in a looted Mexican restaurant with broken windows and smoke damage. None of that fancy stuff, just had to get to work. I told you I wasn't never much for school- I had to learn how to be a superhero the hard way. I helped clear Phoenix, then helped them track Solomon Grundy down in the desert- that fight ended in a draw- then headed out to Star City for the big push to liberate the besieged portions of the city. Then just like that the cease-fire came and nobody was quite sure what to do next.
Warpath isn't a big enough town yet for a Hall of Justice or a full garrison, but the League still needs someone there. I was familiar with the area so I was the natural choice. Mexico, a scant hundred yards from downtown, isn't looking too steady these days. The town has grown exponentially with the steady flow of refugees from Central and South America, as well as those looking to profit from the situation. Smugglers of people and drugs are rife there. Not to mention the spies for the Legion, trying to find a few scraps of info to sell off to one of the big names. I don't look kindly on any Legion infiltration in my town.
I've got a few other low-ranking League members under me, good men and women, cowpoke types like myself. Round here they call us the Rough Bunch. Our job is simple, report to the Watchtower on the situation in Mexico and keep order. If this here Cold War goes hot we're the very first line of defense. We don't expect to last long in that case but we're damn sure we're going to take some Legionnaires along to Hell for the company.

Grunt. Kayda doesn't make many decisions, she just goes where she's pointed and does what she's told.

Kayda stands at 5ft 7in, with light brown eyes. Her body is covered in tattoos, all self designed and paid for, that she claims all represent a part of her or her life. She's usually seen with darker punkish clothing, preferring dark colors in general. Her choker is almost never missing from her body, as it is where her costume and armor spring from, nanomachines forming everything in milliseconds.

Super Powers
Kayda's main super power is the ability to absorb, release, and gain strength from heat. She can absorb heat from anything that actually possesses heat to absorb, though it grows tougher as said object is farther away from her, with her being able to absorb all the heat almost instantaneously from things she's touching and taking longer from there. Technically she can draw heat from anything she can see, but it starts taking minutes when things get 100 feet away.
Kayda grows stronger the more heat she has stored in her body, her physical attributes and resistances increasing. From 100-500 C (or 200-930 F) she's operating at peak human performance in all physical aspects. From 500-1000 C (930-1830 F) she's reached super human levels, and conventional weapons have ceased to have an effect upon her. 1000+ C she grows ever more capable of going toe to toe with the heaviest hitters in the DC universe. Kayda has no limits on how much heat she can store in her body, and if she could get to a level close to the surface of the sun, she would become one of the most destructive forces on the planet. Fortunately, the amount of time and effort it would take for her to get to that level without actually firing her into the sun isn't feasible to undergo without extremely drastic measures and resource expenditure.
Kayda can use the heat stored in her body in a few ways. She can expel it in a certain direction or way out of her body, allowing her to have fire attacks, or achieve a form of flight. She can use the thermal energy stored in her body to rapidly accelerate her healing. She can expend it to increase her physical traits beyond what they're passively at, depending on her stored heat. If she achieves a high enough level of heat (close to the 1000+ C) she merely uses her thermal energy to conduct the energy for all her bodily functions, and ceases needing to eat, breathe, drink, etc etc.
Kayda is completely immune to all heat based forms of damage. She could dive into a lake of lava and emerge unmarked.
Kayda can, theoretically, control the temperature around her and the temperature of various objects she sees, but lacks the control to do that finely without actively touching or focusing on an object.
Skills
Kayda has received extensive training in melee combat and how to best use her powers in conjunction with that from the Markovs. She's trained in various forms of martial arts and how to best use her abilities to enhance them.
Kayda is a skilled artist, and practices it on her down time.
Kayda is trained in free running and parkour, and is able to move quickly through almost any environment seamlessly.
Equipment

Kayda is, unsurprisingly, very vulnerable to cold. Deprive her of her heat and she begins to weaken. In addition, it is possible to keep her at merely a peak human level by keeping her out of areas where she has a lot of heat to draw upon, and in that period she is only a little better than the average human.
Kayda's biggest issue with her powers is her inefficiency in expending the heat necessary for her powers. Kayda's entire life before E-day was spent in Markovia. She never had a reason or desire to go anywhere else. Markovia was home, and it was safe. She didn't want to explore the world when she had everything she'd need right here. Her powers hadn't activated yet, and likely would never have if the Legion hadn't enacted its plans. Even with all the wondrous experiences she's gotten and amazing people she's met because of it, she wishes that the Legion had never had the chance to enact its plans. That E-day had never happened. That she still had everything she had ever known. She still had everything she had loved.
She was preparing to go to college when E-day happened, and her world was turned upside down. She was listing off everything to her mother (who had demanded a third check of everything she had, just to be sure) when their phones lit up with alerts. News reports began flying in from all directions about the hundreds of invasions and conquests going around the world, the world's many heroes unable to contain all of it. Within hours, governments all around the world had fallen, and reports arrived of an army cutting its way through Markovia on its way to the capitol, despite the best efforts of the King and his soldiers.
Kayda and her parents tried to run. But they were too slow and there was no where to run. The invaders had arrived, encircled Markovburg, were destroying the city. In the chaos that followed, Kayda would watch her parents and friends get cut down by monsters and soldiers from another dimension and would realize her powers. She doesn't remember much from that day. An intense heat inside her, straining and clawing to be released. A few clear moments and flashes of emotion. Fear. Grief. And a burning hatred. She hated them. All of them. The Legionnaires who desired such destruction. The heroes who were too weak to permanently stop them before it got this bad. That hatred flowed through her, consuming her every being, until it exploded outwards in a wave of heat and flames. Monsters died, and Kayda laughed. If the heroes couldn't muster the guts to do what must be done, she would. She'd kill them. Kill them all and burn their ashes.
She would run around the city then, wildly drawing in heat and releasing it in an explosion of flames. She didn't have a goal, or a reason. She just wanted someone to pay.
That was how Terra found her, laughing wildly as she drew in heat to throw it at another enemy. Kayda was mad with heat rush and bloodlust, and would certainly die without someone saving her. The other girl would have to subdue Kayda with her powers, dragging Kayda away as the city fell. As they were taken away, Kayda began to weep. Everything was gone, destroyed by the monsters or burned by her own flames. She had lost everything, and the people that were supposed to protect the innocent had failed. They had failed them all. Terra did her best to comfort her as they retreated. It helped, if only a little.
That was the beginning of her entrance into the Markov family, and her loyalty to it. She would be trained in how to use her powers, and how to fight, and they would gift her with her suit. She and Terra would become a team, before both being sent to officially join the League and begin to help in the shadow war against the Legion.
Kayda is considered one of the more hawkish members of the League, openly supporting and advocating for the execution of villains and criminals who have proven that they will never change their ways or taken the lives of others. She spares the foes that she deems worthy of being spared, and seeks to kill those who have killed innocents, or proven to be life long villains.

Vera is the lowest member one can be while still being a Legionnaire, and serves as the street muscle for the organization.

Vera has the aura of someone whose always expecting the worst to happen to them. Her icy blue eyes are constantly scanning the area, her skinny body (evidence of a life with never enough to eat and standing at five foot five inches) slightly hunched and ready to fight or flight in an instant, and she flinches at sudden movements that she doesn't expect. Her clothes are endlessly repaired by her own hand and accessorized by her own hands. She only recently got the two piercings (to her lip and upper eyebrow) to add some form of accessory that wasn't self-made and screaming 'I live in poverty'. Whenever she has to cover her face and assume her 'Hellraiser' alias (a necessity insisted upon by the Legion) she quickly pulls a ski mask over her face or ties a bandana over it.

Super Powers
Vera's super power revolves around being able to summon things from Trigon's dimension. It can be categorized into three types of summoning.
Traditional- Vera summons a creature from Trigon's dimension to fight for her. These range from weak (small creatures like imps that are only suitable for information gathering or jobs that require minimal fighting. An average human could take them out and Vera can summon a hundred of these if she so desires), to strong (creatures that put up a fight, like orcs or Djinni. Average humans cannot stand against these things, and super heroes are required. Vera can summon three dozen of these if she so desires), to powerful (creatures that can devastate entire cities like dragons, or even nations if she summons a powerful enough one. These usually require a team of super heroes to face, and Vera can only summon one of these things, and nothing else, at a time.)
Posession- Vera summons a creature from Trigon's dimension into herself, temporarily gaining one specific power of that creature. It could be anything: invisibility, pyrokinesis, increased physical attributes, super human durability, so on so forth. Vera can only have one creature and one power active inside of her at a time, and if she is possessed she cannot summon anything else. This process takes minutes for Vera to properly find and summon the creature she wants, or seconds if she just randomly pulls a creature from Trigon's dimension into her and hopes for the best.
Portal opening- Vera can open a portal to Trigon's dimension, only allowing environmental effects through, such as lightning, water, a falling boulder, lava, fire, smoke, poisonous gas, so on so forth. She uses it as a sort of pseudo elemental magic, and a way to dispose of things permanently.
Skills
Since joining the Legion, Vera has received extensive training in firearms and is a fairly good shot.
Vera is a pretty good driver.

Vera's life has been one of struggle and pain for as long as she can remember. She grew up in a slum apartment in Manhattan, with a physically and emotionally abusive father. Her mother had died in child birth, and her father turned to alcohol to deal with his grief, blaming her for her mother's death. From birth to 15 years of age, she suffered under a hair trigger temper, the constant repetition that she was useless and would never amount to anything, and beatings whenever she failed to do something. At times it seemed like she was only being beaten because she failed to die that day, her existence merely reminding him of her mother's death. At night she would dream that one of the many super heroes would come and save her, beat her father down and take her away from this place. Some times it was superman, gently floating down to take her in his arms. Others it was the Green Lantern, his iron will beating back her father's hate.
They never came, and Vera was only saved when she went to school with one too many bruises and CPS was called. Her father was taken away for child abuse, put into jail by the mountain of evidence at their home and her own testimony, and Vera would enter the foster care system. Within a month she'd been relocated to a foster home. It was a small home, still in Manhattan, with no other children. The wife and husband seemed inviting and kind. Vera began to think she'd leave the darkness of her past behind her, and be able to move on. She was wrong. Five months down the line from the first time she arrived, her foster father would come into her room and rape her. Her silence was kept with the promised retribution of violence if she told anyone. He manipulated her perfectly from there on out, prodding her into one emotional outburst after the other. Her accusations, months later when she had gathered her courage, were brushed off as the angry and flailing attempts of a teenager to get revenge. When he came back at the end of those five months, Vera cut him with a knife she had gotten and fled the house with nothing but the clothes on her back.
She'd spend the next two years on the streets, barely surviving. She couldn't get a job because of how she looked and her age. She tried begging for street change, but got only just enough to eat. Her clothes and shoes were ragged and endlessly repaired by hand. Still, she managed to scrape by a living, if only just. She had a group of people who were also trapped on the streets, people she thought she could trust. That trust proved misplaced when a goodhearted Samaritan bought her new clothes and shoes, gave her a meal, and gave her a wad of cash to 'help get her life back on track' as she returned triumphantly to her friends, to help split the money, they turned on her like snakes. When she wouldn't give them more than a fair share, they beat her down to take it, and all of the new things she had. Soon she was left with nothing more than the raggedy clothes on her body, new cuts and bruises, a rapidly blackening eye, and the last of her conscience dying inside of her.
Vera hated this world. Hated how the heroes atop it claimed to be champions for all, but ignored the subtle cesspit of every day evil below them. Hated how grief turned people into monsters and how desperation turned them into beasts. Hated how no matter how much you tried to do the right thing, the world was just going to punch you in the face and kick you while you were down for it. Most of all, she hated how weak she was. Hated how she could never fight back. No more, she promised herself. She was going to seize the power necessary to keep herself from every feeling like this again, and she was going to seize it by any means necessary.
She'd spend the next year going through the criminal underground, looking for something to increase her power. Some form of magical artifact, cybertech, a book on how to unlock her chi, anything. She didn't find anything like that, but she did stumble upon Drak. The little dragon was kept in a cage in a black market shop, ready to be sold for the purported 'magical properties' consuming his flesh would given. It would be a cold day in hell before Vera let something else languish powerless at the the hands of the cruel again. She broke him free and shot the shopkeeper and his guards when they tried to stop her. The two fled, and Drak has been with her ever since. He offers nothing more than his companionship and love, and that's all Vera asks from him.
When E-day came and rocked New York, Vera was one of the few people to run towards the fighting and the devastation. She didn't care about the innocents being hurt or killed. She just wanted a chance to seize the power dropped by those heroes or villains slain in the conflict. Vera found the power she was looking for that day. Or rather, it found her.
Watching from his dimension, Trigon had been tracking her progress carefully for a couple of years. She was distantly related to him by virtue of being the several times great granddaughter to one of his sons. Her need for power and control was points in her favor, as was her running into a conflict that vastly outmatched her. He wanted to see where she went, what she could offer him if she got into a place of high enough power. He offered her a way to draw on the power of his realm, in return for a favor he would ask from her later on. Vera readily agreed and the pact, with her connection to Trigon being made strong, was sealed.
Vera would spend the next five years working her way through the Legion's ranks to start on her way to power. They weren't like the League, falsely claiming to be heroes while ignoring the multitude of crime and villainy beneath them for the flashier shows of fighting evil that they did. The Legion was honest. They just wanted power for themselves, at any cost. You could always trust they would put their own best interests first, and that refreshingly honest dishonesty is what Vera trusts about them. Its why she's still in their ranks now, because they offer the path to power, if only she can take it.

Vera owns an apartment building in Manhattan, bought from the old owner with cursed gems from Trigon's realm. The apartment building only has four occupants besides Vera and Drak.
Gilbert: A smith from Trigon's realm, Vera originally summoned him to help her build a gun for any situation, she found herself endeared to his eccentric (and overly fond of explosives) personality. He built a belt that would tie him to this world, and has stayed at her apartment ever since, building her things so long as she brings him the resources. Vera gave him the nickname Gilbert after being completely unable to pronounce his real name.
The Twins: Soldiers from one army or another of Trigon's, Vera summoned them to help her in assaulting a low level Leaguer's place. With their super human physical attributes, Gorn's (pictured left) nigh indestructibility and Storn's (pictured right) ability to cast elemental and physical enhancement spells, they were too good to just leave to random chance to summoning again. Plus, they were adorably shy and awkward outside of combat. She had Gilbert make them belts too, after making sure they wanted to stay as well. As a side note, despite their high skills in combat, they are both terrible at video games revolving around combat.
Frank: Summoned to help her with an assassination, which he performed perfectly and silently, Frank is the name given by Vera to the shadowy monster she keeps around. She likes him, she doesn't know why. When asked if he wanted to return home he meerely shook his head and pointed to the ground. Frank is completely mute, capable of blending into complete shadows perfectly, able to form solid blades and weapons from his shadow, and can move almost faster than the normal human reflexes can handle if he so chooses. He also has a soft spot for sappy romances, particularly The Princess Bride.

Marcus stands at 5ft 9in with the stance, confidence, and build of a life long soldier. Or at least, his body was designed to look like that. The majority of Marcus's body (excluding some of his internal organs, and face) have been replaced with cybernetics. He walks with the calm, unruffled, aura of a man who has fought in countless battles and wars and come out standing. His face still looks like that of a young man, deceiving people into thinking that he is twenty years younger than he actually is. His helmet is normally retracted into his armor, revealing his face.

Skills
Life long combatant: Marcus has been fighting or training to fight for more than twenty years now. He's extremely skilled at fighting, be it with guns, blades, fists, or armored combat.
Master of Preparation: Given enough time and resources, Marcus can figure out a way to hurt or neutralize anyone. It was what caught the attention of the Legion when he served them, a human dishing out successes super powered soldiers couldn't do, with nothing more than time and his wits.
Craftsman: Marcus is very talented at building, improving, and designing things. He has made numerous improvements upon his own cybernetics, and built a weapon specifically for a target on more than one occasion.

Super human physical traits: With his cybernetics, Marcus is capable of feats of strength and speed no human can hope to match. Normally this is settled at 40 tons and 90 mph at a dead sprint, but he can push himself to even further levels by upgrading his cybernetics.
Cybernetic eyes: Marcus' eyes have been replaced with advanced cybernetics, allowing him to have night vision, thermal vision, and to see into the UV spectrum. They can also zoom in on something, similar to a scope.
Super human reflexes and processing: Marcus can see, analyze, and react to a situation in a second, the cybernetics in his brain boosting his thinking and reaction times far beyond human level. His reflexes are fast enough to catch arrows mid-flight, and can be enhanced further if necessary.
Super human durability: Marcus' cybernetics can shrug off conventional gunfire, elemental effects, and melee attacks.
Self-repair: In the event that his cybernetics are damaged, Marcus can initiate a self-repair program to quickly fix himself and put him back in the fight.
Arm cannon: Built into his right arm, this railgun can fire a blast of energy so powerful it can knock Superman back. A beast of a weapon, it requires a second to prime before firing.
Various mundane weapons: Marcus likes to carry many weapons into battle and give himself as many options as possible. In addition to the blades stored in his left arm and knees and the gun he carries in his hands, Marcus typically carries a rifle on his shoulder, a gun in a chest holster, two guns in shoulder holsters, two guns in hip holsters, two guns in thigh holsters, and a final gun in his boot.
Near instantaneous learning: Being connected to the world wide web and having his ability to process information increased has given Marcus the ability to learn things like languages, advanced processes and theories, the composition of things, etc etc all in seconds.

[ ◈ ] B I O G R A P H Y
Born the only son to a military family, Marcus' life was decided for him before he even had a chance. He would be a soldier, and he would serve the United States. With that goal firmly set and noted, Marcus would spend his childhood and adolesence preparing for that. ROTC, weights, rifle training, anything and everything that could make him a more effective soldier. When he was 18, he joined the United States Marine Corp, and took to it like a fish to water. In the five years he served, he rapidly climbed the ranks and had his own command, fighting in the name of the United States of America. He would be dishonorably discharged after an incident where he ruthlessly sacrificed civilians to gain the advantage against insurgents, winning the battle but resulting in staggering civilian casualties. Following his dishonorable discharge, and his family subsequently disowning him, Marcus turned to mercenary work, offering his skills to the highest bidder.
He fought all over the world during those days, gathering a squad of similar soldiers around him as he did so. Their increasing success rate and brutal, ruthless, efficiency would attract the attention of the Legion of Doom, offering to pay them very well to help them with a plan. Marcus and his squad agreed, and so it was that on E-day Marcus and his squad were on the frontlines of the real war. The war to conquer and topple as many vulnerable governments as possible. With supervillains and monsters beside them, his squad cut its way through most of South America, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe, being taken almost instantaneously to wherever they were needed most.
Marcus almost felt sorry for the poor bastards they were conquering. They never had a chance, as concerned as the League and major heroes were with the first world nations and the earth's safety overall. He didn't feel sorry enough to not pull the trigger however, and never hesitated. Not even once. With the third world nations subjugated, any signs of resistance being put to the sword, Marcus and his squad turned their attention to attacking the more industrialized nations.
After more bloodshed and violence, a much stiffer resistance being met by the super hero protected and well armed nations, a peace was signed. Rather than being freed from their contract, Marcus and his squad were offered an extension. Their were many heroes still looking to cause rebellion in the lands conquered by the Legion, and many nations that still needed to be destabilized. The Legion could use someone of Marcus's skill and morals. With a steady pay ensured, and a proper challenge guaranteed, Marcus and his squad agreed.

A simple mission to assassinate a meta human with fire abilities could turn into a fight for his life and a hasty retreat if they can summon a Kryptonian to their aid. That unpredictability, that danger, is what Marcus lives for. He is going to die on the battlefield, there is no doubt in his mind of this. But he wants to see just how far he can go, how far he can push himself, before he finally dies.
He fought all over the world during those days, gathering a squad of similar soldiers around him as he did so. Their increasing success rate and brutal, ruthless, efficiency would attract the attention of the Legion of Doom, offering to pay them very well to help them with a plan. Marcus and his squad agreed, and so it was that on E-day Marcus and his squad were on the frontlines of the real war. The war to conquer and topple as many vulnerable governments as possible. With supervillains and monsters beside them, his squad cut its way through most of South America, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe, being taken almost instantaneously to wherever they were needed most.
Marcus almost felt sorry for the poor bastards they were conquering. They never had a chance, as concerned as the League and major heroes were with the first world nations and the earth's safety overall. He didn't feel sorry enough to not pull the trigger however, and never hesitated. Not even once. With the third world nations subjugated, any signs of resistance being put to the sword, Marcus and his squad turned their attention to attacking the more industrialized nations.
After more bloodshed and violence, a much stiffer resistance being met by the super hero protected and well armed nations, a peace was signed. Rather than being freed from their contract, Marcus and his squad were offered an extension. Their were many heroes still looking to cause rebellion in the lands conquered by the Legion, and many nations that still needed to be destabilized. The Legion could use someone of Marcus's skill and morals. With a steady pay ensured, and a proper challenge guaranteed, Marcus and his squad agreed.

Marcus has a squad of a dozen individuals, all cybernetically enhanced like him. They are all drawn from the Legion's armies, hand picked by Marcus himself for their ruthlessness and effectiveness in combat. He keeps the number at a dozen, replacing his lost soldiers as they die, finding that big enough to be effective but small enough to move quickly.
Marcus's base of operations is located in the mountains of Afghanistan, a fortress built into the solid rock. From there he and his squad deploy to wherever they're needed, train, build gear, and upgrade their cybernetics. It has a fully functioning workshop to build almost anything that Marcus could need, with a bay for requested resources to be brought in.

@MrDidact Yeah, I feel like outdated equipment is a lot of the character's appeal. Maybe in a really dire situation he'll upgrade and put some special bullets in his gun but not for day-to-day stuff.
Also thought I might add a Legion character but like I said I'm a bit rusty, might start out doing just one to find my roleplaying voice again.

You can make as many PCs as you like but there's no rush, you can take time to settle into the saddle once more. I'll PM you in a little bit with my thoughts on the ways he can be involved in the plot.

Since Alec as a Nobel-winning biochemist, is likely at least a bit older, but he could have been particularly academically accomplished and still been relatively young compared to other scientists before he changed. It's really up to you, but the 60-70 range would make sense. He could be older than that even.

The Green is the elemental force that connects all forms of plant life on earth and potentially the universe. Plant elementals such as Swamp Thing, Poison Ivy, and Solomon Grundy are able to experience The Green as a separate realm ruled by the Parliament of Trees. Years of being the solitary protector of Plant life on Earth has left the mind of Alec Holland somewhat fractured. The Swamp Thing no longer holds much value in human life seeing most of it as a danger to The Green. For now he is on the side of "good." But what in human nature can be defined as "good", really?

Not too long ago I read my first Swamp Thing story, The Root of all Evil. I really loved that book and the character of the Swamp Thing. I intend to read Saga of the Swamp Thing when I can.

@BrokenWashing Great sheet. I do see that there is mention of Grundy being connected to the Green on the wiki, but I'm not sure what the explanation for that is. Do you have any idea about that?
Beyond that, you could perhaps delve a bit more into Swamp Thing's history. Possibly mentioning his association with Justice League Dark or his archenemy Anton Arcane, but otherwise your sheet is good to go.

I have no clue about Grundy's canon associations but to me it makes sense. In most versions he was murdered in a swamp and came back to life, I believe the wiki mentioned something about how he could've become a full elemental had he not been tainted by the grey (the domain of rot and decay).
If you will allow, I would like my version of Swamp Thing to have not associated with any versions of Justice League up until this point. Apart from that, I will add to his history when I can.

Swamp Thing is your PC so you have control over that. I do think it's probably likely he has encountered say John Constantine beforehand though, considering Tefe Holland and all, even if he's never actually done any JL stuff.

@golani Yeah that'd be perfectly fine, it's your character after all. Donna Troy sometimes has a rather confusing origin though so I would agree that just making her Diana's blood sister is probably for the best.
Would you be ok with there being an NPC Leaguer, Darkstar, who is Donna's son with Terry Long? You have full control over the details of Donna's romantic life, but Darkstar could be explained as being a child she had with Terry before they divorced, if you wanted her to end up with someone else.

The very first position she filled was Polemarch of the Amazons, offering it to her younger sister. Donna was surprised by the offer, but immediately and graciously accepted. As her time was now spent training, planning and preparing the Queendom for war, Donna had little time for League business. Despite her best efforts, her attendance declined to the point where she was a member in name only.
And then war came…
For Donna it was her ultimate test. And she passed. Leading her sisters in battle time and time again she helped save Themyscira from utter destruction at the hands of the Legion and its allies. But the cost to the Amazons was enormous. Despite Donna’s best efforts, and even with members of the League standing shoulder to shoulder with the Amazons, much of Themyscira was damaged or destroyed by the Legion. And far too many of her sisters were dead or badly injured.
It was a solemn Donna that watched the ceasefire agreement signed by her sister. And even as it was implemented Donna, like many at the table, knew another war was coming. She had already vowed that the deaths of her sisters were not going to be in vain. And even as the Queendom started to rebuild, Donna knew she was already in a race against time to get the Kingdom ready for the next war.
But even as she planned and trained, Donna knew she was going to need more help. At first, she actually considered asking the United States for military assistance, but quickly rejected it. Instead, she turned to the Justice League. Despite being overwhelmed with other with other missions the Justice League was already coordinating as closely with the Queendom as they could. The best they could offer was to assign a member of the League to directly liaise with Themyscria. Donna took what she could get, and was shocked to find her son Robert assigned to the mission.
Donna had not seen her son for years, and needless to say, the relationship started off very rocky. Robert was not enthused to be “an errand boy” for the mother that never spent any time with him. But Donna wanted to make it work. She felt guilty at not keeping in touch with her son, and besides she was lonely. Her only person she saw regularly was her aide-de-camp, Juno. Even though she was close to Dianna, they were often apart on other tasks. And Donna really didn’t have time to date much. And so, Donna worked extra hard, and despite wanting to almost give up several times, she and Terry eventually reconciled. @golani The sheet is shaping up well so far. I would expand on what kind of attacks might still damage to Donna such as magic, energy attacks, etc. Does she have any resistance to small arms weapons? That kind of thing.

Themyscira would have been coordinating very closely with the Justice League during the opening days of the conflict and that would have continued up to the present day. They would have shared resources, collaborated on strategy, assisted each other etc. Darkstar could still serve as the liasion to Themyscira however.
As for her son's name, I leaned more toward the name Robert as that was their son's name in the comics but it's ultimately up to you. It's a minor quibble but I would perhaps change Themyscira to being referred to as a Queendom.
Finally, if you have time, I'd recommend that you and @Lucian collaborate on possible shared history for your PCs, as he plans to play a demigod who was raised on the island.

Standing at 5'4", Hannah is shorter than most of her peers and with a slender frame. She has waist length strawberry blonde hair, normally kept out of her face and tied in a loose bun, it has a natural curl but occasionally she will wear it poker straight. After the incident, she was left with yellow eyes like that of a snake, with a slit for an iris. She is incredibly self-conscious of it, and so continues to wear hazel coloured contacts - even if they do start to irritate her after a while. She would rather the discomfort than feel that she looks like a monster to people.
Hannah will almost always wear gloves - she is terrified of poisoning someone fatally with her touch.

Venom Generation - Snake Mutation - Hannah's can secrete and inject venom at will through retractable claws on her hands, which appear above her own fingernails. Her venom is incredibly advanced, carrying hemotoxic, neurotoxic, and cytotoxic properties simultaneously. This is the power that she struggles with the most, and as such, she developed a serum to lessen the effects and potency of her venom so that she could have more contact with others, without fear of hurting them. She will use this power to perform Venom Combat when necessary.
Advanced Regenerative Healing - Snake Mutation - With her snake mutation, Hannah's wounds heal faster than most others. It is by no means a miraculous and instant heal, but is remarkably faster than anyone else she knows. She has recently been trying to use her own advanced healing cells to create something for use in the field.

Tell me about yourself, Miss Russell.
Well, I once was a normal girl, living a normal life. I was on the path to success - my Bachelors and Masters in Advanced Chemistry under my belt, and only a few semesters away from my PhD. I had worked my way through an Internship at Wayne Enterprises too - developing non-lethal chemical weapons, and certain upgrades for a lot of the equipment used by the Justice League. A lot of it was top secret you know?
This sounds exciting for someone so young.
Of course! I was using my brain to benefit my Heroes... People like Diana Prince, and Barbara Gordon. The Justice League. I suppose it wasn't really a normal life after all, now that I think of it. It was a scary time, with the Legion an ever-present threat. There was always a reason to make more and to do better.
Do you ever feel like you put too much into your work, Hannah?
In a way. I worked hard - I wanted to prove myself, and to be honest being in those labs all day was exhilarating. I didn't want to be anywhere else. At just 25 I was creating the most magical, impossible things. I stayed at the lab 'til all hours of the night. On more than one occasion I fell asleep there...
That can't have been healthy...
It wasn't, you're right. I never really saw my family anymore. I... I didn't see my younger brother, Adam, a lot. I think things were hard for him.
When did you last see your family?
On my Father's birthday. But Adam didn't show. My Mother explained that he had fallen in with a tough crowd and she was worried about him and so I took off to find him.
That seems like a drastic measure to take, no?
Gotham at night, is still a scary place. I shouldn't have gone alone. I should have called someone to tell them where I was, but it was family, and I felt so guilty. He had reached out to me a few times for avice but I'd been so busy working. My baby brother was in trouble with some low life Gotham thugs... Maybe I could help him. I had with me a prototype I'd been working on, it was a capsule but I wasn't sure the formula was right.
Sounds like that shouldn't have been on your person - you said it was top secret work...
I shouldn't have had it. I know I shouldn't. It should never have left the lab, I just... I couldn't stand leaving work for one night to see my family. I had been planning to test it at my home lab that night... I never made it home. The fusion saved my life though - and also ruined it.

I remember driving around Gotham, it was so grey and it was heavily raining. I remember that. It was that wind that seems to be completely horizontal. I eventually found Adam, he was heading into some seedy looking club with some scary looking guys.
You said he'd been in trouble with Gotham Thugs?
I could see that he didn't want to go in there. I knew that I could help him - I could be like my Heroes, like Wonder Woman or Batgirl. I could help him, with the prototype I could save him.
A reckless decision, wasn't it?

So I headed downstairs after him, I just... I remember hearing arguing and then I heard a gunshot. They shot my brother, I knew it. Something came over me, I rushed in. I shouldn't have rushed in. I thought that if I broke the capsule the gas would take them down, I could use it and it would put them out for a while.
But you didn't want to kill them?
Goodness no! I wanted to save Adam, and then I would contact the police!
So what happened after that?
They jumped me first. It was all a blur, it was a big blur. I just remember the smell of incense in the room, cigars, and whisky. How it hurt when they twisted my arms behind my back. They didn't touch my purse but they spoke for a while. I wasn't listening, I was looking at Adam. I couldn't see him breathing. "Give the wench a scare, show her the babies..." That's what I heard. I heard him say it, I swear I did...
They dragged me out to the back. I did try to fight but they were too strong, and so they dragged me to a room with a tank. It was full of snakes.
How did it make you feel to see them?
Terrified. I don't know why he had so many. But... stranger things have happened in Gotham.
So then what happened, why did they attack you?
I can still hear the hissing. It was so loud, and they were all leaning up to me from in the tank. Desperate to get out. I think they were only trying to scare me. It was an accident, I think... The thugs threw me in the room and I fell on the tank somehow before they locked the door... The first one bit quickly. I could feel the heat of it's venom. It started stinging throughout my whole body - but then something else happened. I could smell the gas from the prototype... I must have smashed it when I landed see. It was just a chemical smoke, it was meant to stun people it reached but maybe the formula was all wrong. Like I said, I shouldn't have had it. But those chemicals mixed with the venom and something happened... When I came to, they were gone. The snakes were around me. I counted 5, they were huddled beside me - I don't know, almost like they were comforting me? But the thugs were gone... They just left me there. Maybe they thought I had died.
They had taken Adam's body too...
How did you feel when you left?
I came out of that room wrong. A monster.
It's been two years since it happened, how do you feel now?
Better. I feel like... Like I can help people. For a long time I felt like I was bad - that I was a monster and a killer and I did everything I could do get rid of this mutation. I was depressed, I shut myself away in my lab at Wayne and turned into a recluse. All I wanted to do was be myself - the old Hannah. I eventually was able to tone it down - the venom, and started to get my life back. I'm not as scared to be around people now. I mean I even have some friends here! Since joining the Justice League properly, I feel like I can make a difference.
And is that what you want? To make a difference?
More than anything. I want the world to be good, and whatever I can do to make that happen - I will do it.

Swearing to use her powers for good, swearing that she would never use them to purposefully hurt someone.
Once a lively, and spirited young woman, she is now much more reserved - for fear that she will get too close to anyone. She has a strong sense of right and wrong, and will always act in what she feels is the in the best interest for true justice. Zatara’s costume for the first decade of his career was a pianist tuxedo akin to his mothers (minus the fish net stockings of course), it never really settled on one individual look with hats, canes and vests cycling through.

Homo Magi
Being the daughter of Zantanna Zatara Rex has access to some of the most power magical genes in the world.
As is standard for the Zatara family at this point Zatara can perform magic by uttering the words backwards. His power level matches his mothers at similar age but unlike Zantanna, Rex isn’t constantly investigating magical occurrences and trying to improve his ability. But he does have a huge wealth of knowledge in the arcane arts.

Being a lifer in the league Rex is one of the most effective operator in the justice league of America, as much as he is regarded for his skill as magic user he’s also got quite a reputation for his managerial magic.
With nearly 20 years of jumping into the situations that should end the life of a non-meta-human he has a commendable knowledge of battlefield strategy especially against legion of doom forces.
Hand-to-hand experience
You don’t work alongside bat-brats, kryptonians and ex league of shadow assassins without learning how to throw a pretty fierce punch. And while Rex certainly isn’t doing flips like his spandex wearing team-mates his combat style can be much more physical than expected, when magic is added to the mix Rex can become deadly.

An heirloom from his father and one of the most powerful magical artefacts made in the last 200 years – this intricate has powerful magic crystal from gemword (love it when there’s some convient lore resource: dc.wikia.com/wiki/Gemworld). This magical item can teleport exactly one person to any place he thinks of almost instaneously, once opened and winded.

Shadowcrest is the ancestral home of the Zatara family. It is normally used as the place to practice magic and learn the secrets of the occult by Zatara and his daughter, Zatanna.
A mansion of vast mystical properties, it is not always situated in the same locale for extended periods of time. Mystical wards protect the mansion from unwanted trespassers, and other incantations are used to render it invisible to those untrained in the mystic arts. Located in Gotham county just outside Gotham city.
Being the daughter of Zantanna Zatara Rex has access to some of the most power magical genes in the world.
As is standard for the Zatara family at this point Zatara can perform magic by uttering the words backwards. His power level matches his mothers at similar age but unlike Zantanna, Rex isn’t constantly investigating magical occurrences and trying to improve his ability. But he does have a huge wealth of knowledge in the arcane arts.
Justice league member
Being a lifer in the league Rex is one of the most effective operator in the justice league of America, as much as he is regarded for his skill as magic user he’s also got quite a reputation for his managerial magic.
With nearly 20 years of jumping into the situations that should end the life of a non-meta-human he has a commendable knowledge of battlefield strategy especially against legion of doom forces.
Hand-to-hand experience
You don’t work alongside bat-brats, kryptonians and ex league of shadow assassins without learning how to throw a pretty fierce punch. And while Rex certainly isn’t doing flips like his spandex wearing team-mates his combat style can be much more physical than expected, when magic is added to the mix Rex can become deadly.
Jackson’s pocket watch
An heirloom from his father and one of the most powerful magical artefacts made in the last 200 years – this intricate has powerful magic crystal from gemword (love it when there’s some convient lore resource: dc.wikia.com/wiki/Gemworld). This magical item can teleport exactly one person to any place he thinks of almost instaneously, once opened and winded.

-It was made by a powerful British magician, who may or may not of written Alice in Wonderland, as to never be late.
-Virtually indestructible
-can take the appearance of generic watch (won’t turn into a rolex no matter what magic Rex uses.)
-if turned upside down and held out at arms reach it supposedly turns into a compass that points to what the user desires most. (after owning it for nearly all his life Rex finds that claim questionable.)
-time is always correct: no need to change for time zones or daylight savings

Zatara, you could say was one of the first justice babies. An offspring of a hero whom's entire life was going to be the preparation for a mantle and then the responsibility of it until their death. Rex was born on May 21st 2021 the first of many more to come.
He was the child of Zatanna Zatara, famous stage illusionist and powerful magic user, and Jackson Douglas a “detective in the occult. “and adept magician himself. Older beings in the magic community commented on the aura of Rex’s power from an early age and performing magic came as easily as speaking the words backwards.
Rex was in the fight from the day he could understand it and was a teen titans member at 15, 3 years later he would be one of the last leaders of the team before all the graduates had to go through the Titan academy. Meaning he was well acquainted and well-connected with who would go on to represent the league in its current day.
Now a full leaguer in an organisation gaining strength by the day Rex did everything he could to improve it, working closely with support and managerial staff to turn the Justice League into the super power it is today. He also worked with other homo-magi communities to create some sort of international organisation in the Justice League Council for Magical affairs which created a school for the magical arts at titan academy and gave magic users a political platform for the first in forever.
Having a superhero career spanning his entire adult life, Rex has become quite accustomed to battle, loss and sacrifice. Losing many of his friends in the early days of the war the quickly aging wizard only hardened in his efforts, becoming of the most respected active superheros on the eastern seaboard, with special efforts in the magical and occult societies of Gotham, Bludhaven, Metropolis and New-York.

@tech It's a very well-done sheet. Is Jackson Douglas an original creation of yours? I didn't find anything on him through a quick google search. Also, @Themerlinhawk has informed me that he wished to play a son of Zatanna as well, albeit her son with John Constantine. You both could still play these characters as half-brothers, and sorcerers can be different enough that they have different styles and niches so I'm not concerned about power redundancy or anything like that.
I would recommend that you connect with each other and see if you can flesh out the inevitable shared history a bit. Once that's done, and you have your sheet fully formed you should be good to go.
